well thats a general thing. Its not a shidenkai thing. Dots = less surface area = easier to push the mouse too far into the pad causing scratching. Logically that is a "soft pad" problem rather than a shidenkai problem. Considering the Xsoft shidenka is more like any other artisan in Soft they probably push down quite a bit
