It's only that way due to the emphasis society places on such things. My test scores say nothing about my actual ability to study or to learn. I tested high, without doing assignments or studying. However, nowadays, I know significantly more than my peers from the past, despite not attending college or taking my ACTs or SATs. I can easily create a business (assuming I have the funds of course) without needing to attend college or achieving a high score on a test. Tests do NOT make or break a career.
