basically the thing is that it's very counterintuitive the way mouse aiming works, because we use both arm and wrist at the same time but while arm moves the mouse functionally "rigidly", approximately like translating it, the wrist rotates it around a pivot point that's relatively close to the sensor

so the wrist portion of any mouse movement is linearly proportional in its "sensitivity" to the distance of the sensor from your pivot
