What's messing you up the most is that you're just ignoring a lot of the acceleration/ deceleration that comes from it rising
By the time it's about to bounce you shouldn't have any tension anywhere and you should be trying to visibly slow down to get ready for it
Even if you have to like " preemptively" track upwards since sometimes you do that if it's unclear where it's bouncing/ if your reading isn't up to par yet
