I’m looking for some advice regarding a major sensitivity realization I just had.

For the last 6 years, I’ve played every single game (R6, Apex, CS, Val) on the exact same sensitivity: 34.6cm/360 (800 DPI). I’ve had decent success with it (Master in Apex, Plat/Diamond in R6, Ascendant in Val, and I’m currently Voltaic Platinum Complete in S5 with 215h on Kovaaks in general and only 50h on Voltaic).

I recently moved to Canada for my studies and switched to a laptop setup with different peripherals. While grinding the Deadlock leaderboard, I realized I’ve accidentally been playing on 1600 DPI instead of 800 with my usual in-game sens. This means I’ve been playing at 17.3cm/360 for months without noticing.

Here is my struggle:

• The 34cm feel: Now that I’ve switched back to 800 DPI (34cm), it feels painfully slow, especially for a high-mobility game like Deadlock or Apex.

• The 17cm feel: It feels fast, and I'm worried it might be too jittery for tactical shooters like CS or Valorant.

• The Mid-ground: I’m considering meeting in the middle, around 25cm - 30cm/360, but I’m terrified of "losing" 6 years of muscle memory and hard-earned mouse control.

My questions for you:

• Given that I’m Plat Complete, should I stick to the faster sens since my brain clearly adapted to it?

• Is 25cm/360 a viable "jack of all trades" for someone playing both Deadlock/Apex and CS/Val?

• How much of my "muscle memory" is actually tied to the specific cm/360 versus just raw mouse control that will transfer anyway?
