when I go into an fps game, I just want to land my shots and feel good about it

but I know the shots don't actually matter too much because the shots are shapecasted to make you feel like you can't miss

which is fine.

as fake as it is, I don't care. as long as what I'm trying to do correlates to what is happening on screen, I'm fine with it.

this is why I would solo queue instead of queuing with somebody that isn't close to me.

probably, but I think it's unlikely.
