i have no fucking idea about measurements
do you guys know if running is enough as your only source of exercise?
I remember I used to play a lot better when I used to lift weights
You don't have to do bodybuilding, but getting in some lifts to strengthen your muscles will help you to keep good posture and play without pain.
Hello does anyone know how I can make my wrist and arm withstand more playtime? Over the course of the day I can only play for around 4 hours before my hand starts fatiguing and I start underperforming (feels slow and hard to move) i stretch after every game (I play valorant, so around 4+ batches of stretching for that 4 hours). I also started aimtraining after my playtime and my hand has been feeling more fatigued by the day. I really wanna grind more without my hands deteriorating by the day. Any tips?
you can train the muscles in your forearm/wrist with according exercises. check out the 1HP youtube, they have videos on these.
Hello! I had tendinopathy the past weeks and today everything feels like it should again. I only got a very very minor pain in my wrist still.
When and how do you guys think should I get back into training again?
If I feel any pain on my wrist I personally don’t aim train till it’s 100% gone
i just got back again in aim training after covid recovery and im taking my time slowly improving again but it feels like im starting from the scratch my arm still feels heavy and my reaction time is so slow like back when i had covid
trouble concentrating 😔
how decrease chance of getting hand injury?
Check the wrist stretch and posture guide in #resources. Take frequent breaks and avoid tensing up for extended periods of time.
Caffeine helps me but it's not rly the best solution
Anyone here good with ADHD and stuff related to that? Second, I noticed that I had to move my monitor far back to the point the back of my monitor stand touches my wall. This seems to have helped my gridshot scores, but I'm nearsighted to the point where I need to lean forward to get those improved scores (78k vs 69k-72k). Is this the point where I need to get a monitor arm? I've been looking for one but I learned that I may also need to get a new desk
^putting this under health since it's ultimately a posture thing
I also wonder if this is just a matter of starting to wear my corrective lenses when gaming, but I can't help but think that's a bit problematic in the long run
Hello. During the past years i've developed (probably because of shitty chairs during my office job) a muscular pain in this area. I don't really know precisely what muscles is aching, but even after months of complete stop from both gaming and working as soon as i start working with my right arm or aim with it for several days in a row a kinda acute pain starts coming in there, which i only feel if i move my arm. I've tried countless of stretches and movements during all this time but it didn't have any effect. has anyone had experience with this pain? My finances right now are not the best and I don't know if i can afford therapists so i wanted to know if someone knew at least some good stretches to make the pain a bit less, cause sometimes even studying with my pc becomes stressing with it.
I think you should visit a doctor. And therapists are people to help you mentally mostly if im not wrong even if they have a degree
I think he was referring to a physical therapist
ah okay
then that makes sense I guess
I never knew theres physical therapist
yo gamers! I wanted to extend an invitation to anyone interested in joining me on my show Checkpoint where you and I can sit down and try to explore and improve your mental for about an hour. we can talk about your tilt, your training schedule, or maybe that thing that gets in your way from climbing
Here’s a sample of my recent show:

lmk if you're interested and tell your friends!
Careful with adjusting stretches so it "hurts more" to "get in there more" if you do them without the advice of a doctor. Personal experience lol.
Hey all - 1HP is live right now going through a full body stretching routine so if you want to take a break and get moving with us

lately i have seen big improvements and so i just got wrist pain, im tensing a bit but not too much and when i barelly hold my mouse i still feel it, what should i do?
i woke up this morning with an extremely sore wrist on my mouse hand and advice?
does anybody have a video that i can watch on hand stretches for wrist pain, I've been getting wrist pain a little and its bothers me very much.
https://bit.ly/wristandpostureguide @cosmic folio
There’s a YouTube vid within
I feel sharp pains in my right wrist when im doing target switching scenarios
thank you 🙏🏼
does grip matter when it comes to health for ur fingers or wrist? like, could i use any grip as long as it doesnt directly hurt?
Hi, is there a way to routinely self-diagnose hand/wrist health, or would seeking a physiotherapist be better? If so, what sources are there?
1hp had a video about it. palm is the easiest on the hands, but claw and fingertip is alright aswell. just make sure you keep a neutral wrist position
generally im pretty sure you cant self diagnose
you should ask a professional imo
ok
i m guessing then one finger claw and one finger palm for e.g isnt very good health wise?
This is another episode of HP Boost - where I give you guys tips on how to be a more healthy gamer through my adventures as an Esports Physical Therapist.

Hm yeah I mean preferably if it's a professional, idk where to even stary looking for an esports physiotherapist in my city, but thanks for the response
maybe try just looking through the 1hp youtube things

Wrist pain is by far the MOST common complaint I get when I work with pros and gamers. And the first thing they often encounter online are resources telling them to rest, brace, just do stretches! Hello guys, when I do aim training in kovaak, I always get pain in my upper back (side of my mouse), idk why
am i gripping my mouse too hard ? should I play relaxed ? i don't perform very well if I don't grip my mouse hard but it's stressful
back pain doesnt come from gripping your mouse too hard
its prob your posture
if it happens, check on how you sit. do you have round shoulders for example or hunchback
no I take care of my posture
I even exercise
And I have no back problem except when focusing hard on my aim
yeah but when you are under pressure and fully focused on something else, you might be in a weird position or something
or you tense up in your back
when I slowly lower the wrist/palm on the desk it vibrates (in a default arm position forearm is on the table and etc) should that be like that ?
I keep having hand pain and low scores when doing popcorn voltaic easy what do i do
my right shoulder(aiming arm) keeps lifting up and i noticed my aim gets shaky or tensed maybe
any help is it because of my posture or maybe table?
The more you play the less the shakyness will get, probably lifting ur shoulder from feeling tense or tryna put pressure to feel comfortable from being shaky.
Do our smoothness routine
s-routines
Smoothness and precision
Looks weird and sort of like you're trying to give us the finger discreetly
Really though I'd say as long as you're not tensing or feeling strain it's probably fine
Lmao. If only. But thanks
carpals shaking when i do very fast and reactive aim training, why is thius?
in the picture it looks like you have a slight external rotation in your wrist. maybe its just a bad shot, but make sure you keep it in a neutral position
Yeh, my mouse is usually under the monitor so to get a good shot i had to just hold it to the right tho. Thanks anyways
Should i be concerned with a tingling feeling that happens every now and then
It is on the bottom left of my wrist
stop playing with pain and address the issues causing it
looking at your message history: you are playing 2 hours a day thats already too much
you dont have enough desk space and your mousepad is way too small so you probably arent playing with an optimal posture
and yeah watching your handcam video you are primarily aiming with your wrist because of the small mousepad, way too much ulnar deviation
no wonder you get pain
How long does it take for numbness to go away in the 4th and 5th finger? Have had it in my middle finger a bit as well and since a few days ago I quit using my pc and started exercises and resting to help it heal.
tingling means, the nerve is compressed somewhere. its not really comparable to an injury as much. it will go away, when you provide decompression to the according area. for the 4th and 5th finger, it doesnt have to be in your hand, but can also be in the shoulder area.
In this video I go over how I helped professional call of duty player "ASSAULT" resolve his pinky-sided numbness of his right hand he was dealing with during the CDL season (2021). check out these 2 videos for some exercises
Alrighty, I'll try them out. Thanks.
Why do my fingers start to hurt after only a short time of playing I do my stretches before I play
I'll lower it down to 30
lower what down to 30?
you need more desk space
thats from your handcam video
get a bigger mousepad, adjust your sens in a way where you aim more with your arm and avoid radial and ulnar deviation atleast in that extreme way you are doing in that picture
my time is what i meant. I'm on purchasing a new mousepad right now
ah okay good, wouldnt hurt to do some stretches either look at the pins in this channel
can any1 help with some eye issues?
i get this stabbing pain my eyes sometimes
like when u dont get enough sleep , u get eye pain , that sort
I am assuming it's cause my eyes are strained from looking at my computer for too long
any1 know any solution?like how often I should take breaks?or how i can fix that?
i've been messing around with ergonomics for a couple months now so I might be able to help.
how close is your face to the monitor? Try sitting farther back a bit and see if it helps with eye strain.
if it doesn't, you could also adjust screen brightness. It might be too high.
Another option is a program like flux that lowers bluelight of the screen later in the day. Windows has it's own option for this too but I forgot what its called. It will look very yellow the first day but you get used to it and not notice it after a couple of days.
other things to consider:
are you sitting correctly?
is your desk proper height for your chair height?
if your desk is too high, you might be leaning forward in tense situations without realising.
this can cause your neck and shoulders to strain more than usual
also since leaning forward is putting you closer to the screen, you might be squinting more leading to eye strain
@split hull well i do lean forward in intense situations when i am playing valorant ,also there are small targets and I am about 2 feet away from my monitor so I do have to lean in
The recommended minimum distance is about 2ft. But everyone also has different levels of near/far sightedness so adjustments are naturally made.
Also since you play Valorant a lot, I'm assuming you lean in while holding angles and focusing hard on the area around your crosshair? If you do, you could try looking away at something far in your room in between rounds to relax your eyes.
I used to do the same thing, but in fps games that are not tac shooters, I'm not holding angles much so I don't really lean in anymore.
If you've been having this problem for a long time though, I would go see a doctor first. There could be other underlying issues you're not aware of.
@split hull hmm,ok I'll go see the doctor maybe.Cause I used like eye pain when i was younger but it was rarely. But,during high school I didn't have much time to sleep juggling between schools and other stuff,so I slept like 2-3 hours a day or sometimes almost not sleeping for 2 days. After doing that for a year my body crashed one day and I been getting this ever since
now I sleep a lot better with good hours but I still sometimes wake up with this feeling
tbh it could be that or just my eye strain from video games who knows
How do I stop getting burn out so easy on every game I play idk why it happens it just randomly happens like yesterday I was having a lot of fun for the past 2 weeks I have had a lot of fun but today I don’t want to play the game and want to play a different game but all the other games I played I was burnt out of them as-well ( I am pretty active guy that has hobbies etc)
Normal answers ( don’t want to sound disrespectful) take a break I’ve done that multiple times each time I come back worse and get burnt out easier find a new hobby I have two hobbies try a different game I have tried over 20 this year play less I have done that I still get burnt out easily try play a different game genre I have tried majority of them I only like pvp and shooting games not warzone 🤮 and I don’t know what else to do should I just accept it ?
If you dont find them fun then gaming is prolly not for you
no need to force something you dont enjoy
i guess it's time to accept being a casual gamer 😔
but really u need motivation if u don't have that you will most likely not find any game that will keep you engaged all the time
if u just wanna play for fun with different games i guess casual it is
Im the same
I don’t want to play “casual” I want to play a higher level of gaming
I just stop until I feel like playing again
Its not an obligation to play videogames
🤷♂️
It feels like it
Its not
Not in a weird way
When I’m saying it but if I’m not playing games idk what else to do (I don’t think we allowed to have conversation here but I understand what you are saying)
Yeah I havent really found a solution to that
The best ive come up with is just accept, at least for the time being, that youll get bored of things quickly and make peace with it
I grew up playing games since I was like 5 or 6 I didn’t play much I normally watched my brother and cousins play but now when I’m not gaming it just feels weird and not uncomfortable bit extreme to say that but I hope I’m making sense and I bought a pc now I’ve always wanted one so I kinda feel like I wasted my money
I just got to accept it I guess
At least thats the best Ive come up with
Perhaps there is a better way to go about it
Who knows
There probably is an answer to it you just got to wait and see
Probably an internal answer ( not trying to sound weird)
Go find something new you enjoy. Right now, you just play, because you don't know what else to do and because of the feel of waste of money. If you don't have the drive to compete/play, you won't get better. Keep going like this won't make you happy.
@eternal abyss
@eternal abyss
Thanks bro appreciate it
How do I know I won’t regret my decision in the future
Why should you regret your decision, if you are happy, compared to not being happy?
I think I will regret it
I don’t want to take the risk of just waiting to see what will happen
it doesnt mean you have to quit gaming completely. but just forcing yourself to play a lot without the right mindset wont get you anywhere. just take a few days off to think about what you would like to do, what you enjoy and what your drive to play video games is.
So you're just gonna play games while being bored/hating it?
think about it this way: if you dont enjoy playing, what do you have to lose
Yeah what's the point of doing something you don't enjoy? That's like telling someone who doesn't enjoy reading to read a book a day
Will do but what should I think about it like idk what to say to myself
Tbh when you put it that way but I don’t hate games or bored I’m just burnt out tbh with you
Are you sure you're burnt out and not depressed or something then?
This video series is an educational project sponsored by Google.
Aside from making time for exercise, eating a proper diet, and getting enough sleep each night, there are other things we need to consider and incorporate into our life to help us recover from burnout. Some things to consider are how long of a break or vacation we need to take to g...
I wouldn’t call my self depressed I’m only 15 I don’t really see myself as someone that could be depressed idk what that really means tbh with you is it when your really sad and stuff and sit in bed ?
bruh im dying my shoulder keeps lifting up and it hurts now like my shoulders tensing up so much i think
Has your burnout led to your depression? People who are burned out can become depressed. It can start as burnout and progress to depression. Are you curious whether you're burnout, depressed or both?

This video was good but I didn’t learn much from it I can’t relate tbh cause I don’t have a job etc
A job will definitely make you appreciate playing games more
From experience
I’m not old enough but I help my dad sometimes with his work
Like the lady in the video I don’t want to self diagnose but I don’t want to really answer cause it might lead to a self diagnose if that makes sense and I don’t want that
What would somebody do to get it check out tho
talk to a psychologist
Idk how to ask my parents those types of questions idk why I feel awkward when talking about anything like this to them or just alot of stuff in general but I would rather not get into that online
its like that for a lot of people. you dont have to talk to your parents about everything. thats what psychologists are there for. they are not allowed to talk to others about it and you dont have a relationship to them. the first step is always the hardest, but you got this.
How would I go to a psychologist if I don’t feel comfortable enough to ask my parents if I can go to one (not trying to sound disrespectful here btw thanks for the help)
I sometimes don’t know how to word stuff properly and it comes out to sound disrespectful
I don’t mean it
thats what i mean with the hard first step. its not a weakness to seek for help. its a sign of strength in my eyes atleast and for a lot of others too. i dont know, where you are from, how healthcare works there and if there are psychologists you can talk to for free without telling your parents, but you probably wont get around that
Thanks for the encouragement I really appreciate it but I don’t think I’m ready yet to take a big step like that in my life I will just wait until I’m 18 and can go by myself to see a professional about it
burnout from gaming and you're 15
impossible tbh
maybe health problems u don't know so it's better to get a professional help
Very possible to get burnout from gaming at his age.
Reason is because of how accessible technology is these days now and they dont appreciate things anymore.
because you know kid = energy 100% unless complications
When i was 15 i had a bad laptop and id play gta 4 at like 12 fps and enjoy the shit out of it
I appreciated things more when i dont have something
After acquiring a gaming pc, everything is just dull and boring, all the new games just seems boring after a few hours.
Games are just shit these days u cant blame him. His standards are probs too high and games just cant match the standards anymore
Ur mindset is very important at ur age. In a few years ur gonna be studying for exams which basically decides ur future. If u dont improve ur mindset, ur gonna be in a very bad habit of procrastinating and most likely ending up depressed because you have no motivation. You should definitely talk to someone about this. It doesnt have to be a medical professional. You could ask your family members like older brothers or sisters or talk to ur friends at school and ask what they do after school etc. Consider motivating urself into improving on something. try getting into boxing, basketballet or AIM TRAINING!! (SUPER FUN). Anyways,i highly recommend talking to someone about this as ive experienced this aswell. Feel free to friend me on discord and we can talk about this.
I have no irl friends and idk how to aim train I just do random stuff on kovaaks how would I do it properly I have exams in 2 weeks from now it’s not finals it’s mid terms and what do I even talk about like I am burnt out from gaming or something or what (sorry if that last part sounded kinda disrespectful I don’t mean it)
I have hobbies aswell like cooking and boxing
You mentioned not being able to talk to your parents. How is your relationship with them?
Awkward tbh we only talk about the basic stuff like how was school and what we going to eat or go outside to eat
Maybe that could be playing a role. Do you have anyone you can talk to? Also is your relationship with your parents "I just live with them" or "they are harmful to be around"?
No no not harmful they don’t hit me or do any of that stuff
But I don’t have anyone I can talk to about this type of stuff I don’t have any irl friends (not trying to make you feel bad for me or not trying to sound weird) but my old freinds I talk to not that much and I don’t think I can have this type of conversation with them cause we aren’t as close
I completely understand man. I was in your same position. I couldn't tell my parents anything. If you brought this issue up with your parents, how would they react? I think a doctor's visit is probably the best thing you could do right now. Any form of depression-like symptoms can be caused by dozens of health complications, like nutrient deficiency, sleep apnea, etc. It's imperative you correct this early in life because, like me, you'll end up wasting years because you can't do anything.
If I were to ask they would say why would you be depressed you have everything etc and like you can’t be depressed etc or anything like this they would say it’s a waste of time to go doctors one thing I’m always told is I always look at the negatives in life by giving my opinion but I don’t think I’m saying anything negative how would I change something like that
All this is very confusing right now idk what to do or say
That doesn't sound good with how quickly you'd think they'd invalidate your feelings. I would imagine that makes you feel bad, especially if they do it often, which it seems like they do. If they are unreliable, it's very hard to think of any alternate paths to take. They're supposed to be there to support you through everything. They should never be obstacles in your path to betterment. If you think your mental health could be better, they should be happy to help you in any way they could. I don't know what to do in this situation then. I don't have experience with something like this, sorry. Is there like a school counselor or something you can talk with?
I do online school So I don’t have a school counselor etc but I have a dog I talk to but you don’t have to apologize bro you tried your best to help me that’s all that matters you are a good person
And I watch anime that makes me laugh / comfortable and stuff
Thanks. I wish I could help more. It's a good sign that you still are enjoying stuff though. You mentioned having other hobbies. That's good.
that's really good
Yo, how can i stop being so sensitive and depressed?
do you get enough sun light
being sensitive in what way
what makes you the more depressed
or what is that makes you break down the most
How do I get less tilted because as of recently I’ve been getting so tilted its been making not want to play Games
It’s good to take a couple of days off but do stuff and try to better your mindset be more open minded I’m guessing you get titled cause you are dying and losing etc you just got to remember it’s Just a game it shouldn’t affect you irl and by your bio it says learning the fundamentals of aiming I am aswell your going to die over and over again that’s how gaming works but good luck on your grind (basically Remember it’s just a game)
Idk if this is advice type of talk or not I think it might be health but recently I have a strange sleeping pattern for the last week one day I sleep early then the next I sleep at 10:30 then repeats is this normal
And this normally happens every couple of months idk why
thank you this is very useful
anyone that can help me, i get really cold hands while playing tournaments most likely caused by nervousness and anxiety. right after the tournaments over im warm again
also a bit shaking cause of the nerves
That makes me feel like there may be some underlying issues with your sleep quality/quantity. What wakes you up? The sun? An alarm? Are you saying you go to sleep normally at 10:30 and during this weird bout you go to sleep earlier than that?
also how do you feel when you wake up normally? Is there anything that could be harming your quality of sleep? Like sleeping in a warm room rather than cold, sleeping in a light room rather than dark, sleeping with a bunch of extraneous noise rather than quiet/white noise, like using electronics before sleep? Do you snore?
how long are you sleeping? When I was in university, I barely had any sleep, so when the weekend rolled around, I would sleep extraordinarily longer than usual. So maybe there's something like that going on.\
Otherwise, if everything is fine. You're sleeping in ideal conditions, waking up feeling rested, sleeping long enough for your age (I think you mentioned being 16, so ~8-10 hours). It might just be some weird quirk with your development since you are going through puberty. A doctor's opinion on it would be ideal though.
No it’s later I have been told I snore when I sleep the room is sleep is Not warm or cold when I wake up I don’t feel good like I used to I’m 15 anything that is harming me could be my dog cause he is a very loud sleeper I normal use my phone and then turn it off 15 mins before I go to sleep I sleep for 8 hours last night I only slept for 5 last night I slept at 01:30 am and woke up at 6 ish
This has been happening for the last couple of days
Last time something like this happened was a couple of weeks ago
I’m going to change my room tonight away from my dog I was suggested
It does sound like there are some problems that you could improve.
Sounds like a good idea. If the dog is interrupting your sleep, that could be something to look into. If you noticed it, it probably is a problem.
I think it is the problem because before I got the dog I was sleeping perfectly fine with my cat rip to him tho
any disturbance in your sleep will result in a significantly lower quality even if it wakes you up like once or twice for only a little bit
Yeah I’ll try watch some videos on it I will see how tonight goes
Sounds like a good idea.
The snoring could be a problem as well. It could be an indication of sleep apnea
What’s that
sleep apnea is where you stop breathing for a split second repeatedly
Is it something serious ? Like could I die in my sleep by it ?
I’ll make sure to get this figured out better for me
I'm not sure if you can die from it, but it will definitely hurt your sleep quality
Yeah I’ll watch some videos about it thanks for the help @vapid quail
Np. I would try the other things first, like having a cooler room (or sleeping with less blankets) because the body needs to be cold to go to sleep. Also making sure to sleep for 8+ hours and to remove anything that can potentially disturb your sleep. If those are fixed and you still are waking up feeling tired, it could be sleep apnea, but you would need a doctor for that
Okay if it is still happening I will go get it checked out
Sounds good. A lack of sleep is a detriment to everything. Your brain, your body, etc. It's good that you are trying to fix it
Is it normal for someone who doesn't take walks to feel tense and burning muscles after 15min? This is in a hilly neighborhood on the road for reference.
I'm getting pain in my index finger, I tried rebinding shoot to something else but it make my aim much worse
Do you do any kind of hand/wrist stretches?
If what you are feeling is an occlusion effect from the blood going into your calf muscles, and the burning is lactic acid from being pushed to their limit, then yes.
When should I stop pushing them then? I did a bunch of stretching before walking and it started burning more or less early on in the walk.
It would be hard to say. For their capacity to improve, you do need to work them past comfortability. The calves are one of the most resilient muscles in the body because they are designed for endurance. I think you're fine doing what you're doing as long as they can take it. A little burning and increased blood in the muscle is normal.
I think it would be very hard to overwork them. I wouldn't stop doing the walking if they burn just a little. If it gets to the point where it's almost unbearable, you could take a couple minute break to clear the lactic acid. It's up to you. I think there should be no worries.
Eventually they'll adapt and you'll need greater distances to bring out the lactic acid.
Yeah, I stopped after the one lap I wanted to do because it was getting unbearable, especially towards the end since it's an incline.
Fair enough. You've worked them plenty at that point. That should be what they need to adapt.
I've done longer walks before, like an hour or longer, but I've never stretched before one. I thought it would help more than it did.
Well depending on how you stretched, you could lower the strength in the muscle. So it could've made it harder.
I did some Achilles stretching which is the only thing I saw when searching for Back to heel stretch.
Did that require you to bring your foot and toes pointed up?
It mainly applied pressure in the calves and thigh area for me tbh, which I'm not sure is the point of the stretch but that's what I was getting out of it.
It's more or less doing half a split squat.
that kind of replicates the move I was describing on the back foot I believe
but instead of the foot moving, it's your leg
There's some research out there saying stretching before exercise doesn't help performance or help prevent injury. It might even lower strength. I don't know enough to say what you should do one way or the other. Just something to keep in mind. If it helps you warm up, that's good though.
is it better to play with lights on if so is there also a certain light bulb i can buy that can help in terms of health and also not be super bright
Excuse me
Recently, I feel my fingers can’t hold the mouse. They are weak especial thumb and forefinger.
It is hard to micro-adjust by fingers. What problem?
Hi guys, wondering about Alpha Brain and the claimed benefits from taking it. I was curious if anyone knows of a cheaper alternative?
Coffee only really covers a small portion though, I drink green tea every day so I should be covered there.
I was writing stuff with a pencil today and I couldn’t write well because my hand felt shaky and weak. Are there any exercises I can do?
Also could this contribute to having shaky aim?
Does adderal actually help with aim and aim training?
It seems like it does. The individual response is variable, but people with and without ADD seem to benefit. I don't think you should try to get it for that reason though. If you actually have ADD and can't concentrate on the game, any drug could help so long as it treats the ADD. If you are looking for the stimulatory benefit, I would caution against it, especially if it's obtained illegally. So long as you're a fast caffeine metabolizer, I would try coffee and green tea since those are health promoting. Coffee for the caffeine and green tea for the L-theanine. As for how to know if you are a fast metabolizer, there are genetic tests I believe, but all you need is your own personal experience and if caffeine negatively affects you or not.
Can I stay in fairly good shape if i only train 30 min strength a day?
As long as you are getting stronger and progressing on the exercises. It's certainly better than 0 minutes.
very interesting, yeah i do have adhd and its prescribed to me. thank you! I am a fast metabolizer
I was writing stuff with a pencil today and I couldn’t write well because my hand felt shaky and weak. Are there any exercises I can do?
Also could this contribute to having shaky aim?
If anyone has wrist pain I know a video that can help. I used to have wrist pain (I’m a wrist aimer) and it really sucked but I decided to use this stretch exercise or whatever it’s called and it really helped my wrist
The comments also provide a very good feedback
See How I avoided Wrist Surgery by doing these 1 minute exercises just once or twice a day. Also, see links and ideas in this description on how you can help relief your wrists further! Be sure that if you experience pain with these exercises, that you either do them more gently, and/or consult with your physician.

And has positive feedback coming from the like ratio
if you mean good shape as in "looks like u lift weights", sure
as long as youre lifting daily and focusing on compounds in the right rep ranges
cant go too heavy or ur gonna take forever to rest which pwns ur 30 minute idea but as long as ur on the upper end of a hypertrophic rep range its pretty doable
if u mean good shape as in literal health benefits, just take up running daily for 30 mins
not that resistance training isnt good for health
just that running is probably better unless you already get ur 'dose' of cardio elsewhere
i just dont wanna get fat lol. but yeah, might consider running then. i do get some cardio from PE in school and karate 3 times a week. but we ll see. thanks 🙂
if you dont wanna get fat, eat less calories
exercise in general doesnt raise ur TDEE a ton
it's great for your health, so certainly not a bad choice either way
ight
honestly just do what you enjoy
if you find you like running, great
if you find you like lifting, great too
ok, i ll try em both out. thanks
how often should i take breaks while aim trainin? (i play like 1 - 4 hrs a day). Thanks
I haven’t played games in 2 days I honestly feel so much better
stretch often, breaks are fine whenever you feel like you're starting to miss or degrade in performance
aim training up to 4 hours a day? probably not even beneficial to train that much
or youll burn out faster and lose out on training you could have done more consistently
wdym
4 hours of conscious practise where you focus on your weaknesses is probably not possible
but up to you in the end
wdym with "not possible" anything is possible?
do what you want
ah alright
therefore i can concentrate for long periods of time where as others might find it boring
aim training isn't particularly mentally draining
and for you to be able to do 4 hours of just aim training it seems like you're just mindlessly doing it
because if you actually focus you'll be drained
it's also not physically taxing (for me at least?)
as long as you're not bored and lose motivation i think ur fine doing it everyday
getting bored + losing motivation will definitely lead to burnout
aim training for that long is really boring 😵💫
at least play something fun lol
therefore i can concentrate for long periods of time where as others might find it boring
but ok
time to be a speedrunner
i did get master complete in just about 140 hrs lol
i haven't been able to play shooters in a while, or aim trainers. i'm afraid of the skill i've lost and being upset with myself because of it. i've also just felt so tired and haven't enjoyed any recent shooters, i just don't know what to do
if you dont enjoy recent shooters i highly doubt a suddenly new one would get you back into them, focus on fixing whatever is making you feel this way if you think thats the cause
or you could be just over shooters
I felt that way until I got back I to Apex. Recent shooters haven't been that great tbh. MW 2019 was the last one I personally really enjoyed, and even that wasn't too fun after 400-500 hours.
Edit: I got into kovaaks nonetheless because I personally just really enjoy being able to improve on a skill and see immediate effects (score and mouse feel)
So I moved room away from all the noise and it’s cold here aswell and it’s 02:00 and I still can’t sleep like my eyes are wide awake so the moving didn’t change it or help made it worse
6 and half hours later I only got like 3 hours of sleep
@young sky gl for the day
I feel better tbh
Idk why
Like more active
But I moved me bed again to a different room so hopefully this one works out I’m gonna try get 8 -9 hours of sleep because of growing etc and idk what else
Darkness, silence and cool for sleeping. Plus spend 10+ minutes outside at sunrise and sunset, get your circadian rhythms on point. @young sky
Have you watched any of Matthew Walker or Andrew Huberman on sleep? Legit neuroscientists from top universities
I go outside in the mornings not night
There is one thing that keeps me up but I don’t know if it’s against the rules of the server to say or not
Okay it’s not I read it but I will blank out the name just incase( any mods I’m sorry if it is against rules just tell me please) I watch a lot of ||hentai|| like a lot any time I try to go to sleep it’s just on my mind even when I’m outside it’s on my mind and idk how to stop it like I watch like 1-2 hours a day
In the morning as soon as I wake up I start thinking about and at night aswell
🤨

@young sky You'll get to the point where u hate the animation and overtime you will learn to hate the art cause most hentai are dogshit
So is anime
I used to watch probably around 7000+ hours of anime clocked in
I stopped watching cause the animation was so shitt in all the anime it was actually pissing me off
So it isn’t something that I should be concerned about I’ve been thing this for about a year
U have porn addiction, Quit for a week if u cannot jack off without any porn whatsoever
Is it possible to injure a finger on the same mouse hand that you don't use at all during aim training or am I just overthinking an injury that could be from somewhere else? Job is physical in nature but I've been working at it for almost half a year now
my back right shoulder keeps pulsing
I’ve done this and right now it’s 00:19 and I can’t go to sleep I’m wide awake and for the past two days I have had 4 hours sleep
And I’m starting to feel bad if that makes sense
I've got bad wrist pain in both wrists. Could this be from gaming or weightlifting? I workout 2 times a day if that helps any
From what you’ve said, you have more specific issues that prevent sleep. I have no advice about those but would suggest you find an expert.
Okay will do thanks for the help
How do I get more energy
Caffeine and more caffeine 👍 👍
You may know this but sleep more
And for me when I workout i feel more energized but that may not be normal
or stop caffeine and let your body make enough instead of replacing it. Its better on long term (as far as I know)
I doubt it. I consume at least 300mg caffeine daily and sometimes peak with over 800mg usage. I am fucking cracked.
I get that you're cracked rn, but its inconsistent. If you don't drink caffeine then you're not cracked means you always have to pump it into your body
If I don't have my daily dose of caffeine I basically turn into a completely different person. Caffeine makes me go bonkers
Sweet tea
Ive made multiple comments on this already but I am still lost to as what is happening so im coming to this channel. I have been playing valorant since it came out on and off. Every time i get a week back into the game i burn out hard for a few days then get back on track. I then will burn out for 3 ish days every week or so like clock work. This is the main reason I choose to play on and off cause it gets frustrating. I just got back into the game about a week or two ago and for the first week i was doing better than ive ever played, and was really confident for playing ranked. This was until i got my usual burn out, i was worse than usual but i assumed it would go away. A week later im still stuck playing like an iron 50% of the time. Its super confusing, I also have lost my skill in piano and other mechanical things. Its not even all my aim, my mechanical and gun handling is also gone. My body feels stiff aswell. Im 16 so I could possibly be growing but I doubt it, idk
im incredibly hard on myself as well so these things make me lose hope
val and aim in general is 100% mental. if you feel burnt out, just stop playing. also dont be hard on yourself its just a game lol
its not just val tho, its everything
it's also kinda like, my body hates me lmao. everytime im ready to quit i get better.
Hello. I'm a typist, so I pretty much live by my PC. Lately I've been getting some burning sensation around the area I've shown on a related pic. It's pretty mild, but I'm still worried, because I don't want to have RSI or something. I've taken two-day break from aimtraining and everything was fine, but now I have this feeling again. Should I take a longer break and see what happens? Or should I seek professional help immediately?
I wouldn't say I offer the best health tips, but you should wait around 2-3 days and if it continues then go see a doctor.
Quick question do binaural beats actually work?
it works for SOME type of people
not only is it expensive it's also a waste of time
- placebo
just listen to music bro
same thing tbh
validity of binaural beats is questionable, there isn't any conclusive evidence of it
how do I get my vitamin D if the UV index here is always above 5
ah thanks, but is there no other way to get it from the sun like right as it's rising or during sunset. Would it still be effective then?
im not entirely sure how much the radiation spectrum changes at dawn/dusk vs during the day
i wouldnt be surprised if it scales pretty proportionally across the spectrum but ive never researched it
you need UV to get vit D, so no matter what youre still trading some cellular damage
tho at a moderate level, the other benefits probably outweigh
just get reasonable sunlight and supplement with like 3k IU of vit D (or whatever an actual doctor/dietician advises you)
it's like one of the cheapest supplements, and also one of the most positively backed by research
I think holding breath for 1:30 is far above average, isnt it?
Thank you! Will check it out
see a doctor, eat well if youre not already
whats with the breath holding
HAHAH holding breath with aiming would be poggers
does anyone else experience a slight twitch/jitter to their aim the following days after a heavy arm workout'
Aiming in general is 100% mental my man, just play when you feel good
as nice as this sounds this is a load of bullshit
my aim isnt bad tho, just for some reason lately i forget how to do everything... No spray control, no gun mechanics, no aim ect.
hows your physical health? any underlying mental health issues you might suspect?
you could get blood work done to rule out certain issues easily
bruh how
Blood work for aiming
yeah who would have thought that a physical issue in your body might affect your performance
waste of time to even reply to you
Physically i jsut feel stiff and tired, which is why i suspect it has something to do with growing. Ill probably just ride it out and see what happens
are you underweight?
No, im pretty much average. I eat a lot to get a bit of bulk (not too much) but ive been doing that for months
Healthy snack choices?
Same
Do you have a wrist strengthening routine?
Since you're a typist the more than likely scenario is that your posture for typing is hurting you. When typing you ideally want a negative incline, which at first thought might seem strange since keyboards typically have legs in the back to raise it up, but a negative incline allows your arms, shoulders, neck, and back to relax more while also promoting blood flow. If you cannot achieve this, a neutral wrist position also works well. Just make sure to not have your wrist tilted up as this will cause a wrist extension and reduce blood flow to the wrist and hands. If you use a wrist pad/rest, stop using it immediately, it only makes it worse by adding pressure to the tendons. Before and after typing for a while you should do wrist extensor and flexor stretches, but never to the point of pain. Try all this for a week or so and if it doesn't improve ask your doctor about potential CTS (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome) which is exactly what you have given the area of the sensation.
like randomdeaddude said even pure aiming is 80% mental
whats the rest 20%
everything else
meaning?
skill can sometimes slow down or increase faster and everything depends how you approach to it, idk but thats what he answered me
im asking what the rest 20% is that defines your aiming ability/potential
if it depends on how you approach it then why doesnt everyone approach it in the most efficient way?
kiku wtf else do you think it is

well no shit
my point is that your potential has limits, some more than others
its toxic positivity at best imo if you tell people that you can be insane if you just try hard enough
when tf did anyone say that lol
its implied most of the time someone didnt necessarily say it right now
It will put you at a disadvantage while gaming because you will only have 1 hand available
No, I don't. I do stretch routines everyday, but I don't know anything about wrist strengthening routines. Can you link me something about them?
Yeah honestly the stretches werent enough for me. I felt better after making them stronger

why does this part of my arm hurt after working out and playing games
Massive carpal
Watch out or your tendons will tear and nerves will leak
Or you may fracture your wrist
Lightly tap it with a hammer to make sure your bones are dense enough
are you being serious or joking?
Recently my wrist has been popping a lot is that a bad thing?
wear them less
only way
or use in ear ones
going to not play for a couple of days until my wrist gets better
idk man, I also have that
maybe it's evolution
the popping is bubbles
meaning our body puts air into our wrist to make it lighter or something
so we can aim better, it's like reducing weight of mouse
you solved it
which arm?
Right
Both when gaming
When I’m gaming it’s my fingers that hurt (left for keyboard) but all the time that part of the right hand is sore even right now
what grip do you use for the mouse
Palm when I used finger it was worse
also if your left hand hurts and it's just the fingers, then you probably just need to stretch them before and maybe in between rounds/games depending on what you play
I do it just feels the same
Like right after
And they don’t feel free
If that makes sense
after you're done playing, or after a game?
Before sometimes in between rounds and after game
how are you stretching them?
I watch this video
It’s just basic hand stretches
It’s not that my Body’s weak like I workout and stuff and I’m pretty healthy
you didn't link the video
Oh alright my bad didn’t know you wanted it
Two seconds am I allowed to send it here ?
yeah
Famous Physical Therapists Bob Schrupp and Brad Heineck demonstrate basic exercises for the hand and wrist designed to increase the reflexes and decrease hand/wrist pain for Gaming and E-Sports. The program is slightly over a minute and should be done once or twice an hour.

Irl?
nah, but i've watched their videos before
Oh alright lol
so from watching most of it, those are ok i guess, but personally those aren't enough

I do stretches when I wake up aswell before I workout
it's a longer video, but I found these do more for me than what bob and brad were showing
I'm sure you're aware, but just as a reminder, never stretch to the point of pain
np
Yeah Ik
I’m just gonna need to relax my right arm until it feels better then I’ll be able to play again
Hopefully soon
Stretching is great but unless you build up more endurance in your hands then issues will keep coming back. Try this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoedUZ4OpPY&t=2s
Chilly makes a good point that you don't want to stretch to the point of pain! Good advice
I would also be curious what you do during workouts if you say your arm hurts when you do that as well
Wrist pain is by far the MOST common complaint I get when I work with pros and gamers. And the first thing they often encounter online are resources telling them to rest, brace, just do stretches! Sorry, that’s not going to help in the LONG run. These are just methods for short-term relief. I’m Dr. Hwu, and I’m the esports injury doctor. Over th...
could be Radial tunnel Syndrome
Recently my wrist has been popping a lot is that bad thing ?
does it hurt when it pops?
no
Then you're probably fine
unless you have pain with the pops then I would worry. The popping is just caused by nitrogen gas build up between the joints.
are you skinny/weak forearms?
if its on the pinky side of your wrist might be ecu tendon related
idk
it's my wrist
like if I move it while stretching it pops
i get 9-10 hours of sleep every night, i wake up feel tired within 3-4 hours of beinf awake. any suggestions?
What's your morning routine?
Didn't realize that 1hp was in this discord but their videos are great.
@little jackal had same issue, fixed it by
going to bed 12am to 1am latest and sleeping no longer then 7hrs a day, 6h30m on avg
daily activities like walking, cycling help A TON
I often got pain there when I start playing games
Can someone help?
Is that EST 5PM?
Shows up in your local timezone
Oh cool
wake up 11am, eat breakfast, play games till about 2-4 then workout and go outside and shit, play until dinner eat take break, play till 11pm then go lay down till about 2 then sleep
altho after last night i think it could be not sleeping when my body wants me too, which sometimes i find that hard to tell but last night it was around 12:30am
but sometimes i feel like when my body wants to go to sleep its not around the same time every night, could be wrong but thatsd how i feel sometimes
So you start feeling tired before you work out right?
yes i start getting tired abt 2
i need advice on how to handle calf cramps. I just got a charley horse and I'd rather have any other kind of pain.
I feel like I have the best aim with the xm1 but it makes my forearm sore really quickly, any suggestions to prevent that?
What does this stretch do?
And can you send me it?
for wrist pain, I've found wrist curls be extremely effective
got rid of my pain rly quick
This actually helped me a lot thank you appreciate it alot
rasin toast and a banana and water
Honestly your routine is better than most. The only issues I can think of as to why you get tired quickly is the quality of your sleep and maybe even that you excersice after and not before playing. Most people exercise before they play in my experience, so you could try switching that up and see.
u rekon its like lack of meat and shit good nutrients?
You don't really need meat first thing in the morning tbh. What you need is protein. Try making an egg or two in the morning.
has anyone else here experienced muscle imbalances in the shoulder, arms and pecs? i played 80cm/360 for over 2 years and it was a literal workout whenever i played kovaaks. i was a dumb little cs player who bought into the idea of muscle memory, so i never changed my sensitivity out of fear of playing bad. i also played fortnite on that sens and i would make handcam vids to show how intensely i was moving my arm to show to my friends and have a little laugh. never thought of the health implications though and now its biting my ass.
im not just talking in the morning
which ones my man, I need those too
its the one in the video where u put your arm straight out, make a fist, and with your other hand push down on the fist.
You'll really feel this one
Wrist pain is by far the MOST common complaint I get when I work with pros and gamers. And the first thing they often encounter online are resources telling them to rest, brace, just do stretches! Ah, so you stay tired through out the day?
You are very welcome! I'm glad it helped
thank you
yeah, sorry i ment it as in i wake up, then3-4 hours later im tired
for the rest of the day
and exercising or eating lunch have no impact at all
The possible issues that come to mind are; Not enough water throughout the day, Sleeping TOO much, not enough iron, vitamin D, or vitamin B12 (but don't start taking a bunch of vitamins and supplements, try to get them in food.), and perhaps fatigue from exercising too much. Ideally you want carbohydrates before working out otherwise your body has to use reserves of protein, fat, and carbs for the energy it needs which will inevitably leave you feeling more tired as you are using your energy reserves. If you never take a rest day, you really should as your body needs time to recover.
Bro like my wrist is getting stronger and Im feeling less tickling :D
Carpal tunnel was beating my ass last month
It got to a point where I couldnt even put any strength on it for like 2 days
Started doing the wrist exercises and I feel so much better ong
I assume you meant tingling and not tickling ^
are you doing the exercises from the video or different ones?
Same exercises
nice, I didn't have the pain and tingling myself but doing those and similar ones for me made my aim a lot less shaky and caused me to tense less.
But I added one where you put your hands together around the belly and put some pressure so much relief with that one
Nice thats where I wanna get
If you already had the pain and tingling it definitely would take some more time to build up, but it looks like you're making good progress for sure
Yea the problem was my arm posture
Biggest thing to keep in mind is to not slack off or neglect health after you resolve the problem. Health is a constant thing we must maintain, and not just when we have issues.
I started playing with my wrist unconsciously thats what I think it maight of caused it
did you use a high sensitivity ?
Like my arm wasn't on the desk it was on the air
30cm
But in some scenarios 25cm
If your arm was always in the air that would definitely make it hurt
just making sure you weren't like me a while back using 1600 dpi with default game sens or higher
so basically ~6cm/360
100% do not recommend
Sheesh
I played like that since I was a kid I think
i can tell u i dont workout too much or exercise too much, i do agree its a lack of some sort of vitamins/supplements. ive never really been a healthy eater which ive been improving on lately. ive started taking a multivitamin so im sure that will help, im low on either b6 or b12 i know that because one of them makes me nauseous so i havent been taking them but im trying to find something to take or eat that wont make me sick. do u rekon it could be lack of calories aswell? cause i think i need about 2k calories to maintain my weight ut i eat less than that
dont take vitamins on an empty stomach
i dont
i dont think nausea is an indication that you are deficient on something
when you take it i mean
its not but b6 or b12 makes me naseous
easiest way to tell is get bloodwork done
lack of calories could be an issue as well
yeah i think im just gonna improve my eating see how that goes
How much coca-cola consumption daily/weekly is too much?
can, bottle or 2 liter?
Bottle, 500ml
technichally 1 of those a day is too much if you have it daily
i see, thanks
try cutting it down to every other day if you can first
im already somehow like that, 3/4 a week. sometimes none. i was afraid that was too much
That's not terrible, you just have to remember to drink more water since it's a diuretic.
understood, ty
I learned that i perform better in aiming when i actually focus on my target instead of "looking" at it
how can i increase my focus ofver a long perod of time to aim or play focussed even after 1h aimtraining or a counterstrike overtime game wil like 2h game time?
please tag so i dont miss answers
Eye strain? Consider getting glasses. I came here to post / ask if anyone who doesn’t REALLY need glasses feels better or has reduced eye strain / improved ability to track (fast) targets since they got glasses
i think my eyes are fine, just a lack of concentration and how could i improve there?
I dunno set a timer every 30sec to remind you to focus? Or just realize that you aim better focusing on the target instead of your crosshair works and just work on that until you notice yourself doing it without thinking. Didn’t take me too long to transition in that regard
Yep; glasses are optional but I perform better with them on
Aight this puts me over the edge sitting on the prescription for 2y. Fast strafes finally getting to me
Take a look at "the flow state". There's a lot on the topic but I'm sure a little research could help you with recognizing it and how to stay in it.
You might be interested in some of Huberman’s podcasts. He’s not a fan of flow state for learning - since learning is driven by making and recognizing errors. Flow state is great for performance ofc.
@calm forum not sure but gonna get some glasses soon cause lately i been getting more and more eyestrain and wakeup with blurry vision if I gamed/aimtrained excessively the previous day XD will let u know if they help.
But blinking and eyedrops def help
Everyone posting their celestial scores upon putting glasses on the first time
would be helpful to know what your posture is like while gaming and is your chair/desk setup ideal
if its only happening in valorant maybe you are doing something posturally thats causing it
In the wrist exercise video, when it says 3x20-30" does that mean 3 sets of 20 with 30 second rests? or is it just saying 20-30 reps?
How long should each individual stretch be? (How long do I hold the stretch before transitioning)
That’s “three sets of 20-30 reps” if gym syntax transfers
that makes more sense, ty
Last Samurai is right, it's three sets of 20-30 seconds
awesome, ty!
I’m sorry
should the armrest where i put my arm be the same height than my table?
Depends on your aiming style!
Most people would probably prefer it to be same height as table, but:
-Lower height is very good for high sensitivity aiming with wrist bent around the table’s edge.
-Higher height is very good for topdown aiming, a more fingertippy approach
^ i dont agree with this advice
theres good and bad postures to play with, some edge cases but the same still applies to most people
why the fuck would you play with your wrist bent around the tables edge
I personally take the arm rests off my chair completely for gaming and screw them back on for work and movie nights
If you value your health and wrists, please please please do not play with your wrist bent around the table as it's quite literally the worst thing you can do.
I usually have the arm rest equal or a little lower than my table and the rest of my arm in the table
But for some aim zones i have a lot of friction in arm rest
I took my arm rest off on the side where my mouse is
What do you do with your elbow
If you still use yours I'd recommend it be slightly above the table if anything otherwise your wrist will get fatigued quickly bent upwards.
I'll try that in the next playlist
My desk doesn't have like any depth which is annoying, so my elbow is typically off the table
I usually have my wrist in the table
If and when I can afford a table with more depth I want to be able to rest my entire forearm on the table
Is it okay to send a picture?
of course
This is currently what I'm doing. As I said earlier though I'd like to have more arm on the table.
sometimes i palm a little more
oh i see you have more depth
now it makes more sense in my head
Yeah, and I honestly want more because it forces my monitor to be offset too and kind of throws me off my ideal setup
Am i destroying my wrist or doing something wrong?
I did read something about 90º-100º angle for elbow but i have no idea
As long as you don't let your lower arm "rest" on the tables edge it's fine.
what do you mean with lower arm, the wrist part?
am i not doing that in the picture? ignoring the arm rest of the chair
i guess without the arm rest is the issue
looks insanely painful
From the picture angle i saw it looks fine
but that's why i recommended at least level or higher arm rest
i just made it a little higher and it feels even better
I usually had it equal or below haha
thank you chilly
no problem :)
I know the wrist/hand exercise video said the exercises were for after gaming, but would you recommend doing these before playing as well or a different set to get limber?
All the weighted or resistance ones give yourself a two hour buffer with gaming. They also fatigue your muscles so stacking it with gaming can be a lot. The stretches are good for after anything strenuous for your hands. If you want a specific warm up before you play try something like this
Hey guys in this walkthrough video I tell you how you can warm up your gaming hands and perform an exercise routine just before your gaming session to help you perform better and prevent injuries. I discuss the three major ways a SPECIFIC PHYSICAL warm-up helps achieve this. Our main goal is to warm-up the muscles you are utilizing most frequent...
I see, thank you so much!
anyone know if switching to a new mouse can cause wrist/forearm pain? went from a vipermini to a gpw and it hurty :/
definitely possible, gpw is decently bigger
i had more wrist pain/soreness using a wider mouse
any good info on increasing bloodflow to your brain?
Water and exercise are the biggest ones.
I do drink a lot of water and exercise. I feel like my head is cold, i dont know if that makes sense
my head. I was thinking that if my head is getting good bloodflow, that would mean that my brain is as well
but thats just me theorizing
would make sense tho
I'm obviously not a doctor so take what I say with a grain of salt.
However, do you feel it in your entire head or more on top?
why do you use a sweater while playing dont you get warm?
It's an arm sleeve, not a sweater.
oh
It's for reducing friction of my arm on the mouse pad.
Probably anywhere tbh. I got mine from Academy sports for example. The branding isn't a big deal, more just the texture.
ok thank you
np
just make sure it doesn't have any grip on the sleeve
ok, also if i dont feel any sweat/friction on my forearm is it still worth the price?
They are relatively inexpensive, usually no more than 20$usd . While you might not feel the friction, there will always be friction as that happens anytime 2 objects move across each other. The sleeve will just reduce it and make it more consistent.
Obviously you don't have to get one or listen to me, but in my quest for knowledge it seems effective and used by most, if not all, esports players
okay thank you once again
I have hard time focusing on the game (enemy, how to peak etc.)
the 4 main thing of every How to videos and posts in existence:
sleep, diet, exercise, meditation
u sure ur already doing good on any of that
This is legit OP, close your eyes for 15 mins and just focus on your breathing, your eyes feel as fresh as they do in the morning
My wrist has been hurting really badly lately while I play, I think from overuse and tensing too much
What should I do!
?*
Should you have your monitor at an angle so you don't have to bend your head to look straight at it?
Do exercises and stretches for your wrist and forearm. You find videos on that on the 1HP YT. Reduce the playtime at the beginning if needed and work on not tensing up.
is it normal that my forearm gets tired around 3/4 of the fundamental training?
im not sure, how long it takes to get there, but take small breaks if needed or exercise for more endurance.
welcome
Try to relax your arm and especially your wrist
You are prolly tensing
It rly shouldnt hurt after 3/4th, maybe try some streches
I try to relax but then i feel like im really slow, for now it doesnt hurts, it just feels tired/tense
Yeah you should get into the habit to not tense as fast as possible
Ull ruin your wrist and scores
i've recently gotten this massive aching pain in my right shoulder that goes all the way down my arm as well, its been 3 days since it started and has been gradually getting worse. starting to make it hard for me to stay on fps games for even like an hour, is there anything i can do to help this pain and what may have caused it?
get checked on by a professional.
Some good strategies - walk 2 minutes out of every 30 minute sitting session. This has been shown to completely stave off normal reductions in blood flow as you sit for extended periods of time.
On the nutrition side of things, nitrate containing foods (beets, arugula) and blueberries have all been shown to improve brain blood flow. As already said though, dehydration can also limit blood flow, so drinking adequate fluids throughout the day is a prerequisite.
Question is it bad that my wrist hovers ? I hate having my wrist on my pad it just feels weird
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75rKw0lR0oA&ab_channel=1HP this is a pretty aggravated example, but it might apply to you anyway
What is the best way to grip a mouse? I offer my perspective as an Esports Physical Therapist. I look at two popular CS:GO professionals grip and how it might impact their wrist / hand health. Then I give you the #1 thing you need to know about mouse grip and gaming

thank you so much. this is what i needed to know.
@plucky haven I drink a lot of coffee each day. Is it true that coffee dehydrates?
It doesn't in the true sense of the word. After you drink a cup of coffee your body has gained some fluid. However, it is less efficient at hydrating you than a cup of water, which is where it got it's bad rep from.
I see. I drink so much coffee that I notice my pee is clear. Hopefully that means Im on the right track
unless thats not a good gauge
You don't want clear urine
That does sound like a bit much, which might be worth dialing back for other reasons. But you don't want crystal clear urine - you want light yellow.
It should ideally be slightly yellow, but how much coffee are you drinking to have clear piss?
I'd guess you are not dehydrated, so the other strategies would take higher priority.
what does clear urine signal, if thats not ideal?
Foods containing nitrates also definitely help blood flow, but if you need even more than that there are supplements that work to increase nitric oxide levels and NO precursors
like what supps?
My family genetics seem to have low blood flow. I've noticed this pattern in my dad's side
*by low blood flow i meant inefficient
I've taken niacin w/flush, and that works amazingly, but I find that it makes my heart pound and stomach churn lol
I can't pull the link up rn because I'm on dogshit school wifi but just look up gorilla mode nitric, it's meant as a preworkout but it doesn't have any stimulants (caffeine, etc.) and it works to improve general blood flow in your body. It's quite potent so a half dose of one scoop should be more than enough to have you cruising and chilling
oh nice. I take gorilla mode smooth
I'll check that out
For fifty years, Niacin has been extensively used to support healthy metabolism and circulation. Through many clinical trials, Niacin has proven to be effective at elevating HDL (good cholesterol) and lowering LDL (bad cholesterol). It also helps widen your blood vessels which helps your arteries relax by increasing Nitric Oxide synthase.
Maybe increasing nitric oxide synthase would be more beneficial in the long run?
I dont know jack shit about long term nitric oxide boosting, and as a result I'm not gonna say anything other than look at some peer reviewed scientific studies to find stuff that'll help you out
thats fine. Im not pretending to know either.
Im just thinking if you help your body produce it systematically. Theoretically, you wouldn't need to boost NO as often
why does this funny lil guy stab me when I play static 😔
is that on the front or back?
does it feel like nerve shocks?
Yo, anyone had pain in right side upper trap, neck and especially front shoulder, bicep and both elbow sides?
Mouse hand
I think its a nerve/scapula issue maybe?

Is sleeping 7hrs 30 min a day okay as a 15 yo? I wanna sleep 8 but i am a very busy guy so usually 7-7.5 hrs..
-
anyone have advice to cmc joint pain? Or maybe pain isn't the right word, discomfort. It doesn't directly hurt but feels a bit weird while aim training for longer than about 2 hrs or so. Are stretches useful or should I do smth else?
Thanks
how do i combat sweaty hands lol
- make your room colder
- see a dermatologist and have a procedure done to remove the sweat glands from your palms
What do you call it when you have negative thoughts even when you do something good like if I beat someone in a game my head says they are just a bot or they are new or something like that
It's better than what 90% of other kids are doing, including me
Tru enough
cuz they are
jk all love no hate
Kill me
Is that an app?
iPhone just tracks my shit in the native Health app
Probably already has a bunch of into. I didn’t exactly set this up on my own
anyone here know what to do to help with cmc joint (thumb) "pain" (more like discomfort kinda. But still hurts a bit)
@arctic moat how does the event work? Is it a voice channel thing or discord live stream? I've never done one of these before so I'm just wondering what to expect before it starts later.
its a twitch/yt stream, but theres a voice channel for it for questions
https://youtu.be/x6qWBlXM7Cg Hey all! we are live chatting about nutrition and how you can optimize for training and competition!!
Come hang
In regards to caffeine, how often could you have it without receiving diminishing returns and reliance on it?
this is a tad personal, but for my seniors here what do you plan on doing after highschool?
cycle on and off of it
Yeah, but like how long are the cycles
that's essentially what I meant to ask
why not take caffeine at its recommended dosage so you can feel at ease ;D
tbh just check examine.com you can find out about all of that stuff there, take caffeine in its recommended dosage and devlopment of tolerance will be limited
i mean u always build some level of tolerance
ye that level just depends on how much you take habitually
my cycle is 4x a week since i workout that much with days off on wednesday and weekends
normal i guess
u probably need to spend like vaguely a week off to actually cycle off of caff
cuz it just desensitises specific adenosine receptors so u dont get the crazy stimmy feeling nearly as much
i mean its not like u dont get any benefits from consistent caffeine intake
but if you can time ur cycles to get good results its really cool
How much water is ideal to drink daily, i have a problem which affects me but i get like 2 glasses of water daily max, not even 0.3-0.4L
well im assuming u get fluids from something else since u cant survive with that little water lol
From the video yesterday a good rule of thumb is 1/2 body weight in Oz minimum
oz?
Ounces
Idk if the second one is accurate I think it is
Ehh doesn’t look like a bunch of data was captured so I guess you don’t exactly sleep with the phone beside your face
yeah i put it in another room
That’ll do it
Mine isn't accurate because it thinks I actually wake up and stay up after my alarm
Very vamp of you indeed
Keep it up if you can dude I’m sure it’s more healthy than my shit. You can definitely see the bags under my eyes
I took sleep aid at like 9:30pm last night, went to sleep at 11:30 and slept until 8 through my alarm at 7
If I don’t take sleep aid, I fall asleep at like 2 and hit snooze or keep sleeping until 8. I can’t win lol
I like to workout then take a shower then just pass out
🧛♂️
how close do you guys have your monitor to your face?
I feel like my eyesight has become very sensitive to light these last few months and its really annoying me
like I can see clearly, but when I look at the blue sky (opposite diirection of the sun) I start to squint as if im looking at a very bright light
this was not normal for me until a few months ago
my left eye starts burning everytime in trying to aim train (start burrning almost 5 minutes in) and I have to close/squint my left eye which I feel is lessening my progress because I focus more on my eye than the actual target
turn on blue light filter
turn brightness down
make ambient lighting brighter
@limpid token
how do I turn on bluelight and change ambient lighting? @peak folio
maybe ur monitor supports it, and idk just make ur room brighter
yea I have all my room lights on and thte lowest brightness on my monitor
how far away r u from monitor
also turned on "EyeSaver" mode which helped a bit
about an arms distance and a few centimeters
like my room or my house ?
room
Do eye stretches and take frequent breaks.
eye stretches?
Yes, it wont fix vision problems but it should lessen the strain on your eyes which can help reduce twitching or the burning feeling. Its always a good idea to not play through pain though.
Why do my fingers feel so uncomfortable on my keyboard Like they feel like I have to crack them every 10 mins even when I’m typing now I feel like cracking them
Theoreticaly, can somebody play 5 hours of kvks a day without wrist injurys ? Are streches for a few minutes enough?
get some breaks inbetween for extra stretching and do some exercises to build endurance
not sure if grinding kovaaks that long is really worth it tho, the longer you go the less effective you gonna be
If you're doing 5 hours a day you're probably not training properly and doing yourself a disservice.
ive done like 3 hours a day with breaks w/ wrist stretches and havent had any discomfort so id assume if you take breaks you could
doing some hand rotations today and my wrist suddenly popped loudly and hurted a bit, should i be concerned?
Im glad that you read my question and still decided to write a response ignoring what i asked….
I dont play 5 hours, but i wanna know what the technical limit what u still can consider „healthy or non injury prone“
my aiming arm hurts a truck ton when im warming up
any fixing?
Anyone ever wake up with a hangover and feel like you got some new wisdom
Not tryna clown for no reason
But every time I’ve had a hangover I wake up with some new motivation for my work and have random creative ideas
You're asking a very specific person to person question, so I simply said don't do 5 hours, even if you can physically.
well i asked if its possible without wrist injurys if u strech etc and not if i should or not... pls dont answer if u dont know (dont wanna come off as rude, maybe i worded myself wrong, but i just wanna know if its okey for a normaly healthy person to put that ammount of strain on his wrist)
From a physical standpoint its very possible, yes. My answer was to not do it though even if you can physically because anything more than 2 hours is complete over kill and inefficient.
thank you, yeah im not gonna train 5 hours, i was just curious what the limits could be. Thank you very much c: (5 hours kinda impossible cuz Irl lmao)
True
sorry if i came off as rude, got a bit too my head sorry brotha
where does this come from btw? with the deminishing returns after 2 hours, is there a paper writen on it?
ive heard it a bunch now
I'm not sure exactly where it comes from, but I know after 2 hours for anyone is almost impossible to truly focus and not auto pilot and your form will weaken. At that point you're just enforcing bad habits on yourself by going through the motions.
I'm noticing my upper arm (past elbow) feels like it gets "slow" rapidly into an aim training session and I feel I guess "soreness" in like the outer side of my arm between my bicep & tricep. Does anyone know what this might be?
how does your sitting/arm position look like while doing it
This is basically my neutral position
I have very minimal forearm contact with my desk/pad and sometimes none at all, with only back of palm planted on pad.
Basically right along that line I feel gets fatigued super fast
Like within 5 mins of aim training
if its actually soreness, it might be the brachialis muscle
which helps with the flexion of your forearm
im no expert, but since your forearms are floating, you might put extra load on them
Looking at pic of arm muscles that definitely sounds right
soreness relates to a lot of load on the muscle
if you work out hard, your muscles get sore
Ok and I often have my arm outstretched more than I would like as a symptom of my current setup. So I'm guessing that doing like low sens speed training constantly in that more outstretched hovering forearm position might be what's causing this then
Putting too much load on that muscle. Thanks this helped
sitting height looks good to me, you can either get another chair with armrests to put your forearms on
or train the muscles
Yup. Not a big fan of armrests tbh so gonna try training somehow
working out has a lot of health benefits
you dont need to go into body building, but training a few times a week is definetely a good thing to do
I train my brachialis when i go to the gym
its often underdeveloped as most bodybuilders focus on the visible part of the bicep/tris when training
but it can play a key role in helping you gain more mass and strength in your entire arm
Do you do certain lifts? I actually have a good weight setup at home so it would be very accessible to me but I don't use it.
yeah I mainly do the reverse curls
Its a nice way to end an arm workout.
you can do with dumbells as well
I've actually been getting more bicep gains and strength ever since applying them
Although it doesn't have those curves in the bar
Ok cool
it can fuck up your wrists
so just keep that in mind
if you have ez bar, its easier on your wrists
I see, definitely won't be starting out with substantial amount of weight but will be careful
Is it normal to "feel" the forearm and wrist? Since I started doing kovaaks and learned how to aim I started feeling my wrist and forearm more often.
It isn't painful nor harsh, but it is a feeling of "tireness" and "used". How normal is it? should I be worried?
when you do aimtraining, its a physical task to a certain extend. if you do a physical task for a while, you gonna get tired muscles. so its normal.
same things as in working out apply here. doing according exercises will help with endurance, stretches to counteract the shortening of muscles
anyone know how to improve physical endurance?
i get extremely tired after 2-3 hours of playing
I'm assuming you mean 2-3 hours of gaming right?
Do you stretch, exercise, or workout?
i stretch every hour or so and regularly go on walks around my neighborhood
30-60 min typically
i don’t go to the gym
My ranked queue just popped, I'll be back and continue helping after
oopsy
Does your neck hurt also, or not at all?
neck is fine usually
i think i have bad posture but idk how to improve it
@ me whenever you’re back
This is a complicated topic.
When we aim train for extended periods of time, our back, shoulders and forearms see a lot of use. Your arms are stabilizing your mouse, and your back is supporting your upper body. Prolonged usage of any muscle will result in soreness and fatigue. "Perfect" posture does not prevent back pain, the same way perfect aim technique does not prevent arm/shoulder fatigue.
I would encourage you to, instead of forcing your body into any one position while sitting, try alternating your sitting position every 15-20 minutes.
As far as endurance training goes, you could start lifting weights and performing cardio, preferably with a higher intensity than walking, but... Imo, even trained athletes would experience fatigue after 2-3 hours of performing the same movements with little to no downtime.
It is worth adding that while static stretching helps relieve soreness after training, it increases risk of injury and fatigue if performed before or during training.
@strange dew
That might not be the answer you're looking for, but... I hope it helps. lol
That does help a little bit, but I still don’t understand how it’s possible for people to play for like 8-12 hours consistently and play well the whole time
the first person I can think of is tarik, he streams valorant every day for like 12 hours and is perma radiant/top 10
i play overwatch and it’s probably more physically demanding but still
You're experiencing substantial pain during standard gameplay instead of aim training?
it’s not pain, more fatigue
Hm. There's no harm in incorporating an exercise routine into your week to see if it makes a difference.
but that's a whole thing in and of itself
lol
I wouldn't compare yourself to a CSGO professional, they've probably had tons of hours building everything and most esports teams have dedicated trainers to help them even more.
i don’t think him being pro matters at all
i have played video games consistently every day for the past like
8 years
and i can only last for 3 hours before i get tired
ah fatigue
You probably need too drink more water while playing games then
also depends on what you eat before as well
I drink a ton of water
your body needs fuel to power itself and the better fuel you give it, the more it can utilize it's potential
i eat pretty well as well
define pretty well
i eat healthy
example
chicken rice broccoli everyday
not a lot of junk food
i think i eat later in the day tho
so i don’t have the energy before playing maybe?
That meal could be better tbh
not terrible but if that's all you eat it's not really enough
It could, but... If you don't eat before a session, you are going to have lower physical endurance and energy levels than you would having eaten.
This is true for exercising as well.
it’s jot literally all i eat lol just something i eat often
so you could try eating breakfast or whatever first and seeing if that makes a difference
your sleep schedule could also be a factor
depending on how consistently you're sleeping
you need more than just broccoli, ideally eating fruits. Also if it's white rice it's not nearly as beneficial as brown rice.
Yeah, im assuming it's not something you'd eat EVERYDAY, that'd get old pretty quick. It's just my take on the individual meal.
I'm guessing you drink water with your meals?
Also when I mentioned Tarik being a pro, it was more about their availability to resources like dietitians, physical trainers, etc, that can help them play for longer.
any smokers here? maybe it's just placebo but I feel x2 times focused after cig and tend to beat my pb's
no it won't fuck up your wrists lol wtf
unless you're a grandma
@slender cedar smoking cigs give a little bit of an anti-depressant which helps you focus temporarily
The side effects are not worth but I'm not going to beat a dead horse here
hi i am pretty new to aimtrainers and i want to know why many peaple start with higher sens or lower sens. because many peaple say that they start aimtraining/warming up with higher or lower sens
and i really want to get better aim in krunker bur people say that i need to start warming up/aimtraining with higher sens or lower or i will fuck my hand up
If you do it stupid it I will haha
What do you mean 🤣🤣🤣
Oh I see. I thought you were talking about the curls themselves
I guess for me the ez bar feels better on my wrists
But I’ve done both
Could be placebo honestly
Any idea why my right ring finger/pinky finger hurt/feel sore as fuck after playing kovaaks for a bit?
playing with bad posture/wrist position maybe. do you do any stretches/exercises for wrist and forearm?
it can even be an issue in the shoulder area
I mean it might be because my hand is slightly tilted to the side, like i have my hand resting on the bone on the right side of my wrist
maybe do a picture of it in default position
you're probably gripping it to tight with those fingers
Ah, i noticed that I actually put my ring/pinky into the pad and slightly under the mouse for stopping power. Could that be what causes it? I only do it in static scenarios lol
