No try to keep it consistent
8/9 is optimal and a consistent schedule is important
anything is better than 2 though
how to get rid off hand sweat my aim feels off
and i after that i feel my skill got decrease
you can use antiperspirant for your hands or you can use a sleeve that has a thumb hole to cover your palm
thx!
For sarscov2 transmission, how effective would it be to collectively breathe in facing upwards and breathe out facing downwards?
Assuming there isn’t too much upward airflow, wouldn’t this reduce transmission by a lot?
any way i can get used to sleeping 6hrs? I dont feel sleepy or tired i feel normal but its hard for me to get out of bed
Your not gonna get up or feel like getting up if you have nothing to do
Try setting a task to do when you wake up
Like a shower or anything productive
@silent osprey is right, creatine timing is more based on saturation and can take several weeks to a month to top off. You may see benefits to aim training with taking it, but timing it before/after a particular session won't matter too much. I'm a huge fan of recommending it to gamers though because it has loads of cognitive benefits (@karmic parcel more information in my article - https://gamerdiet.gg/creatine/).
As far as speeding up saturation with loading protocols and spaced dosing goes - you are only shaving off a small amount of time from a few week to month process. Most people don't find it worth it, but if you want to you can certainly try to optimize it that way. I typically don't recommend it unless there is a big time crunch for whatever reason because they have an upcoming tournament or something.
i never said it doesnt help
i just dont think its something you should be worrying about unless youre in the top 1% or 0.1%, and even then, we dont see people like tenz or s1mple taking it as far as i know
It can do more then just help your aim
You're right that supplements really are the last thing you should be worrying about. You'll see a far better return on your time and efforts by getting things like your nutrition fundamentals, sleep, exercise, stress levels, social life, etc. handled first. Supplements only give you that last edge once the other prerequisite boxes are checked. But if it is, we have some convincing data (it's the second most widely researched supplement outside of caffeine) about creatine helping out a variety of cognitive performance metrics (as well as other stuff like physical performance measures, which can trickle back into brain enhancements if it gets you to exercise more/harder). As far as how much trash is out there currently in the supplement market, creatine is pretty awesome all things considered.
yeah i agree, you summed it up pretty well
how long does it take to set a sleep schedule, i got told its like 6 months but i find that hard to believe
I switched my break sleep schedule to my school one in 3 days
When I’m doing static dots and other flick exercises I notice I get a lot of tension in my forearm and bicep. Is this something that affects other people too? Curious what folks have done to prevent that kind of thing.
Can someone help explain why I lose focus in the sense that I just black out while aiming?
Anywhere, doesn't even matter if it's an aim trainer game
I see my target, track it and then it just stutters to a halt for me
How do you all not get fatigued everyday? Like these past few days I just wake up and feel tired and slow all day long.
stretch, workout, maintain good sleep @small ibex
i don't workout, but i walk, eat healthy, stretch, sleep well.
I mean yeah then maybe you're lacking physical activity / strength
but would that lead to fatigue randomly? like I haven't been consistently having this bad of fatigue for a while.
Low exercise and bad nutrition are pretty common causes
But if nothing in your life/lifestyle has changed at all and it persists it could be something else
yo which vitamins should I take to be a better gamer 😎
vitamin D
can get it free everyday
how long should i wait to play games after i do static stretching
@violet swan that won't make you a better gamer.
@terse willow unless you are stretching too hard you should be able to play right after. Just make sure to warm up your aim before playing
thought blueberries do sum shit
for like reaction time
there is like 1 test where kids were fed blueberry extract or something
realistically, just eat a good whole foods based diet and exercise regularly
unless uve satisfied that then looking at nootropic supplements is such a waste
This is kind of peripherally health related, but just curious if you guys have independent movement of your pinky? This seems to be mostly genetically determined. I do on my left hand but not my right and I wonder if it has any effect on aim. I noticed a lot of top aimers have independent pinky movement and it does feel like I can get in a position of better control on the mouse with my left hand than right (though of course the dexterity on my right hand is much better so I wouldn't switch).
Vote Green if you have independent finger movement and Red if not
can't do like the first pic... both pinky and ring finger curl at same time
In general, vitamins/minerals won't take you from 100% to 110%. However, if you are deficient in any particular one, correcting that deficiency will result in pretty quick restoration of lost performance (like going from say 70% back to 100%). The best way to know if you are deficient is to simply take advantage of your free annual physical and get lab work done to check. Playing the numbers game, there are quite a few vitamins and minerals most people are not getting enough of. The best solution is to simply work in as a MINIMUM 1 serving fruit + veg for every 1,000 kcal they are eating (so on a standard 2,000 kcal diet, eat a minimum of 2 fruit + 2 veg each day) - more won't hurt as far as maintaining peak health and performance. Supplemental MVI misses out on the myriad of other beneficial phytonutrients in whole foods. To make sure you aren't missing out on any particular nutrients , make sure you are also not eating the exact same ones day in and day out. Too many people fall into the broccoli + spinach trap and never eat any other veg. A good quick tip is to make sure you are eating multiple different colors within a week. Each color tends to be uniquely associated with a specific nutrient profile. So one day have greens, another day have blues, another reds, etc.
You also mentioned blueberries - they are pretty darn good. I hesitate to call anything a superfood, but they come close. Blue is a tough color to get in the diet in general, which is loaded with the underappreciated class of phytonutrients call anthrocyanins. Specific to brain performance though, we do have data in children that it can improve executive function and delayed memory performance. We don't have acute data in teens/young adults. In middle aged adults, we also have data that it ACUTELY enhances reaction time, episodic memory, and again executive function. Then we have tons of data that blueberries are awesome in older adults and clinical populations, but those don't really apply to us.
Alright, thanks for the much longer than deserved response.
The problem I don't want to run into is like idk I don't want to keep adding things to my diet to the point where I'm just eating a lot of calories lmao and I have trouble with like rotating out & in things in my diet because most of the time I don't have the mental energy to think about it that much.. Like if I tried to I'd just end up not eating that day lol.
My ring finger moves a tiny bit when I move my pinkie all the way down
Same but only on my left hand
Like yesterday I had beans, rice, sauce, peas, and broccoli for lunch and dinner (didnt have breakfast) I guess I could just swap out the vegetable but like idk I'd feel like having beans and rice for protein n grains every day would be the stagnant thing then and idk what I'd replace it with and at this point I just give up and make the same thing lol.. Also I had some blueberries and raspberries last night.
I just stress out if I think about it too much
I can do it with my right but struggle to do it fully with my left
luckily I'm right handed
Yeah the entire process can definitely be exhausting and challenging, you're not alone. Finding a couple staple meals that you can keep in your back pocket goes a long way. I like to start with just creating two menus that you like and rotating them (ABABAB or AAABBB, and some people also like to keep breakfast or snacks static - always having the same thing regardless of the actual menus). Once you have that down pat, you can slowly incorporate more meals as you get more confident and those existing ones are a habit. If you break it down like that - it becomes pretty simple:
A Breakfast - scrambled eggs w/ spinach and a piece of fruit
B Breakfast - yogurt w/ nuts and berries
A Lunch - turkey sandwich
B Lunch - chicken salad
A Dinner - rice/beans/avocado
B Dinner - egg fried rice w/ carrots/peas/green onions
A Snack - nuts
B Snack - fruit smoothie
That kind of thing (but inserting your own favorite foods that are also easy to make). It's no worries if it doesn't work out right away, because the great thing about nutrition is you can just sub out the problem foods for other alternatives on the next go around. Compared to other fields where if you goof on buying the wrong thing you're 100s or 1000s of dollars in the hole. Try to make it fun rather than a chore and actually find recipes you ENJOY eating, also always help.
If it's really exhausting and too much effort, then you can always look at meal preps as a solution, which are certainly cheaper than eating out and more nutritionally adequate, and only take a few minutes in the microwave. Or you can look at some hot/cold bars at grocery stores (like Whole Foods). Or just buy a rotisserie chicken and a bag of microwavable veg and call it a day, etc.
If you want some more specific stuff or you have some specific questions to you personally feel free to shoot me a message individually and happy to help out!
Meal replacement products can work if you have an otherwise pretty poor diet and are using it in lieu of the bad food you would be eating. Or if you otherwise wouldn't be eating and this is just a way to get SOMETHING in that is not half-bad due to like a time crunch situation. Your question shows some maturity - we have pretty clear data that products like this and Soylent, etc. can't really be used to cover 100% of our nutrition. In the hospital, when we work with people who can't eat and are on TPN (nutrients injected straight into your veins), they quickly deteriorate. The primary goal is to get them back to whole foods ASAP and that will help them recover better and prevent the serious complications that arise from extended TPN use.
Generally, you can make a nutritionally superior meal replacement beverage by just throwing a bunch of stuff in a blender. Typically, these meal replacement products are made by mixing pure glucose in the form of something like a flour or maltodextrin, with a protein powder, with some form of oil, and adding a multivitamin on top. It misses out on the extra goodies that come from whole foods. If this were the answer, then I could just eat candy bars, protein powder, oil, and pop a multivitamin and represent the epitome of health, which just doesn't work. So to get back to your question - add in some whole plants which will cover your fiber and phytonutrient consumption. That would be the bare minimum. A better beverage is just protein powder + nut butter + frozen fruits and veg thrown in a blender.
The over reliance on liquid calories like this will also have the tendency to cause dental issues and gut issues. You can chew some gum if your teeth are missing the chewing sensation. And you can look to include some probiotic/prebiotic heavy foods for your friendly gut bugs.
fwiw roast veg is like the stupid easiest way of getting a ton of vegetables into ur diet
one of the laziest meals u can make and its so good
just dont overcook em and ur g
Seconded. Could literally eat a whole bowl of roasted broccoli. Just throw in the oven with some olive oil drizzled and seasonings of choice.
You should be able to train that to some extent I think
Is it normal for me to find it harder to focus on like text on a board compared to like leaves on a tree, even if those leaves a good bit further away?
so i've been doing hand stretches recently, and i noticed that it hurt
not a lot, just that it hurts when i start stretching the first time in the morning
and after a really long gaming session it also hurts when i stretch
So sorry if this is frequently asked but does anyone know some good shoulder stretches? I sometimes get some tightness while aiming and it throws me off a lot
Especially when vertically aiming
I've been doing Ws (your arms draw a W and you try to push them back & downwards) plus wrist extensor stretches recently - no idea if that makes sense but I think that's helped me
this is a good place to start for general mobillity and basic conditioning targeting alot of the impairments we see with prolonged sitting and gaming
This video can help with anyone who has shoulder pain with gaming or even neck pain. It helps to address some mid-back mobility and work on key muscles at the shoulder allowing us to maintain better overall shoulder positioning and relieve any pain associated with arm aiming.
0:51 ROUTINE STARTS HERE

Warm-up routine for the wrist / hand, full body. Cooldown stretching routine and a regular wrist / hand conditioning routine etc.
how can i fix my grip so that i stay more agile, flexible and accurate?
I have hard time trying to find proper chair height not sure are there any proper calculators or something to get it right
just went back to aim training a few days ago, and my mouse hand hurts. should I take a full break for a few days or do very light training for a while just to get my muscle back in shape? now that I checked the pins, I'm doing the gmb wrists exercice, and my wrists are feeling better. I had no trouble playing today, just when I began doing today's aim routine, they started to hurt.
Been having alot of posture consistancy problems since i started playing valorant , my performance is fully dependant on my posture and how i sit , i take alot of time to find a comfortable sitting position , then when i get up i have to start all over again , any ideas what i can change or do to help me fix this ? ( this pic shows how i sit )
your desk seems to be too high for you, your shoulders definitively aren't in a neutral position. Try getting to achieve this posture: https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/664134326581067816/664490788188586043/vaheomhy3es31.png?width=915&height=559.
Also, you can try getting a TKL/60% keyboard so it doesn't get on the way of your mouse pad and you can keep your arms more straight.
Is 3.6L of water a day bad? I don't know why but I tend to get a little nervous for some reason from time to time idrk why. But drinking water helps me stay calm
Also I only get like 25g intake of caffeine per day
i doubt too much water is bad
maybe you might put on a little weight
Well I am really skinny, I do need that weight and eat a lot more I'm just too picky
need god week routine including breaks. I use dumbbells, push ups, situps, thats it
ty
you should drink around 0.05L of water per kg. More than that is not bad, only if you get past 10L+
Dont remember where I read this... but human can like use 0.8 liters of water per hour. so I don't think 3.6l a day is that bad. It also depends if you exercise and so on
then again if you drink 3.6 liter in one go.. You might drown yourself
That's a bit on the high side if you aren't sweating a lot, but it shouldn't be a problem if you aren't experiencing any symptoms. There is a potential issue of diluting your blood too much called hyponatremia which you would notice things like nausea, headache, fatigue, etc. Ideally, your urine should be a light pale yellow and not be coming out crystal clear / looking like water. A quick rule of thumb would be half your weight (in lbs.) in fluid ounces to drink per day (so a 150 lb. person would shoot to have 75 oz. or 2.2 L) as a minimum and then you add in sweat losses from exercise.
Can you clarify your caffeine intake? We usually measure caffeine in mg. 25mg would be like a cup of light tea or 1/2 cup regular tea or like 1/4 cup of coffee. 25g would be lethal - 10g is usually considered overdose.
uhhhhh that's maybe the problem with you getting nervous yea
Should probably add some electrolytes at least. Water will take minerals with it on the way out.
Oh yeah I mwant mg
Oh aightt
My urine is usually really light pale yellow/crystal clear
tyty everyone
Also how do I know if I'm taking in too much caffeine?
For a person of regular body weight, 400mg of caffeine in one day is where you should cut it off. But like 25mg from a soda or something isn't much in the grand scheme of things
anyone have any ideas to fix extreme cold hands when gaming? i know what causes it and fixing it at the source isn't really an option but i wanted to know some ideas to warm my hands up while playing
run your hands under warm water for like a minute while washing your hands
Rub your hands together
depends on weight and sex
3 liters can be too much for some people
if you drink too much water, your kidneys can't get rid of the excess water and the sodium in your blood becomes diluted
is it bad for me to tense up my wrist while i play
If anyone has an adjustable chair, do they set their chair at vertical 90 degrees or a click or so back? I find that I have a bad habit of leaning forward, even when my monitor isn't that far away (and it's 27 inch lol)
Alright thanks
Okay got it ty
Not sure if this helps, but I wake up and right away chug a litre of water. An hour later I'm at work I have a small cup of coffee from keurig which is watered down imo, I drink some more water and then 2 hours later on break have another coffee. I drink water after that approximately 2 more litres till I get home eat and go for a nap {work nights}. I wake up and I have one litre of green tea with honey and cardimon and it's made light not very strong at all. I drink that while I aim train and play games for a bit then drink some more water and take vitamins eat and off to bed. If I exercise. I do drink more. The key part I noticed with caffeine is to drink lots of water to replenish the body and remove the caffeine I guess through peeing. Hope this helps.
My brother was drinking too much water everyday (i'd say about 4 litres) and he suffered from overhydration; Headaches, nausea, general sickness etc. Drinking water is plenty fine, but as with everything, there is a limit.
when i stretch, usually in my right hand, mostly index and middle finger
Idk if this applies to your hand pain, but I've been having lots of pain in my right arm and shoulder when playing and active therapy helps 1000x more than stretching
Really stretching is not good if its tendinopathy, progressive strengthening is much better
whats the difference?
Between stretching and strengthening?
yea
Stretching makes tendinopsthy worst cuz it compresses the tendon/muscle
You would have to know if its tendonitis or tendinopathy first
You'd know if you had too much caffeine - you'd get jitters/anxious pretty soon after. If you are only having 25mg, there's nothing to really worry about, that is a pretty small amount. If you are getting caffeine symptoms from that, it could be you are a hyper-responder. For cognitive benefits on a single task, 200-300mg is the high side of what you'd need. If you are looking to sustain your cognitive performance and alertness throughout the day, then actually splitting that up into 50mg increments every 4-5 hours or so has been shown to be superior. In either case, caffeine use for performance enhancement needs to be used STRATEGICALLY (like only on key days, training sessions, competitions, etc.). If you are blasting your body with caffeine every day, your body quickly becomes desensitized to the effects and you will no longer see performance enhancements. All you are doing at that point is staving off the effects of withdrawal, rather than taking yourself above 100%. This is a big issue in the literature, they frequently don't distinguish between habitual users or not, and don't standardize when the last dose was taken before the study.
Everything I said applies to isolated caffeine and cognitive performance. I would like to distinguish this with overall health, where tea/coffee (both unsweetened with nothing added) have been shown to come with numerous health benefits and nifty things like life extension. This can be somewhat of a tradeoff because you may want to drink lots of coffee/tea every day for health, but you will still become desensitized to the caffeine component and then won't be able to use it acutely before a competition. So you need to pick what's important to you. A nice alternative is drinking mostly decaf versions and then caffeinated versions for the ergogenic stuff.
I've been dealing with RSI off and on a lot, it doesnt seem to be playtime related. I'm considering to just casual out and play a super fast sens so I physically don't need to make any big movements anymore. Wonder if anyone has tried this
I'm talking 5cm / 360
wrist exercises and stretches? any links?
yeah exactly
my back becomes super tense when i sit down
but only when i sit down to play games
- sitting up straight makes the middle of my stomach feel like its collapsing over itself
doesn't happen in wood chairs
the mid-back of my back has a sharp pain
i'm 17
Okay I got it. Thanks!
when i first get on and sit down im super loose and have very good control over my mouse and movement but my shoulders and back start to scrunch up terribly and my aim becomes frantic + worse
Since i have been playing with my keyboard and mouse rather wide apart i suppose, it has done its damage on my shoulder because last night i could barely sleep since my shoulder was killin me. This is my setup now, how can i make less taxing on my shoulder, btw im like 23 so i guess unlucky lol
Mouse cord is taped to back of monitor also
strengthening is the hand exercises correct?
idk much abt arm health
wouldnt hurt to visit a physiotherapist and evaluate your posture, like is your table too high etc
take a picture of yourself sitting
i would recommend a keypad since it looks like you need space, lots of people rotate their keyboards but that isnt that good either
Hello everyone, first sorry for my bad english
when i play competitive games i play fps mainly like CSGO,valorant, when encountering enemies and counter strafing, my left hand (keypad hand) shakes when encountering enemies, my right hand also trembled and there were spray errors but my left hand was shaking a lot, I can control my right hand a bit
I think it's my mentality, but sometimes in my head I always think I'm not afraid of the enemy, I always encourage myself to be confident but my left hand automatically shakes when I meet an enemy, I can't counter strafing the right way to dodge bullets, i often lose in pistol round, where the enemy jumps in my face in chaos, i have had it for about 2-3 years, i play fps game 2-3 games a day, but no improve
I hope to find a solution, I don't know if I should go to the doctor
neck pains started appearing
i stretched for a while and it disappeared
its a, sharp pain?
on my right side
had this recently. It was so painful that I actually had to hold my head with both of my hands to even get up from bed. Was just eating painkillers for 1 a week. Took 2 weeks for the pain to be completely gone. Even when it was sore I was trying to move my head to the sides gently to stretch a bit
hard to say what the cause is, could be improper posture (forward head, shoulders raised unnecessarily high due to too high table etc) sleeping on a pillow that is too low or too high and other factors
looking at your discord bio have you ever tried to actually fix these issues?
losing grip strength sounds nerve related and at that point you need to start being serious, go to a physio and get your stuff together
how bad is sleeping 5hrs
once or twice a week shouldnt be problem, but if you avarage 5h per night thats probably not enough
pain im gonna have to die
its cause of work and school ive been missing alot of it cause i overlseep 7hrs
i dont think a period of less sleep is detrimental to you, but you probably wanna try to sort it out slowly, its quite hard to change your sleep habits all in one go
ah kk thanks ye its a delicate balance of not missing work or missing the bus for school at 5am
ive been missing work lol
but ye gotta try to get my body used to it
this is weird but
i feel like my right pinky and ring finger feels
irritative?
like slight burning but itch as well?
kind of cold as well?
idk how to describe it
slight sting, there you go
sounds like an issue related to your ulnar nerve
hm... what should i do?
did you read my earlier message?
have you evaluated how you sleep, posture on pc?
have you gone to a physiotherapist?
no not really, my sleep schedule
no i mean your sleeping position
like its not gonna get better if you keep going like this, only worse
some people will never change until they get a good scare
nerve damage or something
what's a good sleeping posture then?
im not an expert so i cant say but you can figure it out by googling most likely, since you said you had neck issues i was thinking that you might be sleeping in a way where your neck is not properly supported/aligned with your body
or its a posture issue when you are playing games
i recently stopped playing games post hand pain and i think it is a posture issue
i play with a bent wrist
take a picture of yourself in your playing position and post it here
and i put pressure on my pinky to be more accurate
And when i flick i use my wrist, but when im tracking
Should i stop playing entirely for a while?
yes until you can figure out an ergonomic setup
I alr have classes to catch up on and i cant risk hurting my hand more
you might need a new chair/desk
if you say you cant afford it tell me can you afford permanent damage for the rest of your life
Thanks a bunch man, i'll take ur advice and try and find stuff to fix posture
np really take care of yourself and try to invest a bit to get this fixed, pins has some useful stuff too
games wont disappear
yo guys i'm just gonna leave a comment I made on a topic about limiting playtime
Okay so let me just make a counterpoint: you can make your own downtime. You don't need to brake records every day. You don't need to play against the clock like most people in this sub do.
I literally only go freeplay only on a couple of scenarios and use that as a form to practice breathing, eye focus and mouse grip/control. People who try so hard to break records instead of getting used to a scenario before trying to go for challenge mode are fucking crazy. It's just so counter productive. My idea is that people should only benchmark like once a week, and still I see so many people stuck in a voltaic ranks for weeks/months just because they put unnecessary pressure on themselves.
Still, limiting your playtime is crucial not to develop any serious injuries like you said, but you can still push for 2 hours a day if you simply take breaks in between sessions. Practice like 30 min in the morning, take 2 hours, more 30 min, take a break to eat, exercise w.e, more 30 minutes... But just don't put yourself against a timer for no reason, it will make you tense up and get an injury for nothing.
Edit: and when I say 30 min, I don't mean like 30 min straight. I usually do 10 min centering, take a lil brake, 10 min of target switch, brake, then do 10 of 1wall6targ or w.e. I don't feel any pain whatsoever because I'm not feeling pressured. If I make a mistake, I take the time to fix what I think I'm doing wrong. If I tense up, I let go of the mouse and try to relax, then go at it again. That's it I hope I'm not talking too much bs.

Hey guys, I've asked for some advice about preventing my wrist from tensing up. But now the real issue is the feel of control I usually got by tensing up. So when my arm is relaxed, it's actually harder for me to aim, and I don't feel in control of my mouse whatsoever. Does it go away with practice or I there's no hope?
If it hurts, stop. Don't risk long-term damage for short term gains. You may have to grind back a little bit of your level, but it's worthwhile if the alternative is being forced to take a truly long break because of actual damage
You can get used to anything tbh
Thank you. As a matter of fact, I’ve just tried changing my gripping style and it helped get the tension off my wrist and I finally felt the control over my mouse. Gonna grind till I get used to a new gripping style if it doesn’t hurt me in process
I’m getting tendinitis really bad from work. Any way to stop it? Can’t take a break because it’s my job
You could get medicine for that @real galleon
Interesting. I’ve never heard of medicine for tendinitis
hello guys this part hurts me, any treatment or links? dont know what should i type in google.
is this extensor digitorum?
when responding please tag me 😄 im already searching youtube videos
@real galleon stretches and try to rest it as much as possible
You can watch 1HP videos on stretches
is it weird i cant ftip anymore? idk i just cant grip the mouse like my fingers feel stiff when i use ftip now
this is a good read https://stevenlow.org/overcoming-tendonitis/ i havent heard of any medicine the other guy is talking about though
Update: My book on Overcoming Tendonitis: A Systematic Approach to the Evidence-Based Treatment of Tendinopathy is released! Tendonitis is one of the most pesky injuries that can plague an athletes career, which can derail both practice and performance. This article seeks to explore the mechanisms of tendonitis and how to
ty
though before you commit to fixing it maybe visit a physiotherapist or something to get a correct diagnosis/help
I'm wondering if binding fire to my keyboard hand could reduce strain on the mouse hand. Anyone has experiencr with this?
Im using it on some TS maps, bcs after few weeks break i cant really play them normally(my wrist is dead after 30 sec) But im still doing few runs normally to return.
Overthinking it @sacred hamlet unless u have some type of finger issues that are causing u pain with the hand u put ur mouse on.
Every time I play Air Voltaic my eyes get tired and sometimes unfocus
I might just hop on it the next time I can't sleep lmao
my wrist and forearm on my thumb side get tired really fast after like 2-3 hours of playing doesnt seem to matter what mouse or mousepad I use and I play on 42.6cm overwatch
only 16 btw so its not like im a 40 yr old man
mine is similar
Stretching etc should help, if ur new to aim training though u might need time to adjust to the movement as welll!
2-3 hours straight? or are you taking breaks
i have no motivation to get on kovaaks, but when i do get on i can play for hours
how do i make myself go "right get on"
straight
then thats expected.. take breaks
even more so if you tense your mouse hand/keyboard hand while playing
you have to stop playing games
I have the same problem just as you, I don't wanna play kvk but when I do I play for hours
the problem I see is that games are in my way
that's one
and how I try to make me play kvk is to place myself in the worst position and say to myself you will lose if you won't train for shit like that and I die because I whiff with my aim/mechanics
but I would say the most good way to actually train is to try starting kvk every morning and play it for 10 minutes or however you want just don't push yourself and then go on a game warmup there if possible or just go play it straight up
but don't make a routine from that
just play it whenever you fell like it or not
thanks sm bro :)) @fading pier
np, I try my best to help
Ah one more thing, so for example I found a problem with my aim like my flicks are getting inconsistent and stuff
I would recommend going playing kovaak for a month doing flicks and stuff
Because one day it's good, the other day it's bad
so yeah
xd
yhyh :)
U can consider kovaaks ur main game for a while, or just yeah consider it like a game. I used to hate training but now it has become a game to me so I just have fun on kovaaks while improving. Listen to some music, get a nice UI and nice sounds, a crosshair you like, and focus really hard on your wrist and arm movement while also focusing on targets, u will get in the flow. Also ask yourself questions on how to improve, participate in the community here. Every little thing helps to actually enjoy kovaaks
This 💯

True
ummm... this may not be so much in relation with aiming but my back (especially lower) hurts when lying down. I think i have a fairly good posture when gaming. It hurts even more when I lay flat on the ground. I thought maybe i have weak core but I when I do core training it hurts even more. Any tips?
U can do some stretching everyday for 5 minutes, and when i say stretching it's like cat/cow position, pelvic tilt, prone back extension. It will help for lower back pain. Also, training your core is useful but it wont really ease your pain instantly, after 1 month, u should see better results, because you will use your core instead of your back. Also if you sit behind your desk everyday all day u will have some back pain for sure, the only thing to do is add more sport and stretching to your day. also don't hesitate to go see a physiotherapist, u maybe have some articulations blocked. But yeah sport and stretching is the way, and also eat nicely 😉
thank you so much bro :)
@arctic moat i made up my mind
From now on I'm grinding heath

i really liked this approach tho
feel like it has helped me
1HP and me personally advice against Melatonin, it's bad to rely on a supplement to be able to sleep. It's a bandaid and absolutely not a fix.
What w0lf posted is pretty solid
It all comes down to discipline, determine a time you should go to bed and stick to it. Wake up during a reasonable time, get daylight (actually step outside) and if you do that consistently, you'll automatically feel tired when you're supposed to sleep.
Do the same for your eating habits, eat at reasonable times and not during the night. In fact, it's usually good to immediately start fasting when fixing your schedule, so you wake up hungry in the morning.
Alright
My irl friends usually tell me about melatonin, why I recommended it
But I can see where ur coming from
Also avoid all nighters, instead just go to bed when tired, but force wake yourself up at a reasonable time.
👍
A lot of people recommend Melatonin, doesn't mean it's actually advisable unless prescribed by an actual doctor
Yeh true, my sleeping schedule personally has been great though
Very on schedule
Almost asleep and awake same time every day
Mine deviates a little, but it's quite on schedule otherwise
Besides that, hope you been doing better & your mental health is going up
@arctic moat
Appreciate that dcv, same to you

Is there a point where smoking too much weed is like “bad” for you
😐
how close r u to radiant
and what r ur voltaic benchmark ranks as an immortal gamer?
ye
My friend made a twitlonger about how it was a really big problem for him
I don't know much about weed tho so that's all I'll say
Trying something new I read about, that's suppose to increase overall health and the feeling of being awake.
I'm now eating proper food instead of frozen pizza with lots of sugar and I'm sleeping 8 hours instead of 5-6 hours.
Will update in a few weeks time if this is a hoax or actually helpful.
I'd be more concerned about the fact ur inhaling carcinogens, than the drug itself
I mean you can obviously have dependency and addiction, but you'd probably know if you're asking that question anyway
Just don't let it get in the road of a productive and fulfilling life
I'd say try and avoid it if you're interested in life longevity fwiw, but it's not super high up on the list unless you're already eating well and exercising regularly
@limber adder i cant see ur roles
jade
i was immortal before i was plat in vt tho
u should submit ur scores so u get the jade role
why
no that is why
i dont wanna go through the process
of submitting stuff
my standards are too warped by knowing so many people that are a lot better

my arm is so worn out i rested it for like 2 days and my control is so bad and after like 30 min of playing my arm became fatigued again fuckin hell
for wrist stiffness, is it better to do the 9minute wrist warrior and forearm/wrist dumbbell exercises. or is it better to do one or the other?
Having a ton of pain in my forearm and bicep area when playing stuff that requires me to track with my whole arm is there a way i can fix this ? Any suggestions are appreciated
Dr levy has great videos for gamers

ok
Well in some cases with excessive weed smonkers theres something called Cannabis Hyperemesis Syndrome
and it can mess with brain development
I've been smoking constantly for 10 months now without more than a 4 day breaks and I notice my memory isnt like it used to be and I have almost no appetite if im not high
I'd say the more noticeable negatives will show more as I get older too
Oh and for context I'm 18 and started smoking in early 17's
I'm looking for some direction. Currently I am able to aim train and play games for about 3 hours. In between I try to do some stretches and exercises. But eventually my hand feels tired and exhausted and I'm unable to grip my mouse. What do I need to do to be able to prolong my grip?
any doctor available now?? i have inflamed wound
Probably better visiting/calling a local doctor
Can KovaaK's be used to train eyesight?
If by "train eyesight" you mean better hand-eye coordination, then yes
Don’t smoke too much weed pre-age 25
Is there a specific reason for this? Asking for a friend
Don’t remember source, so take this with a grain of salt
Adults brains stop developing around 21-25, and weed stuns the development of the frontal cortex
So to be safe 25 is a good age, I think some dispensaries in canada have a age 25 limit
I love cooking my brain with weed 😍
Yeah i think i have that too lol
Do i need to do all the routines in this guide?
just wanna do the ones that are necessary
my arm has major fatigue is the only solution to rest it or is there any other treatments because 30 seconds into a session and my arm is already worn out.
could my aim be shaky and wrist aim be poor cause im extremely skinny with very little muscle?
Why are my hands hurting? I don't notice it when I'm using the mouse but it hurts when I'm stretching could it be because I played Volleyball yesterday?
Hydration? Depression? Diet? Sleep apnea?
Go see a doctor if it's serious
Technique: Are you over tensing, and hence using too much energy over time?
Body: Is it just the arm? If it is similar any part of the body, then might be worth a proper check with a doctor.
Otherwise, strengthening exercises!
yes i tense alot and no its just the arm
ive put ice on the elbow forearm and wrist and im resting it right now
Very similar to Scythe's question.
Technique: Are you over tensing, and hence using too much energy over time?
Body: Work on endurance/strengthening exercises to develop better control (and endurance) of the hand/wrist
Don't need a thicc hand, but the muscles need to have the endurance
If it is not painful you don't have to ice it. Work on a more relaxed grip (on a easier game mode/level first)
Could be due to other activity. Muscles/tendons can have pain signals when on stretch.
Muscles can be tight after activity especially if new level, or too much. Muscles will adapt to be stronger if it isn't overload though

Wrist pain is by far the MOST common complaint I get when I work with pros and gamers. And the first thing they often encounter online are resources telling them to rest, brace, just do stretches! thank u very much kind sir
my arm and mainly my wrist and thumb get fatigued pretty fast even after doing stretches and stuff
Is there anything I can do to get rid of a crackling (?) wrist? I've had it for as long as I can remember and I've noticed it severly impacts my ability to track. With Smoothbot for example, I have no problems whatsoever staying on target, but my wrist seems to not want to go smooth and it'll make my crosshair jitter in front and behind the target sometimes. I've done the wrist stretching exercises but it's still there.
I can at all times make it crackle/pop when I rotate it. It doesnt hurt though.
Im currently in peak performance with my mouse hand peaking in everything feels great, but somehow my left hand (keyboard hand) middle finger is shaking like crazy, 17yo never had it before not tensing up with any hand was prob. just overdosing on coffee
The base of my thumb hurts when i crack my fingers as well as when i bend my hand down wards should i be worried?
Man
Running is so aids
My Shin started hurting after like 1.5km
2 maybe
And then i walked the rest so i don't get injured
@invica
What the fuck
How long does hand tendon regeneration take?
breaks @trim belfry
Blink more
Also don't play in a dark room
And possibly adjust wall color or monitor brightness
Ambient brightness up, monitor brightness down, maybe look into seeing if less contrasty color schemes could help you as well
kovaaks sucks at this because youre kinda just always looking at one spot, and youre always looking at the same flat colour, or two colours if the scen has a skybox
would be cool if there were whole like scenery things going on
build ur own zoo enclosure to shoot air bots
can't you edit the walls and floors tho to a jpg?
no
been feeling alot of shoulder stiffness lately and been affecting my performance and muscle memory , is there any specific workouts i can do to fix this ?
fingers feel sored clicking in tile frenzy ? what i do for this
what should our posture be when sitting down?
dont play tile frenzy lol

idk what happened but after 3 days of not playing val my thumb and pointer finger begins to cramp frequently. It doesnt hurt much but it appears often
Never understood how people can take 5 min nap if 20-30min time i need to lie in bed to go sleep in a day.
Always do hand exercises 👍
Adjusted desk height a bit to test stuff while recovering from tennis elbow and it is not the play edge of desk digging into forearm suuuucks
I hear average desk height at tournies is like 75 cm or 30 inches and how I’m like 6’2” and that hurts
I need help I ate and choked now my chest hurts all day long already It hurts taking deep breaths and especially eating
Does improvement truly happen during sleep?
no doubt about it, applies to pretty much any skill that the body is forced to grow, mentally or physically, take for example going to the gym and building muscle, in an oversimplified version, you go to the gym and tear your muscle fibers through lifting, you eat protein to give your body the tools to repair those muscle fibers, then you sleep which is where the process of actually rebuilding those fibers stronger and better actually occurs, if any variables from this formula is missing you will have problems, same idea with aim training
Tips on falling asleep anyone? Can't remember a time I've easily done it always hours of staring at the ceiling
Yes, good sleep is incredibly underrated
Yo I have pain in my left wrist where I circled after doing wrist flexion exercises, and it pops right there and u can see something move where I circled when I do wrist flexion exercises, does anyone have advice for what I should do? I’m not sure whether I should continue doing the exercises to try to strengthen it or if I should go see a doctor
had a friend with a similar issue, don't know what your experience is so i can only speak from personal but he had to get it surgically removed, was benign so there was no harm but nonetheless, i would go see a doctor before anything else
I've used these elbow bars to battle my tendonitis. Works wonders and especially when focusing on the eccentric part of the exercise slowly. I'll show a pic of them and a link to them if anyone needs them
i don't know if this is the right section to ask this. I was wondering: do cold hands affect your aiming performance? if yes, how to fix it? i always have very cold hands during winter gaming sessions
does aynone know why my hand hurts when i play kovaaks
its like that part below all my fingers
not my actual palm but like
between the center of my palm and where my fingers start if that makes sense
its only when im playing kovaaks its never in an actual game for some reason
this aprt
how do i tense less ;-;
oke ty
Don't care about your scores for now and only focus on not tensing
Should I do incline barbell or dumbbell bench press
Yes. Typically what I do is I'll just wash my hands with warm water but leave my hands in the water for a bit to just warm my hands.
So I got my finger hit with a ball while playing volleyball and now it hurts when I touch the upper joint , but its not swollen and I can move it. It hasnt gotten better for 2 days, anyone have an idea?
gonna try that
Might just be a sprain or bad hyperextension, bad sprains can take 2-3 weeks before they're back to normal
ye, its gotten a little better today, but will prolly take a while
If it doesn't get much better over the next 7-10 days then go get an xray, but it's probably just a sprain and you'll be fine
okay thanks!
Palm grip helps a lot
Also I feel like I tended because I was over estimating how much I need to grip my mouse
Sprain
You are probably fine
Tyy
How extreme is the curl in fingers
Like is it relaxed claw or really high up on the mouse
IDK
not sure, but I dont think so
basically none, I dont think there is any at all
its the joint closer to the nail
thats the healthy one^^
as for the pain, the finger doesnt hurt while doing nothing, when moving it, it also doesnt hurt anymore.
what hurts is touching the outer side of the joint, the inner one doesnt hurt
is it possible to use fingertip grip if i have a but shaky fingers (due to sport) ? although i have a problem with moving wrist to the right, is tenses up automatically. (i have some suspicious that it's because of my vertical pinky, but it looks like not)
whichever you get a greater stimulus from and with less discomfort/pain
does anyone know wrist excersizes to strengthen/build wrist muscle
pick heavy things up
Then put heavy thing down
My wrist starts hurting just 15 minutes after doing some of these routines but for other routines I played I went for 1 hr without it hurting
Is that like a sign that I'm improving, that the current training is harder or is that an issue with my wrist
its not a sign you are improving at all, are you playing too much with not enough recovery? if you have never aim trained before your wrists might not be conditioned enough for this type of stress
Ok
Stim free pre-workout is not enough for me
Haven't had a good workout all week
Maybe means I should actually stay on stim free for a month or so... Sadge
I've done other routines a lot before. Almost 1 1/2 -2 hrs
I have wrist problems. Whenever I move my wrist side to slide my wrist cracks and clicks. It doesn’t feel smooth when moving it.
Im trying to do some pushups but my wirst hurts a bit after a few days.
How can I avoid this? Is it spmething that gets better after a while? Is my positioning bad?
why dont you go and get a diagnosis from a doc/physio?
i would get low floor parallettes to keep your wrists in a neutral position during pushups
your form could be bad or your wrists just arent conditioned enough
is it ok if I keep doing it everyday?
keep doing until you experience wrist pain? no
lightweight vertical mice when
Can taking melatonin impact the quality of my sleep?
Yeah, it's got some common side effects
Because of my personal medical history I have difficulty sleeping without it. Melatonin is what your body is supposed to naturally produce when you sleep, in this light I would consider it closer to a vitamin than a drug. Not a medical professional by any means so grain-of-salt this to your hearts content.
what
there are a ton of vitamins that your body will never produce
either way in typically functioning people, taking exogenous melatonin is generally not a long term solution
your body will just produce less of it as a result
finding ways to increase melatonin production from inside the body makes a lot more sense
all the usual life choice stuff of screen time, meal timing, exercise etc
good nutrition, especially stuff like b vitamins, magnesium, DHA omega3
Melatonin can have some bad effects on drowsiness in the mornings, nightmares

According to my corrective exercise specialist coach, I have sufficient range of motion in my wrist, and satisfactory radial and ulnar deviation, yet when I'm aiming, especially tracking targets that change directions that require me to make small corrections, I tend to just have a moment where I completely spaz out and just flick way too far. I also have shaky aim when tracking such targets, and struggle to stay smooth and steady. What can I do to improve this?
guys i have tingling on my right arm but no numbness or pain
When is it tingling? If it only does it while it's on the desk then you might have your arm in such a position that you're sitting right on top of a vein and you're cutting blood flow
Probably smoothness and just staying relaxed and trying to not get overwhelmed by bots
nah even when im just doing nothing, but it happens more when i use my mouse yk playing n shit
theres no numbness or pain at all its major tingling
supposedly melatonin also makes the color of acne scars darker, so use in moderation if you have bad acne
im having problem with cold hands since fall started and its an issue and idk what to do since i have to sit either in really hot room or just have cold hands
Hand warmers
Walmart and target sells
Is your wrist/hand angled towards the right
does anyone elses wrist get shaky when their wrist is getting closer to the max range of motion? dm me to reply or ping me pls and thx
@uncut kernel dont have them in my country, any natural things i can do that can help?
no hand warmers? I have no idea then, I just know the US and most Asian countries have
early sign of nerve issues possibly (you even say it happens more when using your mouse so its very likely nerve related), how is your posture while gaming?
remember that arm tingling can originate from above the arm, from shoulder/neck area if your posture is poor
yup
of course
10 minute sprint
my posture is fine
take a picture
your whole body, like i said nerve issues can originate from neck/shoulder area and you will notice it in your hands
"my back is straight" says nothing if during gaming you have forward head/rounded shoulders for example
.
under the elbow all of it
sometimes tingling goes to the feet
right now my knee is tingling
and my arm
but the arm is consistent
okay that sounds really unfamiliar to me, both knee and arm tingling
elbow sounds like ulnar
i cant really take a pic i wrote down what it looks like
i would go to a physiotherapist tbh
my back is straight with shoulders a bit forward right arm is flat on the table with my wrist sometimes a bit tilted to the right my left arm is in a position where you hold a 90 degree angle keyboard and they are both around a 24 inches apart
ulnar what?
ulnar nerve
@gaunt thistle look up radial tunnel syndrome and cubital tunnel syndrome
ok thank you
i mean look them up and if it seems to match your symptoms go to a physiotherapist or actually try to fix the cause
tingling is not a dangerous sign but you dont want to get it worse
okay
It depends on your height, but whatever desk height allows your knees to bend at 90 degrees with your feet sitting on the floor and to have your back straight with a 90 degree bend in your elbows is considered to be a good starting place
Will 3-6 hours of sleep everyday effect me gaming wise ?
There's a lot of medical conditions that can cause shaking, and some anxiety-related conditions as well. Without knowing what's causing it, it's hard to say.
Your desk height should be about level with your belly button so that your arms can rest comfortably at your sides/on armrests
Yes, negatively. There's a lot of really solid research on the impact of sleep on performance, as well as lack of sleep on poorer performance and increased injury risk.
We've got some good resources here:

@surreal orbit thank you!
Welcome!
damn, it seems like i get a bit dizzy if i play Pasu and focus too much on the movement.
is that normal?
lmaoo took the advice and i already beat my high scores
tyyyy
Some folks can get a bit of vertigo from games. I can't play Fortnite for too long before I get dizzy, personally.
You can do vertigo accommodation/adaptation exercises to help with that
is it a really big issue if my monitor is less than an arms length away from where my head is? over the last few years my eye sight has become significantly worse towards being short sighted and im not sure how much the fact that i sit around 20inches away from my monitor is effecting that since my eyesight was seemingly fine before i started spending more hours on the screens. 😳 👉 👈
ok my circulation is so shit after 10 mins of gaming my hands are fucking FROZEN
and advice I hit the gym like 4 days a week but even so my hands still get REALLY damn cold while gaming
provide yourself with cpr
Anyone know why whenever I stand up too fast I l lose most of my fucking vision for a short time? Or should I just see a doctor
It's just blood pressure rapidly dropping for a second
It's pretty normal, no need to go see a doctor
👍 just pretty annoying having to battle to not fall over every time I stand up
Well if it's every time then you should probably review your diet/sugar intake and make sure you're not eating a strict diet of fucked up shit
It happens to me occasionally, but it shouldn't be regular
I have extremely minimal sugar
I hate sweet things
Well you gotta eat/drink something to help put some sugar into your body
it's not healthy to have low sugar
Even if it's just a gatorade or a cookie or something
I feel that would just be unhealthy to add onto that
You don't need a ton of sugar unless you have some condition
Even just a little 12oz gatorade that you sip on with a water
As long as you have something, it can be whatever you want
Yeah I have fruit
Sugar drinks just gonna ruin your teeth
Not sure sugar is the cause
What are some nice habits to do before going to bed for 30 minutes ? (cause I heard that you shouldn't look at any screens for 30 mins before sleeping)
Chew sugar free gum or brush your teeth
Problem solved
i used to get that issue pretty often
doubt its related to sugar intake, if anything the lower my carbohydrates the less ive ran into it
speak to a doc who can actually measure ur levels of whatever
What would sugar free gum do?
👍 think it's related to iron. And that would check since I have issues with iron
see a doc anyway, too much iron can be really dangerous
I have to little iron in my system
yeah but confirm it is what im saying
Which I am seeing a doc about atm so I think it's related
I'll bring it up
If it's genuinely from nerve damage, a neurologist is the right person to talk to about that
Great question for an optometrist! Do you bring that up with them when you go to your annual eye visit?
Generally, that's from something called orthostatic hypotension. It basically means your blood pressure can drop when you go to a more vertical position. Before standing up, try doing a few calf raises and seated marches to improve lower extremity circulation

Also if it happens literally every time, it's worth talking to a doctor about why your blood pressure is so low. One of the things that can often be is just low blood volume, which is partly addressed by increasing your overall fluid intake (water is best! unsweetened tea and electrolyte beverages like Nuun are also good. We have a whole hydration tier list if you want to see it).
It can also be more common if you've been sitting too long. Try fidgeting/changing position a little more often and see if that helps.
thank you!
I'll try that thanks 👍
It doesn't happen every time but more often than not. I tend to drink alot of water in the day.
Could also be electrolyte-related. Give Nuun a try, it's low sugar and a good flavor with some electrolytes
My shoulder and elbow feel fatigued after a short amount of playing, could this be a result of me lifting my arm? And how to fix?
thanks
Is it worse for my posture/ergonomics to have my elbows raised laterally, or to have my shoulders raised? I'm currently on a table that's a bit too tall for me and I can definitely feel some shoulder discomfort creeping in.
I kinda goofed and got a desk too tall for me lol
I of course wanna replace it with something better for me ergonomically but I just wanna know how to best live with it in the meantime
Anyone got advice for trying to fall asleep with a nasty cough?
@devout wedge glad you made it to sleep
So I've been feeling this tiny tingling sensation and weakness on right wrist is it carpal tunnel? or my wrist is just weak?
@fallen mortar idk how ur wrist can be weak
stop whatever is making it worse any further completely for now, go to a physiotherapist ideally to get a proper diagnosis
it sounds nerve related and weakness is not a good sign
so dont stress it any further
If you aren't supporting your forearm it could definitely contribute to your shoulder fatiguing faster. It could also be because your muscles don't have enough endurance to play for as long as you like. Try this routine out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoedUZ4OpPY&t=262s

Ideally your elbows are less than a palm width away from your sides. You can make your chair higher then use a foot rest so your feet still have something to rest on to meet your higher desk height
I'm going to preface this with saying this is not our area of expertise. You should go see your family doctor if the cough is really bugging you. If you want my opinion then it depends on if you are producing a lot of phlegm or not. If you are then elevating your torso higher can help with draining. If it is not producing a lot fo phlegm then drinking tea and other liquids before bed may help.
Go see your doctor
It depends on where the tingling is. Even if it is a nerve being compressed strengthening your wrist will help with the tingling too. Try this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoedUZ4OpPY

I guess I'll rest and use a brace probably a pinched nerve but its the 2nd time it happens and I only aim trained yesterday for like 5-10 min last time it happened when aim training too and I've been cutting down the hours I used to do like 2hrs max with 15 min breaks but now I cant even do 10min x2 a week without feeling like the wrist its being used too much :/
If the issue is getting worse like this I'd implore you to just take a straight up break from aim stuff
lessening the hand usage while still using it can make it worse and these types of injuries often can heal very slowly so any strain in the day can offset it
Bet thanks for the advice I'll do that :)
you probably started too hard with aim training, your wrist wasnt conditioned to deal with that stress in the first place
guys what should i do, my medial side of lower arm hurts
like this position
like this position
don't mind the red spots cause i poke it with a pen to make it feel better
you play like that? your forearm and elbow hovering in the air?
not entire forearm but the elbow do hovers in the air
why does the left side of my neck hurts when i play kovaaks
never ingame just kvk XDD
realyl fucking annoying and distracting
Today when I woke up in bed in the morning I lied awake a bit since I woke up an hour too early.
When trying to get back to sleep I felt a pain on the right side of my belly, just below my lowest right rib. (Kindof hugging the rib). It mostly hurt when I moved. Over 2 minutes or so the pain faded away.
Now later this day I felt it again, although much softer.
Is this normal? Or is it a sign of something bad? Like a sore muscle or something or a malicious tumor?
Yo. Want to become a Vaaks main. But scared of getting wrist injury or smth. If i take a break every 20 min for around 3 min, to walk around, look at far distant objects and stretch + a 20 min break every 2 hrs to do like 5 min stretch and rest and shit. Will i be "fine"? Or at least avoid getting something serious.
Obviously every body is different, and I do not tense while playing, at all. I am thinking of maining Vaaks for about 1-2 months or so. Possibly 3.
Thanks 🙏🏻
Can someone help me figure out why my arm randomly starts having tremors
whenever I play valorant or csgo
i never have this issue in any other game
im not sure whether it's tension or some underlying problem, but it's making microcorrecting fast and accurately as well as smoothly tracking in csgo and val
difficult
sup
my left thumb hurts alot
what should i do?
i tried traditional stretches but arent working
Is this routine ok Wake up around 8:30am Eat breakfast 9:00 Get on kovaaks 9:25 get off 11pm go to sleep 11:30
How much is the difference in sleep quality of 30 mins of no electronics before sleep to 1 hour of no electronics before sleep?
how many times can you eat painkillers in a day?
Read thw back of the box and it will tell you, I know that paracetamol is no more than 8 for 16 or over
as many as you like
Are there any exercises that could help me strengthen my wrist
I got a burning and dry eyes when playing Kovaak.
I'm staring too much?
yeah, take breaks for a bit and stare at something further away like out of your room to rest your eyes, u can put eye drops to water ur eyes too that helps
ty
Ty
Anyone know if progressive overload applies to exercises for your wrists/arms?
what's the healthiest grip style?
ty
hold your mouse comfortably and it will be healthiest one i guess
sometimes get some upper back sholder pain in my mouse arm that forces me to stop playing games for a bit
what would be causing this and how can I help mitigate this
why the fuck is my finger bent like that
i either never noticed or it happened after exercise rn
but i doubt id never notice it
will it go back to normal if it just happened?
talking about my pinky finger btw
it's also a lil bit like that on the other hand
also i noticed a bit of finger fat loss
nice nails 😄
Are naps healthy? I feel sleepy very often and I feel like it would help to get in at least one hour of sleep through naps after school/work, but my dad tells me that it will make it harder for me to fall asleep at night. Any advice?
Is it actually harder for you to fall asleep at night? Some people can sleep fine after a long nap. I personally can't sleep if I take a long nap, so if I get tired I take a power nap, 15-25 minutes. If I'm really busy throughout the week I make it a priority to try sleep at least 8 hours at night and take at least 3 power naps throughout the week. Power naps help especially when I can't get those 8 hours
omg thanks
do u think it could make me underperform
people probably have itbecause of how they grip their pens/pencil and etc
i think its alright
Looks bad. Might have to get that amputated
Thanks!
I'll look into that
I think I have early arthritis in my fingers. What are some prevention things I can do? I think its because of the way I hold my mouse. Fingers aren't tensed, but definitely stiff for a long period of time. Going to switch my grip from now on.
#1 thing to do if you're concerned is see a doctor
So i my school has health test and i found out that i have a long eye minus
is there a way to reduce it idk if you can reducei t tho
Cunts fucked sadly
yea
my thumb hurts when I claw/figertip grip my mouse, any tips?
I have aching pain in my forearm and wrist so I wanna stop aim training for a few weeks to recover, but I wanna know if playing my game still without aim training will prevent my arm from recovering.
change grip gg
The bigger problem with tech use is that people tend to engage in 'bedtime procrastination', whereby they use tech for longer than they intended, thereby reducing their sleep opportunity and getting less sleep.
Here's a good napping lit review for athletes: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8238550/
for the past 3 days ive been spending atleast 4+ hours on kovaaks, my wrist genuinely doesnt hurt should i just stop just in case? I dont want to and i dont feel hurt at all but idk it just doesnt sound right when i put it together. Today I did have a big breakthrough, i was bronze 2 all of last month but today i went from bronze 2 to silver 2 with only 2 scores not being silver and a few gold scores. Ive been rapidly improving but i dont know if i should keep up the 4+ hours or not.
It might sound stupid, but how to stop waking up in the night?
4 hours a day?
stop eating 2-4 hours before bed and don't drink water before going to sleep these are two that i know of there could be other factors as well that might affect your sleep and you can even eliminate those by yourself if you know what activities you do before going to sleep there are also problems that only your doctor might know
Well
I drink a lot, before sleep as well
So it might be this
I'll def check it, thanks
yeah.. why?
aim trainer main
a bowl of yoghurt wil fix the problem 😃
Doesn't fix it, just ends it without a solution
yo guys i have a question have any of you ever had eye strain before and how did you get rid of it
because ive had it for 3 weeks
and have been playing like 1 hour a day then not using any electronics for the rest of the day and that doesnt fix it
Not sure about eye strain, but I've had headaches from using electronics for too long, these are some problems that may cause it: brightness too high, too close to monitor, not enough ambient light
thanks for trying but yeah ive already tried lowering the brightness i always have my window open ive moved my monitor back as far as it can go and i play w blue light filter
i guess ima jus have to go to the optometrist to see what they say
Hey gamers, has anyone gotten it seems like elbow pain, almost feels like a tendon starting to hurt from aim training, i am quite the gamer so i throw my arm around a lot and what would you guys do to fix it
is your chair high enough so youre sitting properly
cus that used to happen to me when my chair was too low
like my arms were in line with my sh oulders
boys rip we not allowed to go to the eye doctor
the canadian government cut it cus they dont want to spend money on eye care right now
i wouldnt play more than 1 hour a day, 4 hours is insane
^^^^^^^
ive been dealing with extremely cold hands for a long while while i play, any tips i currently have a heating pad on my lap and i rest my hands on it normally after every so often or when it becomes unbearable
and even if my house is hot i still deal with extremely cold hands
just warm up your hands
use your hands more often theyll warm up
You can try doing wrist/hand stretches, it helps me get the blood flowing and gets rid of cold hands
uhm rn i use flex. claw grip, but sometimes i use my old fingertips grip for a short period of time and that's instantly dmgs my forearm what is the reason for that ?
Bad positioning? Are you asking why you go to ftip or why the ftip is causing you damage to forearm?
i seem to only be able to blink manually during my aimtraining. is it normal? how should i go about fixing it?
second one
my lower back hurts sm
scoliosis, schedule an operation for tomorrow STAT
Fully healed now 😈
Dont know what to do I was playing on 25cm but I guess I use my wrist too much when playing mid/high sens
Kinda hard to be accurate with arm movements and high sens.. any tips? That could be the reason, I probably just wasn't playing right and overused my wrist
You can use any sens, just don't play with bad posture like a lot of ulnar or radial deviation. Also, make sure you do a quick stretch before you play and a longer stretch after you're done gaming
Do people play with their feet planted on the floor? My desk is too big for that, I want a bit of a lower desk or something for my feet to rest on, they kinda hang a bit in the air
I try to plant my feet but my feet keep sliding.. so I usually keep my legs just like around my chair below the metal thingie a bit like curled. I think you can get some sort of stool or something to have your legs on. I just get up from my chair every 1-2 hours
Ye, I do that too sometimes 😊
put a box or something
i have an issue with wrist positioning - so I've been struggling with my wrist for a while now and I developed an unhealthy habit for my "mouse" hand
how can I lower the strain on my wrist
For some reason, my hands are slightly shaky which hasn't really been an issue in day-to-day life, but when I try to aim train, it impacts my performance (especially in precise tracking scenarios). Anyone had any experience with this/have any solutions?
so arm gaming with high sens should be fine?
No you should strengthen your wrist and don't hold with your wrists turned when your just holding it
@arctic moat
i just hit
a giant pb
4:30 min better
than my old
on my 5km run
up goood holy shit
yoo
so how do I prevent resting my wrist on the mousepad
while moving the mouse(fignertip grip)
is resting my wrist one the mousepad bad?
no
just know that if your hand is comfortable and no pain at all there's no need to change anything
hey so when I aim train for a period of time while using my wrist to aim I sometimes feel pain in like my upper forearm ish but it goes away after i just chill for a bit is this anything to be worried about its also not like bad pain jus eh
I kovaaked for a little and played for like 7+ hours on a tac fps and my shoulder is started to hurt doe's anyone think it could be positioning ?
think it's the 7 hours
this is the first time I usually play long periods I just started switching my positioning a little while ago
Anybody know how to fix a hurting pinky?
tensing hand probably
Maybe!
But it's only my pinky
do you grip you're mouse really hard ?
Maybe'
I don'rt mean to but I am trying to ifxi it']
makes sense just try you're best to focus cause honestly I used to grip my mouse hard and tense my hand thinking it made me better but in reality it makes you worse in the long run
Oh!! oki thank you!!!
how to get rid of anger issue lol
yoo do you crack your fingers from time to time ?
I read it's like "oil" for the joints
i crack them all the time
literally when i stretch at the beginning of every taekwondo class i take
some people say it's bad others say it doesn't do anything
Anyone has experiences with using windows night mode on a low strenght to prevent head ache?
Like it doesnt really looks yellow, just isnt as bright anymore
It won't make you worse unless it makes it harder to distinguish color changes. And it's better for your eyes as well
anyone else experiencing the thumb not executing the desired motion sometimes?
my hand is shjaking when I try to grab smthing
Does your monitor not have any sort of blue light reduction?
both are viable options, why not?
I was just wondering as that helps and may work better
Never used night mode on windows though
Yeah but I don’t get head aches
you could get the yellow tint glasses
Idk how the windows nightmode works but, if its a traditional overlay it might increase inputlag and decrease fps
Afaik it does increase latency
Woke up today and felt pain on the left side of my torso
a few hours later it went after but instead my back hurts
now
does anybody know why this might be?
Hmm did you get shot in the side and did the bullet come out through your back?
No xD
Ah no clue what it is then sorry
if you feel like you have stiffy fingers and can't move them freely in all directions and whatnot - maybe give this a try? i might be buying some for myself too
Anyone tried anti arthritis gloves for the night to keep the blood in the hand flowing and not waking up to stiff hands?
gtfo
just wanted to leave it here
can cold hands impact my aim?
yea it leads to not "feeling" anything you touch
gotta warm the mup
Hey, anyone can recommend ergonomic chair for around 100-200 euros? I don't really know what to look out for when purchasing one. I'm about 177 cm tall.
Somewhat healed I guess wrist feels normal no pinch or anything but I cant grip as tight anymore is like I lost 40% of my strength
If I go mid/highsens my wrist will get fatigued in minutes if I go low sens I'll start doing this random flicks and miss by a ton is like I have no control
Is it normal to have a sort of pain/numb sensation in your index finger from clicking the mouse ? Its been affecting me for a few weeks and at first I thought I should just take a few days off and it would go away, so I did but the problem still kept happening. Anyone have any solutions?
have you been doing stretches and exercises to help?
how do i stop having back pain
you know the answer
go to gym and do stuff for back to work against sitting the whole day
How long should I take a break from gaming to prevent something like rsi
cuz my wrists have started to occasionally hurt even when im not gaming
No I guess Im going to do that everyday I did some yesterday for like 15 minutes and honestly my wrist felt a bit stronger
u should test your mobility of figners and wrist and see if something cracks anywhere. And then and then go to the doctor
is there a certain amount of hours I shouldn’t go over daily in kovaaks ? , I want my wrist to be in a good state but I also want to grind kovaaks
Roughly one hour is a good limit, because there’s no real reason to go over it. Listman (2021) is an academic paper which looked at 500,000 Aim Lab users and found that people who practiced more than an hour didn’t show long-term improvement any greater than those who only did an hour.
In fact, 30 mins a day is enough to give you 90% of the maximum long-term improvement rate
There are limits to that analysis, but it’s still pretty compelling evidence that you’re likely better off just practicing for 30-60 mins and then doing something else with the rest of your time
looks good but you'll regret that chair in 5 years
Remember that a lot of pain comes from lack of stretching and mobility. Take breaks, get up and move around. Work out.
Learn to recognize when your arm is strained. Usually this is stiffness. Try to take frequent breaks. If you feel ANY pain - stop immediately (idgaf if you're on fire that day). That's gotten me from "death by RSI" to "grinding when I feel like"
I aim train 1-3 hours a day depending on my mood but if I feel any sort of stiffness anytime I just stop there and give a day break or so.

i would keep it more parallel to your body and not flare it out like that, might develop scapular winging for example
and yeah maybe try to invest in a more ergonomic chair
can someone show me how this looks like in real life, i can’t understand the illustration
i should feel a stretch right? cause i don’t feel much stretching’s being done when doing something like this, do i just apply more force or just do it for longer
Hey can somebody give me some advice regarded to my posture
I basically feel like my hands are staying too low so I have to raise my chair, but when i raise my chair I feel like my neck is going forward and makes me feel uncomfortable plus gets me a bad posture. Also my monitor is at its max height
i have same issue
;(
why has my reaction time went up by 10-20ms I avg 160-170 before it was 150 and I'm starting to think It could be sleep or maybe diet or even possible eye problems
these 3 things impact on your reaction time 100% sure
man :<
since i started to exercise, following a good diet my body just bumped down my reaction time
i went from 200 ms to 170 ms
idk how to fix these
you can't exercise? or like try to eat good food?
even going out for a walk on a sunny morning helps your reaction time
I'm might start running I try eat good food but I lost alot of weight and before I was eating even worse food and had a good 150-160ms
just make sure you're not hungry, if you exercise properly you can pretty much eat everything you like
that's what i do at least
keep us updated about your progress on running tho
i would love to read it!
I'm down but I don't know how much I'm gonna run ill figure something out
just don't force yourself too much, remember consistency is the key
There’s apps that can help you. For instance run/jog for 90 seconds and walk for 60. Id recommend walking for a mile to start off
It took me about half a year to run a sub 7 min mile. And I was averaging around 10 mins per mile
should i keep my shoulders back while sitting? it feels too forced when i do what the infographic says in the pinned messages
does anyone know what to do about my ocd which tells me if i lose in a fight all these bad things about myself which drives my mentality down and makes me play worse and worse
you probably need to go to a professional to get proper help, if for any reason you cant then look up mindfulness meditation
it sounds like pure ocd to me but we cant diagnose you
anyway i highly recommend trying to get proper help first because this could be fixed relatively quickly instead of battling it on your own for years
Should I try to make my sleep schedule the same for the weekends?
Like I have to wake up early on weekdays, so should I just wake up at the same time on weekends?
Ideally yes, then if you need it have a nap later on. It will help with that feeling of hitting a wall on Monday
I would definitely recommend some professional help here. @spark jewel is awesome but I am obviously biased.
It is hard to tell without a picture but if you are really straining it could be from a mobility deficit in your shoulders. Take a picture of yourself from the side and I can help out more!
I shouldn't be knocked out by just eating one mcdonald meal right?
I get extremely tired after meal often, i know carb and heavy stuff makes you sleepy, but should it be this sleepy? I cant focus at all after meal, maybe it's from lack of sleep
that's fine, should i leave my shirt on?
Please do
ROFL
Thanks Kiku
Ok so Im here again😔 I started doing stretches and it did help with getting my strength back and also 15 min break after each hour of gaming but out of nowhere I'm back to getting fatigued is like my wrist doesn't want to play is such a weird feeling I can't explain it I don't know if its my grip or posture(I've never had back pain or anything like that in my life ever)
Thats how I grip my mouse also with like 85% of my arm in so is not like all the pressure is on the wrist
Have also felt that the speed and reaction got worse by a lot only on the right hand tho dont know what to do alr took a break and got recovered but now it happens again
Thinking about switching to controller or left hand any advice?
6-7hrs on M-F and 8hrs to sometimes 9hrs on saturday and sunday
So I tried putting my elbow on the arm rest... is sitting like that good?
if you have other mice, see if the problem persists
might need to adjust chair/desk height stuff also
mandatory diet/exercise/go outside/sleep better stuff but ur probably aware
sorry im a bit late, but here's some pictures of my posture
relaxed
shoulders back
i feel a bit of a stretch on the area between my neck and shoulder, and thats whats making me break my posture after a few minutes
I recently hurt my wrist while doing aim practice and I don't want to make it worse but on the other hand I need to play an aim requiring game this weekend. İs there a way to avoid making my wrist worst while still playing competitively?
8 on schooldays
Have like an ache but not really painful feeling above elbow on arm I think from doing lots of speed training on low sens lately. Any stretches or idea what that is.
Think it might also be due to TS practice where I'm holding down mouse 1
Take breaks when you start feeling any signs of aching
thank you will do
I aim train 1-3 hours almost everyday but the second I feel any sign of aching I stop the routine completely and take a day or so break.
Make sense
man
The way your chair is formed is forcing your shoulders into an odd position. Yes I would want your shoulders to be in the shoulders back position more but the top of the chair prevents that from happening. Swap chairs or stick with relaxed, it's not a big enough change that I would say you need to be in shoulders back
I've been wondering this for a while.. When I stretch or more like just do each morning a warm up for my hand and wrist... my hand/fingers just are shaking for a while and not sure why that happens
Hello! I had tendinopathy the past weeks and today everything feels like it should again. I only got a very very minor pain in my wrist still.
When and how do you guys think should I get back into training again? @thorn matrix
Hi, my hand is always tensing during small dots scenarios or 180 switching, i have some suspicious that it's because of my sitting ... like the elbow is about 10cm below the table in normal position (straight down)
can you send a picture?
https://youtu.be/H_v5VdEDrHs?t=121 same applies in pc

put some pillows or something make your elbows at the very least comforatable in a 90 degree angle
not necessary but that's just the general rule
find yourself a comfortable posture
so I realized what the problem was.. I somehow started playing wrist without even noticing :/ I really don't know how it happened or when... currently relearning arm and my aim is a bit better than before but like 70% more consistent than wrist, all my scores are always the same so I just gotta focus on imrpoving
might take a bit to unlearn the habit, id also try a smaller mouse
i dont know if weight is relevant but it wouldnt hurt you to eat a little bit more
yea Idk I eat a lot I just dont get fat I probably should start working out
thats what a lot of people say but your perspective might be skewed, it feels a lot to you but if you count calories it might not be as much as you thought
or you eat "a lot" in a single sitting and stop for the day
ehh there is noone nearby who can photo me, i can try to photo only elbow *
so you said your elbow was under the desk?
that shouldnt happen
look at point 5
on the right
I tried...
as u can see, if i relax my arm the elbow will be literally under the table
i can lift up the chair but then there will be no way to get chair under the desk, because of height of chair's shoulders
or is that would be ok to be a bit far from desk ?
Im not 100% sure, @thorn matrix is this fine or not?
If you're going to sti that close you should take the arm rests off the chair and raise it higher, use a footrest if you need it
the problem here is the construction, arm rests hold the back of the chair
"desk is a bit far" means that
Hmm gotcha then you probably will have to pull back and kee the arm rests at desk level or get a new chair
sorry i got to this so late! having that pattern on the weekend would make it easier to transition on the weekdays. sometimes you can use the weekend to catch up. just think about how you feel on monday when you try to transition back and see how that affects your productivity!
is wrist aiming bad or something i usually use wrist because i came from minecraft pvp
why do i have a shoulder pain always when i play for longer periods 30+ mins and im not even tensing my mouse, relaxed claw grip
limiting yourself to only one "type" of aim is not as good as using arm and wrist aiming combined, the arm for the range of motion + the wrist for precision
is it normal to feel some tension in the elbow when doing a hipfire scenario on highish sens? lol
yes
fuck
after almost every scenario, i have pain in my hand and wrist and i have to take a break for a minute. i hate this because fundamental list lasts 120 minutes for me, not 60 minutes. even if i take a break for a few days, this situation happens immediately when i start. my mouse is logitech g102, i'm holding it too tight, could it be causing pain? i can't play without holding tight, it's a habit.
probably because your table is too high and you grip the mouse too tightly to still have control over it
Also, i also have a problem about posture and all
My Table is too tall and my Monitor is too small
my feet just barely touch the ground
the result of that is, if i (for example) change my keyboard position, then my aim either gets "faster" but unprecise or "slower" but precise in a very limited Range of motion
any tips to fix this?
