wait no i sleep for 8-10hrs
what fruits should i mostly eat
Don't look for a diet for specifically reactivity cause it just doesn't exist, just make sure you get enough carbs, protein, vitamins etc, and calories will depend on if you want to put on weight or lose weight. As for sleep excitement and see which how many hours you get how productive yoh are, so you may only need 7 hours, or you may need 11
Anything without a load of sugar
Strawberries are good
lol
Grapes are high in sugar
and veggies is just every common thing
There is no individual fruit that will make your diet instantly great
^
You diet should always be varied
ok
Eating the same foods constantly leads to you missing out on vital nutrients that can only be provided by other things
when will be a good time to eat fruits
evening?
i was thinking morning since i dont eat breakfast but it feels weird lol
You are 15, main thing you need to worry about is calories and protein, dont worry about other stuff tbh, if you want to lose weight eat in a calories deficit, if you want to put on weight eat jn a calorie surplus, if you want to put on muscle eat roughly 1g of protein per lb of body weight
^
Some fruits are acidic so don't eat them to late before going to bed
ok
imma just get strawberries and blueberries as my fruits gonna eat then afternoon so like 12-1pm
Ye, get some apple and stuff to, berries can be high in sugar
oh ok
I would sleep for 9+ hrs
ok
Basically don't worry to much about the specifics, just don't eat a load of junk food, sweets, fast food etc
As for diet just be healthy
i sleep from 11pm-7am/8am
pretty much just this
Start doing exercise
That's good
ok
Sleep should be consistent
Yeah, also exercise
so no fast food?
Yeah
Just keep an eye on if you are eating in a calories surplus, deficit, or equilateral
Cook your food
Being active will also boost your cognitive function
Lift weights or do body weight exercises
You can still jave fast food as a treat every once in a while, you don't have to life like its lent
calisthenics
So calisthenics
yea i dont even like fast food i just get it if im too lazy to cook
listen... all other aspects of calisthenics are beaten by rope
This is what's most important
is water the only drink we could have cuz thats all i drink besides some berry juice
Cooking is fun
Yes water is very important, fizzy drinks/sodas are very high in sugar, so are fruit drinks, so again only jave them every so often, drink at least 2l or water a day, for reference I'm 16 and I eat 3.2k calories roughly every day and burn about 3.1k, I eat roughly 1g of protein per lb of body weight, I drink 4l of water a day, I stay away from sodas and sugary stuff, thats a ll I pay attention to, nothing about specific food or anything @low thunder
Water is important for overall health, hair, skin, face fat etc
ok
yea i dont like soda its too sweet, only have them like thanksgiving only
should i still eat breakfast or no?
Yes
Most important meal of the day
It will give you energy letting you be more productive during the day
A rocket chair
I have a secret lab omega, don't have the arms on it
Can anyone help with ideas about stress relief
Its 1 week and a bit weeks until my gcses' and there a kinda bit exam which I am definitely not prepared for and I am really stressed to the point I cant do anything or concentrate
I think the best way to relief exam stress is prepare for it as well as possible, but idk about not being prepared
I try to but
I have 0 motivation
For anything
I dont even play games anymore
All I can do is lie in bed and listen to music or sit at my desk and listen to music or sit outside and listen to music
@violet swan hmm ever thought about purpose?
What do you mean?
I have better aim with fingertip grip but it's a little painful for my fingers after a while. Should I switch to palm grip or just keep using it?
like why do you play games, why do you study etc
thats where motivation comes from
dont do anything painful
I do, I been kinda down bad recently and I dont enjoy my games as much anymore as I sort of lost most my main friends that I played with, and studying I dont care for schoolwork at all.
Okay, not enjoying games is fine, you dont have to play them. What might help is socializing if you dont already. For studying, what do you want to do later in life -> How does schoolwork contribute to it
I'm not sure.
I just lack alot of motivation now.
No.
I dont want to get a normal job, I'm not sure what I want to do yet but I dont want it to be just a normal job.
I still feel stressed about my schoolwork though.
hmm
any idea what you want to do
or no?
maybe what interests you?
Sorry for the really delayed reply, uhm i mean i love gaming normally but alot of my really good friends have left like the game or discord or something and its sort of made me less interested recently.
In my opinion playing video games isn't the same without your friends and people to share the moment with.
@violet swan Hmm, I mean you are not forced to play games, but it sounds like you are pretty passionate about it, maybe try to connect with people here, maybe you find someone to play your games with+
Other than that i dont really have many other interests. I stopped working out a while ago and have found it very hard to get back into aswell. I used to do gym workouts and then do like 1 or 2 5k runs a week as cardio, But yeah completely stopped working out for a while.
Sounds like lockdowns and stuff hit your mental quite hard
Yes. For sure.
I do try and make new friends but im quite a quiet person until i get to know someone and feel comfortable. So its a bit awkward for me.
You dont even know how much I understand that 😄
The anonymity of the internet might help tho
also, if you have the option, talk about your problems with your parents or friends
Maybe i should try and reach out to some older friends i have lost contact with.
Yeah, i might try to talk to my parents about it.
that could be a great idea, also it might make them feel good. Its possible they are in the same situation
Its probably the right thing to do as i have felt like this for a reasonable amount of time now.
Ok, i will try and do that.
definitely do that, can feel weird depending on how open you are with each other, but it will make you feel better
yes
Do you feel like its going into a depressive direction or is it not that bad at the moment?
I have thought that i have been going in a depressive direction for a long while now, i spoke to a friend online about it and he said to be depressed it has to be diagnosed by a doctor.
ohhh
in that case
talking to a therapist is probably a good idea
depression can become really bad, so the earlier you notice it the better I think
I spoke to my mum about it a few months ago and opened up a bit, she offered to get therapy but i thought it costs alot of money so i just left it.
In which country are you if I may ask?
Health insurance is mandatory there aswell right?
like here in germany?
Sorry, what does mandatory mean?
like you need to have it
We have NHS.
sounds like what we have aswell
Im not too sure what it is, but its like some sort of health care.
I actually went to therapy a few years ago (it was great) and the insurance covered it as far as I know
I dont think you have to pay it
Oh, Nhs is free health insurance.
Part of everyone's' tax in the uk goes towards the nhs, and then if you want private health insurance you have to pay for that additionally.
okay
it should cover it
Im not sure if therapy counts into like a medical thing though..if that makes sense. I dont really know much about it as im only 15.
if its like here
same im 15 aswell 🙂
wait a second, im asking my mom about it
Oh, okay thank you very much.
Okay the insurance covered all of it @violet swan
And even if it didnt, your mental health is a lot more important to your mom, than money, trust me on that
Okay thank you. I will try to reconnect with some of my old friends to play with, and maybe look into getting some therapy.
Its a bit late to save my school grades now as its 1 week until exams.. that sucks.. but yeah.
try to still practice for them
also
ask your teachers if you can do extra projects if you can manage that, that might save you
I managed to attempt to study today, i only managed half a hour before loosing interest and going to sleep.
atleast you did something
also
try to work in 25min intervals
25min work, 5min break(no phone or anything, just go outside or look out the window)
its called pomodoro technique and works like a charm
@violet swan also, take a bigger break, like 20min every 4 intervals
if you manage to study for that long
also, please update me on how your studies are going @violet swan
You are very welcome
Will do. Thanks again.
My dad used to teach mindfulness, he says to imagine you are driving a car with a trailer on the back, in the trailer is pieces of paper with all your worries and bad thoughts written down, now imagine you are driving down the road and the trailer falls off, all the paper blows off in the wind and you can visualize all your bad thought blowing away
I'm going to need one big bit of paper. Hang on do you write it down in real life.. or just do it in your head?
Oh..yeah.
You can write them down irl if you wish and throw them away if that helps
Okay, I will try that before I go to sleep tonight thank you very much.
I think I will stick to doing it in my head.
Fair enough
Mhm thank you.
I got an issue of my forearm hovering
It's because my grip makes the rest of arm at an incline
Which makes weight distribution very bad
Tires out my wrist and shoulder after a while
However if I make the same grip on my mouse but position it that the end of my palm touches the pad there is no incline and my forearm is on the pad but I feel movement is very restricted
What can I do in this situation
Is there a glaring issue that would fix this all for me ?
Should I just bite the bullet and change my grip?
Is it weird that i drink cold water to be more calm and cold minded
no
Same effect for me
yeah i prob gonna get a cold but fuck it
you dont get colds from drinking cold water lol
ok im stupid then lmao
i have problem with my sleep schedule sometime i cant sleep is there any way to sleep faster?
Ive been getting pain in my hand. any ideas?
Which position?
hey guys i hurt my wrist screwing in some plant hangers in my garden
its been about 3 days and i still get slight pain when aiming
any advice on how to ensure it heals properly ?
Maybe do a massage slowly and get enough rest
I usually let it heal by self, it takes around 1 week or more
@arctic valley I fixed it I will send vid I used cause its truly magic.
Foam rolling for eSports/Gaming. A Self-therapy program for wrist pain:
- 10 deep strokes per tender spot
- Repeat massage strokes 3x a day
- Soreness in forearm can occur, treat with moist heat (wet towel)
Follow this link for discussion...
this guy fixed my hand pain
worked for me lol
Are there exercises to strengthen my eyes
i just snorted 17 lines of coke and i can now fly should i be concerned
nah
No but it might screw with your muscle memory.
Kind of! There are muscles that control the movement of your eyes, but in most people, there's no need to do additional strengthening beyond what strengthening occurs from normal, everyday movements. Usually, exercises for the eyes are only prescribed for people who have presbyopia, crossed eyes, double vision, or astigmatism; even then, they only help reduce the effects of those conditions, they don't fix them.
Ah okay
why my wrist is starting to hurt every match i play (i play claw grip)
are you planting your wrist?
are you putting pressure on your wrist? like are you pushing it into your mousepad?
anytime youre using a mouse are you pushing into the mousepad with your wrist?
stop pushing into the mousepad with your wrist
doesnt matter what you aim with just make sure youre not putting unnecessary pressure on your wrist
its fine to let it rest on the mousepad but dont put pressure on it
@covert sphinx using a sleeve helps?
not really
I notice im tearing up only while playing air scens is that normal?
same here, I think you need to try and blink more
Hey guys im not sure what kind of thing i have but seems like that happened because of me being dumb using a hand expander playing much and doing low to no rest between kovaak scenarios. I've i would say soreness in intrinsic hand muscles after i use a mouse for some time, primarily in those that are somehow responsible for pinky and ring finger. It is not pain i'd say but some kind of slight burning feeling. I've took a break because of it so it wont go crazy further and i wanna have an advice is it better to keep stretching it sometimes or leave it alone untill its gone? And if someone had it i'd appreciate if you tell me ur story and how to heal it.
TL;DR: slight burning in intrinsic hand muscles please help
can i ask about posture and stuff?
yes
look in pins aswell, there's a posture guide
i wanted to ask
i play on a bit forward leant position, and i have no clue which muscles to focus when working out and stretching
i mean, i know that erector spinae for lower back and rhomnoids for retracting scapulas, but is there any more points i must take care of?
is it bad that im swapping my old glasses to play games?
you mean you put on your old glasses just for gaming?
all air scens or only the ones that take 2 mins+
cuz if youre tearing up on those its probably just youre not blinking enough
YES
because my new glasses make it really hard to see a crosshair ingame
why lol
or focus on moving targets
talk to your eye doctor
but my doctor said they are the right glasses for you
did you tell them that you cant see moving stuff clearly?
i told them that i couldnt focus on smaller objects
i was told that it takes time for the brain to get used to the new glasses and that i should wait
its been a month
hasnt improved
tell him again probably
i should
but for the time being
you should probably leave your glasses on so your eyes improve
would it be bad if i wore it for like an hour or two
aight cool, thanks tho

i dont like soda
Me neither, but I still drink it now and then
its not for me only drink some in thanksgiving
i never celebrate my birthday because i dont like sweats too
for mixed nuts and any recomendations?
my diet will probably be breakfast, protien bar/milk, afternoon water with whatever my parents cook and so is dinner
but in between lbreakfast and lunch ill eat berries/some other fruits

itll be the best 100$ you will ever spend
when i aim train, like kovaaks, my wrist always starts to hurt to the fact that i had to switch to arm but i hate arm aiming
is kirkland protien bar good or nah?

And just get used to arm you'll feel better
try arm turning training by vF Kroader
im getting choclate cookie dough a lot of people says it's good
It's ok for a boost of energy but other than that I would go for a protein shake or something

Matcha is green tea
Testosterone increasing is a cause of acne
damn this channel is a whole biology class
anybody know how to prevent this post lunch slump
do you drink coffee in the morning?
I accident taste 1/4 spoon of soup broth during fasting
Is it gonna make me lost fasting?
(It look like overthinking lol)
the broth should only be water with some nutrients. as long as it doesnt have any fats, carbs or prots in it it doesnt
even if it had a little bit you would kick the fast again in no time
1/4th spoonful is basically nothing
i see Thx
I've played around 100 hours of valorant in the past week and about 20 hours in kovaaks. Today I began to have searing pain in my forearm. What is it/what could it be if anyone knows
What part of your forearm? Near elbow? Near wrist? Top or bottom? Also 120 hrs gaming of 168hrs(7*24) in a week is probably not optimal for health, learning or enjoyment, take care my friend.
Near the elbow
and both the top and bottom
it mostly hurts when moving my mouse with fingers with fingertip grip
Im just worried if it's an injury I should look at or just strain from overuse and I just need a break
Are you experiencing weakness? Like is your grip strength impaired?
If you're not taking adequate breaks, stretching, drinking water, then don't be surprised.
That's a shit-load of intensity you've placed on your muscles in a sharp amount of time.
I am leaning towards that this should be a temporary issue, due to the extreme amount of play. Probably just taking a break for a few days, and easing on the intensity is all you will need to recover. Ice, stretching and strengthening are all good too. 💯 we are not doctors, this is not medical advice, please do seek appropriate health care if your symptoms do not improve.
alright thanks!
also no I can grip as hard as normal, it's specifically when I aim. Making a fist doesnt hurt at all
Given no weakness and the location+cause of pain it is probably rsi of the forearm extensors
why do everytime i drink coffee i feel like i have to fart
LOL
I cant answer your question but that was kinda funny ngl
its true though
its only with coffee
lmao
idk i always have to take a shit after i drink coffee
hello, when I use kovaak I ften feels my eyes burn, so im wondering is there any suggested settings for visuals?
if your eyes are also tearing up, try to blink more
yes it is exactly whats happening, I think i forget to blink lol
I feel you, same here sometimes
just focus on it a bit
thank you man 🙂
np mate
how important is water on a scale of 1-10 and how often should I be drinking it?
2-3 litres a day
then you should seriously start doing it @tacit glade
noted
coca cola
xqc headass lmfao
My old best friend would drink 1-2 liters of coke a day. Dude never gained weight but had the worst acne I've ever seen
Would a good diet be
Breakfast-water/green tea, and blueberries
Lunch-protien bar and mixed nuts
Dinner-bananas and water
Idk how ppl like coke that tastes so 🤢
So does every other soda besides ice tea and fanta
6 bottles of water?!?!?!?!
your diet sounds like its less than 1000 calories
Max I could drink is 4 a day
Is it bad?
Idk what else to add
More complex carbs like vegetables, fruits, whole grains. More protein like chicken and fish.
2-3 litres so 4-6 bottles of 0.5 litres
1000 calories wtf
not dead yet? 😄
How does he even survive??
Eat ill fs eat some veggies and meat
I was just saying things that will be in my daily diet
Why does everyone eat blueberries like what is the health benefit? I know they are healthy but it seems like they are just the dripped out berry
Lol
For peanuts do i get less than 50% peanuts or normal from planters
Smh all stores i went to today ran out of berries
And bananas
Jasmine green tea is nice+ it's local
No that's a meal when combined not a diet.
i was into this b4 it increases reaction time
hmm did not know that
A fucking boardzy video of all things made me realize I've had a pretty shitty underlying habit in my aim where I'm, for whatever inane reason, leading with my palm instead of fingers. I consciously did the contrary and man, what the fuck. When did I ever pick that up.
same
Im simply addicted to water
idk how to describe it
Yea
That would probably not be enough calories. If you're trying to pay attention to your weight, you should start by figuring out how many calories you burn in an average today. You can do that with a TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) calculator like this: https://tdeecalculator.net/
One of the most important numbers to pay attention to once it spits out your calculation is your Basal Metabolic Rate. That's how many calories your body needs just to run all of its normal internal processes (keep your heart beating, process/digest food, keep your brain functioning), let alone what it needs to do activity and exercise. If you're eating too much under your Basal Metabolic Rate, you might lose weight in an unhealthy way and put your body at risk. As a general rule, unless you're a 5' woman, you probably need AT LEAST 1400 calories/day ("probably" because there are some medically-supervised very restrictive diets that are less than that, but they require really close supervision by a doctor).
Don't over-restrict on calories. Not only is it harmful to your body and your performance, it's also unsustainable and you'll probably "rebound" or overeat later on when you get hungry. Slow and steady progress is better. Start by swapping in one vegetable every meal, or drinking a protein shake for breakfast instead of eating a sugary cereal--small changes are the most sustainable, and they add up.
Use the TDEE calculator to learn your Total Daily Energy Expenditure, a measure of how many calories you burn per day. This calculator displays MUCH more!
I've got a Nutrition 101 article here that might help starting out: https://www.1-hp.org/blog/healthy-eating/nutrition/
It doesn't go into things like micronutrients and how they affect performance, but if you're just generally trying to eat healthier (which will also improve performance!) this is where to start.
my desk is not adjustable, but my chair is, and I can't find a comfortable height for my desk, what is reccomanded for chair height for desk?
Literally such a fun task
How can you tell if you have your desk too low or chair too high?
should I have my entire forearm on the desk?
yes why not
My doctor told me that my pains in my upper arm will go away after a couple weeks and its been nearly half a year should I go back? Its affecting my ability to arm aim
YES
If he told you a few weeks and its half a year
yes
100%+
like its not massive pain but noticeable
kind of a different type of health psa
guys if aiming and gaming is taking up a bigger portion of your life that your education rethink ur life lol. i am failing my first year of college and likely dropping out because of gaming and this was entirely avoidable. if ur still in school pls dont make the same mistake i did and study ur butt off. this mistake likely cost me 15k as a 19 yr old with no job and now im kind of directionless and clueless. so tldr; pls study
I'd ask for a referral to a physical therapist. If you've been having pain for this long, it's not the kind of thing that just goes away; it'll require figuring out what's going on/what tissues are involved and making a plan to strengthen them, mobilize them, and generally help them both recover and be ready for the workload they take on while you game/work/study etc.
As a general rule, if you get pain from something, just resting might temporarily relieve the pain--but it doesn't address why you had pain in the first place. For that, you need to look at things like posture/positioning, workload, strength, endurance, mobility, and flexibility. That's what a medical professional SHOULD do for you.
crazy how brown skinned bananas are still actually fine inside they just look bad
Playing like an hour of kovaaks a day for about 2 weeks and my wrists hurt a decent amount. I have no restrictions in the way I can move my wrist it just hurts when I do move it
Already on a break but is there any way to avoid this?
try to not tense, also dont play when you experience pain
Is it normal to experience this?
no, no pain is normal
Hey @glass pumice - Definitely not a normal experience and is indicative of your wrist / hand muscles (most likely tendons) not having enough capacity to handle the repeated stress of kovaaks. Depending on where it hurts, there are specific exercises you can look to do. Often resting and reduction of load can weaken the tendon among other negative physiologic changes
Instead the goal should be to gradually load the tendon in a healthy way but reducing the kovaaks training load to an amount you can handle without causing pain.
IN terms of increasing muscular endurance and stress tolerance. Would check out a few of our resources
Wrist pain is by far the MOST common complaint I get when I work with pros and gamers. And the first thing they often encounter online are resources telling them to rest, brace, just do stretches! Sorry that’s not going to help in the LONG run. These are just methods for short-term relief. I’m Dr. Hwu and i’m the esports injury doctor and over t...
that is a good place to start
on top of that if you want to just get started with some routines
- Warm-UP (3 Minutes): https://youtu.be/hsyUH4OIk2w
- Post Session Stretch (6 Minutes) https://youtu.be/PXkSDfgAHGw
- Daily Wrist Conditioning Routine (repeat 2x, 9 Min each)

Or you can do some region specific routines we created for common pain patterns in the FN community (which also extend out to other high wrist / hand load games)
Hey guys in this walkthrough video I tell you how you can warm up your gaming hands and perform an exercise routine just before your gaming session to help you perform better and prevent injuries. I discuss the three major ways a SPECIFIC PHYSICAL warm-up helps achieve this. Our main goal is to warm-up the muscles you are utilizing most frequent...

- General Coordination
- Strengthening and Endurance
The purpose of this routine is to keep your wrist/ha...
Helloooooo guys. I’m Matt. I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy and I work with pro esports teams. Also… i’m the goat apparently for gamers therapy. Yeah – thank Psalm and friends. So earlier this year [2020] I sent out a questionnaire (if you haven’t filled it out – here it is) to the fortnite community...
@open ivy I was taking a look at some wrist exercises earlier, Im still going to do kovaaks daily but gonna ease off the time doing it until I can build up a better endurance with my wrist or increase the tendons
also ordered something similar to these to help
Hey I've been reading articles on about this topic and not sure if it was true or not.
is there such thing as a dominant eye?
there is, you can test it by making a triangle with your hands (your 2 index fingers and 2 thumbs) and putting an object quite far away, like 10m, in the middle. Then you close your left eye, if the object is not in the triangle anymore, your left eye is more dominant. If not, try closing the right eye, if the object moves out of the triangle now, your right eye is more dominant. For most people the right eye is more dominant, but for my mother its the left one for example
If I do calisthenics(gross motor) and also do aim training(fine motor), would working out indirectly affect my mouse control positively? Like Idk dumb question I guess.
how serious is arthritis? I think have it in my right hand because my fingers stiffens pretty bad (keep in mind the does not happen often). How long of a break should i take and how often should i stretch my fingers to try to combat/help my fingers.
i might not have arthritis, i dont know why my fingers are stiffening though
sorry for spam, i think i played trainers for too long today, causing this stiffness
i need to learn a safe schedule lol
i did this test, and closing left eye i cant see that object... so whats nows
you are left eye dominant
so gun for example keep on right? or on left
doesnt matter at all I think, its just a fun test
No use afaik
I see 😄 it is kinda fun
it is, and most people are right eye dominant so you are special
@violet swan
Lol ofc am special 😄 everybody its 😄
😄
Any advice on nutritional drinks I could drink while playing, or is water adviced? I used to drink some form of nutritional drink with BCAA when I used to workout in the gym pre-corona ^^ Just curious as ive seen computer stores also sell energy drinks with different nutritional values 🙂
if ur drikning lots of water you probably want some form of electrolyte with it
u can get tablets or powder to chuck into ur water which is good
dont need to buy some pre mixed dumb drink
Thats what i was looking at, the powdered stuff that isnt pre-mixed^^ They just call it energy drinks here lmao
well
dont get energy mix stuff
its dumb
just get actual electrolyte tablets/powder
alright, cheers 🙂
I've recently swapped a lot of the energy drinks to just carbonated water with flavors. Might be an idea to get the ones without a flavor and use electrolyte tablets 🙂
At least when I'm home, when at work I might go for an energy drink.
meh
energy drinks are trash
non caffinated/stimmed focus is genuinely underrated
I guess
why do my legs feel really weird like they have to move when i play scenarios in kovaaks
it used to only happen on bounce 180 but now even on the easier ones sometimes
Guys i drink 3lt of water per day, what could I drink as an alternative without sugars but with some flavor?
have you tried flavored sparkling water? its not for everyone but I sometimes like it over water
also 3lts of water is a lot
I just feel thirsty when playing
yeah just be careful not to over-hydrate haha
Try add some green tea into the mix
not more than 3 cups tho
why?
@glass pumice
I read somewhere that there is no real limit to how much green tea you can drink
like as long as you aren't chugging liters of it in one sitting
I cant remember off the top off my head, think it was due to iron or something
ill have a look into it
So if you have any sort of iron deficiency its not ideal to drink too much.
Idk I must of read it wrong from before, I'm still probably going to only drink 3 a day just because its routine for me
I should have expected this but it matters on the person a lot
pretty much every articles says that over 1.1 liters might be bad
WHY DO BLUEBERRIES taste so soggy
u got stale blueberries
?
a grocery store thats organic lol
wdym by stimmed focus @silent osprey
just... focusing harder when u vaaks?
cause I honestly found
caffiene doesn't help much and I almost feel like I can think clearer when I'm not on it
Nah I said non caffeinated or stimmed
I agree with you mostly
I think cycling caff is fine but regular use probably makes u worse
strained my wrist by over aim training
why does caffeine make me so sleepy
I mean I think thats what happens a few hours after drinking it
it happens after like 10-15 mins
then dont drink it?
is there a reason 1 day my reaction time is consistently 160 170 and then a few days later im strugging to get like 180 190
ton of things that can change your reaction time on a day to day basis
sleep, diet, etc
You could talk to a psych person to see if you have anything like ADHD, since it can have a reverse effect for individuals with ADHD. 🙂
i use caffeine as my adhd meds
calms me down
cant use my usual ones because im on an antidepressant that could cause seizures with the adhd meds
pretty sure i don't have any adhd problems
That's fair, just an idea for what could be causing the caffeine to make you sleepy.
Either way, good luck! If caffeine is making you sleepy, I'd recommend just avoiding it then so you play at your best more often.
im taking it after eating lunch in the afternoon so it might be the reason why i feel sleepy after it
Feel like whenever I've found a method that helps me sleep
Shit works 1-3 times and the once again i lay here for hours not being able to sleep
I try to increase my sens but everytime I do i get a shooting pain in my wrist while playing static routines, its pretty unbearable. Any advice?
im just gonna assume that you probably start gripping your mouse harder to cover for the lost precision
Possibly. I dont feel like i am but that was also my first thought.
I know its fatigue but i dont know what exactly its from.
how high of a sens are we talking/
well i dont think its fatigue
in my experience fatigue isnt pain its just harder to lift things or move at a good speed
or your brain moves slower
hmm
I went from a super low sens to a 60/360 then to 40/360... But I had 0 problems at 60/360
you might just be moving muscles your hand isnt used to moving since you need to be more precise now? im not a doctor but its my best guess
uhh this used to happen to me as well actually
would drink nrg drink nd in 20 mins would hit the sack
Yeah honestly most likely. I dont consider myself to be lazy asf so it was weird that moving my hand caused me pain
Does anyone get pain above their elbow?
I’m trying to figure out what could cause it and how to treat it
maybe because youre resting that spot of your arm on the table
I think I’m gonna see a doctor
Why do I feel more tired after a one hour snooze?
your body isn't used to napping probably, used to happen to me but now I don't feel tired after naps anymore
@upper folio
What are good stretched for the outer fore arm area? And also maybe for my elbow, I recently started to have pain in my outer fore arm and soreness in the area where my fore arm meets my elbow
@violet swan you have to try it before you can know 🙂
I just searched around and found this video

insanely good imo
Naps should only be 10-20 minutes
There is a section about it in the Voltaic sleep document
Does anyone have any reccomendation for a chair for under 200$
Why do I feel so tired with 10 hours of sleep, but I feel more awake with only 3 hours of sleep?
why does everyone say their dog is named kylo
prolly bc of rem sleep cycles
I'm debating cutting off my arm supports for my chair so I can bring my chair high enough to the desk to have a better sitting position
Anyone familiar with skin cancer
Not adjustable
well thats a yikes, experienced sharp pain last friday on my right wrist and i took a break from all hand/wrist intensive activity, making sure i dont sleep on my wrists and all that
now suddenly both my wrists are in pain, worse than it has ever been

i dont think wrist supports are recommended at all
does masturbation cause aim to go down?
i feel like everytime i masturbate
my aim sucks
No its just a conspiracy spread by nofap 1heads
Which part of your aim. If your dick is big enough you'd use your arm so only your arm would be tired and your precision would be fine
But i guess thats not the case
Sadge

not surprising
Orgasms release melatonin so you wont be as alerted afterwards
Ah thank you
just counter it with coffee
ez
btw fun fact - I break my high scores whenever i have a cup of strong coffee beforehand
its like magic
Only one cup tho. 2 cups make your hand shake

so my wrist has been hurting for a while and I checked with my doctor
told me everything was fine
while fiddling with my grip I realized that fingertip almost stops me from developing any kind of pain
is it still normal? and any advice for finger tip grip since I guess I'll keep playing it
I play apex mainly
on 28 cm
Damn, I was planning to start playing with a finger grip style but that thing is too difficult for me. Would also like to hear some advice
I just forced myself to play on ftip and eventually learned it. I'm not sure if there are any tricks to get good on it faster but even doing it the hard way is still worth it 100%
1 thing that might help is to apply the least amount of force to the mouse you can while still having good movements
Do you also finger grip whilst not playing and do simple stuff on your dektop?
ye but way more relaxed
pain isnt normal, i would advise not to continue playing when in pain i did the same and now i might have done permanent injury on my wrists
even if its slight pain stop
I mean, now that I'm playing fingertip only I don't even feel any kind of pain anymore
and since my doctor told me I didn't have anything I guess my problem was a shitty grip
I had a similar problem a few months ago and a grip adjusment did the job
i have been on nicotine for 3-4 years
i am 17
i am lowering my consumption substantially
and my mechanics are going way way way upwards
like rapidly
my mouse control and energy are skyrocketing
but i am just making terrible terrible terrible decisions ingame
playing way too aggressive etc
i'm just asking if anyone has had similar experiences + how they dealt with it
like my mechanics even my damn eyesight feels better
but i just... cannot think correctly
like my head i just walk at kids
i just think we kill yes!!!
you can probably find a good fix to that just by googling different methods
I have never done nicotine and that has always been how I play games 😂
Can being under the effect of marijuana improve some aspects of aim?
@pearl dome maybe but I doubt it would improve anything that just generally being relaxed wouldn't
@steady thunder i just ate a salad
but it tasted a little bit off
so im worried that it mightve gone a little bad
Will i die?
Im making brownies
Healthy brownies
Because theyre still under my calorie limit
Yes
maybe i should powder up some brownies
Dew it

idk if u can ever make healthy brownies
healthy is a question of definition
i ate a bag of chips yesterday
but stayed under 1750 calories for the day
healthy isn't just about calories
ya but nobody with more than 1 brain cell to rub together thinks tdee is health
nah exactly
tdee?
tbh u might be able to do brownies with artifical sweetener + rlly high quality butter and be pretty well off
because the rest is just coco and egg whatever
total daily energy expendature
pretty sure you don't need butter for brownies
i think u almost certainly need some kind of fat
could use coconut oil or something maybe idk
ye ye but isn't butter like the worst type of fat
dont think so
high quality butter is pretty alright
infinitely better than rancid seed oils n shit
also there is a difference between butter
and those easy spread
things
they arent pure butter
or so ive heard
i mean most of them are gonna be some hydrogenated oil or something
me in a discussion about healthy oils when I just ate 2 steaks
steaks are great
dunno if u can hydrogenate without lots of transfat
dunno what hydrogenate means
same
removing liquid?
ait
i rlly wanna get into nutrition/diet stuff professionally but im waiting for in person course stuff to open again
like holy fk im not paying money to take some dumb zoom online course when there were already existing online courses that dont charge ur ass off
understandable
dietician or some kind of psychotherapy sounds rlly interesting to me
can i ask a question ?
is that a question? @prisma rock

nah it's just that my right wrist hurts ( the hand that i hold my mouse with )
was going to ask for some wrist strengthening stretches or some exercises to help
There are some in the resources channel
ty ty ❤️
Tracking gives me Tricep pain where it connects to my armpit. Any ideas
@eager violet relax your arm maybe idk haha
How to play longer without having bad mental?
I always feel bad when i can't carry my team or even make a good performance the good thing is i always looking for improvement but the bad thing is I can' play only 1hr and didn't want to play it anymore cuz i think i'm bad
can a physio that is not specialized for hand/wrist issues help at all?
cant find any near me so it would be a multiple hour drive
How do I know if I need a break from kovaaks?
if you feel empty inside
while doing kovaaks
if you don't have the drive
if you feel like doing kovaaks is a burden
If you no longer perceive aim training as training, but as a necessity to prove yourself. If you, instead of understanding that you're not gonna break a PB on every run, start focusing on "oh well I did better yesterday/last week/last month" then it's stopped being about training and has become a battle where you try to prove to yourself that you haven't gotten worse
Take a break if you don't feel interested in doing it. If you aren't able to focus on what you need to improve, and concentrate on playing the scenario properly with the end goal of "I am currently improving x about my mouse control by doing y and z in this scenario" then you should stop
Play to improve, play to learn, play to do what YOU want kovaaks to help you with, and believe that it will work
Most importantly, play to have fun
Yeah physiotherapists can normally release and assess any tightness in your body
Wrist/hand/forearm specialists will most likely have more experience with gamers, I'll say
today I felt some numbness in my hand when I move it around
what should I do
to take care of it
probably go to a doc, numbness isnt a good sign and you dont want to make it any worse
dont ignore small signs like that, it might be a fraction of what is about to come if you dont address the issues that are causing it in the first place
mate probably just pinched a nerve or something lol
Yeah it's probably that
Muscle tightnesses in the forearm can lead to a nerve being pinched in your arm, which then extends up to your hand and make it feel tingly/numb
any thoughts on using a massage gun for ur arms
whats the optimal height and position for your arm and wrist?
im no expert so dont expect an educated reply but i personally wouldnt use them, repetitive vibrations on delicate areas that you want to use for decades doesnt sound good
especially not on the hands lol
i would rather use my own fingers
Does anyone here have experience with Ecdysterone?
I have a question, yesterday I played kovaak for a few hours and now, after sleeping the night, my wrist is "snappy". my aim is not fluid and I can't aim good right now, someone have any advice? is that a grip problem/my wrist problem?
did you stretch before and after your play session
I started working out my chest muscles and I found myself suffering in terms of speed
can't track close fast targets as well as I could
For context, I use arm aiming (~42cm/360) so I think there might be an effect?
Is this normal and what are the ways to lessen the decrease in speed
thanks in advance
any tips for clavicle pain gaming?
These past years I've always feel like I'm in another dimension and always feel unconscious around 5-10 people I'm not sure why.
Anyone know why?
And then last fncs I was playing it and I felt like I was in another dimension end game and I was droning out
boys my wrist and hand muscles began to do weird movements and I mostly cant control it
it doesnt hurt but it's like a spasm I cant control it
what do you mean? like everything feels unreal?
if i understood you correctly at all then it sounds a bit like depersonalization/derealization
Thoughts on gfuel?
Yea
What causes it?
It started evening at Boston I remember I felt like I was in another dimension
From nyc
how not to lose motivation after losing 4 games that were so easy to win
but yet SOMEHOW we lost
Googled the meaning have a mixture of both
I'm also 14
my nose has been congested for a couple of weeks now
and i feel like im not getting enough oxygen whenever I breathe so I have to take an extra deep breath
it alos has the most effect when I'm lying down
I'm unsure if this is a sign of covid-19 or another health condition like heart failure
but I'm very concerned
tell doctor. like 85% sure its nothing serious
I have almost no grip strength right now
what is the most comfortable place to put the strength of my grip when claw gripping that allows me to also micro adjust with my side fingers because i'm mostly putting the pressure between my pinky and thumb
maybe anxiety related? ask your parents to get you to a mental health professional edit: i had something similar during your age but it evolved into panic attacks and anxiety later on, so if you might feel like its something similar i recommend getting it checked out
you shouldn't rly squeeze your mouse if thats what you're asking
Don't put any strength into your grip
Easier said than done
you need to actively think about undoing your habits to undo em
Why didn't I think of that!
Maybe I'm just incredibly untalented at aiming but if I don't tense my hand my aim gets significantly worse. I have been working on it for a while and seen good improvements but it's a slow process.
how can i figure out if my chair is adjusted properly

After a while that I play, my back of the neck begins to stretch by itself whenever I move my head. It's getting annoying, how do I fix it?
didnt understand
I don't know how to explain it properly, behind the neck itself, that part, begins to stretch itself
Is there pain /discomfort?
No, just annoying
What kind of stretches for the neck?
hi guys i've been struggling with my eyes lately and especially on fast paced games like apex, turns out i might be to close to my screen along with other eyes related health issues, do you think playing in windowed mode with a lower resolution could be a solution to avoid dizziness and eye strain ?
best thing is to sit further from monitor, take regular breaks and do eye exercises
yea, i'm currently seeing an orthoptist to help me with that, i'll try to fix my setup to get more distance from the monitor
eventually invest in a small one
thanks
any info on the recommended distance from the monitor ? depending on its size maybe ?
generally people say full arm distance but idk
sorry about the big message about to come up
hey guys, im coming here for a talk, recently everything just gets harder and harder, especially in school, im nice at math and everything else, but with the bad grades im getting im feeling like im a total failure, and the grades arent cause i dont know how to solve and explain things, i look at it and its not that, everything gets harder and when i bring home good grades, my parents are just "good job" and then in a fun tone saying it like its a joke "you could do better haha" and we laugh it off, they arent saying that to hurt, they are saying that as a joke and because them and i know i can do more, but, its starting to really sink in me, recently i got a very bad grade and it was the first time in a long long long time i heard my mom say "dont worry, it happens, its not you, you knew it you just missed this and that" and, it felt so weird, i feel just so...pressured and like a disappointment, and the thoughts of just.... saying bye, i try to forget them and i wouldnt do it cause i know its really dumb doing that, really dumb, but its scary, everything is so.... i cant explain this (im 14 soon to be 15)
ur parents are nice
listen to them
school does get harder as time goes on
its normal
hmm
you should talk abt how you feel to your parents
I think they would be able to help you more than we could

actually??? full arm distance is so far???
idk thats what I've heard
definitely not cs players at least
@orchid wharf
i just feel hard talking about this with them, its hard bringing this subject up
i sit arm distance
very rare times i have to get closer when shooting on very small targets
better than bringing it up 10 years in the future
Once the conversation starts it will be fine. You will be happy you brought it up after. Parents are always there to help
Any should help
The standard circle and right to left bottom to top should be alright
I'm just starting Kovaaks and I feel like the neck area that connects to my shoulder on the side of my aiming arm feels strained from me tensing up...
Is that a posture thing or I just need to learn to chill
ergonomics wise, top of monitor is already level with my eyes when looking completely straight; and desk height allows my elbow to be around 90 degs
how often do you exercise and what kind
not at all... lol
well thats a problem in general, if you dont exercise you will run into body issues eventually
just doing some mild stretches might help for awhile but the problems will come back
I get that, but at the same time this literally happened from doing kovaaks
i think its poor form, similar to how if you do an exercise poorly, you get hurt
go to a physio or take it easy, kovaaks is such a concentrated amount of stress and if you started you are going to injure yourself
oh and you could post pictures of your posture or take a video of yourself while playing
thanks i think i'll do that and see if i do anything weird subconsciously
How to get the motivation to work out
I'm getting more and more unhealthy staying at home and never leaving
"Just do it lol"
Did you know? Increasing arm strength means increasing your potential to aim better!
If you have limp hands, you can't aim to your max potential. Think about it.
what have you tried?
Like, i do some stretching and yoga and some squats and pushups. But only rarely. I can do it for a couple of days and then stop for weeks
And its like starting over everytime
Im not too unhealthy, just accumulating more and more flab in my tummy
General lack of energy

I find caffeine really helps to motivate but dunno if thats a reliable thing
try different sports until something clicks, you wont magically find motivation at home repeating the same thing
also maybe go do some extensive blood testing? vit d, b12, thyroid issues, testosterone
etc
Be consistent with your workout as you are consistent with your aim training. 👀
why tho? What am I looking for
to see if there are causes for your low energy?
oh
never thought about it that way
i just thought its my diet and sleep pattern etc
but yeah
I'll do that ty
theres likely some blood test packages that check on most important stuff
pay a bit for a peace of mind or go on for years with an underlying health issue
What should I do if my wrist and my lower arm hurts after around doing 20-30 min of my 1h aim training every day?
look at pins for some tips, you NEED to do preventative measures or injury is guaranteed at some point (could be permanent/chronic)
visit a physio, exercise
also what people dont seem to realize is 30 mins of pure aim training in kovaaks is more harsh on your hands than like 5x that time ingame
kovaaks has no downtime and its constant mouse movement/control
I thinks that like the biggest problem is that my chair is way to low for my tablet but i cant go higher but to compromise that I have to put my whole arm further on the tablet but then I have to move my monitor further away so I am like not knowing what to do
I have the same problem. I place my entire forearm on the table.
get a proper chair/adjustable table
also monitor arms are quite cheap and they free up so much room on your desk
especially useful for proper for keyboard room
guys my top index finger joint is like weird, it doesnt hurt but its uncomfortable you know? and when i click i just cant click normally i can if i wanted to but that makes me feel uncomfortable.
has ever happened to any of you that your eyes move horizontally fast involuntarily while training your aim/strafing?
for a microsecond
Yesterday I only ate lunch and today I haven’t ate anything and it’s 1:47pm, is that bad?
yes, eat regularly
you need the calories
very, could turn into a eating disorder which is what happened to me a few years ago, and also you wont have as much energy as you normally would if you ate consistent meals
I have bad pain in my whole right arm is that bad if so anyone got Any stretches
I dont have any stretches, you would need for someone else to answer, but definitely chill out and dont play
Take a break and go see a PT/Ortho
After a long gaming session
I get crazy lower back pain
Is this just from sitting too long without movement
Man I'm hoping this BDNF AMA just says aerobic exercise makes you learn faster because I will get straight back into marathon training along with aim training. lol
Make sure you sleep 8 hours if u are a teenager
Is this just general advice? lol
No this is real advice.
The clock is 5.22 am im listening to jazz, dont do that. Go to sleep.
8 hours is good.
Just some general advice for every body that needed it.
Generally yes, especially if you aren't taking breaks to stand up or walk around. But it can depend also on the way you sit as well.
These exercises may also help!

Assuming no obvious injury like jarring your finger or bumping it into something, it could be the joint itself from or the tendons near it which bend/straighten the end of your finger. Probably best to get it assessed if it keeps bothering you to get an accurate answer to what is happening, but general finger stretches are worth trying especially if they reproduce the symptoms.
Try exercise 1 and 2 in this video, but put more emphasis to bend forward or bend back the end of the index finger. https://youtu.be/JoedUZ4OpPY

I usually just shake them for 30-60sec
Is it common for bud to improve the bud couple days after to aim better
Is it common to see your aim improve shortly after smoking bud
As in my wrist day after is fixed almost
Thanks everyone for the advice
