I have but have you?
Carbonated Water, Branched-Chain Amino Acids BCAA (L-Leucine, L-Valine, L-Isoleucine), Caffeine, Green Tea-Extract, Vitamins (Niacin, B6, Folic Acid, Biotin, D, B12), Acidity Regulator (Citric Acid), Flavouring (Pineapple, Grapefruit), Sweetener (Sucralose), Colouring (Betacarotene).
look every single one of these up and tell me how bad they are
as long as its in moderation good quality energy drinks are healthy
^
What energy drink are you drinking?
nocco or puhdistamo and sometimes white monster
What do you consider moderation?
what you can handle well
I can handle six to eight cans of beer a night. Should I?

this would be hard to explain fully but what I do with energy drinks and caffeine is that I drink the amount that I can fully recover the next day so that I don't fall into caffeine addiction but still get the benefits of caffeine
this is depends a lot person to person
I also don't drink any caffeine in most weekends
my 2 points are that 1 energy drinks are equally good sources of caffeine as tea and coffee and 2 coffee is healthy as long as you don't abuse it
aye man as long as you're responsible and you look after your own health i can respect it
@spice berry apologies for coming off a bit rash, you made some good points
when i hear energy drink my mind automatically defaults to red bull or monster, and honestly i think "this is shit, why would i ever put this into my body" you feel me
but i suppose there are "good" energy drinks especially as long as you don't abuse it
look even at something like redbull there is literally nothing wrong with the ingredients
27g sugars.
wow you are so smart it amazes me
Evidently.
27g of sugar is insane tbh
are you genuinely stupid or trying to piss me off?
why would literally anything anyone has to say that's trying to help you out piss you off
lol
plus why are you even shit talking me, what did i even do
are you serious?
blank
what did i do
because i'm agreeing with the other guy that "pissed you off" i pissed you off as well?
lmfao
no
no I'm just wondering if you are serious
serious with what
the 27g of sugar comment?
instead of belittling me how about actually proving me wrong
then we can figure shit out
not sure what this approach's outcome is supposed to be
i'm guessing you called me stupid since i didn't bother to search up the shit you listed; its sugar free, you could have said this from the beginning
which is good and all, and like i said, as long as you're doing it in moderation, then that's also a plus
but i was agreeing with X I I I since i wouldn't doubt energy drinks could contain that much sugar in one single can
not like i'd give a shit regardless, don't plan on using energy drinks at any point now
can you either think before you say something or not say anything at all
god bless bro thank you for contributing to this discussion
If you're not looking to be challenged, perhaps an energy drink forum is what you're looking for, not a health channel.
how am I even being challenged?
Its quite simple. The fact that a redbull has 27g of sugar is irrelevant because there is a 0 sugar version of it + some people choose to use sugar as a stimulant.
That does not exempt the fact that using that much sugar as a stimulant is beneficial, long-term.
Is not, rather.
That's more than half the recommended intake for an adult male.
In liquid form, no less, as an additive. You can obtain a healthy dose of sugar in fruits which have a better digestive process.
shut the fuck up please
you're being challenged because for starters there are many other ways you can gain more energy throughout your day naturally instead of using energy drinks, yet i'm not looking to judge you for using them because you're smart enough to use them to your benefit, not to abuse them, its a health channel for a reason bro
and yet there you go again
literally no one is attacking you
or talking shit to you
"omg fruits bad i no like fruit or anything of the sort!!!"
What I gather is you have a habit/lifestyle choice you love, look forward to, or otherwise indulge on strongly, and having something you perceive as negative spoken on it is upsetting you.
is what i'm getting from this
@graceful pine wrong
There is no reason I can think of why you're taking it personal or being hostile.
I have to do something brb in 40 minutes
I recommend box breathing. It'll help alleviate stress and settle you down in the heat of a moment.
dude's incredibly negative and hostile for no reason, nice!
gotta love to see it but that's just life
there is a reason you are just too ignorant to notice it
I'm about to abandon my cs match so I can argue with some troglodytes
I mean, it is CS, so nothing lost in the process.
you're tilting from a cs match meanwhile you're seething at the teeth from "discussing" a topic that shouldn't piss you off to begin with
You shouldn't have focused mid, bro.
it isn't about the topic its the way you 2 approach the topic
It's all right. Losing means you have more to learn.
nah bro its about the fact that you simply could have educated us instead of belittling us on the topic since you know so much about right bro
i'm not mad at all, i'm quite enjoying this myself
keep derailing the argument you are doing a good job đ
what argument
the focus is now on you being an ignorant dumbfuck for no reason at all lol
No need to clap back, mzry. Let him have his moment.
I've never seen someone this upset over energy drink talk before. For the record, I enjoy them myself, although haven't had one in a few months.
he's mad at the fact that we "approached" the topic wrong, as if that's a valid reason to be toxic and not expect me or anyone else that could be in this discussion with any common sense to retaliate
Having one a week probably isn't detrimental provided your normal drinking and eating is healthy and you are at most briskly active.
I'm upset about your ignorance, do you want to get your ignorance proved?
But one a week does not matter if the rest of your diet consists of candy and the like.
you're pretty ignorant yourself for talking shit like a child for, again, zero valid reason
throwing a tantrum because someone challenged your way of consuming energy per day
@graceful pine you are just spitting irrelevant facts to make yourself smart nobody is disagreeing
What.
what
@violet swan you say 0 reason but have you looked at what you have said?
can someone fill me in
look up in the chat to get context
^^
đ¤
As I recall, I've said Red Bull has 27g of sugar, and that's more than half the recommended value you should have daily according to the American Heart Association.
what is the point of saying that?
Apparently because Red Bull has a zero sugar option, this means energy drinks are perfectly healthy in moderation.
and he's arguing that since he listed zero-sugar versions of energy drinks he immediately thinks because someone else is trying to give him advice and is lacking knowledge in a topic he can come and be as toxic as he pleases
Now you are twisting my words, smart move.
what even is your stance
Rage.
violence even
Incoherent rage.
seething, if you're so inclined
My point was that the sugar isn't inherently a bad ingredient.
Malding, for the eSports aficionado.
he's currently tilting because of some random cs match he's gaining nothing from and deciding that he can go about taking it out on people lol
Can we try to agree on one thing?
besides that, sure lets hear it bro
everything said after this message has been purely for entertainment, moral superiority and to piss off each other. Can we agree on that one thing?
No.
I had no intention of pissing you off.
Nor do I care to have the moral high ground over... energy drinks.
i also had zero intention of "superiority", that's an idea, a figment of your mental, that you somehow convinced yourself of
here we go again
what.
bro
i'm gonna ask you straight up right now
i expect you to give me a good answer now so don't disappoint
where in my string of messages did i ever show a sign of "wanting to be superior" to you
that is not my intention whenever i talk in this chat, i try and help people because it also helps me learn too, to hear what others have to say
that is literally what this entire discord is for
are you trying to help me right now or are you trying to prove that you are the better person?
if you cared the slightest about me you would have just stopped typing ages ago
I might be an asshole but at least I'm trying to be honest in what I say
I've been honest.
yeah true
Hey, there's something we agree on. We found it.
Anyway, gonna bounce. Try Adrenaline Shoc. That's my favorite energy drink.
brilliant take
And that's what I would've said if I wanted to piss you off, lmao. See ya' later.
@graceful pine you are a genuine garbage human being, doesn't matter if you are doing it consciously or unconsciously but I hope you will realize is someday
Thatâs pepega thinking considering you talked to them for like 10 minutes online ngl
Holy shit bro, it's a fucking energy drink, calm down.
what the FUCK LOL
bro i came back a few minutes ago to see it was resolved
Iâve known you for 10 minutes and I disagree with you therefor you are a trash person
then he just comes back with a fucking punch
Think a bit harder my guy
Heâs just too passionate about energy drinks for us to understand. Thatâs why heâs a saint and weâre trash humans

I don't understand why you refuse to accept that my disappointment has nothing to do with energy drinks? Pure stupidity?
i don't understand why you must constantly be aggressive towards me and others because of your strong stance on energy drinks? pure insecure rage?
I have no idea what youâre talking about. Iâm just making fun of you

literally no one cares that you're drinking energy drinks to cover the fact that you most likely have horrible health habits
@violet swan man at least you are honest
10 Red Bullâs a day keeps heart attacks away đ§˘
and that isn't to say everyone who drinks anything like energy drinks has shitty health habits, but you in particular
you're a special case indeed
đ
There is no good argument for energy drinks.
Like literally none. Coffee/strong tea have the same affect but are much healthier for you
@violet swan at the end of the day, like i've said for the nth time, if you're responsible it could probably benefit you
Nah
Energy drinks hold 0 benefits overall
but as i also said, which was the INITIAL POINT I WAS TRYING TO MAKE, was that there are very much better alternatives
Even in moderation
which is why i avoid drinking it
@violet swan you are objectively and factually incorrect
Hey man you can keep downing monsters and Red Bullâs into yourself
Idgaf about your health lol
as a matter of fact you should be thankful there are people who do give a fuck about your health indirectly anyway
If youâre getting a standard 8 hours of sleep you shouldnât need energy drinks anyway
Then again at this point your body is dependent on them cause you drink so many of them
Similar with coffee tbh because many people are caffeine dependent, but coffee is good for you in moderation unlike energy drinks since they have a bunch of chemicals that arenât good for you
That just comes down to preference and situation
the thing with tea is that there is so much nuance to it its hard to get started
I don't drink tea so I don't actually know but to me it seems that there is an insane amount of different teas for different things so its hard for a new tea drinkers to get the best one and I assume there is different ways to brew it too
I don't think getting just some random tea bags from a grocery store is the pinnacle of the tea drinking experience whereas you can just get an energy drink and that's that
Green tea is all you need
buy an arizona
itâll change ur life
@spice berry
but it taste good
my generics are op its ok
iâll just drink my unhealthy green tea
If I'm ever going to start drinking tea I'm going to do a tea ritual
otherwise I prefer carbonated drinks and I have never seen carbonated tea
do a ritual listening to anime ops
^
if you aren't listening to the oral cigarettes while flying at maximum speed in an fps game what are you really doing
bro you are acting like if i have a redbull im going to fucking explode, like hop off. There is nothing wrong with drinking energy drinks, I myself dont like the taste of coffee so i prefer energy drinks
and im literally active everyday and in the average weight class
yeah like no ones gonna douse 3 redbulls in a sitting
Energy drinks donât necessarily influence your weight. Weight is different. I have a bunch of friends which eat twice as much as me, are as thin as sticks, yet they have a bunch of vitamin deficiencies
And if you drink enough of them then yes they really can affect you
Is it better to completely avoid energy drinks? Yes. Will it kill you? Nah prob not unless you drink like 5 a day
Are you talking about caffeine in general or just energy drinks?
Energy drinks. Mostly. You shouldnât drink too much caffeine either. Problem is, most energy drinks have more than just caffeine in them
Yea absolutely. Look up some of the shit thatâs in some of those drinks
I have tried and I couldnt find anything bad about them
everything is bad if you take it too much
yes
even kovaaks
2 energy drinks is prob already more caffeine than anyone should have ina. Day
it depends on the energy drink
I used to drink 800mg of caffeine a day for 3 months straight once and I was fine
You should have kept it up. Would have been interesting what your health would be at today
how does that mean it's not unhealthy
literally has nothing to do
xd
like
wow look i drank a lot of caffeine
although its impossible for me to know by myself, i can confirm that nothing bad happened to my health!!!!!!!

Dies of heart failure at 30
Lets see
Healthiest thing is to open a Red Bull then mix it in with a coke and chug
Trust

You can fly with Red Bull though
no
Obviously
Everyone will die
Everything you do is slowly killing you

Is it weird that coffee makes me feel relaxed instead of energetic?
happens to some people
some people have a totally paradoxical reaction to caffeine where it makes them feel exhausted as well
it's also more likely if you drink a lot of coffee
@graceful pine

a message for everyone

Heya in aim training I've developed pushing my wrist really hard into my pad because quite a bit of tension going on. and needing to anchor my elbow into my arm rest in intense tracking because of the tension in there.
I'd be willing to bet its a posture issue just not sure where to start
what is bad about caffeine?
Too much caffeine may also promote headaches, migraine, and high blood pressure in some individuals
just take in it in moderation
Just don't think you need it all the time
What is the most neutral and healthfully way to keep your keyboard? would this just be personal preference. Or can just have your keyboard in any position?
i like my keyboard at a slight angle when gaming and completely horizontal when doing general typing
^
is it me or i just play better at night?
You are most likely relaxed during the nights you play
just remember not to play too late
what is wrong with what i said xd
?
just asking if works as cofee
you shouldn't be waking up with coffee
xd
coffee*
why
like
idk how to say that in english
sisisi
te entiendo
jajaj
to turn on and get in 100% mode xd
i wanted to say that in spanish but the rules say we can only talk spanish in es-chat i think
pero necesitar cafĂŠ para levantarte no es bueno
im not saying that
i can turn on without coffee
then do it
but im asking if works alright
without coffee
im not sure about that
i can do it, but my question if it works so i will turn on faster and better
i saw how to turn on exercising and eating brocoli but im trying to find another ways too
gn
thats the thing
if you rely too much on coffee you p much can't function without it
(after a while ofc)
gn
just a bit not a big cup
how do i deal with wrist pain
Stretching and breaks, there's tons of resources on youtube. If it gets worse and you see inflammation or whatever you can try applying cold / warmth alternating to ease up on it. Source: Have had a fucked up wrist for like 10 years
yo recently ive started experiencing a pain in my elbow how do i deal with this ? any stretches or something ?
Straight arm, pointing forward put your hand up and pull your palm / fingers towards you
You should feel it in your forearm
that should work ?
I mean, it helps
Also hand pronation (Just stretch out and rotate hand) can help a bit
Just repeat it, if it hurts do it slowly and keep it to the point where it only hurts a little bit
Maybe working out a bit could help ya, I've had fucked up joints my whole life and strength training has helped ease up my pain
i do workout but now i need to stop cuz of covid
but yeah ill do some strength training
heard that coffee is a hoe
Soo
My vision in my left eye is good at all distance
The vision in my right eye is only good up close and bad further than a meter away or so
But when I pull the skin to the sides of my right eye, it can see things further away clearly as well
Is there a good way to improve my right eyeâs further-away vision without having to pull the skin around it?
That's a good question for an optometrist, and they'd have to examine you to give you a good answer
I've got pretty bad eyesight, and part of my issue is astigmatism, which basically means the lens of my eye is shaped like a football instead of a circle, so the way my brain picks up images is warped. Super common, lots of people have it, they just have to account for it when they do my glasses/contacts prescriptions.
I wouldn't have known any of those things without getting to see an optometrist, though, so I'd recommend finding one near you
Ow. Does it fix it for you when you pull the skin next to your eyes?
It doesn't hurt at all! It's just a normal anatomical variation of the eye.
And no, but my vision is really bad. I'm not going to see anything clearly without a pretty significant prescription.
I've got two things going on--nearsightedness, and astigmatism.
The astigmatism makes the nearsightedness a little worse
đ
But I'd still be nearsighted whether or not I had an astigmatism
I can find a ton about other eye conditions tho, but not much about pulling skin besides ur eyes boosting vision
Which is why I asked here
Right, but we don't have any eye experts in chat, which is why I'm saying an optometrist is the only person who can give you a good answer or an accurate diagnosis.
makes sense
you play worse after nutting bro
noticed that lol, but there is like a 10 min period where i do god like lol
blueberries everyday improves reaction time
why is that the case
doesn't nutting relax your body or something
depends on person to person
lol
have alot of pain above/behind the collar bone lower scapula and mid thorrasic reigion
any ideas what could be causing all 3 of these areas to be hot spots?
I have never had issues with pain while gaming but now today i have had pain in my shoulder on my mouse arm
at the start of the bicep
weird question to ask but does everyone here thinks that testosterone is a important part of gaming??

You need
uhhh I've seen random people on twitter say that testosterone does make you a bit more competitive
So maybe?
At least in the top tiers, like idk
I got 0 source for that though
is there any tips for minor pain on the right side of my wrist where the hand meets the wrist
i think i got it from violently flicking
@sonic tangle you probably also got it from tensing too
true
i came from qck and playing on hien now and i feel like i overflick when playing relaxed so to compensate for the low stopping power i tense my arm/wrist
very bad habit
my wirst actually doesnt feel great now on 4th day of playing kovaaks. it kind of feels like when you rekt your muscles after a workout
should I chill a bit and let the muscle relax
I feel like whenever I do daily aim training, I get worse by the day and when I take a break and come back my aim is better
depends on how long you do it
Any tips on combating the afternoon slump?
When I comeback from school or when online class are over, my brain just go doo doo
are you drinking enough WaterÂŽ
instead of taking a nap then make sure you're staying hydrated right
and walk around for like 30 minutes
see how you feel then
@upper folio the nap shouldnt be over 30min
Yeah 20 min naps are really good for getting a refreshed feeling. If you're napping to catch up on poor sleep then make sure to nap for 90 mins so you get a full sleep cycle. If you cut it early or over do it then you'll wake up in the middle of the sleep cycle and you'll feel drowsy
my elbow started hurting a lot since 2 days is it cuz i plant my elbow when gaming or is it something else ?
How do you start your morning ? (breakfast, morning routines, etc, ...)
Do you put pressure on it ?
idk tbh
i might be doing that
Maybe, if you aren't used to this type of position keep a balance between your natural position and your new position
It's call overcompensation phenomenon
what should I do
@golden bronze if you're hurt take a short break
it seems ok I just cant push much
so am I only supposed to train every 2nd day
That's depend how do you feel
If you feel tired, you don't want to train, take a short break, if you feel right go for train.
If you feel pain, take a long break, it's means that your not well.
I def dont feel like when it is normal, but I have only really done things for like 3 days
And to avoid inflammation, eat vegetables they will to help to render you PH neutral
Are you beginner in aim training ?
wouldnt say complete noob, I have around 50 hours from before
How much time do you spend in your aim session ?
1-2 hours on avg
1 hour per day is enough, try to keep it and don't over train.
Like I said take breaks and you'll see results.
You can have stiffness that a normal process of build muscle.
alright thank you very much man appreciate the help
You're welcome ;)

every single time i play kovaaks for more than 30 min my arm joint hurts so bad
is resting my arm on my desk after playing alot harmful ?
@tropic talon As long as the edge of your desk isn't cutting into your forearm I'd say it's ok. To keep that from happening just make sure your arm rests are high enough so they are level with your desk.
@violet swan You likely have decreased endurance of the muscles of your forearm. Depending on where the pain is will change what exercises you should do to build up those muscles! https://www.1-hp.org/blog/hpforgamers/everything-you-need-for-hand-wrist-pain-in-fortnite-health-expert-guide/
Helloooooo guys. Iâm Matt. Iâm a Doctor of Physical Therapy and I work with pro esports teams. Also⌠iâm the goat apparently for gamers therapy. Yeah â thank Psalm and friends. So earlier this year [2020] I sent out a questionnaire (if you havenât filled it out â here it is) to the fortnite community...
I think my main problem was being to passive with how much I stretched. I started to implement them morning, before work, after dinner. 3x30s, whereas I was only doing a rep of each on wake and before bed. I was worried about stretching too much but it seems I needed to be more aggressive.
is it just me or the day after a work out when my body starts to ache, u start to play badly
Would small naps help before a big tournament or would that make u sluggish when you play?
depends how much before
Hi, could someone with extensive knowledge about supplementation and or pharmacology dm me
Thats very dependent from person to person
For me, I like getting up early and getting some games in, then I take a nap around 2h before the match and warm up / get ready for around an hoye
Would you get more energy out of the entire length of the match?
i would say sleep until like an hour before if you need it yeah
you need time to warm up
i would do isolated mechanics warmup and then actual practice ingame
wtf
I'm getting a wird pain sensation on the backside of my hand
Never had this before
as if it's stinging
wtf is that
ask some 1HP guy or go to a doctor real fast I guess
been on pc all day, although only kovaak for 20 min
I think doctor is a good idea
slight? That looks awful
wdym?
in the pic
it's not possible to see
ugh
and also across the left side of my forearm
bruh wtf
its not possible to see? What is that line on your hand than?
that's just shadow hihi
really?
Lol my eyes are tricking me
ok than its better then I thought đ
Still, if it hurts go to a doctor
That's just from tensing too much
I dont even see whats abnormal in the picture, am i blind?
I really tried to not tense today
like really not
nothing
first pic was just to explain where I was feeling the stinging
oh okay I see
man, why does this have to happen:(
I did stretching for a long time, and then I just slacked for a fairly long period where I also played less kovaak
please be careful, hand and wrist problems are fucking aweful
yea
that's the one I did usually
but haven't done it in probably 3 months
since I played other stuff and just lacked
I'll do the stretches now tho
did stretches yesterday, after completing my session, but now this
Could've over stretched
I wouldn't worry about it unless you're in pain for over a week and it's bad
just do the mobility before, stretching before is bad @rough wigeon
he says that somewhere in the doc
yea
It's still stretching, but dynamic. I guess mobility is stretching.. you get what I'm saying:)
did the whole after stretch
How much of a difference is it? Chilling in a shitty office chair atm
My back feels so much better
It forces you to sit up straight while still being comfortable
I donât nerd neck anymore
And I have proper posture
I'd imagine it makes a significant difference in how you perform over longer time
I experience a lot of back stiffness, as well as bad posture every now and then
@violet swan I was thinking about buying one a couple months ago, but I decided not to, because I wasn't sure on what to buy because of the range of options as well as prices. Could you link me the one you got?
If youâre addicted to something whatâs the best way to stop doing it completely
Itâs hard with video games. I wanna quit them permanently. I donât like them, they fuck with my mental health, and they destroy my social life as well as my school life. But no matter how hard I try, I keep coming back to it.
?
if you don't like them just quit
there's no path to take
unless you're actually bordering on addiction and you can't see yourself quitting or something like that
ease off
or have another addiction
alot of people choose exercise to get away from addictions
Hey Rypics, stinging pain can be really alarming so I'm glad you reached out for some help. Without more information I can't give you specific advice but from what you're describing I would want you to double check your ergonomics when holding a mouse as per this guide here: https://www.1-hp.org/blog/hpforgamers/esports-health-it-starts-with-ergonomics-and-posture/
Basically make sure your middle finger lines up with your elbow from the side and top when you are in your neutral/home position holding the mouse.
Like other people have mentioned some stretching is a great idea!
The first half of this video is a great place to start:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoedUZ4OpPY
Then to keep this from coming back you likely need some strengthening/conditioning to build up your capacity. That would be the second half of the video.

Thank you so much:) I'll take a look
You are very welcome!
First thing to note is that you have to fill that free time with something else. Also you'll have to negotiate with yourself without being a tyrant. It's almost impossible to force yourself to do things over time that you don't like to do, so negotiating is essential. Give yourself a reward after doing something "good", not something that makes you happy. And rather than stopping playing games, you'll have to cut it down. Stopping an addiction instantly will make the body crave it, so depending on how severe it is you'll have to fill that time with something else.
@thorn matrix I injured my wrist and donât really know why - it just started hurting whenever I rotate the wrist (ie rotating around the same axis my arm is on). Itâs also slightly tighter in my wrist about a handâs width down from the intersection of wrist and hand.
It all came on pretty suddenly during the afternoon a few days ago, 24 hrs distant from any aim training, and I suspect I maybe landed a bit too heavily on it at some point. Have put on a splint and itâs been recovering nicely enough over four days .
How long should I wait before training again? I had a quick go tonight and swiftly regretted it: my performance was bad and I now have increased tightness. Back to the splint, I guess.
@plucky otter You landed on it? Wym
How long will it take for my body to get used to me working night shift. Day 2 rn and still feeling a lil sleepy
body clock uses light to tell if its day or night, so you probably will always have slight problems, I have no idea tho, maybe some 1hp person can answer
I hope its not a big of an issue. Its my 2nd day out of the 28days i have to work
I honestly dont know, ae we allowed to ping the 1hp guys? @flat citrus
Im not sure. I think ill just wait for their response instead of pinging. Dont want it seeming i want a response immediately
Honestly it takes a couple weeks for me to adjust. Every 3 months I switch to nights or days.
Was it tiring for your body the first week?
For the first few days yeah
I have blackout curtains in the bedroom though
That helped with being able to fall asleep. But I still had issues with quality of sleep and how much for a week or so
Ah i see
Prob ending this job on 16apr so hopefuly i can push through
Thank you for the reassurance
You're welcome
my wrist gets tired when doing routines. Usually my wrist doesn't currently hurt I was just wondering if there is any way to not have wrist tiredness.
Like maybe put my hand out to stop a fall and landed on it, or something like that. I donât remember this happening but itâs entirely possible.
Theyâve previously encouraged people to ping them so they know to check the chat. If thatâs changed (and it may have) itâs news to me.
oh okay ty @plucky otter
ordered one today:D
Thank
You

You guys can ping us!
I'm not sure if our sleep psych is in here though
@plucky otter seems like tendon pain more likely
@plucky otter I'd gradually increase your play time
So start training at 15 min
I think it would be good to pin that, could you do that?
And next day if you don't have any pain up the time by 15 min
@ladan don't think I have pin perms
@arctic moat can you pin this?
gave u pin perms
tyy sini
Thanks mate. I twinged it and am back to it hurting again now, so will take a few days off and then ease back again.
Slightly frustrating but what are you going to do?
Y'all ever feel tricep tendons sore?
Not tennis elbow! Instead like on my triceps near elbow - happens more when grinding static clicks
It goes away for me with rest ice... But sometimes comes back
My question is it's indicative of bad form... Or more of a natural expected effect of grinding aim training more (like how you feel more sore as a beginner benching for the first time in awhile vs. when you are in the rhythm of working out and doing it for the 50th time)
I've personally never had elbow pains from aiming
Or triceps tendon
It may be a symptom of poor arm positioning
Imma see if it persists in like a week or so, I haven't worked out during pandemic so I know my arms are soft lol
Wouldn't surprise me if I'm just getting sore over spamming clicks in routines o.o
Cause regarding setup, I've tried a bunch of things hoping what I got is good so far (5'10", have a height adjust desk so I try to make desk height so my elbow is like 90 degree [27in], I kinda sit at like a 30-45 degree angle where more of my right arm/forearm can be put on the desk, I play low sens 40-50cm)
My wrist cracks when turning it, or using my mouse.
is this normal?
@dusty frigate it's maybe a Tendinitis
@deft radish if it's reccuring and it's painful that's not normal
My wrist always hurts even if im not playing should i go see a doctor also my thumb spazzes sometimes
im no expert on health but if ur thumb is spazzing in my opinion i would definetly go
anyone have a lifting guide to stregthen traps that are engaged by xy aiming?
@violet swan doesnt hurt just annoying happens every time I move my wrist to the right
Is it normal for the side and bottom but mainly side of my foot to hurt really badly with ski boots on. I can barely feel it, itâs kinda puffed up, also numb
when i used to ski my feet would hurt badly normally just means you need new size of boot..
or mabye not wearing right socks or smthn
Iâm wearing ski socks
My feet are wide
So idk
Would stretches help with my arm being stiff after playing for along time?
stretching is great
I have pain around the supraspinatus/rhomboids area
Only the left side as someone right handed
I'm trying as best I can to have good posture but I think it's too late
Can't train for more than 10 minutes
So I have to really give effort on relaxing my aim
It helps
But my aim isn't the most precise
I think I have to relearn how to aim
anyone have a recommendation for a good standing desk?
do you want it convertable into a sitting one?
for the kastor wrist stretches, should I do them with both arms'
I set my kovaak's background and UI to be completely blueless. Are there any other steps I can take to make aiming sessions easier on my eyes?
does redbull help you improve cuz it says ure more focused
just drink coffee
Does gamer fuel (gfuel) help me game better!? Thanks guys gamer out!
it depends
guys what miracle substances can I take to become aim god
iodine
good nutrition
is there an exercise or stretching for spasm? I can't do Floating Heads Timing 400% because my wrist suddenly shake or move
Gfuel
best i can do is three cups of coffee in the morning, two red bulls at lunch, a five hour energy in the afternoon.
Do you want to die
Wtf
I have a good one
Try three shots of espresso in cold brew
Then three teas
And gfuel
As a person who has sleeped on their stomach their whole life is it worth it to âlearnâ how to sleep on my back?
should i be laying my back on my chair or no
Just wondering is it normal for your pinky to hurt while aim training, because I randomly get pinky pain
Lmfao you gonna have a heart attack before you reach 30
Unless you already are 30
I am immortal, child.
As you know, red bull indeed renders unto the drinker, wings.
I exist in a realm from which you couldn't possibly understand.
my chair tilts back tho
if youre not totally 90° its fine as long as youre straight enough
ok so i have had this problem for a while and its one of the main things that puts me off aim kovaaks
whenever i do my cod routine
on it
my hand aches
like i get pains in my hand and im not sure what im doing thats making this happen.. it never happens when i play games normally only on kovaaks
its in my pinky finger and whatever the other one next to it is called, as far as i know im not gripping my mouse different than when i play call of duty (claw grip) and not applying and extra pressure or anything
Do the last two stretches shown in Kastor's routine pinned here, 3x30s lumbrical stretch, and 5x5s using your opposite fingers to stretch aside each finger ex. index and middle, middle and ring, etc.
They help a lot with hand pain.
Tight muscles from use/overuse can suck.
Thank you
So much
Now hopefully I can actually aim train
And get more than 5 hours on kovaaks -_-
Take steady breaks. I'd say do one stretch after every scenario. Then when you're done, do them all to relax your tendons.
Anyone know why looking up in any first person game at all hurts my neck irl. I dont move my head at all.
It's not even like its ages though
It's literally as soon as I start playing
I can barley complete the playlist once without being in alot of pain
Depends on how overused you are. I stopped doing wrist workouts and focused on stretching and downtime. At least in my case, it helped a lot, but I definitely have a ways to go. If you want the brute force method, find something to binge and take a break from gaming, making stretching your hobby. I can't speak beyond personal circumstance and experience though, and what you might be feeling may not sync.
any way to make my hand less sore
Ok today I will starts with stretching and then after I finish each scenario
i always do stretches before i play
and stretches in the morning
in the morning i stretch pretty much everything including my hands
I have really shaky aim and hands, and even though i play on 47.23 cm/360 i still feel it in game and its effecting my tracking really badly and I have no clue what the cause is
I switched to an artisan hien xl soft a month ago but i should be used to it by now so i doubt thats the cause
do you drink a lot of caffeine or do have heart or underlying health issues?
low blood sugar?
do you smoke?
no caffeine no low blood sugar no i dont smoke
ive had shaky hands but its never effected my aim
hm
i think it might be my switch to the hien, but its been a month so i sbhould be used to it by now right?>
yeah probably
@violet swan Forgot to add that I recommend doing Kastor's thumb stretches, too. Imo those are extremely important as your thumb is a large part of hand function. They've helped the most for me but I do a lot of controller play ex. dmc/nioh, so you may be different.
is 120mg caffeine a lot?
I had an Aftershock (300mg caff) on am empty stomach this morning and I'm not doing that again lmao.
ok so
before i do my kovaaks routine
i need to do
kastors thumb stretches and that's it?
Do them as you need. Don't slack on them is all I'm saying. Listen to your muscles and stretch when apt.
bro
lmfaoo
i did the neck streching thing
at the end
legit sounded like gunshot
well... thats a bit of a exaggeration but clicked loud af
i did the stretches and im still experiencing alot of pain in my far right two fingers
It will take a few days, bro. Be consistent in the morning, lunch, before bed, with smaller shorter stretches at random.
A week ago I couldn't play for long or at all without tense muscles but I took a break and kept to it. My advice still is to avoid working them out until you feel completely normal and can play for a duration without a burning sensation.
Tbh I'd stay away from Kovaaks if you're having that much trouble. Aim training is moderate to intense depending on the scenario and speed. I'd either stick to whatever game you're playing or do something more casual on a gamepad.
Make sure the top of your monitor is at eye level. You could be subconsciously moving your head to let your eyes get to the position you want
There are two things at work here. How much capacity your hands have to do work and how much work you are asking of them. If you can build up your capacity then you can do more work. While this is happening we generally look at ergonomics and scheduling to reduce pain in the meantime.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoedUZ4OpPY is how you can build up some capacity.
For ergonomics your middle finger should make a straight line to your elbow with the length of the mouse trying to parallel that line
Scheduling wise we recommend at least a 5 minute break every 30 minutes. Just stand up, do some stretches then you can dive back in

Holding long stretches are better for after kovaaks and a more dynamic warm-up like this is a great way to prepare your hands before kovaaks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsyUH4OIk2w&t=3s
I am not sure in your picture if you are palm up or down which makes some of the recommendations different. I would start with making sure your mouse and your middle finger can make a straight line to your elbow from the top and the side when you are in neutral. Then, build up some more capacity with a routine like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoedUZ4OpPY

what are the causes of a tight wrist during a session? every 30 mins during a session my mouse wrist tightens up and it feels better if i just shake/wiggle my hand. guessing i just need to do some dynamic stretches before a session but that tight/locked wrist feeling is really weird
Check out this thread: https://twitter.com/CaitMcGeePT/status/1371802826477871106
@denisCSGO @HPforGamers @JkchungDc Last but not least, I'd recommend some of our videos on managing common pain patterns in gaming! They're all available here: https://t.co/3h2RsHSHEi
anyone know what couldbe causing my middle finger pain?
Whenever I move my wrist there is a snapping sound. Does anyone know the issue? I donât any pain nor does feel numb.
Tendons sliding over bone irregularities can do that
They very briefly get stuck and snap back into place making noise
If that's the case it's not typically harmful, just noisy
Hey uhm, I am trying to get used to a new mouse grip (claw) and I am experiencing some pain in my ring finger and pinky since I am used to flat fingering them and now I am curling both
The pain in my ring finger is towards the top and its because of the pressure of my nail into the skin. On the other hand, the pain in my pinky is due to the curle I make
Raise ur chair
Pike pushups / handstands perhaps
does masturbating make u play worse?
are you gonna no nut if I say yes?
already done đŚ
ahahah
but im serious
no it doesn't
it does make you more tired
can anyone recommend any gaming chairs which are comfortable and good for posture
Don't get gaming chairs, get ergonomic chairs
i have slowly increasing pain in the base of my right thumb is this something caused by mouse usage or is it something else most likely ?
it might also bc i was doing a lot of pushups recently
and if i strech it it just hurts more
@vale iron it's normal
When you doing your workout you destroy you muscle to build it more, when you stretch it, you increase micro-injuries
So it's better to avoid stretch immediately after your workout
External rotator cuff
Lateral raise, rear delt, shoulder press
My middle and index finger hurt really badly i cant even bend them should i just take a break from playing today?
yes
What are you even talking about
Your fingers wont hurt from working out
are you fucking dumb
He's not building muscles
its RSI
Its pretty common for people who have lesser RSI
to have their fingers hurt
when they lift or do anything with weights
because the finger is extending
its not "normal" not good
don't be agressive
Youre telling someone rsi is okay and normal
Why so aggressive tho? It was a mistake
Chill dude
i think i know what its from
the spot that hurts is exactly where my hand rests on the table when im using my mouse (i have big hand)
where exactly ?
@vale iron
that's the metacarpal joint who are connected to carpal bones, here :/
ye ik
I hope you'll don't have thumb arthritis
its only really been an issue since i started working out more at home (pushups and pullups mostly)
i think i should try to use a mouse that fits my hand better tbh
what do u think ?
maybe, if the pain has increase since you do push up, it can be the pressure on the hand
but yeah i think a good mouse who fit you well may be reduce the pain
do you feel pain when you move you thumb like that ?
ok
should i sent a pic of my hand on my mouse bc i really dont know if my grip is bad for me or not
yeap đ
can you put you hand flat on the table ?
yep I fact i dont know if it's the median nerve who is compressed or if your alignement Carpometacarpal joints isn't good
ok i see
do you have any tingling in your fingers ?
nope
if you don't have any pain when you move your thumb that's not the joint but maybe more the median nerve, that's my point of view
i got some experience in chiropractic and id also guess its the nerve
my question is: is the mouse too small for my hand ?
maybe bc you thumb should be align with you radius
what does that mean ?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmKoyWwenQY look his thumb
In this video we share some tips & techniques to consider when gripping your mouse to ensure that you've got the right position down when playing FPS games. As everyone's hand size, mouse shape & sensitivity are different your mouse grip should be personalized to yourself & that's why we run through all the different scenarios to help you on the...
it's your 1er metacarpal bone who is not align
id guess thats bad, is it ?
yeap
but you can fix it
in fact bad position can compress nerve so try to treat you nerve then fixing your position
i think getting a better position will treat my nerve
maybe but if you feel pain in after several days and you can't fix it go to see a physiotherapist
changing you mouse or changing the back of the mouse if you have different top back grip
or you can change grip too but not really recommanded, it's depend on you
you said that : when you stretch you thumb you have pain so for me it's really the nerve
i remember the g402 feeling really well so i might give it a shot
maybe the push-ups made it
yea try
i really recommand you to see a physiotherapist he could see the cause and the exact location where the nerve is block
thx for the help
you're welcome
How to improve focus at night?
I didn't play any thing at day time but when night time i can't focus any targets
@clever onyx go to bed and dont play at night
My biggest difficulty is my hands, for some reason no matter if i just wake up or if i'm up for a while I get on my pc and try and hold my mouse and my right hand feels like i have no grip strength. Its happened for a while and idk what I could do to fix it. I feel like when i can barely grab my mouse if i dont sit and warm up for a while then its comfortable. Is there anything I could use to loosen my hand up or get more grip strength?
I had this problem and it makes aiming or high-precision inputs a nightmare. 1HP has solid exercises to build strength back up.
Are there any stretches that can be done quickly for my right foreman and right hand in general to keep it loose
Any recommendations on a good chair thats adjustable and comfortable? Iâve been using this one for about a year now and while its been far better then the gaming chair I used to have it still isnât as comfortable as Iâd like it to be.

@robust parrot do you feel any pain when you stretch your forearm ? Or any electrical choc ?
The vien is responsible of blood supply
Nerve control the contraction of your muscle and send information
For me it's your nerve who's compressed that usual
Yeah i think it's that, consult a Physiotherapist he can help you
Changing you sitting position can help you too
Yep
Also repetitives movements can provoque that
Yeap it's maybe the reason you have this
you're welcome
it's a pleasure to help
My work has paid a yoga instructor for us at home office via teams. It's not for me tho, however the instructor is đ So I stick through it.
I've planned a really long hill intervall today, I'll do max 4 rounds, but it's pretty long, should be good training for me to beat my record up a nearby mountain though.
does anyone have any idea what might be causing this sudden tremor i have in my right hand
i started getting it like 2 days ago
my aim became really shaky
How long did you start aim training ?
like how long i've been training for?
Yes
no
i just feel some pressure on my arm
but like the lower part of the arm
i can't really explain it well sorry
yes, pretty much below the elbow
it feels like some tiny tiny pressure is on my arm
but it's really annoying since i am usually calm and relaxed when i aim
Try to reduce the pressure on the elbow when you play or train
I think it's normal
Anterior and posterior muscles work together, when you put pressure on the elbow you block the normal functions of your muscles
Lot of muscles are attached to the elbow
i just thought of something
i started doing pushups and exercising more in general a few days ago
whenever i do them i feel pressure or strain on the same part of the arm
could it be because of this
Maybe
Proper way to do pushups
Push up is good, but if you spend lot of time in sitting position, it's better to train back muscles
what would be exercises for that?
also my pushups are good according to the picture
It's better to avoid 90 degree bc you have the more pressure at this angle
Ok
I actually use handles now, it's easier for me to keep my form that way.
Yes it's good
People say handles make it harder, but for me that's easier.
They said it's harder because that increase the range of motion, but it's better for wrists bc it's a natural position
And it's decreased the pressure on the carpal area
đ đ đ
Can any health peeps link a decent chair? The back on my chair literally fell off, so im playing on a stool
What do you guys do usually when ur sleep schedule is screwed(sleeping at 4-5 instead of 11-1)
all nighter/sleep 3 hours
then suffer for a few hours and go to bed at a reasonable time
Sheesh sounds tough
will try it tho. Rn its 3am here
will my aim hurt if i change the height of my chair? cos i want to my legs to be at 90 degrees and my monitor at my head level (its not adjustable), by doing this tho my my arm is not at 90 degrees to my desk
I definitely would think that having arms 90% to your desk the most important think
can any one tell me the right way to sit and my arm position?
Remember guys, don't forget to stretch :)
90° legs, 90° arms, back straight, eyes look in horizontal, the middle of you foreame on the desk, limit the risk of injury on the elbow
And keeping a alignment with your wrist and elbow is really important
can you make benchmarks for gym?
@flat citrus @flat citrus I do not recommend this ^^ No disrespect to anyone, and if it works for you Iâm happy to hear that đ it may work for some people, still, I would not advise doing this for two broad reasons. 1. Effectiveness. 2. Health. A lot of times when people attempt to make a big change in their sleep habits by staying up for 24+ (usually closer to 36+) hours, they try to make such a drastic change immediately, and they find that they fail to maintain this new schedule. They often revert to their âscrewedâ sleep schedule, as you put it.
Now, more importantly - health and wellness. Sleep is extremely important for us. While everyone knows this, oftentimes (and maybe more importantly) I think that people donât always realize how dangerous sleep deprivation is for our health. I will elaborate on this. Before I get too far into that though - I am not saying that pulling one single all-nighter is going to guarantee the development of a serious health issue (although there are multiple studies illustrating some of the immediate negative effects sleep deprivation does have on our health).
Your body does so many things while it is sleeping, and I commend you for deciding to improve your sleep habits. It is not easy, it will be worth it long term though. Irregular or insufficient sleep increases the risk of developing diabetes (because our bodies primarily filter glucose during sleep), kidney failure, acute coronary syndrome, strokes, Alzheimerâs, and so many other health issues. Even one night of zero sleep reduces the functioning of your immune system (not a great thing ever really, especially during a pandemic).
Even one night of insufficient sleep has been clinically documented to increase serum concentrations of both S-100B and NSE by around 20% compared to ânormalâ (non sleep-deprived ) concentrations. This in turn can compromise neuroprotective function. These changes (even after one night of sleep loss) lead to the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) like hydrogen peroxide in your brain. It has been demonstrated that ROS can damage neurons, and even cause cell death.
Now that we have that out of the way^^ the fun part: how to properly alter your sleep schedule.
@fallen glen how do u recommend on me fixing this bad habit
because i used to work on a night shift 11pm-7am and just quit after a few days because of how tiring it was(i had migraines and etc)
been trynna fix it for bout a week now
I have this same habit but have been doing it for a lot longer than a week.
@flat citrus did u try naps ?
yea just took one about 2 hrs ago
Thatâs rough. I currently do shift work as well and have for years. To answer your question, there are a few good steps to take. First, decide what your desired bedtime is going to be (for example 10 PM). Unless there is some emergency or unforeseen circumstance (not watching Netflix or grinding out the smooth botđ), stick to it. Be in bed at that time. Start getting ready for bed by doing things to wind down. Personally, I make a mug of chamomile tea and drink it while packing up my belongings Iâll need for the next day, and setting out my clothes etc. Then, I brush my teeth and read under softlight for about 30 minutes. At that point, Iâm fairly drowsy and quickly fall asleep.
In the morning, when your alarm goes off, get up. Do not use snooze and do not set alarms before the time you actually intend to get up. If this is difficult for you, put the alarm across the room from you so that you need to physically get out of bed to turn it off. If needed, do this with two different alarms in different locations. Once youâre up, youâre up. Consistency is very important.
Some things that can help you get ready for sleep are minimizing screen time and avoiding other bright lights (I have my phone activate a blue light filter at 8:30 PM), exercising during the day, and avoiding caffeine and stimulants (I am guilty of drinking a cup of coffee in the morningsđ - just donât ingest these substances later on in the afternoon or evening!).
One other strategy some people try (unless there is a medical reason for them not to do so) is fasting. Sleep and meals have a relationship. Fasting for about 14-16 hours can help you adjust to a new sleep cycle as well (donât really need to get into the why right now but if youâre curious let me know and we can). For example, eating a final meal at around 3 PM and fasting until 7 AM the next morning. A good rule of thumb is having about 12 hours between breakfast and dinner, with dinner being a few hours before your bedtime.
Finally, when implementing a new sleep schedule - adjusting bedtime by 30 minutes at a time has been effective for me and for many other people. Make sure your body has a few days to adjust to the change, and then bump it down again. Everyone is different, so for some people this may be making an adjustment once a week, whereas others may make adjustments every Sunday and every Wednesday (just an example).
Itâs hard, it is worth it though!! You can do this! Once youâve corrected your sleep habits, the #1 thing to do is to be diligent and strict about your bedtime. That way you can continue enjoying the benefits youâve worked for đ
Something else that can be important, is to only use your bed for two things. Thing number one is sleep. Thing number two you either know, or you are too young to know and itâs irrelevant. So no doing homework in bed, no watching Netflix in bed, no eating in bed, etc. Keeping your phone away from your bed at night can be good too. Using do not disturb, and/or plugging it in to charge in another room (best) or across the room out of reach while in bed.
gotta help out the homies you know how it is
yessir
I work nights at the moment. 6pm - 12pm, eat, then in bed by 1:30/2am.
I play CS with a group of friends that use significantly lower sens than me and use their arms for aiming heavily. Does anyone have good resources for shoulder health?
Wanna look out for my group and some have shown interest when I talk about Voltaic / health, but it's mostly wrist stuff I've heard about.
as long as you dont have some bs posture
arm aiming wont hurt you
the problem with wrist is that if you dont stretch or tense up too much
you'll end up with fucked wrists in few years

Might be asthma or some other respiratory issue
Might even be pandemic related...
A few months ago I was smoking daily and it wasn't incredibly problematic. I came down with a sickness around that time and continued smoking through. Sickness went away and ever since then every time I do it I get incredibly tired and short breath'd
So I stopped
I don't move that much

Gaming chair or ergonomic chair ?
ergonomic chair
Why ergonomic chair is better ?
Than an gaming chair ?
@violet swan gaming chair is marketing
no benefit whatsoever
it just looks "cool" but is worse than a normal chair
the racecar design is really bad for back support
Ok so it's better to find a ergo, than the secret lab chair ?
yes
For sure if you're going to spend 350 dollar on a chair
Thunder X3 yama is a good chair ?
how much is it
183 USD
154 euro

im actually unsure if it's worth the price
What is your chair ?
mine is just a random office chair
Ok
can you tell why?
"Naps that exceed 20 minutes can increase sleep inertia, which leaves you feeling groggy and disoriented. This happens when you awake from a deep sleep. If youâre already sleep-deprived, the symptoms of sleep inertia tend to be more severe and last longer.
Napping too long or too late in the day can make it harder to get a good nightâs sleep. This is even worse for people with insomnia who already have trouble sleeping at night.
Longer (>60 minutes) daytime naps have also been associated with a significantly higher risk of cardiovascular disease and all-cause mortality"
However, it's more that <30 min naps give you better benefits than about side effects of longer sleep. Just search up in google if you want more information
Are we talking napping or getting full 8h sleep during daytime?
so youre saying youre basically going to become nocturnal?

theres never a reason to "bulk up" before you start working out

dont bulk up
do i gotta eat more than usual though
so i can workout and gain weight at the same time
you dont need more calories to gain muscle
