No really I've just been drinking water and some vitamin gummies.
And diet hasn't changed at all?
Water can also make your muscles swell due to them taking it up, as opposed to being dehydrated, this could also be a cause
Are you an adult? Teen?
Teen. About to turn 16
Ah. Dude. You're at the peak of your growth, especially muscle/broadening. I'd say it's your hormones/genetics kicking in, very unlikely the water
Although, you should stick to that water and good diet thing. Once you reach early 20s your body will start storing fat differently, so low junk food and water will make you always lean regardless of working out
Really I thought my testerone would boost up or something but I haven't noticed a thing.
Wdym 'tesosterone would boost up'? It's not something you feel persay
Maybe it's something genetic
probably aim training beefing up your arm
could be too
Lmao
but I play 31.655 cm/360
It's just growing man. Not your aim but each to their own haha
If I had a G502 I would be more buff than the rock rn. And yeah that's true.
My friend thinks he has abs but he’s just so skinny that you can see his tiny muscles
i know how it is
its pure pain as u said
but i didnt have it bc bad posture while gaming
i had it bc i was having bad posture while sleeping
Me too
oh
i thought that pain it was bc of bad posture while gaming for u
but is bad posture while sleeping
what u need to do is to move ur neck a little bit to left consistent
and then more and more to the left
Sleeping posture? Hmm I'm gonna Google that never heard of it
Currently a college student drowning in work, also working out, and I can't get enough sleep and its slowly killing me
So my energy feels like it progessively becomes less and less over time
The only thing keeping me alive is my drive and work ethic atm
If i was to slack or procrastinate at all i would just die tbh
oh nice
but u gonna be tired anyways
might as well say fuck it
and work even harder
something good will happen eventually
if not go back to working as much as now
Good advice: Completely ignore this guy
lmaooo
Honestly its really just the schoolwork that drowns me, ive got classes until like 4 every day, then i workout, then by the time i start work its like 8
and ive usually got like 4 to 6 hours of work a night
do you stay up late?
yeah i do
maybe try going to sleep earlier and then waking up earlier, and doing stuff in the morning instead
if you can
rarely go to bed before midnight
I have class at 8 in the morning
plus the way i look at it, if there is work i gotta do, im going to lose sleep
Whether it be at night or in the mornign
morning*
that is a good mindset tho to keep u from becoming lazy
Lived my last 18 being lazy lol not going back to that
either way
talks about taking naps
over sleeping at night
will give u more energy
read article
ye it is
tbh i do the same as u as a hs student
but not to study
i just watch yt videos
and sumtimes i be dropping a sleep and waking up 20 minutes later
and im full of energy
but I aint try to fully implement naps yet
For me working out has improved my aim tbf
@violet swan maybe you just improved your overall health and you feel a lot better so you play better.
mabye
i started working out same time i started aimtraining
so mabye its both
oh well
i mean its prob the aim training
but ye lol
nahhh
its both
working out doesnt really improve your aim
unless you're super unhealthy then you improve health
but if you're like normal weight or a bit skinny and then get buff i dont think it would help you. idk which one you are of those though
My personal experience with working out
is im more steady after that
everything is more smooth
Its like my muscles are relaxed and more comfortable, without a workout they feel tense
lmao no way I drop caffeine for a polyphasic sleep cycle
Yeah i do feel like I can aim a bit steadier after working out as long as I didn't work my grip/forearms
Directly
Yo
I found out a super good tea
It's called black tea and it has the most caffeine out of all the teas
And it helps with gut heath and heart heath
And it tastes like shit
Yeah, as long as muscles aren't too sore, then it's a bit easier to aim after a workout because it's harder to tense up.
if I plan to sleep as little as possible today, what is the least amount of sleep I need to be functionalble tomorrow
Work out eat less ok
10/10 advice
can i just eat fruits and vegetables for the rest of my life
since i dont really like meat
You can

I learned in my weight lifting class today that I need 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight per day. I weigh like 130lbs for example, so I’d have to take in 130 grams of protein. What about other macronutrients like fats and carbs?
Is there a rule for those?
I’m just curious because I’ve never watched how I eat, so I’m not exactly sure.
That doesn’t seem right to me because that’s like
A ton of protein
I could be wrong, but I thought I would be best to ask here
No that’s correct, for weightlifting you should be consuming 0.8-1g of your body weight
Its a little complicated
Depends on body composition and goals
130g a day should be fine
Alright that sounds pretty good thanks guys
I had 4 eggs just now, and some Breakfast essentials
What about carbs and fats?
Same amount or different?
just ask your weight lifting trainer
he/she prob knows better since they are working with you and see you in person
does it take awhile to lose a caffine tolorance?
i drank like 420mg of caffeine a day for a while and now stopped
I just need this space to vent.
I've been playing Rocket League a lot more, and I admit that I'm not as good as my friends. They have a better understanding of hitting the ball in a specific direction and then making plays based off of that. For me, I tend to whiff some shots and some saves I just whiff. My friends aren't huge fans, to say the least.
Whenever I whiff, I usually get irritated at myself and groan "Oh my god." Of course, they start chirping me because I shouldn't whiff easy shots like that. Sometimes I ask "What was I even supposed to do?" because it was such an odd scenario. In response? I might get called "RETAHDED" and stupid because I don't understand what I could've done better. Even in tournaments; in a plat tourney, we got to the final match, and it was 1-1 on a best of 3. Because I whiffed many hard saves, we lost 1-4. It wasn't fun, and I didn't feel good. They didn't like it either.
Recently, while I got back into a discord call, I heard them talking about me, and they were mentioning about how it's annoying that A. I don't admit shit when I do something wrong(to an extent, kinda true in retrospect) and B. apparently don't want to play good, especially in that previous tourney. Like come on.

don't play with them then
plenty of teams around, you can't go far being in a team that has no harmony
is adderal worse than energy drinks??????
well
if you arnt perscribed to adderal
you shouldnt take it
its ment to help people with add/adhd
and other attention disorders
yeah and it's fine if you're taking the prescribed dose or even less
but that's the kind of thing you should talk to whoever prescribed it about
@lethal cloak 7-10 days of cold turkey. Drink it solely every 48 hours and you won't build tolerance, try it
Don't forget, soda, chocolate, everything has it
mm anyone got any good finger stretch stuff? been having pretty stiff fingers recently
no wrist problems, just fingers

probably applies to gamers as well
ty ill look in a bit

also some in the channel pins
@worthy cloud where?
cheers
Am I the only one that finds these stretches do fuck all? Once I surpass the 4 hour gaming mark per day, they get sore no matter what precautions taken
Forget kovaaks. 30 mins of that a day causes agony
@eternal dirge fuck them kids, if they want to be toxic they aren’t your friends. They should help you get better instead of flaming you
Surround yourself with people that want you to succeed and you will go very far
@placid bison you might be having some hand posture issues. Evaluate how your wrist is positioned, as well as your arm. Think about anything else you do that puts some pressure on ur wrist
@stark oasis we talked shit out and it was heat of the moment stuff
So far things are alright, they were just chirping and being silly, didnt mean anything personal. so all shit so far between us is aside
I might shift my mind though so I start admitting that I make mistakes, and then use that energy to improve myself
should i have my back on my chair cause i kinda lean forward while i play
@atomic sky Yes
how do i stop myself from drinking ice coffe
dont drink ice coffee
thats hard am so addicted to it
Just get gud and stop drinking it
whos stronger:
brain or some ice coffee?
i dont drink it to improve cuz i drank it so much caffeine / sugar makes no difference
If you're looking for a caffeine replacement that is cheap I suggest getting straight up caffeine pills that are like 100mg of caffeine. Here in Aus they sell under the brand No Doz. They're like 15 cents per 100mg which you only need 1-2 of per day so will work out cheaper than any other form of caffeine.
@violet swan
Your wallet and teeth will thank you
Also I suggest reducing your tolerance levels by simply not having any caffeine on days you're not working
I know energy drinks are bad for you but recently my vice has been red bull in the morning
I fill my yeti cup up and sip on the stuff, it's great.
lol when I was your age I hated the stuff
They taste so nice ngl
isnt there a difference between natural and synthetic caffeine tho
caffeine is defined by its chemical structure so I'm pretty sure they'll be the same - the difference is probs everything aside from the caffeine
you can do your own research on that topic
I just wanted to ask if anyone has a suggestion.. im constantly without energy and without any motivation and i was wondering what is there that i can do to fix it
@bleak veldt exercise is nice
you sleeping well
thats part of the problem
no i dont
constantly having nightmares and just not sleeping well
well me too lmao
i shoud see a doctor
but i cant
since the whole pandemic stuff is going on i cant go anywhere
had this particular posture and how i place my arm when i do kovaaks and when i play, suddenly everything feels off now. Anybody else experienced this? what did you do to get "better".
6x a week 2h a gym and you can't fall asleep?
@bleak veldt
could be a large variety of factors, probs see ur GP if your standard fixes aren't working
when i play games or kovaaks i have a posture like sitting on an indian toilet where both my feet are on my chair should i change my posture or is it not that much of a problem
Have your feet still on the ground.
An apple a day keeps the doctor away 😎
feet on the ground and have your back supported by laying back
Feel like my posture is so ass when gaming cause I have my arm resting pre deep in on the table. Should I just like get used to have less of my arm on the table or its whatever
s-sens val 0.41 800
@wraith wolf What’s the best chair you can get for good posture and health?
not sure about best but Herman Miller I would recommend if budget isn't an issue
Our environment-friendly office chairs adapt naturally to any body type and are ergonomically designed to keep your body and brain limber all day.
the mesh ones
or embody
you can also try steelcase if you want cheaper
Sorry for the late response I was asleep but yes, icy and and yan are correct
I have a steel case leap at home and a Herman Miller aeron at work. You can’t go wrong with either.
Customer support for steelcase is awesome. 12 year warranty. My pneumatic cylinder was leaking and the chair couldn’t maintain height. They sent a guy out to replace it within 48 hours, completely free.
@somber tinsel i use the exact same val sens as you lol
I need help what i should do i going sleep at 4am and wokeup at 2pm how i can try comeback to my old shedule ( 12pm - 8/9 am ) ? Sry for bad eng
is it likely that gripping my mouse too tight is causing my wrist pains, I've been maining the viper mini but with my grip and how small the mouse is I feel like I have to grip it really tight to aim well with it, is there anything I can do to stop this or is it better to just buy a mouse better suited to my hand size/grip?
@fading tree bro so cool haha. That sens is perfect man!
@ruby hawk Buy a better sized mouse before the pain becomes chronic. I insisted I stick with a particular mouse that caused me pain, eventually bought the glorious model D. Made it a lot better, but now than damage is done and I get sore very easily
Literally got on kovaaks after 3-4 days rest, 2 minutes of kovaaks my forearm feels like it's gonna cramp
Yeah I think I will, I've been doing hot and cold therapy which has eased the pain quite a bit but I think I'll probably just rest my wrist until I can get a new mouse so I don't cause anymore damage

is there anyway to make myself feel refreshed quick? Does a short nap do the trick
You can try splashing really cold water in your face
A short 10-20 min nap can also work
Or do both take a nap first then splash some cold water @violet swan
Literally got on kovaaks after 3-4 days rest, 2 minutes of kovaaks my forearm feels like it's gonna cramp
@muted fiber damn i have foreaerm burn rn after 4 day of kovaak
Im 2nd restday now still hurts
Doing this rn

Desk was also tooo high (table)
And i gripped mouse too hard
@azure dome I've tried his videos, only helps like 5%. Desk is 100% ergo. Mouse grip yeah could be, do you still grip hard?
I loosened grip
But damage was done
On day 1
Kovaak
Super tight
Day 2 super tight
Day 3 loose after reddit search and little sore arm
Day 4 loose
Still little sore
But less then day 1 and 2
Day 5 no kovaak just csgo
Cramp at evening so i decided itz time to rest
Desk is trash i have its too high
I have herman miller chair but a facking table as desk...
So i will fix this
I think its mainly from cramping the mouse
Too hard
In stress for gerting good scores
I learned quick smooth and relax is the key
Glad i found out early to not fuck with this
@azure dome try using ice where it hurts
it should take the inflammation away
worked for me
idk if it will for u tho
Is that a temporary fix @violet swan ?
my doctor recommended me to try ice if nothing works
and it helped me
thing is ice could be harmful too but it depends on the injury
ig its worth a try ice thru a towel
for like 30 mins
it takes the pain away at least
and it kind of helped me permanently as well
Okay
Should i stop gaming altogether and rest or what
Or Should i fix posture
Train 3 times a week forearms and wrist and stretch during sessions of gaming?
I mean can i still game on a bit and put focus on being smooth
Its a bit of a burning feeling
In my forearm
I read thar can be a precursor of nerve damage omg
Pain is nerve damage
They say on plebbit :p
Just smoothness routine from what sparky routine?
I dont think i can handle this kovaak rn...
Im gonna get a new desk and when i get it ill start out very easy on myself and stretch every hour
I got that burning feeling too. That's nerve damage?!
Dude its precursor
I guarantee new desk and stretch won't help. I have a very expensive setup, nothing is incorrect ergonomically. Still no improvement
Just stop mousing arround
I guess?
My plan is to rest and train until it feels better
How long do you have this and what did you try cutter?
Training i mean weight training
I don't get how these guys on here train hard and get to diamond + without dying from rsi
Lol same
Im literally only.4 days in
Also logged 120hours csgo
Past 2 weeks
For couple months
But had no pain or burning or whatwver
Umm I've had the problem for a few months now. Pre covid was fine. During covid is started to develop being inside gaming more. But now it gets irritated so easy. I've tried everything, standing desk. Vertical mouse. Posture. Stretch. Warmups. Warm room. Nothing helps
Maybe your endurance isn't good?
Yeah must he a contributing factor also
I was lifting weights 5x a week pre covid. I was pretty fit. That also stopped the same time too which probably didn't help. But scared to pick up the weights again with these pains
@violet swan Endurance in general?
wrist and arm
So I should train these up again?
Yeah got the good on forearm workouts
Wrist curls and zome variation
They're risky if not careful too
How long you been doing them
I will man
I had also a nasty shoulder injury
From benching
Used sort of same method
And it worked wonders
All those streamers play 8-16 hours a day with average posture and are fine. I have everything perfect and tired after 1 hour haha wtf
2p reps lightweight benching more reps lighter weight and progressing instead of 5x5 texas method style
How old r u
Squats exception. But squats also have their own issues. I gave up gym pre covid because my knees couldn't tolerate it anymore
Really?
Yes
32 I assume you know your shit
I had a trainer show me the form, got the form correct but it put pressure on the hip?? It was just moving pain
aimer7 has an kovaaks endurance routine if thats your issue
@violet swan I'll Google it
Its so much more to what you see someone do
Its about the torque
How do you brace etc
Intentions
Its easy when you see someone do it like boxing is
But the easier and more basic something looks the harder it is to master
Haha
Its similar
I jumped in yet again way too exited
Pushing way too hard
Again
Haha worst thing ever. Going for high scores is the death
I think our gripping firm is doing the damage
Yes man
Also in game like cs
Ypu have a lot of breaks
But in kovaak tracking especially
Fucking tense
When i smooth my grip i actually got better highscores
Wonder if the strength training will help us not be bothered by this firm grip. Cos I can subconsciously grip soft in kovaak, but once I get in warzone my hands start crushing like a car crusher
But the damage was already done
Oh you're totally 100% right
You need to actively focus on relaxing in game also man
I find it hard but its a must
You do the same thing right?
I try and i notice i must to keep grinding
So difficult
I read up on it the last days
Because of my soreness burning arm
Glad i stopped
Instead of pushing trough
Maybe give it a week/2 rest
Yeah and review demos
I came back with better scores after rest
Yeah dude, watching streamers etc will benefit heaps too
But your still sore ?
Yeah the minute I came back, sore
About 1.5 weeks. I was really sore, at the same time my computer died, I got the 3090, so I took the time to fix and install and rest
Had 1 day kovaaks and the pain was creeping up
Stopped training. Ordered the glorious model D (light mouse). 6 weeks later it turns up, makes it way better! But still get sore from kovaals
Honestly in kovaaks I don't grip hard
I grip very soft
But still gets sore
Oke Also when you split the routine over the day?
Well i would say its not bad becauze its a burn/irritation
But from what i read
Its bad apparantly
Only in the extensor
Near elbow
When you say burn, do you mean like that feeling when your forearm muscle is about to cramp?
Not in my fingers or wrisr
Or literal fire burn feel?
So yours is elbowish? Mines like if you look at your own palms, then look down to your forearm muscle, it's there
Hmmmm numb... Can't say had that
That sounds a bit worse
Yeah i need some rest
I dont know
If nothing helps.id advice going to a physio dude
You're right. Just so hard working full time and side jobs etc
Have you been to one?
No
Im not worried enough
If my self help does not work
Ill go
Time limit 2 weeks
From today
Yeah that sounds like a good plan for you
Mines not bad enough to visit one
But try your workouts and 100% let me know if it works or how you go. We seem to be one of the only ones this bad
You too bruz
aim traiing seems to make my forearm antagonist muscles really tender on my right arm, is this normal?
You’re too tense try focusing on relaxing your arm when you’re playing
Pinned
when i play keyboard my left shoulder kinda hurts idk if its posture or because my keyboard is like 60 degrees
Is your shoulder shrugged?
yea slightly

im having pain right here
right underneath my knuckles on the bottom side only
it's a weird kind of pain i think
any ideas of whats up?
been going on for 3 days
what kind of pain is it, how do you grip your mouse?
@dull void I'm gonna guess small mouse here
yeah, i typically use pincer claw on an egg but it's never caused me problems before. since the pain started i've been using a relaxed fingertip on a big mouse and trying not to play fps games or do stuff that'll aggravate it
i'm not really sure how to describe the pain except that i think it's different from muscle pain
i don't think its nerve pain either but im not sure
almost feels like its in the joint maybe?
tendon inflammation of some kind maybe
always happy to help
Worth to buy one handed keyboard
Esp for ergonomics, my old keyboard is getting mushy.
one handed?
what does that mean?
like those gaming keyboards?
or a smaller like 60% keyboard
I think he means those tiny pads theyre like just the basic keys they're mostly marketed for console players
yeah those
I dont think it's worth it
better to get a tkl keyboard
those are mostly very old and outdated
and usability is very low
Ye im asking if its worth for the ergonomics
Cause I already have a keyboard, plus mouse space
im not sure, you can try getting a wrist rest
@gritty crest which ergonomic aspect are you looking for?
support for your palm? distance between mouse and keyboard?
Ye tbh space mostly
I dont wanna pay 120 for a small keyboard
Like a ducky
One hand keyboards are very cheap
Compared to that
So right now I tilt my keyboard
But that might not be good for long term health
get a womier k66 or if you actually have ducky money to spend, get a leopold maybe a fc660?
ducky is ridiculously overpriced if your getting it for 120
@muted fiber feeling better already a bit sore from training but not burning anymore and not numb
Want to dive in but ill refrain
@azure dome Interesting. Might be the relief from blood flowing to the muscles/general area. Yeah good idea, don't rush. Too early to tell. Don't confuse instant relief for the solution (as you'd know anyway)
I also paid attention to my death grip on the mouse today. I grab it quite firm. Hard not to without losing accuracy
I will, you have to man loosen up
r/FPSAimTrainer: Think of KovaaK 2.0 as your gym and personal coach for FPS skills. The software has two halves:
- The Sandbox, with thousands of practice scenarios! Every mechanic within the Sandbox is driven by user-defined profiles: weapons, characters, abilities, bots...
"More relax Your hand is, better and quicker your aim will be. Slow down in Kovaak, set the scenarios to almost to slow, train Your muscle memory from smooth fluid movements. Speed the game up gradually. Think actively about your arm being relaxed.
Good Luck!
"
Yeah the blood flow did some.work
Im stretching every 2 hour aprox also
I also have captain of crush grippers which i use now
Used to be at level 2.5
XD
Lol even some guy posted them on that reddit post
Im on track
Does anyone ever have problems with their forearm getting hot and sticky to your desk cause it really messes up my aim when I’m aim training and forearm just starts getting hot and starts sticking to the desk making it hard to move my mouse
@azure dome Interesting. I'll try this. Smoothing sounds like a good idea. So you're using those grip strength things? I always thought they were bad for you haha
@warm flare Get a bigger mouse pad and rest your forearm on that (although ideally you should be resting the forearm on the bench anyway, it hinders aim imo). Otherwise get a sleeve, makes it slippery
@muted fiber likeeverything in training its bad when you overindulge and expect lineair progression and ignore pain..
Good point. Would be nice to get to the bottom of this
I stretch my body, wrists and do eye exercises every day before aim training but for the last couple of days my eyes started burning and watering. I do not want to, but seems like could be a good idea to take a couple of days of. What do you folks think?
Rest is always good. Eye exercises seem excessive though. I stare at a PC 16 hours a day with no issue, you sure you don't need glasses?
How old are you if I may ask?
I don't know if it can help you, but using f.lux helped me with eye comfort, since it's filtering blue lights. I've never had your eyes issues but it helped me relax me eyes when playing
honest opinion on using a sports sleeve on ur aiming arm?
I stretch my body, wrists and do eye exercises every day before aim training but for the last couple of days my eyes started burning and watering. I do not want to, but seems like could be a good idea to take a couple of days of. What do you folks think?
@violet swan first of
the fuck are eye exercises ?
secondly
just like when focusing on anything with your eyes
espeically with something like gaming where you are close to monitor and your eyes are perma heavily focused on smth
you automatically start to blink less
its only natural
so ofc your eyes go dry
hence the watering
get eye drops or w.e
other thing that damages your eyes is blue light
can get glasses to counter that, or take breaks or use this windows night light setting
@summer verge set of eye moves to strengthen muscles that move eyes. Looking right to left, up and down. Focusing on a pen and moving it closer then farther etc.
It is good to focus on things further away from you every so often
Eye excersizes are fine
Never heard of those
lul
one of those over specific things
actual usefullness probaply is rather hard to dertermine
I just try to make sure I don't stare at something close to me uninterrupted for too long
but TLDR: while gaming eyes constantly focus on monitor which is close to face > resulting in blinking less so eyes go dry @violet swan
just use eyedrops
if that doesnt help, the other thing causing eye burning is prolly excessive blue light exposure
in that case take breaks and fix monitor settings
I can vouch for the night light setting in windows. I just leave it on 24/7. That blue tinge really affects you
So I've lost 20 pounds in the past 2 months. Started working out a few times a week, started eating less/went on keto for 4 weeks. I started at 213, now I'm at 193. My problem is now that I don't have an appetite during the day. I'm not sure if this is normal, or if I developed some type of eating disorder.
I've had 1 meal per day the past 4 days.
Smaller portions of food than I'm used to eating.
Granted I didn't move from my desk all day and I take multivitamins
Have you been working out the past 4 days?
If you were working out before and stopped it can affect your appetite
I mean I've only been working out 2-3 times a week
I do
moreso the food thing I'm worried about
I haven't been sleeping well
I even quit taking caffeine
@violet swan when u don’t have a hunger to eat it probably means 1 your sick or 2 your body adapted to your diet
Do u fast
That’s why
why
You body adapts to your fast
Have u ever herd people that fast for a week
The first 3 days are hard with the hunger but as the days go on the hunger gets less and less
I don't think it's a good thing
It’s a bad thing when u don’t eat
Deficit is too big
And it’s a good thing cuz u won’t over eat
You should force yourself to eat a minimum amount of healthy foods
Yea
how many calories
There are a lot of things that may affect your hunger levels
2k to maintain the same weight
No
I can't eat 2k calories rn
Your body burns 2k a day
There are general rules you can use to estimate your total daily energy expenditure
Eat 2-300 calories below that
@worthy cloud he works out tho
I would say 300 below if he don’t work out but he does
Depends how much fat he wants to lose
Yea
That’s why I said 2k if he want to maintain his weight
@violet swan want to become buff
Once I lose enough weight
If you eat enough protein and eat just under your maintenance calories, you should be able to pull off some recomp instead of just fat loss
Especially if you have noob gains still available
Takes a more precise diet though
Yeah what these guys said ^
Do not do extreme fasts like you're doing, you'll shock your body to go into survival mode and it store fat a lot easier. You should be eating a little less than your maintenance calories. If you do it faster, there's been studies that prove you can permanently reduce your metabolisms and forever out on weight/fat easier. Don't be silly about it. Exercise at least every 2 days. Eat reasonable. Don't eat simple sugar where you can. Eat small frequent meals throughout the day, it's like keeping a little fire burning as opposed to dumping 600 logs on a matchstick.
Finally, your lack of hunger is stemmed most likely from not eating at breakfast. Very unhealthy, eat breakfast and eat small throughout the day. You don't want your blood sugar dipping down all the time, keep it levelled out
I don't know 1 person who solely eats healthy food and says it's easy to reach their calorie goal. If you eat what you're meant to, it's hard as hell. Try eating 100 carrots a day instead of 2 chocolate bars
(not literally carrots, just an example)
It is hard for sure
At one point last year I was on a 3300 calorie a day diet plan
All chicken, white fish, broccoli
Oatmeal, egg whites
I couldn't eat it all
what's the difference between the hang loose and sagittal hang loose stretches. the description and images aren't making sense
is it just the hang loose stretch but in the plane perpendicular to the regular one?
why does my wrist keep snapping every time i rotate it
theres probably some inflammation does it hurt?
yeah it is pretty inflamed and it kinda hurts
thats why, rest your wrist and get an ice pack wrap a papertowel around it and ice your wrist 10 minutes at a time throughout the day
and take a couple of days off playing so you dont injure yourself more
@wraith wolf thanks
@wraith wolf I was too scared to do my 3rd rep cuz I had no spotter
Haven't had a spotter since before covid
And its stalling my gainz
Heya
there's nobody at the gym when you go?
@worthy cloud
I don't feel comfortable asking for a spotter since covid
Yeah understandable, yikes are they enforcing 6 feet apart at your gym? nobody respects that rule at mine
Nobody is following it but I just dont feel comfortable asking
They'd probably not mind
@muted fiber i tried some csgo and still hurts a little, im going to skip kovaaks now and fix my posture (had elbow on desk because it was too high, waiting on my new desk to allow elbows at side posture)
Played half hour deathmatch only, on the table with my elbow at side, uncomfortable for legs and could just barely get my hand 15 cm over the table to mouse
@azure dome Thanks for keeping me in the loop man. I just had a thought, ever since I got rid of my standing desk the problem has been worse. You should get yourself one of those electric adjustable ones
Hmm that's not good
I'm also in a bit of pain today. Played cod last night a few hours and suddenly out of nowhere it flared. Cramps in forearm and mild pains/aches
Going to rest as Empyrean mentioned
I also played cod last night for an hour and same
I'm like 1200 dpi 3.8 cod
Oke so im on the low end
Tried 5.8 today and it felt good/fast. But not sure if that's the solution. Dropping from 40-30 definitely did wonders
40cm-30cm*
Let me see what yours us
Is***
Damn 47cm/360
Is that bad?
I had lower sens before
Like 1.7 400 dpi xD
6 something in cod
But since a month or 2 i dramatically increased my.gaming
Well i just did gripper training and im also stretching during the day so lets see where it goes.
3 sets of 20 with the S captain of crush and 1 set of 20 with the trainer
Will start to slowly build up to level 1
And limited hours
In game
@worthy cloud assuming my hand thing is tendon inflammation what would be the proper treatment?
@azure dome Might not be bad, but personally my wrist would be so much worse moving my arm that much
Oh right! Do you have any working methods to quickly lose the death grip habit? I find I can play light, but the second I go in warzone and start sweating it, I subconsciously start death gripping when I'm getting rushed/shot at
@muted fiber
I moved the convo here in the appropriate channel so we can continue talking about it, as far as that goes you just have to be conscious abut it and actively remind yourself not to when you catch yourself gripping your mouse hard
@wraith wolf Thank you. Sorry for wrong channel. Okay I'll try being really careful.
Absolutely no worries, please come back if you have anymore questions. If your pain never resolves you might want to consider making an appt to get the proper care from your physician since they can do a proper diagnosis and pin down specifically what's causing the pain
Arms hanging hurt my elbow more @muted fiber
I cant even trythis but my desk will soon be delivererd look at this position https://youtu.be/PLvBQx1g1qA
Another one of n0thing's rants.
I am aware that the video is quiet and I will make sure to amp the volume next time. Thanks for the feedback on the reddit post :)
Thanks Empyrean that's super kind. I think you're right might just go to doc
Terminator do you also find arms hanging flares your back/shoulder blade?
Interesting video
It mainly just flares mt elbow on tricep and forearm
When i do aim training i'm having arm pain i dont know why but my upper arm is aching after 5-10 mins of aim training in kovaaks, but when i'm playing csgo/valorant i'm not experiencing arm pain.
I can't do training on kovaaks because of it. I want to get better but this problema is stopping me. Idk what the problem is. Anyone here experience this too before?
are you tensing up a lot?
what kind of scenarios are you doing? does it only hurt when doing tracking/smoothing?
are you tensing up a lot?
@thorny dew No
what kind of scenarios are you doing? does it only hurt when doing tracking/smoothing?
@wraith wolf thingauleteasy only i just started but in aimlabs i do the gridshot and its hurting too.
@hollow vector Stay away from gridshot in aimlab. That crap destroys your arm/hands and you don't get any better at aiming with it imo
Awesome. Kovaaks is worth every cent
@hollow vector Stay away from gridshot in aimlab. That crap destroys your arm/hands and you don't get any better at aiming with it imo
@muted fiber oh really why?
It's a ridiculous amount of clicking in a very short time. It doesn't really challenge your precision, tracking in anyway. The switching is very small and easy. But you'll give yourself RSI in about 5 minutes, so it really ain't worth it man
build arm/hand strength and dexterity
dont need to get ripped or anything, but building some muscle and doing proper stretches gets you a long way as far as avoiding pain/damage
Really? @silent osprey Have you benefitted from this exact scenario yourself?
yes
its not entirely preventative of course, but as long as your actual ergonomic situation isnt appalling, it's generally a good idea
Understandable. Even perfect ergo hurts my forearm
I'm hella sore atm from gaming. Taking a few rest days. Is it a bad idea to do a forearm workout today?
mm if you're still sore, dont do it until you feel better at least
Okay thank you
build arm/hand strength and dexterity
@silent osprey Thanks for this, what kind of stretches do you do?
uh
i just freeball it because i have a good understanding of hand anatomy stuff
i mostly had issues specifically with hand stiffness like a week ago, but prior to that it was just whatever i came up with
better to look up some good exercises if you want broader stretch stuff
It's been 4/5 hrs since then and i still feel a little sore on my upper arm. i tried kovaaks/aimlabs for about 20/25 minutes. I hope that it will heal later when i woke up. Anyway thanks again i will try research on stuff like that.
@hollow vector When you say upper arm, do you mean around your bicep?
hi, im having pain on my pinky and ring finger and spread to the forearm, im using a claw grip on the model o minus, this doesnt happen in the past when i used to play overwatch, i've only been experiencing this problem since i started aim training like 3 months ago and i thought the pain would just go away, but this thing is really killing me. Where should i put my pinky and ring finger on the mouse to avoid this kind of pain
your hand position might not be the issue @remote dagger as I imagine you've defaulted to what feels most comfortable with your hand shape and size. You probably haven't gone out of your way to distort your hand and cause these feelings
I'd wager your issue probably stems from gripping too hard or just failing to warm up & stretch out your wrists/fingers
I can second that. Read the convo above and you'll see me having the same issue. @azure dome Today I did a forearm workout light. Iced it a couple of times. Playing right now with REALLY light grip trying not to death grip and seems to be okay. My wrist still is puffy though
Nice job man i also did the workout again with 5kg olympic dumbells. Im feeling better but hell no fucking kovaak in the meantime. I had some good game after i aplied the aim style of n0thing https://youtu.be/PLvBQx1g1qA
I still feel a slight burn which started in yesterdays morning when i changed posture and let my elbow tuck in side and float. When i rest my elbow its so much better. Also i try to limit wrist motion as seen in the video! @cuttermy forearms are getting thick. I also did some chinups 3 sets of 8 for more bloodflow.
Another one of n0thing's rants.
I am aware that the video is quiet and I will make sure to amp the volume next time. Thanks for the feedback on the reddit post :)
Today i only feel little tingle
@muted fiber
And i do pushups during the day 3x20 reps or something alternating days
And the grippers
4x20 reps each hand
Today a rest day yesterday i played like 5 games of csgo
And stretching before in between and after sessions
@hollow vector how arw you doing?
Flexor or extensor pain?
Haha fuck yeah man
Sounds like we'll make it out of this
I also removed my chair armrests so I can get closer to desk and higher
@hollow vector When you say upper arm, do you mean around your bicep?
@muted fiber Yeah
Flexor or extensor pain?
@azure dome idk extensor maybe
I have same
@azure dome really? it is ok now?
Im managing it with training
Levi vid
And stretching
And griptraining
And posture corrextion
And no kovaak
I play some games of csgo
Per day
Instead of sick deathmatch fest and kovaak
I fwlt.a burn and numbness
Now i only feel a slight slight tingle
What video?
Honestly feel like the moral of the story is, either stop death gripping, or stop kovaaks
Roshi Google dr Levi gaming stretches
Yep
When im playing more stressful/competitive games, regardless of the temperature in the room, i get very very cold to the point where im shivering in my chair, and that doesn't exactly help with aiming
anybody have this issue?
Thanks. I will just a buy a new chair and fix may may posture and do stretching and all that. The chair i use rn is an old office chair medium size for me i got from my grandma. I'm 6'1 so its not covering my whole back and sometimes i get backpains too.
I get cold too
why does my arm start hurting after doing kovaaks after 5-10 minutes? Is it just because im weak or does it have to do with my posture, I feel like my posture is good but idrk
Sinuhe are you doing large movements during kovaaks?
I do routines such as Air, Ground Plaza, PatTargetSwitch, etc. i guess those could be considered large movements, I also have a pretty low sens at 64cm/360
Although I don't feel like it would be normal for your arm to be hurting after doing any sort of arm movement for 10 mins
It starts around the tendon on my elbow and slowly moves up towards my arm, it is more of an ache than a sharp pain.
is it normal when my wrist goes up when going to the right during tracking scnearios
@wraith wolf What's your opinion on chair arm rests? I just removed mine as I find they're so annoying and really doubt the benefit of their ergonomics
It just depends how you’re positioned at your desk as long as your arm/elbows are resting on the desk comfortably at 90 degrees you’re okay I don’t use my arm rests neither but my elbow is supported by my desk @muted fiber
Do you still maintain straight back/proper ergo with elbows on desk? I have to lean in
I’m still able to lean back in my chair and sit straight up
Will give it a go
Thanks will do!

Salmon is full of Omega-3, a fatty acid known to be highly beneficial to the brain—Omega-3 provides more oxygen to the brain, and allows us to retain new information, while still remembering old information. The best fish to eat for brain health are salmon, tuna and herring.
Would this mean that u can learn faster when u eat salmon
It means if you're not getting enough omegas your memory and learning ability can suffer
And a salmon is a good source of omega 3
I take supplements for omegas
well said, I also take some fish oil capsules it helps with inflammation too
I couldn't work out for a month because of my wisdom teeth removal, and right after that I got corona symptoms. I'm completely healthy now, I started working out again this week. I lost around 4 kilos, because I couldn't really eat. Measured my weight when I became healthy after 1 months of feeling bad, and measured it now, and I am 3 kilograms heavier (from 55.4 to 58.4) , and my body fat (probably not accurate, because this is just an electrical shock kinda scale or whatever it's called; from 7.4 to 8.4%) also increased. I know this should be natural. I was actively working out before the month I couldn't train. So my question would be what is a "good" muscle to fat gain ratio, and if it is even possible to gain 3 kilos in less than 2 weeks. (My body also looks a lot better right now than before I got my teeth removed)
3 kilo in under 2 weeks if you were under eating and probably dehydrated is reasonable
you're probably not 8.4%, those scales can be very off sometimes
gaining between 1 and 2 kg of fat per 1kg of muscle is reasonable
maybe more if you're coming back from time off
@worn sonnet
the quickest gains you'll ever make are coming back from time off
Yeah, I came back after having 1 month off
And before that I was working out quite a lot
Thank you for the quick answer
also the ratio of lean mass to fat that you gain while bulking is usually related to how quickly you're bulking
the higher your caloric surplus is the more fat you will gain
but also the more muscle you can gain
should i drink milk to help learn faster?
I think milk is a good source of omegas I guess
I've seen some with added omegas somewhere too
Yeah and studies have shown that people drink milk do better academically, so I think it helps with your overall brain health
In terms of learning better aim I'm not sure. I think drinking more water would be more helpful
Yeah true don't use it as a substitute for water
that's fine
So uh my question might be more difficult to answer... I was doing really well in aim training and updated most of the scores to diamond, but after I took a 30 min dinner break I could feel my aim is off. After dinner is around the time my prescribed Adderall wears off. What does that mean in terms of my improvement? Am I actually improving or am I just performing better bc of drugs?
Cause so far the only thing I notice after taking Adderall is nausea lol. I just hope I don't have to take medicine to get to the next level
Kinda weird long and specific so anything is much appreciated :D
It's complicated, I was actually prescribed adderall in university too, haven't used it in a couple years though
I do think you're improving even though you're on it
But once it wears off you're burned out
Probably best to discuss any concerns with your doctor
I used to take less than the amount I was prescribed and only when I had a really rough day ahead, trying to not rely on it
I told my doctor he just told me to keep taking it which is sketch
Feeling nausea for 3 days straight
Probably gonna take it with food and see if that makes a difference
Thanks though. Really hope that I don't need to rely on meds. I was so happy that I am improving quickly then the realization hit me hard and made me kinda depressed. This helped a lot
@azure dome So I continued playing and not resting. But being really careful and grabbing the mouse super soft. Got really painful so just stopped and iced it. I'm going out drinking the next couple of days so I'll use that as wrist rest
Really hard to heal the damage though with a bloody desk job :((((
Fucked up man..
I also game on but also feel a slight tingle still. I did some very light grip work and i started incorperating this excersize. Ill complement my training with this: 3x30 sec hangs 45 degree 1 handed each 3x30. https://youtu.be/7kTNk3qEuLM

If you experience elbow pain when you work out then you need to watch this. In this video, I’m going to show you not only the real cause of the pain and discomfort ...
See where it leads me
Think i have this
Generally, people think to ice their ailments to relieve the pain. However, ice relieves inflammation, and as previously discussed, inflammation is not the cause of pain.
Therefore, ice would not help this condition. In fact, icing the affected area may prolong the healing process.
Heating the area increases blood flow, thereby increasing oxygen and nutrients needed for recovery. For an overuse tendinosis, heat is more helpful than ice.
@muted fiber
Damn. So you're saying don't ice it. I'll heat pack it then
Apparently it's best to ice it for the initial 3 days, then heat thereafter for tendinitis
@worthy cloud performed the same without Adderall today, so I'm glad that my performance isn't completely based on it
Nice
Still have the nausea though rip
True
Take it with breakfast, never empty stomach
I'm drinking a lot water just isn't eating nor feel hungry
Well I didn't even take it today
Probably gonna wait til the weekend and test things out still got some coding hw and headaches are not really good friends with hw
But yeah I will take it with more food, thanks for the advice
Really appreciate it
is it bad to get jacked af before playing
coz like im built
and like
i dont wanna lift too much before i play
like im talking 200kg benching
no spotter
after playing for a few days i can feel my finger tendons in my right hand being kinds sore from tension
i have an electric hand warmer, would it help to heat treat? or just relax for a day
Is nofap good for aim
bruh
recently started fundamental aim routines, takes me like 1:30hr and around the same time i noticed relative weakness in my aiming arm, my mouse grip kinda loosened and my aim overall dipped. and im not sure if this started before the routines or after but what could i be experiencing?
i do a bit more of other tasks too
my right hand feels a bit weaker than my left one, grip wise.
how would you know both hand?
@tardy bronze you're thinking too much, give it atleast two weeks before forming any thought
aim training is literally just what you do in-game, but more
so if you had no problem in-game, this shouldn't have anything weird
my mouse control ingame has definetely changed, its loosened
i thought of the same thing but maybe other precautions i could take. i use primarily wrist aim and low sens.
i grip it kinda firmly, not too much
@tardy bronze try to keep it as relaxed as you can for now, we subconsciously use more strength then we feel, so consciously try to loosen your grip to counter it. See if the problem keeps going.
loosening it messes with my aim, so i guess i have to adapt to this grip, maybe decrease my sens too
@violet swan thank you for the response
Lately i've been having forearm pain, probably the radial nerve i can feel it aching almost all the time and it gets worse if i rotate my hand forward and backward
it came after i played vox TS for like 10 mins and tensed too much
It goes away. You probably dont use those muscles much
@tardy bronze I think you're holding ur mouse too hard. A good way to test is binding m1 (shoot) to space bar. If your hand doesn't hurt as much after it means you are gripping too tight
That's all I can think of
hey guys I get a lot of tension in my hand from tracking for more than 1 min, usually have to take a 30 second rest which makes me a bit shaky. I stretch at the end of the day and do a lot of grip exercises at the gym. is there anything I can do, I feel like I have a lot of tension in my hands.
i started using spacebar today to see if that can help with the tension
probably good to mention I only feel this when im in Kovaaks and not in my main game
How to improve your eyesight at home? Exercising your eyes is one of those simple things that very few people do. However, it can help you maintain excellent vision.
Here are 10 exercises that will take you no more than ten minutes to do. You can give them a try right now while watching this video – we are going to do all of them with you!
TIM...
are these eye exercises legitimate?
@hasty granite Everything exact same thing as you. Do you death grip?
@gray osprey Just clickbait. Use glasses/blue light glasses if you wanna help your eyes imo
@azure dome I had a friend ask their physio about my forearm/wrist pains. They advised I immediately stop gaming/using the mouse at all and to go see a physio. I will do that and let you know. Apparently only they can diagnose exactly what to train to fix the issue, as Google searches is a dangerous path which can mislead you down more damage. Id suggest you do the same if you can, don't want this becoming permanent
@muted fiber do u have any evidence other than speculation? the video was recommended by this guy (who is not necessarily credible either): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRDtU1PQ8Eg
I trained my eyes for ONE WEEK! Did it help my aim? (Aim Guide)
In this video I talk about eye training in video games. I go through four exercises everyday before getting on and give you an in-depth look on how they helped me and what they are all about, what they have to offer, and show my progress from before and after the video. If you stru...
i have used that video and experienced the benefit of curing dry-groggy morning eyes
and that is about it
well
i experienced more than that but could have been placebo
he claims he experienced improvement after consistently using but he as well could have just been making a clickbait video
@gray osprey I studied science for a year in college, so I'm more likely to believe more credible sources such as articles/studies. YouTube videos are often unreferenced and opinion based from the YouTuber making it (which could be someone no more knowledgeable than you or I). My second point is, usually videos that have stupid images like the eyeball one getting brighter or this guy's laser eye beams are to make people click it.
What you're describing sounds like a placebo of an improvement from your eyes being tired just from the morning as opposed to your standard vision baseline
His anecdotal experience for his own video is questionable as a source. But feel free to try it out and see how it performs
i have; and as i said i did experience some minor benefits, but that also could have been from taking a short break from the screen and drinking water while i did those exercises
Agreed. Just a heads up really
if anyone else could provide their opinions as well, would be appreciated!
@muted fiber do u know of any eye exercises that are legitimate?
i used to take breaks and go outside and look at something far away for ten minutes
that seemed to help
but it could be as simple as just taking a break
Good question. No exercises persay, but taking breaks every 20 minutes and drinking water is a huge one. Also keeping at a healthy distance from the screen and having appropriate room lighting make a huge difference
Sounds like you already got the main bits down pat man :)
lol
Those computer glasses though are a good. Even with perfect vision, they make everything more crisp so you don't lean in and stuff
got any recommendations on any particular glasses?
What country you from? In Aus if you have health insurance you can get them free from your optometrist, they're the best ones
US
i could take a look into what medicade might provide
but i doubt it
america lul
Americans have it tough man :(
yes my college experience has been a painful debt experience
we will make college cost 50 grand for people who do not have jobs yet
Exactly. And when you do get employed it won't be exactly amazing pay either
except that im in the computer science field ;D
its whatever
planning to bail to canada anyway
Is it safe to play games if I have tennis elbow?
Dose anyone know how much water is to much?
is it normal to raise my wrist while moving my arm to the right?
Do you aim with your wrist, arm or both?
both
I think it might be normal, not sure
@worthy cloud how much of an effect do u think working out has on ur ability to improve aiming
and also why did i shred through my high scores today from 2 bangs despite having a weeks worth of rust
why human body weird
ahh idk if this is the spot to ask but anyone got tips for getting rid o a lisp im sick of people calling me out on it.
@lethal cloak i used to have a lisp. try closing your teeth all the way when u pronounce an S
u gotta think real hard about it at first but if u keep it up its just "muscle memory" (?) at that point
just gotta learn it
i only had a minor lisp but it was apparent enough that i got called out for it a lot too by my friends
and im lucky enough to have good friends that would kindly point it out any time i fucked up so i could keep focus on it
so if u got a buddy just let him know
anyone got a recommended caliesthenics workout?
Hey, can my elbow being not rested (floating) cause problems?
@low rampart if your elbow is floating you're something else
You tried the r/bodyweightfitness recommended routine?
I have not
Hi ! I just found a problem which i have. When i do 'microtracking', my hand shake and i can't aim proprelly, it is normal ? Should i do something ? There is a solution ?
yh that means u have parkinsons unlucky
how important is it to wake up inbetween sleep cycles
like if i go to sleep rn do i get 7 and a half hour of sleep and wake up inbetween cycles or do i sleep 8 and a half and wake up in the middle of one
mm disturbing ur deep sleep kinda sucks
you'll feel shit when you wake up and i tend to find i just feel way more tired and lethargic through the day
try and let urself wake up naturally if possible
back when i had a schedule to adhere to i did stuff like have lights gradually turn on at X time to wake me up less abruptly
i think alarms kinda suck
looks very weird
I thought that was something very different
no, its called the Philips Somneo HF3650 Wake-up light - Shiny White
Iced cold shower when it’s almost 0 outside healthy?

Is nicotine commonly used as a nootropic?
I've not heard of this before, likely for decent reasoning.
Idk fam. Even if there was a benefit to it. With all the well studied negative life effects of nicotine, is it really worth it? I've lost family from nicotine, just can't see it ever being worth it. Ofc you do you though
@azure dome Stopped playing games + kovaaks completely. Forearm/wrist still in pain. Going to see a physio this week. This isn't good.
I really feel like kovaaks needs to highlight the dangers of aim training in their game/app. Just using it has pote tially put me at risk of unemployment if this problem turns out chronic
Not blaming anyone but myself. But a little education and warning on using kovaaks before you start (without having to dig into Reddit/discord) would save a lot of people some serious pain
Probably not a bad idea
In the same way Valorant warns about the issues it may cause for people prone to epileptic(?) fits, a small message when opening the game at least recommending stretches or something might not hurt
Also, I don't know what your particular issue is Cutter, but, in my personal experience, weight training worked WONDERS for wrist and hand pain I was experiencing
