I just started aim training 2 days ago, for about 2-3 hours of total time aim training and playing my game of choice, and today the back of my shoulder-blade is aching, is this normal?
Is your shoulder shrugged when you’re gaming/training?
A bit
Try to relax your shoulder by adjusting your chair so that your forearm and elbow is perpendicular to the desk
Just like this, or if you don’t have arm rests you can scoot up to your desk and rest your forearm and elbow on your desk
I will try tht ty
You’re welcome
Boys ive got a slight muscle cramp here (primarily red and a bit on yellow) since yesterday on my wrist. I did some wrist excersises today and am limiting my play time. What else could I do? Any recommended wrist streching guides would be appreciated. @worthy cloud @wraith wolf
If it's actually cramping you could be dehydrated
I do drink a bottle of water everyday. Only thing i did differently yesterday was start the smoothness routine which i think could be the cause since i used a lot of my wrist
Also could try alternating heat and ice
But mostly just try not to use it
Maybe @wraith wolf has more suggestions
As far as wrist specific stretches go the ones link in the channel pins are good
Alright thanks brother
Are you tense when you game? Muscle cramps usually happen when holding a position for too long such as when you’re tensed and holding your mouse a certain way without changing grip or resting to stretch really quick. Cramps can also happen due to the overuse of a muscle in this case being tense/gaming for a prolonged period of time without rest. Since you only drink a bottle of water a day try to drink the daily recommended amount (around 64 oz or 8 cups of water) to hydrate, or drink some Gatorade or some straight electrolytes can help get you rehydrated quickly to help with the cramping. Dr. Levi has a few more good exercises as well the exercises can be found here: https://youtu.be/EiRC80FJbHU

I try my best to not tense and stay relaxed for the most part..ill start implementing stretch breaks and try to drink more water. Thanks
Does anyone else have a small thin bone that sticks out by the ball from the right hand when palm is facing up ? I only have it on the right hand and it makes it impossible to do the wrist extension stretch
reishi mushrooms anyone
I've started to feel pain under my thumb on my left hand, what could be causing this? and how can i prevent it?
left hand? so keyboard hand?
maybe you hold your hand at a weird angle when you game
or maybe you put pressure on it with the desk
https://images-ext-1.discordapp.net/external/rNqBuo2KKFX9s7-EpoQ0GqNpBUnYLkJuU93LiD1im30/https/i.imgur.com/j4zlvl7.png is it bad to have my keyboard hand like this ?
is your wrist bent as well?
Yeah kinda
that could lead to some problems overtime such as carpal tunnel or rsi
you want your wrist to be straight
just angle ur arm to where ur wrist is straight
i play at an angle and do that with no issues
^
I'm just putting this here for anyone who has trouble's like this (I'm not a Health Expert or anything)
If you have muscular stiffness, sprains, wrist pains, soreness etc this may help.
Its a massage cream, I got one called Radian and it works really well. I applied it yesterday when I started to experience wrist pains and by today it feels a ton better
Like the pain is almost gone overnight
I just googled it its available online as well
Although recommended to get from a store
i live in middle of nowhere australia, might have to get it online
thanks
My keyboard is at a very slight angle like this, i am transitioning from full 90 degree angled to straight
So idk where those pains are coming from
I should probably start doing wrist exercises
Those in the pinned link?
Atm when I play kovaaks my left eye starts watering cause I don't think I blink with my left eye when playing. Time for a break?
When I do wrist rolls my wrists cl/ick and pop a lot. It's not painful, but not really plesant either. Is this normal? Could I be that I'm trying to do too extreme movements?
It's almost as if there's a grinding feeling
Yes it’s normal after aim training for a while. It happens because the tendons have become inflamed, are inflamed, and are rubbing against something in your wrist. This is called crepitus and is not harmful, but to prevent it from developing into an actual problem such as rsi or carpal tunnel, do some wrist exercises and ice your wrist for 10-15 minutes at a time in order to get any swelling down if you have any. Some useful wrist exercises can be found in #resources also take a break for 1-3 days to see how that helps the clicking and popping.
Interesting. This isn't even after aim training, I get this all the time. I am struggling with some RSI related injury though (I think dequervain's but I'm not 100% and haven't been diagnosed)
I'll check out those #resources and look into crepitus. Thanks @wraith wolf , very helpful!
Also my knees click loads when I do squats. Always have, no pain. Maybe there's something genetic in my joints that makes them prone to this
The wrist stuff is much more uncomfortable than my knees though, which are just audibly anoying (it's like squating to a metronome :D)
Just turn up the music
My joints also pop a lot
Every step when i go upstairs
Ankle click
@worthy cloud It annoys my training partners, not me 😆
@shadow moth you can ask here yeah
hi I wanted to know how the fuck my reaction time in humanbench is (180-200) and at the reaction.exe is 154 average?
i have adhd as well maybe I'm distracted with the letters on humanbenchmark site
but I don't know
but which speaks the most about my reaction time?
ok tyy
My hand hurts after switching to a new grip after a couple days. Is it normal
Yes it’s normal it could be that you’re forcing a grip that’s not comfortable to you, your mouse isn’t made for that grip, or your mouse may be too big/small to support that new grip just use whatever is comfortable but as long as there’s no concerning pain you should be okay until you adjust
gyms reopening this friday in my area, now my aim will be 3x as good.
@wraith wolf I’m using ul2 so I think it’s a fingertip mouse
thats probably why the ul2 is a very small mouse
how do i make my arm not snap in half while playing air
Well since air is about reaction and being smooth you’re gonna be flinging your arm around unless you increase your sens as long as there’s no pain it’s normal
im also having very faint pain on this part of my right hand. dont want it to escalate so just wondering what i can do
Most likely gamers thumb, I recommend rest, play for shorter periods of time, stretch frequently, take frequent breaks, and if the pain ever becomes too much in the future you can take some anti- inflammatory medication to ease the pain while you rest
❤️
should you take a break if your hand is feeling even a little bit of pain?
yes better to prevent
My bones crack like a lot even after stretching n stuff, I've talked to my doctor and he says that it shouldn't be a problem but it still gives me anxiety, thoughts???
cracking doesnt matter unless its painful or something
Ive been drinking a lot of water since yesterday and the pain on my wrist has gone away. Thanks guys

yay
Damn, I've just found the culpirit of Why my wrist is lightly sore after playing compare to my friends and I think that the answer is that I also stress my wrist a lot when doing calisthenic
yesterday I did a new dips technique for fun and, while i enjoyed trying it, it stressed my wrist so much that it hurts
and i don't remember stretching my wrist during my dynamic stretch session before working out
now my right palm-side wrist is in pain
Hello, I was always at the top of my team (ELO Plat / Diamond), but at one night, I faced players much better than me and had horrible performances.
Since that night, my confidence has taken a hit and I can no longer play properly. It's like a Gold is way better than me, my kills became lucky or reflex. I don't know what to do to recover my self confidence, I made a break, played with Smurf account, ..
Have you been through this? (Sorry for my english)
I've had similar experiences. In Paladins I'm usually top 200, I've had times at the start of the season in diamond where I sometimes just couldn't do anything. It made me feel bad but I just had to dig deep and realize I'm putting myself down.
I just hyped myself up and ended up playing better, and started to win.
@floral pasture
sometimes your skill takes a dive only to rise past your past peak afterwards
Thanks for your feedback, It's not like my skill is diving, it's like I fear facing anyone in the game atm. Holding a line became stressful, my focus is choking. How did you hyped yourself @hollow moat ?
@floral pasture play on a low level alt acc or smurf to get ur confidence back for a short while
though dont think its that good of an idea
long term atleast
@floral pasture Music helped, I would get myself hyped, but also I would exercise before playing. Like lifting weights, it'd give me energy.
Then when I had energy I would just keep telling myself that I could do this, I can do that, this is easy, etc
sometimes a break also helps
Thanks guys, It will maybe take time, but it will work !
whats a good alternative to eggs?
I personally eat oatmeal with some whey protein powder mixed in when I don’t want to eat eggs it’s delicious
thx
what do you guys think about cold showers?
amazing, helps with circulation and helps with muscle soreness post workouts
thanks for the fast answer
you're welcome
i dont think i ever take warm showers after working out during the summer
cold water feels so nice 😩
ye cold shower after workout is hella nice
Also wakes you up which is a plus
yeah dude ive been doing cold shower plus + green tea ive been missing out
i hate coffee and dont wanna drink it so i looked for alternatives finally
same, coffee is so nasty to me I dont like the flavor at all ever since I started drinking green tea Ive been feeling amazing. I also take multivitamins + fish oil capsules and my joints feel awesome despite running on concrete everyday
empyrean is the definition of health
i think my body gets 5-10 percent of some random vitamin eventually from the garbage i eat
every few days
you should count your macros for a day to see how your diet is. It really opens up to what garbage you put in your body and you can see what you lack in terms of macro or micronutrients
yup, and i should start taking more vitamins but i think my diet is p decent for now but i guess it doesnt hurt
yeah i should take multivitamins as well
only problem is rona and i dont like going out and shopping too much rn
otherwise i try to buy fresh veggies n fruit n stuff every week or 2
can always change!
start by cooking your own meals instead of eating too many processed foods for starters
Yeah, home cooked meals are nice because your actually know what youre putting into your body
yessir
i mean i eat home cooked meals rarely eat from outside
but i wouldnt say the food itself is very healthy lol
not eating healthy is a curse
ur life is just substantially worse
and people dontg even know how to eat healthy
be eating 70% carbs XD
well most foods that are tasty are high in carbs lol i dont blame people
thats cuz we brainwashed XD
destroy body but its ok cuz it yummy
our taste palettes are anhiliated
Carbs are extremely good, just moderate your carb intake because our body uses carbs as the first source of energy
^
thats why i hated trying the dumb keto diet i had 0 energy to workout/lift it was terrible
The keto diet is a dumb fad most people just end up gaining the weight back really fast because they don’t know how to properly diet after
Completely agree, dieting is really easy just eat less lol and portion control and you can eat whatever you want
That’s why I always encourage people to count their macros it’s a huge game changer
For sure and I think ill do that as soon as I start lifting again but idk when my gym will open
Same, they closed our gyms again and it’s unfortunate but I resorted to just doing a body weight routine with resistance bands and running 1.5-2 miles everyday for the time being
anyone do squats while brushing their teeth
Nope haha
once i get so money ill probably invest in resistance bands but for now i just do insanity and core
thats my innovation from tonight
Yeah that’s unfortunately probably the best we can do rn just keep up with it
Is it normal to have neck pain and headache after aim training?
No, make sure you’re hydrated and adjust your monitor to eye level
And take frequent breaks to help with eye strain
that reminds me i need to drink water..
drinking water and getting good sleep is actually op...
sooooo many people dont drink nearly enough water
always remember 8x8 rule 8, 8 oz glasses a day
Especially on the desert
Or in extreme heat
Shoulda known, I hadn’t drank water the entire time, thanks
no
certain carbs are fine but a unproportionate high carb diet is the main precursor to inflammation and many other disorders
@floral ivy you dont know what your talking about bruh
If you eat the proper nutrient dense foods the keto diet should be fine
If you are snacking on commercial eggs and cooking it up in trash oils etc your gonna feel sick as fuck
yeah where i live its like 80%+ humidity and 90+ sometimes its the humidity that fucks you lol
Don't spread misinformation about diet please 😄 Keto is great got shredded and healed my gut on it.
- never said eating carbs was perfectly fine and healthy was just saying theyre tasty 2. No lack of carbs = lack of energy period. Sure you can pick foods better but point is I and many others agree you have less energy for high intensity work outs
- When did I ever say I cooked up commercial eggs in trash oils youre just assuming
When you cut carbs your body goes through an adaption phase where it learns to assimilate fats for energy
Ketosis is the burning of fat for fuel
anyway im not here to argue i think keto works great i just dont like it
sorry bro i just tight as fuck about diet
i know people that got really sick and medical system took fulll advantage of them
had them hooked up to so many meds and eventually died
people i love i seen this stuff hapen too just cause they never understood how to take care of themselves
This is an extremely long read, but I did do an assignment that shows both perspectives of the ketogenic diet and is written in the first person let me see if i can upload it
The Keto diet varies a lot from person to person, but generally I recommend athletes and those who participate in high intensity workouts to refrain from the diet
but Im glad to hear the diet worked for someone
Like for everything, It has its pros and cons
I think it is really good in certain scenarios IE internal healing/fat loss
I agree that most athletes shouldn't be using it especially if doing seriously vigorous exercise
I'm trying to build muscle right now and I'm just making sure im selecting healthy carbs (non gluten, minimal white flour) but still mostly proteins and good fats
Nutrient dense food is a must as well but some people can't afford to source organic/grass fed/pasture raised etc and I get that
That was the only point i was making lol
I completely agree you need to eat healthy too at the end of the day you shouldnt just cut calories and eat whatever
Glad to see we've come to a mutual agreement and there is no miscommunication.
I wouldn't call it a fad diet though, it actually has roots to ancient history when diets consisted of fiber fats and protein mostly
Yeah dudez
Im 23 and not fat but I actually have had serious energy issues and skin problems and educating myself on what I was putting in my body has helped tons
Its crazy how nutrient depraved most of our modern foods are 😦
Cause 99% of foods people eat is processed
I mean well technically it is due to the way its promoted, but it is used in the medical field to help with certain conditions, but there's just not enough evidence that supports any long term benefits to the diet its just all anecdotal as of right now. I'm not disagreeing with you though the diet definitely has its short term benefits.
Yeah but the scary thing is a lot of organic certifications are bullshit now
And things we think are healthy are actually pretty prtocessed as well (fish oil pills for example)
I read your article emp its pretty dope
thank you
yeah was that for a college class or something?
yes
Im a pretty strong believer in keto but it is pretty hard to follow
But cutting carbs in general is a pain in the ass
absolutely its tough
it instantly reminded me of college papers haha but it was good
Most of us have parasites in our body that when starved of carbs send relentless singles to the brain for us to eat
interesting, never heard of that before. I'll dig a little deeper into that to learn more about it.
Theres a little starting point if your interested
I'm a strong believer of homeopathy and natural healing remedies
So far as you havent fell seriously seriously ill
How do I gain the self control required not to eat more than 2200 calories per day
thats just sad lol
also duney 2 things that help me cause ik its hard
@violet swan drink more water inbetween and during meals (8x8 rule: 8, 8 ounce glasses of water a day on average). Do not snack before a meal, chances are youre full after a meal so you dont need the snack before hand resist that. Then you can have one later after dinner for example instead of before AND after
other than that I don't really know what your eating patterns are but buy a scale! Weighing food helps a ton and you realize you don't need as much everytime
I have a scale and food scale and drink enough water but when I see food that is tasty I just eat it
again read what i said
its down to will power at the end of the day if youre full after a normal meal dont snack before it
My question was how to gain that will power though
whats your height, weight, bmi if you dont mind?
im 6 ft 170ish and prob about 13-16% body fat
Thats pretty good to maintain that with what you currently eat
but if you must diet keep yourself busy too
go out for a walk instead of roaming your kitchen
dont do things that stress you out too much cause then it leads to stress eating or eating out of boredom
stay out of sight of your kitchen and dont do anything thatll put your mind on food
again its just will power you have to practice and force yourself
there's no magic trick
I think the problem is that I go into my kitchen too often
your stomach will also shrink over time and less will fill you up more
like i said take a walk
Bro eat like 30g of protein for breakfast
Does me fapping or not impact my gaming performance?
depends if the game has a lot of fan service or not
?
Upon orgasm, endorphins are released in the bloodstream and causes relaxation in which can make individuals sleepy; so yes, it can affect your vrt. @violet swan
In before someone makes a “horny girl distracts boyfriend from aim training” porn movie

probably tennis elbow make sure you're not putting any pressure on your forearm/wrist by pushing down into your mousepad for more stopping power if you do
its inflammation in your extensor tendon and you shouldn't have any pain while gaming. You can get fatigued which is normal after a long session but any kind of pain is bad
you can put some ice on your elbow for like 10-15 minutes at a time 3 or 4 times throughout the day and if the pain is really unbearable you can take a little bit of anti-inflammatory medicine
@ivory monolith stay safe bb
I need to take a rest too been feeling some median nerve fatigue/pain don't want carpal tunnel
my hands/arm tend to shake when doing fine tracking and fast clicking (1wall5targets pasu) even when not gripping hard on the mouse. any reasons why or how to prevent?
ive tried doing some and it works for a couple says after. but after some time, i go back to shaking again
thats why you gotta keep doing it. you should be doing it every day for 30 mins - 1 hr
the end goal is to have aim that is silky smooth and not jittery or shaky
until then there is no reason to stop
thx
so i normally keep like 3/4 of my arm on mousepad which is on edge of desk
and ive started to get forearm pain
any tips?
i have an adjustable desk too if theres a certain way to relieve the most pressure
Have anyone experienced mid trap pain while playing and training? My posture seems good but i have pain and stiffness in this area every second day
My palm starts aching when playing kovaaks sometimes. I don't know what causes, it maybe tensing or something but it makes it painfull to go through the routine and demotivates me a lot to continue,
Does anyone know anything about pain/soreness but only in the proximal interphalangeal joint after aiming? (((pinky specifically))) Reduced range of motion too
@little rover I don't know much on it but I did get a soreness there
I took a week break and the pain mostly disappeared
Still a bit sore but enough to actually move my fingers
Maybe time to take a break then :-0
Yeah week or so and you should be good
I switched back to ZA13 and it seems to not come up as much so I was thinking it might be grip but not sure, was just gonna ask here and see if anyone had any experience before I went and got it checked out
I don't know anything about the actual pain or it's cause
How much does being high hinder my improvement for someone that is consistently high all the time... (yes rn included) Most of the times when i played I am and i even peaked while high, until i stopped playing for a bit and fell off.. Like I played while sober a few times, its kinda sad to say it doesn't happen often and I don't notice too much of a difference
Someone knows why when I'm training kovaaks hypnotizes me 😂 , it makes me want to sleep, if anyone knows I could send a message privately
Maybe you are tired and play with a dark color setting?
I do not think, I sleep + 8hrs, and I have the light game
Maybe you're just bored.
Audiobooks
music, podcasts, audiobooks, etc are some nice ways to make kovaaks more interesting
Has anyone here experienced headaches/migraines from playing Kovaak?
Drink more water and take breaks every hour or so
It still hurts? It’s gonna take a bit of time for it to heal has the pain gotten worse
kind of the first time my elbow has been hurting
Oh shoot I’m sorry wrong person it was unans that had the pain my bad
But you probably have inflammation in your tendon in your elbow do you apply pressure to your forearms when aiming? How’s your ergonomics?
@meager ore
yeah I do tense my forearm when aiming
especially when I track close range targets
there's nothing really wrong with my ergonomics
but my desk is a tiny bit higher than my chair's arm rest
it can still go under the desk and still touch it kind of high
not sure if that matters much
unans has pain after all that grinding
start by trying to correct the tensing and ice your elbow 3-4 times throughout the day for only 10 minutes at a time. You can also rest for like a day or two as well.
your scores are prob gonna suck at first, but youll get used to not tensing
okay doc will do
i like helping others
is it a bad thing that my shoulder hurts after like 15-20 min of playing kovaaks?
guys be carful of antidepressants like SSRI and SNRI they really can mess up an aim due to higher serotonine levels, basically hand feels sluggish, some brain fog and lockjaw
yeah antidepressant can effect you negativly in some ways for example when it comes to aiming but it comes down to individual expierence. for some it might have the oppisite effect and lift up brain fog which is often caused by the depression itself. so it makes them overall feel and perform better. dont underestimate the first 2 weeks on an antidepressant. your body needs time to adjust and the side effects will be noticable but in most cases they will disappear after a few weeks
is mental health talked in here?
I’m pretty sure yeah
yup go ahead
@clear token yeah bro but its been like 6 months now, i stopped taking it recently and my body started to feel better however im back again on these pills cuz other issues. I mean, mental health more important than fps games performance 😛 also started experimenting wheter to pop them at morning or to bed to lower these negative effects
like, im probably really susceptible to serotonine related things
you could try 5htp or st johns wort both helped me as much as antidepressants but with less side effects, probably different for every individual tho
not at the same time tho ofc dont do that
My arm feel funny 😔

arm
Tennis elbow is what its called
apparently 😔 ima die of funny arm feeling
ouchie sounds painful
That part of my arm and only that part of my arm is sweating because it hurts 😂
ur arm telling u something there
@odd plaza empy can help you with that
i just
stop drinking plastic water juicer and itll go away

@shrewd shell what can i do doctor
what’s plastic water
lmaoo
our in home doctor
help us
wait wrong guy
@wraith wolf
smh
don’t even know ur own doctor
I was streaming and the water in the water bottle tasted like straight plastic
Ik what plastic tastes like bec biting straws is fun

You guys think ants jizz
how do ants reproduce
good idea
What’s up
@odd plaza empys here
Doc
Howdy
Ew was the water sitting in the sun or something? Cause I’m sure if the plastic bottle heats up it can release some toxins from the plastic into the water

Unless you like toxins in your bloodstream in which can damage your liver or kidneys then yes, but I’m gonna assume no
As for the elbow yeah it’s most likely tennis elbow it’s very common in gamers. It usually happens due to poor ergonomics and no elbow support or by putting pressure on your forearm by pushing down in on your mousepad and tensing. You’re going to want to stop pushing down into your mousepad and fix your chair and desk so that they’re even so you can rest your elbow on your arm rests. Take a rest from gaming, or decrease your time spent gaming and ice your elbow 3-4 times throughout the day for only 10 minutes at the time to help with the tendon inflammation. If the pain is just unbearable you can take a little bit of anti inflammatory medicine to help
Here’s what proper ergonomics looks like that will help
do people not usually put their elbow on their desk?
Some people don’t it’s usually just hanging off the desk or something or elevated due to bad ergonomics
is it better to have it resting on ur desk or is is just preference
You can have it resting on your desk that’s fine
As long as you don’t slouch and you sit straight up
thanks Doc
@wraith wolf thank you babby girl
@shrewd shell
Oh damn that’s right well since you can’t adjust the laptop just make sure your elbows are 90 degrees on the table
can you show arm perspective picture
ye im in same predicament
hard to get good posture
and my arms arent even on table
just my wrist onwards
and only lil arm
yea @wraith wolf plz give some insight with this
How big is the desk it’s the same thing as gaming on a desktop you just can’t adjust the laptop screen vertically so your posture will be a bit off
im on vacation rn thats why im 60hzed but its decent size
can u teach me arm position
im gonna tell u empyrean u do not wanna go from 240 to 60
u dont understand how bad @wraith wolf
rip
you telling me theres both an empyrean and an empyreus in this server?

@wraith wolf arm positioning picture please?
90 degree angles are the best for circulation/health
u are not the health advisor mate
Does anyone know how to really get rid of forearm friction? it really messes me up with games like fortnite that need x and y and does anyone deal with forearm friction if so how bad?
buy a sleeve
what about cutting a sock and turning it into a sleeve is that effective? @pale parcel
i heard that was good too
Recently, I've been getting back into Kovaak's after taking a break due to exams. However, today I'm sleep deprived. Is mouse control still learnable when sleep deprived or is learning too inefficient?
Thats up to you man
Gotta go off how you feel
Just never give up sleeping to train
i dont really get any pain in my wrist or anything
but sometimes i get some pins and needles in my wrist
and my fingers in general are really really numb with no grip strength
Is it normal that when I am playing kovaaks my hand becomes hard / tense with the tracking? it's something I do but I don't know whether to leave it like that or better to do tracking without forcing myself so much
got to actively think about relaxing
@swift shard please go make an appointment with your doctor, those are symptoms of carpal tunnel
As mon said, actively remind yourself to stay relaxed and to stop tensing. Your scores will be a little off, but once you get used to it you’ll feel a lot better
@swift shard is it the thumb and index finger or ring and pinky?
hey
sorry for the late reply
i will try and take a break for a week
see if it improves
and it seems to be every finger @eternal dock @wraith wolf
no pain just numbness
It could be a pinched nerve in the neck or shoulder
Def worth going to the dr for
Most people here reccomend it for small things but that could potentially be something bad in the future if not taken care of.
too many factors
sometimes lack of sleep can actually make you faster
the body is odd
Does someone have a calisthenic forearm focus exercise or program?
@wraith wolf why my pp small

@calm sapphire When tired your body will use reserve energy to keep you awake and you might feel more alert. Dont try to go into that state often for the sake of performance; those reserves arent infinite and will only withstand ~2 days of bad sleep.
After that youll just be sluggish all day
@mystic abyss Multifaceted reasoning. Major part is genetics, but a small amount of that is lifestyle. Nutrition during your childhood years, activity and even your underwear to a lesser extent can have an impact. If youre at the age now where youre questioning it, its too late to do anything about naturally. Can consult Doctor if very concerned 👍
@upper folio IDK about calisthenics, but if youve got heavy weights or any alternative, about half your body mass, hold one in each hand and take 50 steps, take a break and repeat for a total of 3x. Theyre called farmer carries. That will work your forearms pretty heavy. All other advice i could give involves gym equipment, sorry.
I'll surely incorporate more isolation exercises for my forearm
I'm a sucker for compounds xD
rowing is just good cardio in general
Try to do some cardio after every workout
ive read its better to do them after
doing it before tires you out for the strength exercises. I do a 2km row sprint after every workout
i mean if you're doing light/medium light cardio
it will only warm your body up
idk i learn that way
but i will surely try your advice
For warmups it may be better to do stretches. Light cardio isnt worth doing in my opinion because it burns so few calories and does so little for you. As a warm up, i guess its okay.
I'm focusing on gaining
I think that's why my coach don't make me do cardio after my workout
except in certain program we do hiit at the end
hard gainer
cardio in general doesnt burn many calories. Its more for general health than slimming when done like this
You do cardio to love more
you do musculation to hug better
*weight training
musculation is a french term
I plan to wakeup at 7 now so i might go for a jog 10min every morning
and do my workout during the afternoon
How can I fix my sleep schedule?
lmaoooo
- Go to bed 30 minutes earlier each day. 2. Stay up an entire day and go to bed at night. 3. Attempt a nap instead of sleeping.
You can fix your sleeping schedule by not being on electronics 1 hour before bed and going to sleep at a desired time and set an alarm at a time you would wish to start waking up at. If you have trouble falling asleep you can take some melatonin to begin supporting a healthy sleep cycle short term and once you adjust to your new schedule you can stop taking melatonin
Also avoid naps and exercising during the day can definitely help a lot
How to reduce hand sweat? I've never been this sweaty before i met KovaaK
have a towel with you to wipe your hands and wash your hands frequently the sweat could be from nerves when you're about to beat a high score
@modern wedge
Okay, thank you doc
How do I stop my mind from thinking before I actually fall asleep?
As In overthinking
Dont focus on any one thought
let the thoughts flow through your mind
dont try to blank your mind, but dont focus on any passing thought either
practice that a bit when trying to sleep
And if you want to fix your sleep, set an alarm early so that you get less sleep than usual and are tired the next day. Youll be ready to sleep earlier. Set an alarm so that you get slightly more sleep that night but less than usual so that youll be tired at a similar time the next night
And then you should be okay @hallow heron
Thank you @simple birch
But I couldn’t get any sleep tonight I’ll see if I can sleep at a respectable time today
You can try supplements to help relax a bit while going to bed. nothing too crazy like sleeping pills. you can try magnesium glycinate for example 1-2 hour before you go to bed. Not gonna say it is a huge game changer when it comes to sleep but it can defenitly help some people to relax and lessen anxiety or overthinking/racing thoughts. essentially it is a magnesium supplement but with a good bioavailability. also stuff like lavender tea might help to relax a bit more.
@hallow heron how many times did you masturbate?
those are rookie numbers in this racket
does adderall improve ur aim
Yes
(dont do adderall to improve aim tho)
it doesn't literally improve your aim anyway
it makes you more focused
which can make you hit more shots/improve your reaction time
It's a performance enhancing drug
It’s not as life changing as you would think of you don’t have adhd though
You would focus better yes
But if your baseline concentration and focus is fine
Then it wouldn’t be as different compared to a person who has adhd
It’s not as life changing as you would think of you don’t have adhd though
@meager ore wish i could relate..
i take elvanse (vyvanse) for adhd treatment. it is also a stimulent. it helps with the symptomes that come along with ad(h)d. i can shift my focus better on the things i want to do or need to do. it also helps with another symptome called emotional dysregulation which is a really nasty and uncomfortable one for me. basicly negative emotions like frustration, anger, feeling of rejection or unfair critisism are felt to an extreme level and change the way you see and think about things when you are in that state even if you know it doesnt make any sense.
so what these adhd meds do is basicly getting the part of the brain that dont function "properly" to a normal functioning level so it lessen the symptomes. if you are perfectly fine it doesnt really give you anything because your brain functions on a normal level. there is no push beyond that other than maybe feeling a bit more awake and alert ( it is stimulating afterall).

@clear token what is your experience being off vyvanse? Just being curious here since I was using that before I took the decision of stopping meds...
@tender valley for me it was the first med that actually helped me. tried so many different things also non medication things and nothing really helped. being off vyvanse i feel a bit sluggish and it takes me more time to get things done but this is basicly how its been before i took it
@clear token Alright I’m asking that since I actually stopped taking Vyvanse due to side affect (prob is). I was feeling way less emotion/just being not expressive at all, more irritable/grumpy. Was getting way more things done and way focused on other stuff (maybe too much sometimes).
Wondered if you had a similar experience aha
side effects are not a problem for me somehow. little bit of rebound but thats it. rebound on medikinet was waaaaaay worse
its basicly the same as ritalin. same active ingredient
My hand has recently become dry and a bit more sensitive, making it unfomfortable to hold the mouse for extended periods of time 20+ minutes. Would moisturiser do the trick?
alright thanks
because I thought it was because I was holding my mouse too hard
but it's been a thing for the past week.
I never used to take moisturiser because I never really had any issues, but I'll start applying it daily. thanks for the heads up, if this is the fix then I'm very happy
daily is perfect, and np
lots of people like glossy cause they say there hands are too dry. A lot just dont use lotion, which can help mouse grip if hands are properly moisturized
Well yeah most peoples hands hurt if they squeeze something hard
and depends on how youre gripping that object etc
It's just been something I've felt recently when I'm generally holding my mouse, doesn't have to be a tense grip
could be bad blood flow in your hand too
like if your elbow sits lower than your hand, I have this problem because my desk is way too high but ill be getting an adjustable one soon
you can tell if your hand also gets cold/clammy commonly
Is it normal for my pinky finger to hurt after practice ?
When I grip my mouse, (ftip), my biceps and the wrist start shaking a lot and feel jittery? Any fixes, and is this normal?

3 weeks into lifting again, ez
@ebon thicket stonks
@ebon thicket what app that
Health Mate and the Withings body+ scale
16 aud per week no contract for gym sound good?
That's good
why no monthly subscription?
I think I grip my mouse too hard
😭
😂😂😭 nah for real I fell off an electric scooter

anyone have a HM chair
I’ve used the Aeron for a while since my dad had it
It’s the most comfortable chair I’ve sat in for sure
I want to try the new embody but I’m going to wait
anyone know a good wrist compression sleeve/glove? i sprained my wrist years ago and i have been having problems with my wrist and area around my thumb and my index finger. It will get stiff sometimes making it hard and sometimes a bit painful to move. If i rotate my thumb it will make those weird cracking sound but i dont think its the bone
hey i currently have a muscle pain in my back
this part
the left tendant i guess
could use some help
idk if it is from the eid or from everyday gaming
i think its from the eid
eid mubarak
yeah i have a pinching pain there as well when I carry heavy stuff or do any heavy back workouts its from the eid
Scapula pain from carrying heavy things could mean you have a weakness there
you can do facepulls and back workouts and posture work to fix this
Everyone should do face pulls
interesting ill add those to shoulder/back days
It tasted insanely good, if I can cook it better next time its a 10/10
Macros are insane, 80+ grams protein

does carpal tunnel cause permanent damage?
@ebon thicket did you follow the video or find a recipe somewhere
I followed the video, few ingredients and easy to make. Greg Doucette anabolic toast on Youtube @worthy cloud
I'm making it tomorrow
Nooooice! You wont regret it
My hand hurts a lot these days
Although I only do 1hr routine in almost 2hrs with enough breaks and stretches
I drink water too, healthy diet, 8hrs sleep everyday
Doesn't play any other games aswell
There's pain in the wrist and in my elbow
My positioning is also good
Watch SDK's handcam its almost the same
Is it normal for my pinky joint to hurt when switching grips. I use to not put my pinky on the side of mouse and now I am
I just almost failed a heavy bench set with nobody else around
But i survived
Yes @burnt goblet
At least when I switch mice my fingers are sore for a day
Seems normal if its not too painful
What about if the pinky always hurts after long sessionş
My bench is fucking abysmal and wont improve @worthy cloud
Ive run smolov Jr, Gillingham 12 week bench, and nsuns 531
Theyre all good depending on your goals
Smolov is brutal
I'm benching 2 times a week atm
@ebon thicket whats your typical bench day look like?
2 a week fits the 12 week program
Usually 3 sets and 5-7 reps, but now I'm going for atleast 5 sets with 9-12 reps
Hmm
Which metric system is this
Since it goes by percentage I don't think it matters if you use lb or kilo
You could try this program
Depends how long you've been benching
Linear programs would work better if you're newer
I cant even bench my own weight right now, I would really like to blame shitty technique
@ebon thicket I also see a lot of newer guys at the gym not doing a proper warmup
My bench always been dreadful, even when I was lifting alot few years ago
You have to like it enough to do the sets that aren't any fun
Maybe you need to mix up your technique
Doing stuff like pin presses and spoto press also have helped me push my bench higher
Gonna start benching with a friend whos a powerlifter ish, maybe he can tell why I suck
More volume per week
Bench like 3x a week
You'll see alot of gains
Or just add in a dumbell bench day
Theres this stinging in my right index fingertip. I don't squeeze my mouse nor do I mash m1. What should I do about it?
i just about threw my mouse across the room because of how terrible im doing today, but then i remembered I stayed up for like 22 hours straight and then slept for like 9 hours and that might have something to do with it.
i really need to get a proper sleep schedule going
Did you try it? @worthy cloud
Is it okay to do the wrist stretching upon waking up in the morning?
Is it okay to still train while my elbow is bit sore from yesterday ?
im starting to have blurry vision, and I think its either because of lack of sleep or because im playing too much
should I take a break?
i think you answered your own question
most likely. when i am sleep deprived i also have blurry vision and feel pretty dizzy
and dont have proper balance
so id get some sleep
if i were u
and didnt feel anything
yeah
its really difficult when ur dog wakes u up every 4 hours
tranq him
lmfao
well im glad other people get the same thing
well
im not
but
im glad it isnt anything permanent
yup
ty for the help
Lower your monitor brightness, too.
I used to crank it at 100.
Completely ignorant to the lighting in my room.
28 is fine for mine. Find a sweet spot.
You'll adjust, too. I thought 28 was too dim but now even 50 can be bright.
I just saw this but thats really helpful
thanks
I used to have it at 0 when it was night time with lights of
off
I should stop if it hurts, even a little, am I correct?
playing kovaaks a lot
I will
and then play cs or some shit
and like gradually work it up again or idk
or just be like me and lose al motivation to play kvks and gradually become more shit :>
I'm on the verge of losing motivation tho
I'm getting better at everything besides benchmarks lmao
i stopped benches a month ago
when I jitter click my arm hurts any tips
Minecraft PvP?
no using pistols I usually get into clicking duels in pistol rounds on val
I hit my shots but they usually out click me
headshots are a two hit so bloom usually prevents headshot kills
Ive been wrist aiming for a while and noticing slight pains in my wrist which i broke a few years back, any stretches or exercises to help combat this, should i start arm aiming too?
@steel spear have you tried kastors routine?
what is that
Its linked in the pins for this channel
Maybe
think main one is pins and needles in fingers
I don't have any pain really just feeling a bit stiff and was slightly sore in the morning when I woke up but now I'm not
Im doing the reactivity training so it's a bit intense
Whats a good pinky finger exercise/ stretch? i switched to 1-3-1 a few days ago and my pinky gets a little sore after about an hour
i really need help its only a little but when i play i shake a little bit and i wanna fix it
and in everyday life
Have any of these kids who lie about their reaction times actually streamed themselves doing the test enough times to say with certainty that it’s statistically significant? I just read some idiot thinks he has a 130ms reaction time. Like, there are scientific studies on this stuff.
Edit: I should make it clear I’m talking their supposed reaction times while using their computers. There’s definitely some humans with 130ms reaction times (especially to auditory stimuli), but that’s not including the system and display latency of a computer, and that’s an absolute peak (easily verifiable with multiple studies). That essentially means people are claiming to average one of fastest visual reaction times recorded by a human.
Whats a good pinky finger exercise/ stretch? i switched to 1-3-1 a few days ago and my pinky gets a little sore after about an hour
@forest sentinel I'm not sure, probably DrLevi has some or Kastor's guide perhaps
i really need help its only a little but when i play i shake a little bit and i wanna fix it
@cunning ridge Very vague description you gave us, but healthy lifestyle (good sleep, exercise, proper nutrition etc. helps)
@violet swan I've seen people screen recording themselves get an average score in the 130s on human benchmark
I can average 145 and I'm not even young
But getting human benchmark scores is a skill you can practice
Doesn't mean much
Kevin is a real gamer
don't think 130 is impossible considering how many people take the test
I avg like 180
I also play on an expensive high end pc and monitor and mouse that are optimized for low latency
Ah
what mouse kevin
What? Please have someone stream themselves doing the test 100 times and having an average of 130ms afterwords.
Like, omega fucking lik.
Lul
Not happening
It doesn’t matter what people think, anecdotal evidence, or anything like that.
Exactly. ^
It can’t happen.
Ive seen at least one person average below 140
Doesn’t matter still.
Yeah whenever I hit an average in the 140s I'm on a lot of caffeine
They’d have to keep doing the test enough where you can be sure it’s statistically significant as I said...
So, that’s much more than 1,000 times
Like lol
It’s called an average for a reason
Nah
I’m only stating facts.
100 should be good or 50
1000 is so tedious no one would sit through that unless they're getting payed to do it for a study
Lolol
It doesn’t fucking matter
Someone would have to
To prove it
Which is the point
Of the original post
That some idiot says he averages under 140ms for example
But does the test 5 or 10 times
And not only that
The thing with reaction time is that it has so many variables
You would only be able to perform the test once
People hitting 130 or so for 10 in a row aren't necessarily faking it
Im.not saying its a legit test
It wouldn’t be
Like you said
Drink caffeine
And do it 10 times in 5-10 minutes
You’ll be surely faster by 5 me
Ms
Sleep 8 hours instead of 6, you’re on average 15ms faster
I been getting better reaction times though
Many factors
I use to avg 220
That’s because you perform the same test
LOL
That wouldn’t work@my dude
I’m sorry
I think people obsess over their scores and it's silly
You couldn’t keep replaying humanbenchmark
And say your reaction time has improved
Because the test stimulus is the exact same
Your brain will adapt my bruh
All I was saying is that a score in the 130s 10 times in a row is possible
Nah this is after a long time of kovakks
Your reaction time hasn’t gotten better most likely though
Yes it has
You’ve become accustomed to a change from red to green
Premed student vs Kovaaks Player
It hasn’t
Well it is also possible to improve your actual reaction time
Which is me reacting faster to it
Regardless of what you think
If it has
It’s not significant
@worthy cloud like with practice?
It is though
You dont see pros with slow rt
Every study points towards that being the same
Basically you can practice your 'ready state'
Lul
You can also half click the mouse key
And cheat the test
Like what?
I’m talking improving the actual reactivity of your body
It won’t be significant
UNLESS
For the purpose of gaming its effectively the same thing
You’re deformed
And got it fixed
That could help
Okay, if you’re talking about improving your score on humanbenchmark after 5 tries
You’re definitely right
If you’re talking an actual average
Let’s say you could extrapolate our one million clicks
Then you’d have a very comfortable average
An EXACT number
I dont think its even worth looking into that deeply
Just play games and live healthy
That’s why people study different stuff
Don't worry about test scores
Well that specific test yes
Reaction time in general
I find interesting
It’s more than gaming
It’s your health
There are so many variables and distractions
People will have faster reaction times also test higher, get to better school, get higher educations
Now the studies here are sparse
How can you even determine a person's genuine relation time as a statistic
So not much data
But I believe it
For example
Physically fit people have faster reaction times
Usually people with lower BMIs
Lots of health related things
Not that bmi is important, just a metric
Ok
I’m interested in real shit
Fuck that other stuff
It’s like politics
We all get our own opinions
But health I think can be factual
What do you think would be a legit test to study reaction times
I’ve been trying to think of one
There are much more accurate ways to test it
That’s are available
Normal people just don’t do it
Lol
Like this tv show called “Superhuman” with Stan lee
Had this master swordsman
I saw
He cut an arrow right
Oh yeah
I saw another guy cut an arrow as well
Maybe the same guy on another show
Maybe
But it’s beautiful
In my opinion
Just to see that I couldn’t react that quick
Well even the top kovaaks players don't really care about human benchmark scores
Is what I actually like
Most of them are idiots for now
I can’t wait for 5-10 years from now
Lol
That autocorrect sucked lol
I'm curious about pro hockey goalie reaction times
Thats my athletic background, ice hockey
Ye
I could look it up later, watching a podcast right now, but it was probably just hockey. It was something aggressive I’m pretty sure, so hockey and rugby was what I thought of, take these words with a grain of salt, because I can’t be sure.
yo @worthy cloud when I can get back to the gym who knows when
do you know good macro count for clean bulking?
hmm
like e.g. 5g protein per pound of body weight etc
usually they say 2.2g of protein per kg of lean body mass
i used to have decent numbers but looking online has conflicting stuff
tbh I'm not so good at the diet info, I have a coach who makes meal plans for me
but I do my own gym programming
right i figured dieting is a whole other thing
how much you pay for that kind of thing?
I got lucky and managed to get into a group where I get it for free
oh damn thats nice
I'm not sure how much they charge for paying clients
I know there is a lot of good free info for dieting online
ye ye im just being kind of lazy cause i found it all in the past
I only really know the general rules
im researching into it again
iill be hitting you up for a good routine for gaining muscle tho to save me trouble when my gym opens lol

maybe try this to get a general idea of a meal plan https://www.custommealplanner.com/
I've never used it personally but I've been recommended it before
could use it to just ballpark your macros
