@lavish pivot ty ill check it out
ive been going to mcdonalds roughly 100 times per year
once every 3 or 4 days
rate my health
solid 3/10
fast food
I'm 19yo and a freshman in college if anyone needs nutrition/exercise advice!
time to be healthy guys
GG @naive valley, you just advanced to level 1 !
Sleep
Your Torracat is now level 32!
more practice =/= better performance
GG @naive talon, you just advanced to level 1 !
Gotta be good practice
practice half dead is bad i think :/
What if it's more GOOD practice?
hard to do when you're tired
Deep sleep helps you learn
damn
i cant get to sleep till 3 am after being in bed for 4 hours
and then i wake up
and im tired
and im like
bruhhhhhhhhh
Try going to sleep earlier @dapper solar
like get in bed 2 hours earlier than u normally would
and fix your sleep schedule
i have tried going to sleep at like 6
and i end up sitting there until 9
and then i go to sleep for a certain time
but its always different
I don't feel like blue light affects me like this but I read somewhere that it can cause people to take longer to fall asleep. But I don't think it was hours but maybe try putting your phone down before you get in bed
Might be your health
One of my friends take melatonin but some people say that stops working
ill try not touching my phone for the rest of the day and try to get to sleep as soon as im in bed
and
thanks for the advice cole
i dont know yet but it could be a life changer
I haven't had any issues with falling asleep so maybe someone else could be more help but I'm always happy to help, if it works lmk!
ill update you in the morning, thanks again man!
@dapper solar
Try melatonin
Like the dissolve tablet things
Take it like 10 minutes before bed, I use them to fix my sleep schedule. And it's suppperrrr helpful
This is my specialty
@dapper solar Try to consult medical specialists as well. Make sure you know what you're putting in your body at all times. Being conscious about your health is a vital step in improving it, as opposed to going on autopilot
Yeah relying on supplements to fix your sleep schedule isn't exactly healthy imo
yeah if ur having trouble sleeping just watch sini's stream ROFLMAO
JUST JOKING! GOD
F
GG @oak orbit, you just advanced to level 33 !
Having a more consistent sleep schedule helps with staying asleep during the night as well as falling asleep. Also try to eliminate any light in your room. Also don't eat right before bed or atleast make it something small like an apple or something (I think I read that 2-3 hours was a good time to have a last meal). I'll link the article in a sec that goes more in depth. Oh yeah, and make sure you got the temperature at a cooler temp (like 67 (Fahrenheit) or somethin, i personally set mine to 65 at night)
Something that helped me stay asleep in the night was a weighted blanket. It's worth looking into, a lot of people see big improvement while using one
Your Espeon is now level 55!
67 fahrenheit = 19.4444444 degrees Celsius
ye, my bad
16-20 degrees are fine:)
I eat around 695 calories on a usual day give or take some other variables
What are some good snacks so I don’t eat icecream everyday
Protein bars, protein shakes, yogurt, nuts, fruits & vegetables @violet swan
Protein bars and protein shakes can taste good depending on which ones you get
there are almonds and other nuts that have seasoning or something on them that taste great
try every fruit again bc you will like more than just strawberries
GG @naive talon, you just advanced to level 2 !
Premier protein shakes taste great and are amazing for you
they have a ton of flavors
and those almonds that I linked SMACK
Just dont eat too much of them at once lol
@violet swan
Fruits are good snacks, in moderation of course
Protein shakes are good snacks. Could add fruit and TBSP honey
Bananas work well with mine
Portion of a bowl of cereal
Sandwich with most healthy things you can think of just to make them more delicious
Mini-salad of your choice
Even ifit's a caesar salad you order from somewhere
Small bread sticks are pretty satiating and good
Especially those with thyme
Everything in moderation is fine
Even ice cream
My experience with protein bars is limited. I never liked them, but surely there are some decent ones out there
Again, always in moderation
most protein bars are really high in sugar and switch it up with the serving sizes just research protein bars and fidn the ones that are actually good for you and not a half a pack of oreos
imo protein bars are just disgusting
In my personal experience if you want/trying to diet switch things up and find what works best for your body following one certain diet may not work for you
Just eat 4 bananas
Your Charizard is now level 95!
Easy
or toast w/ peanut butter and slices of banana (or banana chips)
GG @violet swan, you just advanced to level 3 !
What about toast with butter

@naive talon isnt protein shake boost your metabolism though
GG @weak oxide, you just advanced to level 10 !
You constantly feel hungry at one point. Ofc it is good since if you combine with workout diet and resting you can push muscle but still.

what nutrition is good?
These are actually pretty good @violet swan
@violet swan so you get an understanding of what can be considered 'healthy' https://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/educational/lose_wt/eat/calories.htm
A healthy eating plan gives your body the nutrients it needs every day while staying within your daily calorie goal for weight loss.
omega-3 is great @violet swan
Nobody reacted to the dude eating 695 calories a day? Probably dead at this point
Let him life his life. Like damn
No pain no gain
Carpaltunnelsyndrom hurts aswell
Your Charmeleon is now level 28!
I hope they fix that in the next version of life
https://gmb.io/wrists/ Good Exercises For Before and/or After Routine
10/10 should pin again
700 calories a day for how long
Im inclined to say thats more than enough but Ive never restricted long enough
to really say if thats livable
Take 1 day off maybe
700kcal deficit or total?
700 more then enough? You do realise you burn 1500+ calories a day by doing nothing? That would put you in a huge calorie deficit. If hes not obese its actually dangerous for you.
700 calories is way too low, and I dont think thats too sustainable over time
A overweight man fasted for over a year. Didn't eat anything just water and electrolytes.
bold of you to assume im not 600 pounds
@violet swan try 1500 i would say
ben unmuted
haha ye
I did say overweight no?
wait 700 calories a day?
that's a yikus
you already burn around 2k calories a day
by doing absolutely nothing
I probably ate like 1000cals per day for like 4months
not really
wdym not really
My metabolism wen't back to normal after like 3 days of eating regularly
talking to kelos
i am kleos
ye
what is starving to you?
where you eat 700 calories a day
If I get nutrients and after your body gets used to the eating windows so you're only hunger around them its not that bad
If ur eating 700 calories u need to eat more
GG @violet swan, you just advanced to level 4 !
Give it a google and u can find what u need calorically to maintain lose and gain weight
The protein carbs and fats are the not as necessary part
But u need more than 700 calories and can lose weight more efficiently while still eating more
Consider eating more protein
Any weight gain tips for high metabolism people? I weigh 135lbs and literally cannot gain weight. I was eating twice as much and drinking 1200 calorie protein shakes for a couple months and never gained a pound
Actually lost 2lbs
How old are you
21 @arctic moat
Yes I need to work out. I feel like I could get jacked pretty quickly as well
Considering i did a couple weeks in grip strength training and people noticed the difference in my forearms lol
i worked out for a bit and gained weight but i can't stick to it
it's way too much time / effort for me to put in with school and other stuff atm
I would prefer to do basic at home shit instead of going to a gym
yeah that's what i did
i just have a set of dumbbells and a pull up bar
i stopped doing a full routine kinda thing and just now do push-ups / pull ups everyday
keeps me alive and well
It's not just working out though, your nutrition is even more important
he's trying to gain weight so you literally just gotta bulk and build muscle
You have to eat the right foods and get the right nutrients to effectively gain muscle, it's even possible to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time
I shall just switch hands when I masturbate ez
i have the same thing where my metabolism doesnt give me any weight
even if i eat a proper diet
i have a pretty poor diet tbh
but I dont gain weight from it so I dont really have a reason to switch it (not saying its right, but I dont have the drive that some people have to make the switch)
Basically, if you eat "alot" and dont gain any weight, youre not eating enough
I forgot what it's called but the method I was talking about gain muscle but lose or even out on fat, is the best
Simple as that
jolly idk
no jolly i've eaten quite a lot before
i just don't gain weight at a rate an average person would
It's on Atlethe X's channel
i'm assuming same goes for taz where even if you try to eat more you just end up the same
I used to be extremely skinny, I had to go over 3K+ calories a day in order to gain weight
I thought I was eating enough for years, but nah not enough
idunno when i was working out to gain weight i was eating quite a lot
Why would you work out to gain weight
I mean I was taking in maybe 1500 plus 1200 calorie shake with 70g protein, plus physical job and side jobs, then lost some weight from it
i would just nonstop have eggs for breakfast and then chicken / rice / broccoli for my lunches and dinner
and then a shake
yea
Work-out to gain muscle
sini i don't weight anything
muscles give you more weight than fat
Come on now.. You barely gain any muscle if you dont eat enough
so i worked out so i wasn't sub 100 pounds
You cant just go to the gym 7 days a week and then eat 1K calories a day and wonder why the fuck youre not building any muscle
You might get lean, but youre not building any muscles.
And people with higher fat % build muscle faster compared to people with low %
Know your body, contact nutritionist so you get an idea of what you need to eat and stick to it. Get the right nutrients everyday and work-out properly you'll see results.
Its simple, if youre eating alot and not gaining any weight youre not eating enough.
While I agree, I think the issue is that high metabolism dudes like Tony and I have to go to extremes for that. I mean I was eating until I was almost sick. I doubled my calorie intake and was drinking shakes and saw nothing. Its difficult to eat a lot.
That's actually not the right way to go about it jolly, you have to eat the right food for it to be healthy just going after calories will not yield results
We cant just eat an extra egg in the AM and maybe an extra plate of dinner. We have to literally eat like 6 meals a day and dont gain anything
its insane

Thats 3K calories, pretty much what I ate when I tried to gain weight
dudes a chad
GG @unreal citrus, you just advanced to level 17 !
I'm not saying that you should eat like him, but if youre on a calorie deficit for months, try eating more and you'll feel so much better.
Ill try to eat more Jolly. Need to find a way to quickly absorb it though because I physically have issues eating a lot
I mean I get sick if I eat too much
It sucks
Well when I did it for a while I began to get used to it but the only thing that happened was I shit more
lol
my body just sucks in any and all calories then promptly shits it all out
basically to get to 150 I need to take in 3k calories and around 150g protein according to a calc
I started at 2K a day
Then 2200, then 2400
We're all different
3K worked well for me
i mean I was at 2500 and lost weight so idk if that extra 500 calories would make me gain or not
Roughly 3 months from 6'2, 143 pounds to 185 pounds
But I did cardio + weight lifting and my exercise was all over the place
dude i work with when from fat to jacked in like 6 months and now hes addicted to working out and is running some crazy obstacle course
Same with a friend of mine now she is a bodybuilder took her more than a year though
a chick i went to school with was like that. shes jacked af im scared of her
but shes so nice
so its weird
bruh 105 you are actually underweight
im like borderline
at 130
@limpid finch do you have a gf/mom?
just tell her to cook her ass off for you gg ez weight gain
nah i don't really need to gain that much weight
my doctor always tells me im underweight but it's not something to really worry about
cause it's not like im unhealthy underweight with an eating disorder or something
Holy fuck 105
I don't think I've been 105 since like 6th grade
fbi open up @zenith badge
that actually looks good af why havent i had this yet
no clue
dang
rice cakes are op tho
rice cakes with peanutbutter also 10/10
Im 114 5’9
GG @frank dragon, you just advanced to level 35 !
My doctor tells me im obese lol
Does anyone have a really short and simple stretching/mobility routine for before a workout? I wanna go heavier but already had a small hamstring injury like a few weeks ago and I'm afraid that if I go any heavier I will get injured again
Should I do a stretching routine before I play?
What's the benefit of that though?
You ask before playing so I would say wrist
Exercise in general obv helps staying healthy
and getting up to stretch etc
I would say read through this @vapid hawk https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/stretch-before-exercising/
@fir What lift dou you want to stretch for? When going heavy you should do dynamic stretches before starting each compound lift.
GG @vapid hawk, you just advanced to level 7 !
Stretching does little to nothing in terms of injury prevention tho you just increase your range of motion
If you wanna push for PR's just do your warm-up and that's it
i usually just hold a squat on my lowest point for a few secs with bar only a couple times
and just bar only squats for warmup, then gradually increase weight
Also are those calculated 1RM?
yes, but in theory since I'm still only 6 months in. I'm adding about 5/10kg to deadlift every workout and 5kg to squat
How many reps/sets?
got a 110kgx2 deadlift yesterday so I'm hoping to keep getting PR's until I stall
my 1rm is probably higher, but most of the time it's not really realistic
Seems like a good progression tbh
I was on SL 5x5 for 8 weeks which was a huge mistake. And probably on Reddit PPL for about 4 months.
Now I'm doing PHUL since I have school again and can't go 6 times a week
5x5 is a good program if you opt in for the assistance
If you do it right it'll get you to a good base
also, idk why the fuck but I can't do a pullup
am weak in back
ive always trained it but not strong in that department
Anyways dude I wouldn't stress about your 1RM too much it's not bad ... When you plateu you could get the 1.25kg plates and stretch it out a little further or just decrease reps etc
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfGNjYogpiE watch that fir
ty
i have a problem with not eating enough lol
2 scoops in the morning 2 in the evening
i ate 1500 calories for a few months, thinking it was good
1500 isnt even my tdee
now I average 2600 calories with a 2800 tdee
Just run smolov
ive heard of smolov, never really knew what it was tho
Are you cutting?
im trying my best to eat maintenance but i have to force myself to eat some of the time lol
Yeah well then no wonder your approaching a plateu
If you really can't get yourself to eat more you can go for a mass gainer
ill stick with greek yoghurt, bread and chicken for now xd
Milk + Whey + PB + oats
264kg dl is ur max and u did 110x2?
Is a quick easy shake that's great on abulk
sorry my fault for mixing them up xd
@limber nacelle my breakfast is always greek yoghurt + protein powder + banana/kiwi
its godly
plus coffee
I feel like a lot of beginner programs neglect bench and ohp
those are my weakness tbh
Bruh OHP is my nemesis
i have to wear a belt for 30kg OHP because my lower back dies
I love ohp
I hate that exercise with a passion
Ya kinda
Id only do a seated ohp tbh
I weigh 266lb
Fuck standing
i weigh 168 lmao
I skip both
is it true that if u are younger but the same weight as someone older that ur still weaker by standard
Just dont drop it
4Head
He dies as this is the rule of fitness
Gym fails are the funniest, people doing 1/4 squats with super heavy weight
Speaking of dropping ... Some dude dropped a dumbbell on his spotters foot today and broke his toes 😂 👌
When I first started I did squats on the smith machine (idk why), and I lost balance and almost got 70kg barbell on my head lmao
it was fkn akward
because so many people were staring
Also no clue what they were doing ... Like why did he even have a guy spotting dumbbell incline bench
With 10s
Wat
Lol
interesting lmao
And how the fuck can you drop it so far behind you to hit another guy's foot
My only powerlifting meet i was 16 and my coach flaked so one of his guys wrapped my knees and he fucked up the wrap
It came undone while descending and i went straight down
Spotters barely had me
One dude asked me to spot bench for him ... 190kg ... was my second week in the gym and I was solo
Dude died last year due to heart failure

3 guys taped out last year .... They all were big as fuck and they all had heart problems
I wonder what happened
Your Persian is now level 61!
guys do you guys have any teqs to release pressure when playing
Pressure as in what like when people are watching you? Or like for smoothness
@violet swan oh i mean mentally like pressure in your chest ik weird question
So anxiety probably
I know the feeling for sure
Deep breathing can definitely help. You could also try something like this https://www.anxietycanada.com/sites/default/files/MuscleRelaxation.pdf
Your Espeon is now level 56!
ah ty @violet swan it reminds me of teq i forgot where you make your body tense when breathing in and release when breathing out thanks man
Yes!!! I do this kind of stuff to help me fall asleep sometimes as well
i love the fact that sparky has a health channel now, this is so sick
get multivitamins, omega3, and L-theanine (or drink green tea) to help not feel sluggish all the time, the l-theanine (min. 20mg) is to help with relaxation and anxiety
imo l-theanine works best when taken before tournaments, otherwise it starts losing it's effect.
GG @warm loom, you just advanced to level 1 !
@limber nacelle Imagine being stupid and thinking that steroids are gonna kill you if you use proper dosages and go to your doctor for regular check ups
Using 3 gym rats as evidence
🤡
nice roid rage
l theanine tolerance shouldn't be a thing
is l theanine goated or n
@hoary ridge nice implying ...
I never said that roids are going to kill you when used properly but ok ... It's obvious that they didn't use them right ....
Also imagine insulting other people because you don't get sarcasm 🤔
@arctic moat
Regarding what you said
All it does it just boost what your body naturally does
Doesn't negatively effect your body, much if at all
From my experience anyways
It's not addictive either
Which is a nice bonus
If used properly melatonin supplements are a healthy way to regulate your sleep
But you could also do what I did and just build tolerance to it
And never sleep again

^^
I haven't slept since 2004
you'll get it eventually
My mom has taken them for 1-2 years and hasn't had a problem
there's gonna be nights where even after taking it
you're not gonna fall asleep
so you're gonna need higher dosages
yeah a month isn't enough to build a tolerance
I've been using it off and on for a lot longer than 2 years
it's similar to caffeine
A literally can't sleep without it
you'll start to develop a need for it
I get like 2 hours of sleep
after a few months
Well I'll let you know if eventually any problems occur
just don't get a dependency on it and you'll be good
Let me know I 5 or 6 years how it's going
also regulate yourself
I legit take 1
You should be fine
Dont worry about it
Just make sure you take it when you're lying down to sleep
Generally am super anti drug, so me doing this is a crazy turning point
I would take it then get distracted and stay up for a few hours
That's why I ended up needing more
Ah
yea take it right before you go to lie down to sleep
I have been
usually it takes like 15-30 minutes for it to kick in
So far
so when i took melatonin i'd take a shower and do my other nightly stuff and i couldn't fall asleep as easily
though now i don't need it cause i'm pretty good at controlling my sleep habits it's just whether if i want to sleep or not
bru h if I take melatonin does that break my 5 days of sobriety
i use melatonin every night
helps me fall asleep in like an hour
but the cons to it is, it makes you sleep for fucking ever
@ebon thicket bruh I realised that 1800 calories is the minimum maybe I should eat more bread

Is that real
Im intimidated by that thing
same
Everything goes on a bulk

I feel like I've seen way crazier burgers
@formal lotus Did you try it? I wanna try it 😄
Hey I’ve been getting some pain recently after playing and aim training. How often do you guys stretch and what stretches are you doing?
Do it in between runs and before playing
Search for dr levi harrison on yt
Dr Levi stretches are decent I think
Good wrist exercises to prevent injury

@arctic moat if you're going to add in the apple cider vinegar we talked about then you should also include the mother which has proteins in the vinegar

GG @chilly badge, you just advanced to level 1 !
So, who here has attempted / finished a 48h no sleep run @ any % glitchless ?
can anyone explain why a different mouse pad gives me wrist discomfort lol
Odd question, maybe the thickness of the pad or the fabric
I'm scared of getting RSI
might need to learn how to operate OS and browser without mouse
even then
ergo keebs : /
are a thing
@violet swan you're probably good if you do stretches
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXkSDfgAHGw&feature=youtu.be this is what I've been referencing for hand stretches
//SUPPORT AND DONATE TO 1HP: http://bit.ly/2z0AZKJ
Welcome to one of the first walk through videos I will be making more consistently for the gaming community. In this video I walk you through a series of stretches you can do after a gaming binge or after a couple of competi...
I should do it more
is it better to workout/do cardio after i aim train or before?
doesnt maatter im my opinion
I always aim well after i workout so its good for me
even when my grip strength is fried aim is the same
For beeing focused and have a steady and high energy level throughout the day, should I quit caffeine completely or is it fine to only have one cup in the morning ?
generally people have crashes when they consume caffeine
are you regularly drinking water?
yea, but my coffee intake is high i guess, 3+ cups of it everyday, and I get more tired if I drink more
GG @cursive hemlock, you just advanced to level 1 !
2 should be fine imo. The effects subside in 4-6 hours afaik so I drink 1/day on weekdays and 2 on weekends. Coffee naps are next level tho. Feels like irl cheat codes.
Do you experience some sort of energy crash after only 1 cup ? @stark fiber
If I drink it on an empty stomach/don't drink enough water then yeah. It has the opposite effect basically. Otherwise not really.
ok thanks : )
@violet swan My guide has some mobility excercises to warm up and stretches. Ill be returning home on Monday so ill be releasing it this upcoming week
Should help you a lot
sweet, was wondering when that would be releasing
keen to see you get back on the grind and climbing back up to beat my scores :p
I took a two week vacation so I couldnt finish it
Haha ill do my best
I wasnt grinding too much before I left but I wanna play more and more efficiently
a guide would be really appreciated at this point, some days I'm grinding at an intense level for hours without much of a break and want to make sure my wrist isn't going to give out in a year (or less)
kovaaks is so fun, I don't touch anything else at this point tbh
Yeah Im not interested in anything else either
@wild grove I used to drink 5 or 6 coffee cups a day, and yes I experienced crashes
So I stopped, now I only drink one in the morning, and I feel much more energetic than before
yeah more than like 1-2 cups seems like overkill and just ends up being worse
my balls are uneven.
unfortunate
uneven balls = normal fyi
i would play kovaaks it might help
I have uneven balls too
left leaning dick gang?
^

lefty > righty @limpid finch

true
like a snake?
i guess
whats that article talking about?
i know its all brain shit but im too pepega to understand
@upper copper To analyze the association between cardiorespiratory fitness and global and local brain volumes
well being fitter is related to bigger volume in some brain parts that arent connected with motor-relared functions
❤️
Late night runs >
anyone have a nutri bullet?
just found the best healthy smoothie that legit tastes like a milkshake
but with no sugar
unsweet soy milk
1/2 cup or cup frozen chopped kale or spinach depending on size of blender
handful frozen mango chunks
handful raw walnuts
sprinkle of chia seeds
is actually so good
and is fairly sweet
too much work
i thought that said handful raw walrus
hahaha
I have a small mixer similar to a nutribullet really great investment
-250ml milk
-2scoops whey
-15g peanut butter
-some chia seeds
-little bit of frozen strawberries
is what I do
Since we're on nutrition ... Does anybody mealprep here and can share some ideas for breakfast? I need something that I can pop into the microwave and preferably eat while I drive to uni...
toast
nice i just got a nutribullet, gonna try that smoothie
hard boiled egg/s maybe @limber nacelle or yogurt or somethin
hardboiled eggs are great in the morning
This has some good ideas and stuff on it like: storing them, other recipes with them etc
Yeah breakfast or food in the morning is different for everyone. Some people it works well and is beneficial, others not. Just sort of experiment with what works best
tips for fixing my sleep schedule? i keep going to bed at like ~5am and waking up at around 3pm on weekends, and on school days as soon as I get home I pass out till around 6 to 7:30
exercise and when winding down turn off every blue light like read a book or something
take a bath too and keep room temp warm
or supplement yourself with melatonin ez fix
@bin thanks for the link ... I somehow never considered making eggs in advance
Always thought they go bad quickly
Devil eggs are good snack
this could also be in advice
but this is kind of mental health
the more I worry about and train my aim, the worse I do in games
I cant aim for shit in fortnite now
idk why
Well
Training 2d and 3d is naturally different
You won’t see that good of conversion
Remember youre doing it to improve
Mouse control
Aim in game is probably more affective
More boxfighting etc
Asking about forearm placement. The general consensus is, forearm on or off desk doesn't matter. More importantly, 90 degree elbow and tucked in a normal position. Is that correct?
I mean
I was surprised, for one, seeing Yu in his latest video having such good posture. But it's to be expected I suppose
Your arm isn't fully extended, basically
Your elbow is close to your torso where it normally would be if you were standing up
Fair
I always felt that
Having it tucked in
Would reduced movement to the left
Maybe because of my mouse drift
When I track going left
That's true
Even sometimes going right if you tuck it in too much, elbow makes contact with your body
I don't think it's a cause for concern either way tbh, fully extended, or partially bent
Sometimes when I fully extend I rest my forearm a little toomuch on the desk (desk is abnormally high, working on getting that fixed)
Actually
If you
Try to turn your aim 180
While tucked
Its worse than untucked
Yeah ofc
Feels weird
It should never feel forced, whatever position you're in
Unless someone's posture sucks, then of course work on improving that
Yeah, as long as the neck is in a good position, and you're not making out with your monitor
when @4:3 fov is stil too big
Hahaha for xantares, I think he means
yeah
And as close as xantares
was joking about him sitting so close
is it
on his twitter?
I thought my fhand and finger hip strength was low so I did some hand grip excersizes and my muscle between my thumb and palm is now sore
Is there a stretch for that area
should i get a more light weight mouse, every time i use it for a long time my should starts to hurt a bit, my mouse weighs like 126 grams
Maybe there is a posture issue if your shoulder is hurting. Any of you guys recommend any ergonomic chairs? Preferably ones that arent crazy expensive
GG @violet swan, you just advanced to level 5 !
In the pinned messages there is a diagram/picture of tips for good posture, I can dm you it if you cant find it @rose gale
Found it
My chair has a inward curved spine or whatever you call it
Something like this @violet swan
lumbar support^^
my back hurts after playing 1 hour of kovaaks and then i do streches is there any good gaming/office charis to 150$ that would help keep my back straight and not hurting?
you could scoop local office clearance sales (idk if thats the right word)
kinda short on cash rn
like there are comapnies that sell used high end office chairs like steelcase etc for cheap
how much length in cm should be between my eyes and my monitor?
:/ spent on coolermaster mp510xl and mm710
GG @fathom trench, you just advanced to level 2 !

lol i just realized ahah
i had bad eyesight since my childhood, and im pretty sure sitting that close as i sit doesnt affect my vision
it does
It's not going to make you go blind
GG @rose gale, you just advanced to level 9 !
My grandparents think that if i play too many video games ill go mad and start shooting people and try to fly
also thanks @rose gale how long are you usually sitting per day and does the chair ever cause discomfort
Well now that school has started I would say 2 hours, on weekends doe I will Inconsistently sit for 5-7 hours a day
Quickest way to fix sleep schedule? I sleep at around 5am everyday and feel like shit .
Wake up earlier
dont sleep one day so you can go to bed at any time, sleep at a normal time and then set an alarm to wake up at the time u want
and boom its fixed
For teenagers its like 7-10 and for adults its 5-9
I’m 17 so hopefully 6 is fine
I’ll go for 6 see how I feel
Maybe increase if I feel tired
I’ve heard not exposing ur self to blue light for 1 hr before sleeping really helps, is that true?
yeah
K I’ll try that too
I've been searching Google for a while but i cant find anything about this, randomly my entire body will twitch, like a 1 second seizure if you want to call it (bad analogy I know)
5 is never fine.
FOR IMMEDIATE& RELEASE
National Sleep Foundation
Email: nsfmedia@sleepfoundation.org
@heavy dew "Younger adults (18-25): Sleep range is 7-9 hours (new age category)
Adults (26-64): Sleep range did not change and remains 7-9 hours"
So depending on what works best for you get somewhere between the 7-9 hours
Your Espeon is now level 57!
You can also set timer on your phone to automatically turn blue light filter on at a certain time (whenever it gets dark would make sense)
From this site https://www.sleepfoundation.org/press-release/national-sleep-foundation-recommends-new-sleep-times. Reputable site with quality sources

Yeah i've been tryign to stay consistent at 8-9 hours, occasionally 6 1/2- 7 but rarely

@vestal pumice this message was to you
, but also to everyone else
sorry dad
no worries

Why do i feel tired after 9 hr of sleep
only after 13 hrs of sleep i dont feel tired but i feel like
@trail lantern diet, activity?
imo good diet but idk i dont really do any activities
Try some exercise during the day, it can help you have good quality sleep. I think the quality of sleep might be the issue if you are eating healthy
Try some of these as well. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/17-tips-to-sleep-better
Asking your doctor this question would be very beneficial as they can run tests and other stuff to ensure there isn't a sleep disorder or something like sleep apnea @trail lantern
Oh yeah and also do you wake up a lot during the night? Sometimes people don't know whether they do or not
no but i never wake up when my alarm goes off
its almost every time 1h-30 mins before alarm that i wake up
but not get up from bed ofc
@trail lantern that is actually good imo
i mean if you wake up 30 mins before the alarm
mean you wont get sudden wake
or panic wake up
true but its still weird like i wanna get a good amount of real sleep 😄
it more natural wake up that what i mean
i mean you would technically otherwise you wont wake up natural like that
if it 7-10 hrs sleep i assume
ye
sometimes i wake up even bef 7 hrs of sleep which makes me go full tense1983 mode
when i just want + 7 h of sleep but no 😄

@violet swan I thought older people should sleep like babies
I dont think so lol. Like 8 different places say about 7 ish
I wonder if naps are taken into account lol
Probably when talking about Newborns - Preschoolers. The others are recommendations not averages, naps aren't really recommended besides short power naps like 10-30 mins https://www.healthline.com/health/how-long-should-i-nap#summary
GG @violet swan, you just advanced to level 6 !
(:

Tommorow
We will have a guide for this tommorow
But for now you can do some stretches from the pins

How do I get smaller appetite
Like
I'm trying so hard to get fit
I'm running 20 mins everyday
Plank everyday
Weights every second day
But I just eat so much
Eat more fiber, also you could try out eating almonds or peanuts they are very filling. I can find you a source for more tips and other foods that are filling
Fruits and vegetables are the same way. Low cals but very filling
Oh eggs too this site is incredibly helpful https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/15-incredibly-filling-foods#section1
Oh and drink a glass of water before every meal. And possibly increase your water intake. like 2 liters a day I think is a good amount @nimble cipher
Your Espeon is now level 59!
Anyone else's pointer finger's tendon hurt after clicking a lot? I'm gonna find some stretches or something
https://www.livestrong.com/article/429616-how-to-stretch-a-tendon-in-the-fingers/ doing these right now
it started from playing minecraft pvp like 3-4 years ago, because you legit click the whole time you're pvping
im guessing osu players get that problem a lot as well
Nah they click with keyboard
well yeah, but if you think about it, it is a similar movement that uses those tendons or whatever just on the non-mouse hand. especially if you use z and x (i think thats default)
Are any of yall like me where you eat a lot and still manage to weigh 130 lbs?
I'm literally double your weight
Has anyone dealt with numbness on your right hand by the pinky?
not that im aware of
@chilly badge careful with numbness cause it can be related with nerves
it can be bad blood circulation too, depending on the situation
What would you recommend doing?
How do I fix eating like once a day. Lol I have no appetite ever. And when I do it’s just snacking. Is this depression? 🤔
exercise? that'll make u hungry for sure
I feel wrist pain. Feels like it’s located on the palm side right in the middle. Any help is appreciated.
Stretches @midnight rock what kind of pain? Like sharp or
There are some wrist stretches linked in pinned
Basically I’m at work rn and had to take a break because I couldn’t support the 7ish pound air tool in my hand
Idk what’s considered sharp and dull tbh
how do you hold the tool like what kind is it? the position you hold could probably give an estimate of the exact muscle or tendon that is being strained (i think )
I would say ice it and/or take anti-inflammatory medicine like ibuprofen
@violet swan 1200 ibus
Do you rest it on the edge of your desk?
@violet swan whats that
Yall know how to actually repair sleep? I cant find shit on it
Currently going to sleep at like 3 - 4 in the morning and waking up at like 1 - 3 in the afternoon
"One approach to reverse temporary sleep clock setbacks is to stay up one full day until the next normal bed time. This method is essentially planned sleep deprivation, so it is best done under doctor supervision.
There is not a lot of specific research on this method outside of anecdotal accounts for overcoming sleep clock problems, but it is a clinical part of chronotherapy and has been researched for depression treatment.
If you have been going to bed at 4 a.m. and waking at noon, you would wake at your normal time (perhaps on a Friday) then not sleep again until perhaps 10 p.m. the next day (Saturday). Light and mild activity could be helpful for staying awake.
Be aware that you should expect to be tired, and that you should never drive or perform any other dangerous tasks when sleep deprived." - https://amerisleep.com/blog/reset-sleep-clock/ A lot of people do this and they say it works
idk about the doctor supervision part
but thats what i do if my sleep schedule is ever messed up
it works for me
Okay, basically just stay up all night then go to sleep at a normal humane time?
yeah
Alright thanks, I'll give it a try tonight and see how this self torture experiment goes
GG @sour hamlet, you just advanced to level 1 !
gl
Thanks, i'm gonna need it
I recommend not driving while sleep deprived, its actually super dangerous. Good luck, try upbeat music or something like that if you get too tired
Thank fully i dont really leave the house or drive
water is really good to drink a lot of when ur doing this since it forces u to get up to pee a lot
👀
Does it only work for a couple days cause you start to get lazy with it or is it because sleep debt finally kicks in?
cold shower is op
I think it's because I get lazy
I need to force myself to sleep early
Even if I woke up early
What I hear actually matters is that you leave the alarm on and just wake up at the same time every time NO MATTER WHAT
even if its only 3 or 2 hours of sleep
ruining your rem sleep is bad
Just dont sleep so you dont ruin it 🙂
