i used to have that a bunch when playing splatoon 3 but onto my palms, but i think it was because my palm had full contact onto the controller making it less "breatheable"
making my hands sweat
How much time should I play or Aimtrain everyday?
Also a few tricks to not get burnout or feel fatigued, I just feel that after playing some time I'm tired or my brain doesnt feel like it is braining correctly
anyone know how to calm soreness in forearm? I can't seem to stretch it out since its tough to really stretch your forearm muscles... only flexing them easy, which just cause soreness no cramp
Muscle soreness? Probably RICE method if its bad - there are also forearm stretches and you can find a bunch on google. Flexing the wrist both ways is helpful for stretching out the forearm. If there is swelling or inflammation then its probably a concern you should take seriously.
its soreness, not much you can do except sitting it out, the stuff mentioned is just a short term relief of the discomfort youre experience right now
This sucks, I've had it for about 4 days now lowkey just hope it goes away by this tuesday
holy my message finally sent
u pick it up from the gym?
ur life might be over bro sorry, move to texas and buy a ranch
strengthen it
just cameback from a 3 months break i wanted to start aimtraining again but now i feel like ive lost all of my progress for 5months i hit jade on tracking but now i cant even hit plat and my mental health is just kind of giving up lol what should i do?
Keep on grinding youll get back faster
ive tried out vdim but i can't finish the static routine without my arm getting sore almost half way, ive tried taking 15-30 minutes break in between but my arm still feels sluggish, is it because of poor tension management?
static is very exhaustive, you dont have the endurance build up for it yet. the sheer amount of runs vdim has is totally exaggerated tho, so just reduce them to one or two runs or split them between days
alr i'll try to split it
can grip trainers strengthen endurance
yup, just keep in mind that aim training is volume that needs to be regenerated, and excercises with the grip trainer too. so dont overdo yourself and plan it properly so your body can handle both
no, grip trainers mostly only strengthen the forearm muscles
Lately, I believe I've started dealing with a pretty significant amount of eye strain, as many times I feel like the screen becomes blurry or I have a difficult time keeping my eyes on the crosshair/target especially when having to switch. It's like it just gets blurry or I don't notice things that are right there ocasionally.
That being said, I've been trying to blink more. although I notice some days I wake up with watery-ish eyes or just a burning sensation all around.
How do you guys deal with eye strain like this? Am I just meant to take a break for a few days or something or what because it's affecting me so much it stresses me out in game
I've tried to lock in on posture - had to remove arm rests so that I could get my chair under my desk with 90 degree angle for elbow.
now, though, cuz of my shitty chair, my elbow hits it when I pull down on the mouse - should I jump off of a bridge ? I cant get posture right aT ALL
How wide is the chair's back? Would you have to reach out far to avoid it?
IF it's a strain then try the 202020 and some eye drops might help, but ultimately see a doctor
its maybe a 10 degree rotation if the starting point was my elbows tucked into my body. Its not terrible, I just noted from Ben's video that he said it is best for tension if you avoid elbow flare
also on the topic of posture is it better for the elbow (when off the desk) to be slightly below or above the desk - if not perfectly parallel, which is better? (healthwise or aimwise idk if thats the same thing)
thats the part of my arm thats really exhausted
the range of motion in my thumb is fully chalked
i played a single finals game and i cant move my thumb well and it feels sore
check if u have a good posture n also try to stretch before every gaming session
im reading this and wanna make sure im having the same problem, my wrist has been hurting after 10-15 scenarios after starting doing vdim
test your theory and do less scenarios and see if it changes in the coming days
does anyone know if theres a cheaper alternative to 1hp gaming style posture checking? 400 us is just too steep but I have a lot of health issues influencing my aiming in general and my ability to train
look up coach ben posture guide, 2 mins total watch time
unfortunately no. When im in the gym I lift controlled and don't go too heavy. I don't go all that often currently either.
I actually picked it up by getting put down in an arm wrestle 🥀
mostly gone though
okay weird question but i've gotten a watch with a heart rate monitor recently and i noticed during aim training my heart rate slowly but surely rises (from resting 60 to ~85)
My question is: Is that beneficial for training or should i be wary of it?
"Conventional" wisdom makes me think its always best to lower your heart rate, both for competetive fps gaming and for stuff like aim training but I wanted to ask for opinions
Regarding that first pic, is your arm mostly floating, or is it resting on your desk? Either way, you are likely shrugging your shoulder with a tight upper trapezius muscle to bring your elbow up to your desk height.
When you have a moment, focus all of your attention into relaxing the area that feels tense. You might only be able to relax it the slightest bit, but when it does relax, your shoulder will depress downwards. When that occurs, there will be the faintest sensation in your upper-middle back. That’s the antagonist muscles activating, allowing your tense area (the upper trapezius) to lengthen and thus relax.
It will take some mental finesse, but when you feel these antagonist muscles contract when you relax the tense area, try and contract them further. It’s okay if it takes time and if it’s slow. These muscles have probably been underactive for a long time now. Because of that, you will likely feel ăn unfamiliar sensation when you contract these muscles.
After a few days of doing this and rediscovering those back muscles, you can now try to keep your shoulder lowered as you practice this motion:
Try and go all the way up. The most important thing while doing this is that you keep squeezing those back muscles and completely relaxing the upper trapezius (the tense area). It will most likely be difficult and slow to bring your arm up while meeting these two requirements, as you will most likely be using different muscles to raise your arm like this than you have in the past. You’d feel a lot of it in your chest and back
Something that might help is to think of lifting your elbow rather than raising your hand
I had the same issue, but strengthening exercises (in a traditional sense) didn’t help me personally because they didn’t address the core issues. At 1500+ hours, you probably know a lot about tension, so I’m sorry to have the word “relax” fall on your eyes for the billionth time haha but what I did was pretty much what I wrote just above except for my wrist. There were imbalances in my wrists, causing them to never be able to fully relax because some muscles were overly active and stuck in a tightened position, so doing that “relaxing to discover the antagonist muscles” method I explained in the post above allowed me to keep my wrists in a much more relaxed and biomechanically sound position
Which allows them to move both a lot more smoothly with much better acceleration (in terms of both change in speed and change in direction)
Oh, to add onto this, this tightness in your wrist probably favors one side. When you reach the end of your range going in the unfavored side, you probably experience a spring-like sensation that has your wrist jumping back in the opposite direction, making smooth motions impossible at this range. You'd have to locate the tight muscles and relax those while focusing on developing the weak, underactive ones. So it really is pretty much strength training in the end lol but the most important part is figuring out what to strengthen
@serene stump
anyone know how to fix like hard blinking, like when i aim train i always have to blink for like a second while in games i barely blink it lowk messes me up alot 🤔
Auto pilot
@woven garnet
how much you guys think regular exercise helps with aiming
perhaps the improvement comes from better mood?
ive been doing better recently
being healthy only has positive effects on your life
exercising n gym both dont have any impact at all on aiming
Exercising has a positive impact on literally anything and everything you do
Ur brain functions better when ur bodies healthier
if u have healthy lifestyle already then it doesnt bring that much of a impact n it would be very very little amnt that nobody would realize it
You can’t definitively say that and also that context wasn’t provided in the original question nor was it added to ur answer
He asked if exercising helps and it does
How can you say nobody would realize it if the guy you were talking to did realize it
again if u already have healthy lifestyle it wouldnt bring much impact n he prob felt placebo
Those are assumptions you are making to validate a flawed view
I can’t find him say anywhere he was living a healthy lifestyle before he began exercising
P sure every single study ever conducted on the subject has concluded it is a significant difference too so I’m not sure why you’re so confident in it being a negligent difference
yeah thats my fault i forgot to add in that
did they study abt exercising has impact on aiming?
There have been studies on its impact on cognitive function, increases in brain volume and increases in neuroplasticity and neurogenesis
All of which are extremely correlated to aiming
oh well im confident bcs myb ik smthin n tried it
yeah but mostly from walking n treadmil n its mostly cus of blood supply to brain increases(im jus guessing prob wrong) and the impact going to be low amnt if u already got a healthy lifestyle meaning u dont sit behind ur monitor 12h daily
how to fit working out/gym with aim routine should i Workout then Aim train even tho i will have shaky aim or Aim train then gym
it’s better to not sleep and kinda fix my sleep schedule or get 2/3 hours?
why would u have shaky aim after gym tho
muscle and central nervous system fatigue most likely
muscle fatigue shouldnt be to a point where he has shaky aim tho same goes for cns fatigue
Whatever’s convenient
Hi I noticed that I struggle with a topic that isn’t really talked about enough imo. I find myself constantly thinking about how my pad positioned and how high or low my chair should be and I’ve tried countless times to fix this issue of mine but I can’t seem to do that I always change something in a thought of it’ll make x better or If il do that y will be worse. Do you understand? How can I find an solution to this without overthinking
What is the ideal temperature range my room should be, so that I don't overheat but also don't freeze?
22c
also if ur hands are cold, warm water is op
Should I just have a container with warm water near me? Because I'd rather not always go to the bath when I my hands are cold
I mean just warm ur hands when u can and have a room temp so they don't get cold
Okay, thanks
So my shoulder started hurting more frequently and i noticed its very tense when aiming. Should i make a conscious effort to "untense" it and mostly use wrist aim?
I also changed my posture a bit so my elbows are more relaxed on the table
Definitely learning how to train with 0 tension is the play
But you should still stretch, exercise, rest
I think everything else can be practiced, except comfort
I think its because of call of duty lol, i have to do so many 200° turns and also look up all the time
so you should find a comfortable setup, use a sens that allows you to do everything in game with ease and then just practice
I have to use my whole arm to 180
You can always practice how to use a higher sens
especially if you are not comfortable with lifting your mouse and swiping a lot
i have this weird thing that started maybe 3 or so days ago where when i hold/move my mouse it kinda goes like numb i cant really explain it well but its affecting my aim and i dont know if its just a fatigue thing or if i should actually get it checked out
get it checked out
fatigue definitely should not be causing numbness get that checked out
I get a slight discomfort in my wrist here after playing, its neither painful nor stops me playing but id rather be safer than sorry. I suspect its maybe to do with my wrist position when I move my mouse right
how do I fix a super tense shoulder especially aiming towards the right?? like it lwky hurt fr
I got a "Carpio 2.0" from Delta Hub and it has fixed everything related to wrist pain. You ought to check it out. I don't think that I could play without one now
@summer trout
Hi! What is the current consensus on how long a training block should be (and the break between blocks) if someone were to aim train for 8+ hours in a day?
a while ago, i did 40m training, 20m breaks. However, aimtraining for 8 hrs in a day might not be so good
yup but imagine if it was your job to aim train (no other game to practice for), how would you structure your day is what im wondering
30-45min set, 15-30min break/doing something else
my wrist starts to hurt pretty much as soon as i start playing (like 1 valorant dm) and i think my biggest issue is tension management. is smoothness scenarios and tracking the best way to fix it? i play on a fairly low sens and im also trying to get used to using my arm more
12 hours or until failure
Yes. I struggle with the same and tracking scenarios seems to help. Also try to conciously reduce tension. Practice this in aimtrainer first then dm then ranked games. Basically remove pressure in ur brain that you need to be really fast (u dont need to in 80% time)
I've only just started, but the very first thing I'm noticing is that on especially tracking scenarios my stability suffers immensely. My forearm and fingers just get so fatiged and my aim becomes incredibly shakey. I'm sure that strength will just generically improve as I put in more hours into aim training, but are there any finger/forearm exercises external to mouse movement that people are aware of that may target relevant control/stability muscles?
Any tips on the Gyro Ball? am I supposed to spin the thingy Counter clock wise or Clockwise? should I have my forearm fully extended out?
i got essential tremor that goes craazy when im actively tracking. Am i fried for life?
kinda weird buttt does anyone have an issue of dead skin coming off the palm when it's rubbed on the mousepad? sometimes it happens and I have to constantly swipe my mousepad off with my arm cuz I just don't like the feeling of something on my mousepad when I'm trying to aim lol
I've seen players get high ranks with essential tremor's in games that would be extremely hard with shakiness, it's def possible but you might have to work way harder than the average person
I'm not that familiar with the condition so I don't know if there are ways to prevent or train it to not happen as often
its bad tension management, its nothing to do with weakness of the muscle
dude i have the same problem. the way i deal w it is to just take rest between scenarios so ur wrist can relax. I used to aim train for hours nonstop (mostly flicking scenarios) with bad tension management and I think that caused it.
I asked in the kovaaks subreddit it about it and they gave me some pretty decent advice, main ones that have helped so far is better tension management like you said, I have a bad habit of forgetting to release it when im locked in as well as trying to use arm aim more when it comes to turns far to the right
It's called Ulnar Side Extensors pain or Ulnar side wrist pain if you wanna look into it more
Strengthening ur wrist seems to help too
I used to go to the gym a couple years back, at the recommendation of some videos I was linked i started doing the 1hp endurance dumbell exercises
I also realized that this happens more often whenever I don't go to the gym
Hello, I can actually feel tension in my left trap. I'm pretty sure this is caused by aim training and playing Valorant most of my day
can someone recommend a viable stretching routine?
Idk if this is the right chat to ask this in, but is it normal for my mouse arm to turn inwards, like towards the top left of my mousepad instead of being perfectly straight? It does this naturally.
it's normal
Thanks!
If I have a really bad sleep schedule could it impact progress? For example, I can fall asleep at 2 on a school night, waking up at 8:30 and over breaks and the weekends I’ll go to sleep at like 4, waking up at 2 in the afternoon
This is probably an obvious YES, but I’m curious to the extent it would impact me
Absolutely. On days that you feel tired or sluggish, stick to theory and technique rather than pushing for PBs.
PMID: 41358909 is a study examining whether differences in sleep timing between school days and days off are related to adolescent brain development, affecting brain organization and cognitive ability / emotion regulation.
https://doi.org/10.1002/agm2.12221 shows that circadian disruption → increased risk of Alzheimer’s disease.
PMID: 41287625 shows that circadian disruption is closely associated with brain dysfunction.
PMID: 40350180 circadian disruption is linked to changes in brain structure, and these changes may be related to cognitive decline/dementia.
There are a ton of other scientific studies too, but listing them all would take forever. In short: with your sleep schedule, you’ll develop more slowly than your peers. You’ll experience issues like brain fog, reduced concentration, reduced memory, reduced cognition, insomnia, and dangerous dementia-related diseases like Alzheimer’s.
Specifically for aim training: You’ll have trouble focusing, trouble forming neural connections to adapt to new training drills. You’ll lose the ability to feel and control the mouse properly due to cognitive decline (affecting tension management). You’ll lose reaction speed because your brain is fatigued → it can’t process the visual information coming from your eyes, and you’ll lose directional judgment based on information coming from your ears, etc.
Remember: neural connections can be created, but neurons can only be lost. Neurons cannot recover and also cannot be created. So what you’re doing is basically poisoning your body.
is there like a mathematical or foolproof way of setting my desk up? I have a fully adjustable desk, but all the vidoes from like Kovaks or Struth dont fit me cus my proportions are weird (185cm arms, 180cm height) and following their advice I would need my desk to be so low I cant fit my legs (fuck working out btw before my quads were big I had no issue 😭) + should I use arm rests or no? If no how much of my arm should be in the air? I know most aimers dont use them, only Viscose does but idk whats the general idea. I would appriciate any advice or ideas Im high key suffering
I fear I’ve noticed some of these already 💔
guys does anyone have camptodactyly syndrome and is a good aimer or seeking to be one here? I have almost 450hours on aimtrainers without autopiloting and trying my best to improve with various methods and I've been consistent with vdim for a while aswell but I still stuck in gold, I never felt insecure about my hands ever but the long hardstuck phase is making me question if my hands where the real problem, any 1hp staff here to give their opinion on this ?
guys why my burps smell bad?
your stomach is literally an acid vat
acid reflux is when stuff from your stomach gets back up, possibly due to poor diet or drinking too many fizzy drinks
Could there be other reason? I didnt really changed diet. And i do mostly drink water
can be sinuses, tonsil issues, dirty tongue
it's not always stomach content
if it was never issue but now doesn't stop for weeks seek doctor, i think like half of gastro problems can cause some sort of bad breath
How is your health and have you gone to the dentist recently
do you have issues with range of motion during aiming?
if not, then 90% it's not syndrome issue
I have now like stomachache and feel something moving inside pretty loudly espscially when pressing.
Its only today tho
Also if you go into ketosis, your breath smells like death
if u want a more balanced stomach, try some oats and yoghurt
I have astigmatism, but my glasses prescription is light enough that I don't "need" them for anything and I do not often wear them (yes, I promise I'm not endangering myself while driving).
how important is wearing my glasses while gaming? will I be at a genuine disadvantage by not wearing them?
If it matters: I've pretty much never worn them while gaming, and I can finish a match of bf6 with the top kills pretty regularly
If you're seeing clearly and prescription isn't "must wear at all times" then you don't really need them yeah, although do try playing with them and see if the image you see is a bit sharper allowing you to see/focus better
AFAIK there's also no real evidence that "blue filter" glasses actually help with PC use so even if yours have that I wouldn't force it on if you're more comfortable without them
Doesn't ur head hurt without glasses
no, tbh I went without them so long that the only fatigue I feel is when I wear them too long
yeah, i’ll give it a try. and yeah I don’t have the blue light filter. I didn’t like how it messed with colors when I was doing photo editing and stuff so I made sure these didn’t have it
How has this remained up in the server for damn near an hour
because they were right clicked, i went to ban them from another channel and they didnt remove all messages
granted this was 2hrs ago
so instead of wondering why, tag us
probably a silly question but: if I'm logging water intake, it's acceptable to log flavored seltzers (ex. Polar, Lacroix, etc) as water? I’ve never actually looked into whether they hydrate as well as water does
I have ast too, mild form where if I don't wear glasses i am fine
but I think it's best to wear them when eye focused activity happens. doctors recommend using correction with ast, because involuntatily squinting can cause further progression. plus it's less blur, why not?
realistically I don't think it's big disadvantage if you are not yourself feeling you need it, but it's QOL for sure to see clear all the time
plus if you dont like glasses use contacts
unfortunately contacts do not vibe with me for whatever reason
I think it's just because I have small eyes but getting them in/out was a nightmare when I tried
for me in the start aswell but after a while it was a peace of cake, if you literally no joke dont even flinch or close your eyes when putting it in itll be easier
yeah it's not eyes issue, definitely need to get used to. if anything, it's maintenance is PITA - storing them properly in luquid etc.
ive found the solution to my issue with aiming with way too much tension but i still have really bad wrist pain from when it. how long do you think itll take of not playing for it to stop
if it's bad, then 2 weeks at least imo. RSI is not a joke
maybe your nose was blocked
is weightlifting with it a yes or no
@empty pendant wtf
Anyone know good exercises for muscle atrophy in the thumb holding the mouse, as I can tell my other hands skin is a lot tighter and there’s a lot less in the part connecting my thumb to hand in the hand I use to hold the mouse?
I wanted to let others know if anyone here deals with nerve pain and carpal tunnel if it affects you heavily when playing maybe consider asking if amitriptyline is an option for you I've been taking it since august and it's like the best I've taken from other stuff over the years i had my dose upped twice i feel like it helped me push to levels i couldn't with the pain
Has anyone else taken it i want to know your opinion
@wild grove
Yea I’m kinda curious but is there a big of how bad astigmatism can be? Whenever I look it up it seems extreme but for my the lights especially headlights kinda look like stars with rays extending from the light idek
Hard to explain
I might try and see what stop lights look like cuz I lowkey forgot I’m just used to it
ast is not always and only about halo and light effects, text is blurred in general
and it can be very mild or really bad, just as regular short/far sight is
Yea I mean I’m not really sure 😭 I used to have 20/20 vision than like within a year I can barely see like 10 feet in front of me
I think that light thing has always been there though
I have problems too i literally had went to a place twice they messed up both times and this other place listen to me and they got me in with retina specialist for my optic nerve but I'm glad they let me choose my eye power prescription cause i knew my right eye was off and now i can see objects clear that's like 800-1000ft away 🥴
If you wear glasses get a person that tries to get your vision close
I'm glad the od did for me cause i lowkey seeing way clearer than i ever have
@amber anvil
Damn got the account with nitro from 2017 stolen 😭
I do but I rarely use them
I wanna try using contacts but I know swapping them out daily might annoy me but at least I’d be wearing them every day all day
Glasses are weird I already have problems around my ears and it just puts pressure around that spot and I also can’t wear them with headsets because they just push the glasses into my head
Get comfortable glasses and single use contacts
Idk what headset you use but i have a razer one and it's comfortable also if you have problem with comfortability you can get glasses where they can heat up and shape the arms like i have a frame that oakley doesn't make anymore but in the arms have a metal rod that can bea heated up and changed like my glasses are fitted to my curve
so i'm here doing 1W4ts and i'm finding that my elbow is REALLY feeling it and my forearm also is
it's not an ouch pain
it's more of an uncomfy
any ideas?
I believe the hyperx cloud II
I used to have the regular razer kraken that headset is probably super old by now though
I had it for over like 6 years
The headphone part I think pushes on the sides of my glasses
The cushion maybe
Not sure I never paid attention I just knew it was uncomfortable lol
@summer trout delete his acc prob got hacked
it depends
for me without glasses is extreme
with it isnt like i have it
I had the kraken kitty v1 and now I'm on the v2 pro the cushions doesn't push my frame arms it sits softly against them
I think I had the regular razer kraken
This one
I got rid of it because it was pretty much falling apart 😭
You can try playing with a gyro ball; it's fun. Figure out how to spin it for a long while without getting tired.
hey guys, im struggling with hand pain, im doing the lifts (all 4 directions) + grip strength, and finger rubber band extension
currently doing everything 3x10 4kg dumbell via progressive overload, increasing weight (reducing sets to 2), then increasing sets to 3, then increasing weight
but i am not sure what i am doing is optimal for aim training
is there an established meta in the reps, weight, tempo, etc?
Hey yall, I’m struggling with eye pain and incredibly dry eyes. Both my eyes get very red after my sessions, I usually play for about 3 to 4 hours with a 5 to 10 min break every 40 min ish. Yet my eyes are always feeling dry and get really red. Is there a pair of glasses or particular eyedrops anyone could recommend? Anybody experiencing the same thing?
@empty pendant sorry for ping
@cerulean dome always ping one of us for those images. ty
idk how to explain this but I recently got an oled and Idk if its my eyes or the screen but I see trails behind bot health bars, my bot health is purple so I see yellow trail behind it
Change color
its not only that color its also with like red I see cyan behind it or pink I see green behind it
I tried clipping it but in the clip I don't see it happening
set up your monitor settings
more money for me ig
Hey y'all what's good
I'm here to get professional health tips and advice
Make sure the lighting in your room is good. You don't want to be playing in the dark.
My eyes would burn within 20-30 minutes of aim training back when my room was very dim
@summer trout
holy fuck
I don't know why but sometimes when i feel my worst my dynamic clicking is better like i think i might of had an episode of serotonin syndrome saturday night trying wellbutrin and when i took amitriptyline that night i had the worst interaction and I'm in nerve pain I'm feeling alot better i didn't get seen when i should've but seeing my pcp tomorrow but i feel like when I'm completely burnt out and my brain activity is lower i feel like I'm on track going target to target without really missing I'm like totally burnt from nerve pain and dizzy but it stopped like i wanna know the science in this it's interesting like i shouldn't be able to play this good while being in really bad condition but i am
Like maybe it's because I'm used to being like this like yes the interaction was terrible but i had experience like that without meds
WHY ARE THERE SO MANY
@ionic atlas
ppl rly desperate these days
When i first started aim training, I would copy a lot of other peoples settings, grips, etc. I dont remember how I used to grip my mouse back then, but one thing I do remember is forcing my pinky and ring finger to curl, because thats what I saw a lot of people doing. My pinky and ring finger have always hurt because of this. Over the years, my ring finger straightened out and relaxed on its own. My pinky is still curled, but it doesnt hurt now. I assume it doesnt hurt only because I got used to it, but that doesnt make it good or right. Even though it doesnt hurt anymore, my pinky still feels "active" or "full", whereas all my other fingers feel neutral.
Should I go straighten it? What do you guys think? And is this an issue for aiming? Sorry for the long message.
as long as your pinky is relaxed and can comfortably push against the mouse, and you can preserve the gentle feeling at the contact point between the pinky and mouse that you get when moving the crosshair just a slight bit to the left, all the way till your mouse reaches the edge of your usable mousepad area, where the force on the mouse at the contact point gradually increases from 0, you are fine.
@velvet spindle ^ spam above
Most likely, you think too much when you play. Simply focus on bringing crosshair to taget by varying the pressure on the top and sides of the mouse. DO NOT think of the muscles involved and their usage if you wanna preserve near-continuous perception of the bot. You can do that during practice though, it helps if you manage to think a more efficient motion to let your body experience it, then let it move unconciously again.
Also DO NOT predict too far into the future, for u'll spend time distracted by cognitive dissonance if you expect wrong.
my right pinky is similar to this, except im not sure how it's hurting
im using a fingertip grip and it's not curled
im gripping pinky on the side of the mouse
Bro i don't think at all i even turn my brain off when i aim training i most solely focus on my music the only thing i use my brain for is if i go off pace cause I've been keeping habit of reset when I'm not pacing to keep my high scores with high accuracy i don't push for pr's
But for some reasons i train better when i feel like completely bad overall
hmm you may process stuff unconciously, and process even less when feeling bad. Send VOD of you playing some precise tracking with bouncy ball, like PGTI Voltaic or VOD of when you are okay and not so okay on the same scenario? It's very difficult to help with unconscious stuff without seeing anything!
Well the thing i have a low processing function I'm actually in the process trying a adhd diagnosis so i can get the go to treatment medications but i need the actual diagnosis i always avoided growing up I'm really high in tracking but like when i put both visuals and brain together that's when i crash down that's why i always train in a way i do things unconsciously
How do you change your autopilot? Is consciously working on it for practice out of the question?
what if i can see the future
if you find a mistake how would you train to fix it?
Lowkey i forget what they're called but it's rare if it happens to me I've had dreams of events that happened to me like nothing serious that puts me in risk but it's weird i had dreams of stuff then it happens later on
same
i understand you on that one
I even had deja vu when going to places and see certain things or area's my brain activity increases and it makes me confused cause i seen it before
i have dreamt of exact scenarios happening and they do happen and i legit get scared bc of it
but something else i noticed is if i think of something happening in the moment it will for some reason happen the very next minute
Like let's say micro corrections i have a system if i my visual processing sees a mistake my conscious will kick in and tell me to reset and after a long period of training i fixed my micro correction without thinking or solely focusing on doing it
The first one i can remember like in elementary school i remember i was sat down by a teachers aid about something i did but in the dream i didn't know what i did but only that specific person and what chairs we was sitting and the angle between us
ngl those dreams made me believe theres something of a higher power controlling us or our fate
But also on top of my response if i think at all what I'm doing training that's when things fall apart and i mess up alot but it's crucial if i fully shut off my brain from thinking what I'm doing when i first started aim training years ago i was always slow cause i was thinking the more i trained the more i understood i need to shut off my brain and over the years doing it i became more accurate and upped my speed like for instance for years i also off and on played fps games with no audio queues increasing my perception and visual reactions
Then there's no problem; you can become aimbot-like
This is very cool, thanks for telling me! I think it's also important to train error-recovery in sight-reading though, so perhaps you do that separately
When I move my wrist to its max range of motion left/right/up/down and then try to slowly move it back to a neutral position I can't seem to get a smooth transition and it seems to move in increments. I'm not tensing my wrist at all and I am keeping it completely relaxed. Is there anyone else that has had this problem and how would I fix it?
Unsure where to ask but any solution to sweaty hands during tracking
Just like how people have chalk for weightlifting try looking for a lotion/solution that can block sweat I'm sure you can probably look around on reddit and see if you can find any threads you can google what your looking for like maybe saying product to block sweat while gaming reddit and it'll load links for posts people made
how to improve reaction time
Vitamin
which ones
Honestly, Im not a health guru or anything. I dont have an issue with reaction time. but hopefully someone comes around and can tell you which vitamins are helpful. I take some unrelated to gaming, and someone else told me it helps with reaction time. idk how true it is, but I guess there's gotta be a vitamin that helps with that.
its not like im actually that bad i just wanna improve
baby powder may be worth trying
I use it regularly to keep my hands smooth and dry
Avoid any smart drugs because they make u slower
Creatine caffeine and vitamin C/B do help but better sleep and consistent cardio does way more
caffeine
Is Good for smooth tracking?
Get a tennis shooter ball thing, and catch/Dodge every ball that comes at you, once you start getting good add more to all sides including the blind spots, and boom ultra instinct unlock (I’m not joking, try it)
10 hits to the body per set until i can dodge 💔
It work yo not joking try it
where do i even find those thing
Amazon
err what else besides that thing should i use
Read the book inner game of tennis
the what now
can i just crank up the caffeine until i feel weird
Talks about mental performance and whole bunch of other things I recommend
Also read thinking fast and slow
oh
how do i heal an overstrained / overstretched muscle
Rest/stretching (dynamic stretches)
Fish oil can help
Protein and rest
I do a lot of things that use my hand like penspinning cardistry piano guitar osu mania osu and idk... my hand has been getting more and more shaky and gets very painful at night, what should i do? Since when i aim my tracking is... aweful due to my shaking, but my flicking is very good
Whoops... someone got hacked
Lowkey what games do you typically play?
@velvet spindle
shoulder tensing only when wrist/fingertip aiming not arm aiming? any pro tips 😭
Stretching protein sauna then cold water magnesium
And start takint creatine it ll make strain less likely
err tacfps
I know it might sound crazy but a way to help improve visual perception and reaction time is play without audio i don't play tac shooters like i used to but if you have the game sense playing without audio will be less challenging I've done it playing csgo for years there was multiple times where i wanted to play but was bothered by audio due to my migraines so i played with my headset off
See a doctor
idk... i told my dad and he just told me to quit penspinning and everything and we dont need a doctor for that so idk ive just been toning down the playing and i mean it has gotten slightly better i just idk...
start conditioning your hand through strength training
and stretching
depends on which med it is
i just take armodafinil now as opposed to something like adderall or vyvanse. it's a really good stimulant without crashes, and lasts significantly longer, no neurotoxicity either
not as strong as traditional stimulants, but it's safer long term
explain
adhd meds that aren't stimulants don't usually work
armodafinil is a stimulant...
and plenty of people can have success on non-stimulant medication for treating ADHD
Not what the studies say, at all
okay, let's say the "studies" suggest that they don't treat effectively. what do they suggest does then?
metylphenidate based medications and Lisdexamfetamine and such
vyvanse isn't methylphenidate (ritalin). they are two completely different medication families
Do you know what the word and means
sleep deprivation is real, oops
do you think they are safe and effective longterm, despite their well-documented neurotoxicity and cardiovascular effects?
But anyways, amfetamine and methylphenidate based meds are the ones that work really well, it's just that you have to manage the side effects
yes
there is no toxicity
lol
cardiovascular effects depend on the human being and vary depending on the medication
even in therapeutic doses neurotoxicity is still present
i had bad cardiovascular effects from years of stimulant use
Not significant enough to not warranting medicating one of the worst mental disorders someone can have
unlucky
yea
i don't deny it's effectiveness, but the tradeoff simply wasn't worth it for me. i've found lots of success in alternative ways of treating it
I use lisdexamphetamine, Elvanse
I feel like i overanalyze my ingame decisions a lot more on my meds, in contrast to not giving any f's when im off them or smoke weed, and i perform way better
lol
After a week of playing for 12-16 hours a day, I started experiencing pain (like periodic electric shocks) in the nerve area of my hand. Can I assume that this is just overexertion or something similar? Or is it 100% tunnel syndrome?
8am sunlight (with exercise if possible, better than gym), (meat, fish- undercooked), broccolis (with sauna if possible), grounding, no 5g, no plastic, alone thinking time, hard mental exercises, antioxidants (natural) - (honey, milk, seasoned eggs - non-pasteurized), seasoned liver; vitamins - B complex, D3, A, K2, Q10, Zinc, selenium (ordered for cheap at compound pharmacies to ease daily routine) - Dr. Andreas Kalcker routine, Dr. Peter McCoulogh routine, Dr. Lair Ribeiro routine(s) ... were things I added to my life that have shown significant improvements on multiple levels, 114 IQ to 130 IQ for example. forfeiting psychic medications have also untangled my thinking processes, anxiety vanished.
can you provide info on your posture/hand-arm posture while gaming/training
I sit with my back bent, leaning slightly on my elbow.
your elbow could be pressing ulnar nerve, your hand muscles could be tightening median nerve on the base of your hand, a quick check with a physiotherapist could tell you whats going on. although, leaning forward, even slightly hunched could compromise more than back and elbow, but also your face muscles, neck muscles, even more if you are mouth-opened when gaming
Ty ill gonna fix my posture, tomorrow ill go to physiotherapist
take a look at some aim intensive pros and their posture, some are aiming to not have problems in their future, other are trying every edge in their prime. nevertheless, you can achieve just as much, if not more, with posture and physical practices that are healthy, but focused on your desired area - take as an example Donk, who has one of the most straight forward horizontal aiming focused styles. it's not the best posture one can get, but it's not damaging in the long run.
12-16 hours a day
based
How shall i sit while i play sim trainers and games in general then
How high should the desk and chair be for good postures?
Your legs should be at a 90 degree turn at the knees with feet flat on the ground
@shrewd cradle has video on this stuff
Where to find it?
Thanks friend. What about elbow placement?
Search up imbenstaudt on YouTube and go to his most popular vids and click on the posture one
I dont even know myself I just play whats most comfortable for me

Hey, Im getting back into aimtraining, and I've been trying to take it serious, so I've been trying wrist stretches etc, but I have hypermobility in fingers/hands, and im genuinely not sure what stretches to do, or rather what to avoid. Any tips?
random question, i have no pain or anything in my wrists and fingers but everytime i roll it around (to the right in specific) it makes dozens of little popping sounds every time
is that bad?
@velvet spindle
Go through the motions, dont stretch to the most extreme but get the blood flowing
@summer trout

how do you fix shoulder soreness?
is that k3soju lol
Do you guys think its better flr me to do the vdim playlists in 30 mintie intervals? My eyes get sore whenever i aim train so instead of doing a 1 hour long session i just split it into chucnks?
Thoughts?
@wild grove
can listening to music while sleeping affect improvement on aiming? 💀
kinda
because if you think about it, you learn in your sleep, and if youre listening to music while sleeping youre most likely relaxed having good sleep, and when you have good sleep that improves every other aspect of you meaning the learning part that will translate to a better performance when aiming because you "learnt" better
actually ita asmr 💀
im so cooked
so tahts why my aim improvement slowly prog
k switchin to music now
if it isnt ear bleeding asmr it should be fine
if it aint too loud
it should be fine
put it at like its background noise level
I am looking for decent routine for arm stretching
@summer trout scam
for normal people music doesn't make it better or worse, but if have problems sleeping then yeah
Anyone with Connective Tissue Dysplasia here?
how does it affect your aim
How to make my arms sweat less? I sit with two open windows when outside is a winter and they anyway sweat
any1 ever had pain in these areas and along the whole arm? i have this problem even when im doing something repetitive phisically or just carrying bags after 5/10 mins, only on my right hand, the side of the hand on the pinky side also hurts alot when doing it
What type

I'm panicking, I'm trying but I'm never making progress. What frustrates me is that I'm the only one. I'm trying to understand the advice but I don't understand anything.
Im hoping somebody knowledgeable can help me with a wrist issue. I have been training for a few weeks on kovakks, however, ive noticed my wrist has become sore in my aiming hand. This makes my aim choppy and undesirable. I have been prioritizing proper form with my arm all the way on the table, back straight etc. So my question is, should I take a few days off aiming, also, would resistance training my hand/wrist muscles prevent aim related soreness in the future? Bonus question, Do yall think muscle mass has an effect of aim capability? For example, would Ronnie Coleman in his prime, given he took aim training seriously, be hindered by his muscle mass, or would it not have an effect?
I am pretty buffed guy and never experienced those issuesn
But i stretch entire body everyday
Also u should take short breaks between few scenarios snd just shake wrist or smth
Please ?!
You probably refuse to listen and keep being stubborn
I'm listening, but I'm having trouble applying the advice. my brain is blocked
@ancient kelp Do you train forearms/grip strength, Mr. Buffed Guy? my wrist feels like I did a heavy set of wrist curls. I am a avid gym-goer, but never train forearms because I feel like having small forearms makes my upper arm look bigger, im also lazy 🤣 . I've also always used straps on back exercises as to not be hindered by grip strength. My question is, do you think resistance training my forearms and wrist would help my wrist not be fatigued by aiming?
I do train forearms but generally your aim is gonna be shitty afdter that
I do train forearm and grip strength
@ancient kelp Thank you for not helping me; the channel is supposedly called health Mental.
You just proven my point
actually
wtf
You're not listening to me either when I say my brain refuses to keep up. My body is so stressed that it has trouble understanding what the person I'm talking to is saying.
Play more and breath, focus on not tensing up your arm when in gunfights. not panicking dosent happen overnight, jsut got to work on it man
You seem to make excuses
idk what u meant about panicking
just analyse what u do
and see what u can do better
as simple as it gets
I panic all the time
of repeated defeat and mockery, and I have trouble analyzing my game. It's becoming confusing

had it in the past from constantly leaning on elbow, something something ulnar nerve. numb pinkie and unpleasant sensations
resolved itself over month when I started focusing on not straining it (so, no leaning etc) and did some stretches to move nerve around, but mileage may vary. also i now use soft thing under this arm to not compress arm into desk).
main thing is to try and identify actual repetitive thing you do to arm which causes this, not something which triggers it, and avoid it and let it heal
i feel it mainly when carrying heavy stuff around like work or grocery bags but now that u tell me that i think i press my arm down when playing, ill try being mindful about it 😁
I have small thin beanie folded under left arm. maybe something like flat sock as well, or just any not too thick soft material (like dust cloth) may work. I also used to hard lean on it (to hold head when bored) and I think that was main thing, and after inflamation started it'd flare up on almost any pressure or usage and force me to stretch it, relax it by hanging freely on my side etc.
not as bad as carpal I reckon, but still unpleasant as hell. at least it's not as sensitive as wrist RSIs because problem originates in elbow
something like holding phone a lot in bed can also affect it or sleep posture
carrying heavy things uses grip so it can affect grip so yeah, can explain why it shows when you do it
we are not your therapists
What is the purpose of the health channel?
Set smaller goals, take a break, hit the gym
or look at what u acomplished already and enjoy it for abit
I already go to the gym and it's practically the same thing; I'm not progressing because I'm constantly stressed, which makes me feel weak. At the gym, I pay a coach; thanks to him, I stay alive.
a more modest objective, that is to say
i don't wanna be mean but you clearly have issues that we can't handle, you have to work with professionals
advice from us could even hurt you
It says "mental" at the end and I'll take all the advice and I need to try it out.

I've quit playing games for a about 4-5months sub 10hrs in those months and just now coming and i cant play r5 or overwatch for more than 5 mins without a fuckton of pain in my elbow tricep and going into the right side of my wrist. Before I could aim train and grind for literally 16hrs straight minimal pain or discomfort. Have the muscle groups just gotten weaker or is another form of injury is should do an exercise for/stretch
i mean, if whole arm hurts from 5 mins... definitely health issues. It doesn't happen naturally. Don't you use mouse in daily life? do you death grip? do you use 100 cm/360? does your mouse weight 1kg?
nah i've been using the laptop pad thing only use it for school. 28-32cm iirc and i think its like 57 grams. i use light tension when tracking just like a used but not death grip. i used to death grip to where my thumb would go numb.
idk ill prob just have to grind through the pain until it either gets better or gets worse and ill stop try something else
i'd recommend to pushing through pain, it's never good sign
try other arm maybe just to test if it's mouse arm or both
some sort of tendonitis maybe, like lots of pain?
using your muscles shouldnt give a bunch of pain, unless you exercise a bunch and are heavily sore
👋Is there an exercise I can do before playing to stay focused, avoid stress, and prevent negative thinking?
sounds like you need to meditate or do some yoga
meditating can be as simple as sitting still and doing nothing for 5 minutes
basically push one of your fingers down into the palm, hold other 3 up
ah yea that makes sense, the graphic had my head spinning
Do you all feel like the general pain/stiffness in your hand went away after training for a while? I remember when I played Osu with tablet I had bad pain for a month or two and that eventually subsided as the muscle strengthened. I'm imagining something similar will happen with aim training?
@wheat charm I'm basically a millionaire by now
It helps actually
Faster reaction time

No but if ur sensitive to stims in general you can get shaky
Do stretching before its too late
I necer had pain while playing osu and usually when people do they stop
Hi can someone help me with my problems. The current problems im facing right now is pinky/ring finger and wrist numbing and tingling also when going to the gym my wrist hurts. could anyone help me with this?
feet flat on the ground, back rested on chair a little over 90 degrees (with lumbar support if possible, office chairs basically), elbow angle is preference (although 90 degrees will be better for posture, but worse for skin drag coeficient - depends on aiming style), chin tucked, mouth closed, tongue resting suctioned at the roof (if silent gaming). 15 min walk on grass (grounded) before any practice or game will provide better results - https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31977638/; https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S1875952123000733
First half was so good then you went schizo
does your wrist/fingers hurt when you try to force/make certain motions. try to move your hand in certain directions and use your other hand to resist the movement.
How do people aim train without their wrists killing after a few days , just started done like 14 hours last 7-10 days and now my wrist is killing and my aim is worse cus of that , any advice ?
stretch
@empty pendant we have 2 people giving money
atp everyone in voltaic is a milionaire
I get pain in the back of my shoulder when aim training not sure why
I get a feeling of dizziness/nausea when tracking and I feel like it's holding me back from actually aim training daily/bi daily or just most days.
This does sometimes happen in game and in real life, but never to this extent and also due to some other medical factors. I play on a 300hz monitor, and on especially frantic moving targets I think my eyes dart around a lot, I recently got rid of all hud features because I would lose focus when looking at them and it would make me sick again while trying to re-focus on the ball but this has been a constant thing for the 60+ hours I've aim trained on Kovaak's.
check it out with your doctor if theres any way you can lessen the effect
train your wrists lol
Thank you, I've already told my doctor about the dizziness thing and I need to go for a checkup soon about it.
and maybe take breaks inbetween sessions
maybe that can help
I try but going back into it even after a break, it comes back. I used to be consistent and daily with it but after the dizziness stuff happened I couldn't really bring myself to open Kovaaks and try again cause of it

shit sounds like a sad story
i feel bad for you gang
😭 It sucks but at least some of the aim is still in me...
ah yes, because "hollistic" and memefied, right? i fight for my health. even with research sources you still deemed schizo because you spend all day reading tiktok bot comments saying "tiktok knowledge" even on the most basic effective science. conspiracy and all 🤣
panicking out of performance anxiety probably. something that used to happen to me 6 years ago. taking prescribed medicine didn't fix it, it just removed something out of me. this isn't A solution, but one step: turn your brain off when practicing, just do it, of course, after you've taken care of your physical health. this method helped me enter the Zone more frequently, allowing me to have room to think IF needed. just do it
i started drinking coffee late 2024, i felt everything slow down, i could move almost twice as fast, but in axiety inducing scenarios such as clutches, my heart rate became a problem. it isn't recommended to remain sit immediately after ingesting caffeine, or have coffee on an empty stomach (professional advice and personal experience), nor have it with too much sugar.
Hi, can I get some help regarding ergonomics, ive been trying to adjust and follow general guidelines. However, I keep getting pain (annoying enough to make me want to stop). Could anyone help me out please. i realise i should consult a professional but still would like some advice and another perspective on the situation.
Where is the pain
Shoulder or Traps
bring ur shoulders down
It’s specifically my right side, don’t know if that influences it
Start from bringing down your shoulder, then have your arm go down by your side, and just flex from the elbow to touch they mouse
Alright thank you
If your shoulders are raised, it's such a weird posture that youll get pain in all kinds of different muscles
@summer trout
i highly recommend doing whats most comfortable and minimizes pain while playing. combine that with some general resistance/strength training. youd be surprised how much having a bit of strength in muscles that support your spine help posture and reduce posture related pain
i personally dont think there is an "optimal" posture to reduce pain outside of the general ergonomic advice that im sure youre already aware of
is there anyway to fix shaky hands?
I started VDIM on Jan 1st, went from iron/bronze to gold complete by Jan 21st. Trained daily for around 1h (occasionally 2h+, sometimes less), I didn't manage tension or take mini-breaks, ignorant of the risk.
I suddenly felt moderate wrist pain on the 21st, and immediately stopped training. It's been over a week with no training since, and the pain hasn't gone away.
I still get minor discomfort in my wrist, forearm, and fingers (like 2/10 pain) during general light mouse use for work. Ulnar deviation (pictured) causes 10/10 pain though, I can't do it at all. I tried yesterday for half a second and it caused my fingers, wrist and forearm to hurt all day. Frustratingly I've also had to stop the gym, most free weight movements aggravate it.
Anyone else have a similar experience? How long was recovery? I'm assuming this is fairly common occurrence with new players, is it? My action plan is to keep off of it for another week, then introduce gentle training again if pain free. I'm going to introduce rest days twice a week, and start introducing mini-breaks every 10 mins or so during sessions. I think tension management is likely a huge factor here too, I was prob death gripping the mouse throughout training, I'll learn to manage that. I'm curious to hear whether that plan sounds reasonable (Sorry for the blog post)
I started to fell a lot of pain today and did some stretching to aliviate the pain what should I do to not stop grinding and not feel pain
strengthening
@summer trout
no way logan paul!
Does anyone had advice to efficiently deal with dry eyes? I've noticed my dry eyes are even worse than usual today and the usual eye drops I take are doing absolutely nothing and it's making me punt so many pbs
It is most likely an overuse issue with a tendon, you should take a break and rest, during this rest slowly reintroduce yourself to as much pain free range of motion as you can through stretching and just moving your wrist around without resistance then with resistance strengthening the wrist through extension flexion etc etc. everything in that image as well as grip ideally going to the point before it starts hurting, I find it to be easiest to perform most of these with a resistance band though it’s a bit harder to standardize reps. Isometrics both yielding and overcoming will probably be best at least initially especially for training ulnar deviation. I had a similar problem once and this is the jist of what I did in physical therapy, recovery will take a little bit but the main thing is staying consistent even when the pain goes away.
If long pc hours, staring at a screen like that will not make it better.
OTC eye drops may be effective, worst case, see a doctor if persists or other side effects come up
i wash my eyes with saline water when it doesn't lubricate itself, eye drops have never worked for me.
Another one bites the dust
Will keep this in mind, thanks. Good to hear you recovered, how long did it take you?
@summer trout
@velvet spindle 2 of em
@strong mason logan paul is giving away money
Around a month but I had an issue with my elbow as well
the things we do to ourselves 😆
Anyone here takes bupropion? I got prescribed it as off label adhd med and my heart rate and palpitations is literally bouncing up and down i wonder if anyone experienced that before
Yeah, blood pressure and resting heart rate through the roof for me
Yea ngl I'm not taking that shit again last time i took my amitriptyline while the bupropion was in my system it made things worse i should've went to the er last time the heart rate was extremely fast after i took my amitriptyline
I am lowkey actually aiming better but i think i need some other med I'm pushing for a stimulant though i want to see if I'm better off with them or least get those out the way if they don't work instead of going through the trial and error with the other non stimulants for adhd I've gone through trial and error for my migraines and headaches i don't want to waste years like i did for that
well after all this time I asked many many questions and got told to be tested I've been diagnosed with undefined adhd, social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder and depressive disorder. If anyone has any tips or anything that they do to help themselves lmk cuz I'm always down to try different things
I'm on 300mg of bupropion as well as atomoxetine 60mg, I think at 150 it wasn't bad but a month in after I increased to 300mg I started noticing being stressed more and higher heart rate/some form of shallow breathing or a tight chest idk how to explain it
I believe my heart rate was always high in social situations tho, around 120-130. so I don't know for sure if bupropion has effected that at all for me
I'm level 2 autism but i was told they can work around the adhd diagnosis needed to prescribe a stimulant i asked if they can reinstate the adhd diagnosis cause anytime i did neuropysch testing growing up i answer questions avoided diagnosis cause i didn't want to be on meds i was going through my old documents and as far back as 2nd grade i actually had the adhd diagnosis and my school records shows alot of adhd symptoms they kinda brought up my ocd diagnosis cause they think differently what could be causing issues but the thing is people can have all 3 they walk around things
Have you ever go to doctors and have any heart rate above 100 without meds and just resting level?
not that I can remember but I can go check like visit reports. I remember being in high school off meds and even hitting like 140 resting heartrate
Like i have tachycardia I'm gonna get any possible heart conditions ruled out cause I'm trying for the stimulant and made that aware to my pcp and cardiologist i also told the cardiologist I'm concerned it's pots cause i have fibromyalgia and it can be common for people to have both
Yea that's tachycardia
I wasn't sure if it was that or the social anxiety
the cause I mean idk what caused it
I need to get a fitbit and track my heartrate when I'm alone and not in public as well
I mean that wouldn't hurt you could get a smart watch idk about apple but i know samsung ones does the heart rate
yeaaaaaa I'm just not a fan or spending alot of money
my heartrate rn just sitting here is I believe 120? I did a workout but that was def like 2 hrs ago I think
then again I have no idea if that's cuz of GAD or a medicine side effect
lemme check visits before I was on bupropion
also last visit my blood pressure was 140/90
with uhhh 121 pulse
when I was only on zoloft I had a 70bpm pulse
it's really hard to tell but I think the higher bpm in public is just anxiety but based on what I'm seeing it might be the atomoxetine
I mean your heart rate always goes up with activity but i think what's more important is resting level like for instance i can get 130-150+ at resting levels
yea my resting is 120 currently
I wonder @rose vale do you by any chance have inconsistent reaction times? I bounce up and down sometime i have the most insane reaction times and i have ones that aboves the avg of 200ms that's another reason why i want a med that can bring me to normal function levels
actually yea but I never noticed it until I got tested.
there was this reaction time test thing and it fluctuated a lot
Yea sometimes I'll have reaction times in the 120-150ms range then I'll bounce to like 220ms
I think I was like zoning out or something
I remember focusing and then thinking about stuff then telling myself to focus again lmfao
Idk i feel like i can focus but no matter how focus i am i still bounce
I think it was especially because it was long and boring tho
I feel that
it could be worse for me idk I was on 2 non stimulant meds when I was taking the test so
What's weird is i know they focus on working memory for adhd but that I'll bounce from below avg to avg and sometimes had scores in the above avg
it really effects me when playing games tho I notice it alot
the amount of times I auto pilot, forget a comm that someone just said, get overwhelmed very easily and can't think straight or slow down, comms being told multiple times before I finally process it
stuff like that
and irl as well I have terrible memory and mental fatigue
Lowkey i think playing alot of games especially challenging ones that was rated M which i shouldn't of played at a very young aged helped me with working memory
But my processing speed always been low which is why i want a stimulant cause trying to learn especially things I'm interested in i lose interest and i multitask and i drop what I'm doing
I told the pyschiatrist that i don't want the med to gain advantage in things cause i know alot of people fosh for that but i want it so i cam learn and push through things and i would actually benefit from cognitive behavioral therapy and stuff if i was on a med like that there's a lot of pros than cons in the way i want go about it
trap/shoulder hurts while playing, tried raising my chair issue still persisting, am I just raising my shoulders subconsciously?
@wild grove
Hello everyone!
I having some trouble here. After playing a match that made me nervous or anxious my arm start shaking a little bit. It gets worse when I try to do any kind of effort (shoot or tracking, e.g.). What can I do to stop this? Should I see a doctor? Exercise those muscle groups help?
I might have an autism spectrum disorder, I don't know if that's why I'm bad at everything, every time I get anxious
@velvet spindle who should I ping next when someone types this
anyone on the mod team is fine
sry i got hacked
yes but choose one
go for wawe
bet
I personally don't think that me taking meds is gaining an advantage because my at my base self is already at a disadvantage
I kinda think of it as just stabilizing it
I kinda look at it as an advantage cause i already play at a high level without it and really improved my aim i think it would put me at an unfair advantage cause I'll have the consistency i don't have
ehh for me it's not. my memory, motivation and mental fatigue is just cooked the entire day despite how healthy I try to be with eating, physical activity and sleep. No matter how hard I wanna play even after 1 match I'm almost so mentally tired it's impossible to not lay down
my anxiety makes me tense all the time and my hands are shaky so medium to fast sens is harder to control and my wrist/arm fatigue very fast
even my jaw when I'm aim training lmfao
Please
What's the actual question you're asking ?
Myvquestion Is that related? I've noticed I have trouble analyzing my game or thinking clearly.
Yo, can anyone direct me to some resources regarding caffeine usage for gaming?
I'm basically drinkng 1 can of monster daily (i drink it throughout a ~5, hour period, usually from 10 to 15) and I'm worried that this could have some bad health results or that I've gained caffeine tolerance cuz i just dont really feel it working
@velvet spindle
the bigger issue here is that this intake will eventually destroy your liver and kidneys
What would you recommend? Quitting?
If you need caffeine, swapping to coffee or even black tea would be a good start. I'm also not saying that you should quit drinking altogether, but one can daily is a hefty dose.
just hydrate and work to improve your sleep
But yeah, enough water and sleep are the best option.
I was thinking about this, quitting caffeine alltogether (or switching to like 1 coffee a day or sth with ~60mg of caffeine) and then only drinking energy drinks for tournaments
I avoid caffeine at all costs
I drink a lot of water so i got that figured out, sleep definitely could use some improvement
most I have it in is tea
Just for long term health reasons or are you worried about developing an addiction?
Well, why are you drinking it
is the bigger question
long term health reasons and no actual reason for it
worst case scenario I wake up tired
but at least I'm not stimulating myself to stay awake
i started cuz i liked the taste and then it kinda became a routine (i used it to give myself a treat basically)
??
Hey, aimers. Has anyone else experienced generalized anxiety disorder? Can it seriously hinder and slow down progress?
Or is this just an excuse?
I have the same problem as you. It's too hard, people are fake and ungrateful. I've already asked the question and was ignored. It's like streamers who are good and become ungrateful, and when they have problems, they get no help.
Can you elaborate? What is your experience with anxiety and how is it currently interacting with your practice?
It's really a pity... I had my first major panic attack in early January 2024, but then, after a full examination, I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder. I began to notice in games how this affects progress
Honestly, it's hard to call it a struggle with anxiety)) I was prescribed zoloft and atarax. I have been taking zoloft since April. I take Atarax according to situations and most often when I go out in public. I actually have a lot of symptoms, but each one is different. I went to psychotherapists for cognitive behavioral therapy, but it didn't do me any good
I've been anxious like this for 5 years. No one wanted to listen to me, and you would think that a psychologist would help, but it only makes you suffer even more. The only way is to be with people who will help you in every way, but given the world of assholes we live in...
I agree
I'm warning you in advance, no one is going to reply to you. They're going to answer you, they can't do anything about it, but they're big liars. As I said, to make progress you need to have good people who are there with you regularly.
Not sure what this other guy is on about but I'm sorry to hear that. I won't act like I've been through that, but if there's something specific about how that's showing up in your gaming you could share it might be easier for people to offer advice
Hi! Two of those links at the Nutrition section doesn't work anymore
This is normal
I'm unnecessarily tensing my neck and it's affecting my runs. What are some possible facors? (monitor height, posture, etc)
My default solution atm is to slouch a bit when I notice it, and that really helps for some reason
@tidal leaf
This is a mental thing
Hello can anyone guide/help me with these next following things?
Elbow pain, Tingling and numbness in pinky/ring finger, wrist pain and super tight forearm and hand muscles.
I was thinking of trying to get help from 1hp but im not sure if anyone has past experiences with them let me know
These problems affect my gaming and gym going
are there anyways to help with learning habits
@empty pendant
@summer trout go for gold
what abt soda? I assume if you did, you would drink zero sugar ones that aren't caffeinated like sprite. Unless you just don't drink that either
I used to have alot more caffiene but I started relying on zero sugar soda lol
how do i deal with arm fatigue beside rest?
i sleep 10+ hrs and wake up to red eyes, the sleep amount should be enough and been getting 8+ hrs but my eyes stay red
dry air is pretty common in the winter
vro im pretty sure sleeping more than needed is bad
maybe maybve
Definitely a physical therapy angle. Try and find a professional if you can afford it. If it’s affecting more than gaming I’d try and find an in person provider
Do you think i should book an consultation on 1hp?
I’ve never used it but my feeling would be to go to someone in person so they can physically examine you etc
Nerve issues, there is a lot to learn online for free if you can be bothered but I recommend you just find a PT or coach or something similar with good reputation if you don’t care for spending money
Nerve flossing stretching/moving in ranges you can tolerate trying to maintain good posture and a lot of patience with good nutrition will help, very generic advice that will apply to almost anyone in your situation but getting specialized help for your situation will be best
Feeling some fatigue in my wrist. Is it better to rest it to full and stretch. Or should I stretch it now while it feels tweaky.
I have a eye tic and it effects my performance while aiming and it always distracts me I cant focus at all. Is there anything I could try? Should I just go to a psychologist to get something prescribed
also have some sort of big focusing problems
ok north korea
are you already taking medication?
and make sure to get sleep, not drinking too much caffiene and reducing stress if any of those can be a cause
and obviously drink water
I should blink meanwhile aim training right? my eyes get super tired during tracking scenarios
i see some dust in my eye when i play kovaak on white theme
Recently my eyes start watering and my vision gets slightly blurry after looking at my computer for about 20 minutes how can I fix this?
Get sunlight
fun fact this is how i do those exercises
Special thanks to 1HP Dr. Hwu for helping me put together this routine to keep myself prepared for the intensity of aim training sessions. Glad to finally share it with you all.

@rose vale so i moved to an in person pyschiatrist who apparently has about 30 years of experience i started the first appointment why i changed prescribers i told him what I'm looking for he asked me why i want a stimulant and what benefits i think i would gain from it i told him about i want to get on meds that can regulate my brain cause it's hard to get motivated to learn stuff even stuff I'm interested in i told them i always bounce in performance with anything i do i want to also get back into stuff like speech therapy and other things and think a med like that will greatly improve the effectiveness he said he would want to start me on one but said i need to do a test called creyos to see if i actually have adhd and need a clearance letter from my cardiologist stating it's a safe option for me
I did asked them for what other non stimulant options than wellbutrin i can take with my amitriptyline cause i tried tamper off of it but things got worse especially my carpal tunnel so I'm staying on it he gave me strattera to try i don't think it'll work but doesn't hurt to get that out of the way i do have an echo for my heart next week i might see if my heart doctor will clear me if that comes back normal before my 2 week holter monitor results come back in march i have an appointment in april but i really don't want to keep waiting wasting time i want to start effective treatment asap
I'm not worried about adhd performance test i definitely have it and the documentation to prove it under the dsm-5-tr which is the changes of criteria and stuff an adult looking for adhd diagnosis most likely gonna have to provide childhood documents that shows signs and stuff at age 12-under which surprisingly i managed to get which should've gotten destroyed i understand the problem with adhd diagnosis in america and that they're trying to set guidelines to stop or slow down over diagnosing
The person is me; I asked almost the same question as him, but I haven't received any answers.
Is it better to slightly float your wrist on the mousepad or have it touching against the mouse pad when gaming? I’m asking from a health perspective
I think it would depend how high you are on your chair compared to your desk
If you're a lot lower down, having your arms raised would probably be worse
Vice versa
My forearms are 90 degrees when I’m sitting down atm
Like would it be better health wise to have my forearms resting on pad, with wrist slightly raised, or wrists also resting on pad ?
Don't take my word for it, since I'm not educated in this area at all really, but on first impression it would make more sense having your forearms and wrists resting
But you should also get up to stretch every hour or so anyway, so just include some wrist exercises if you're worried
Does anyone have a good workout regiment specifically for maintaining wrist health? For RSI from gaming
This is not only about aiming but stamina heavy games in general, does stretching my wrist might end up recovering my stamina for a time?
I keep noticing everytime i stretch my tired wrist in stamina heavy games like gd, osu, etc... i can keep spamming perfectly
ive been having the same thing but only in kovaaks, when im playing a normal game my eyes are fine
i need some advice, just recently started aim training, but whenever i do, my right eye waters constantly the whole time, yet whenever i play a game for hours on end for example, it doesnt water at all im really confused on why it is, ive never had any issues before
what theme do you use?
clover static
for everything?
yes
i'd experiment with using some darker wall themes, and more importantly textured walls for scenarios that have moving bots
am i able to change the color of themes on kovacks?
ya, you can also find some on kvk-hub.app
is there a tut on how too somewhere, ima check out kvk-hub.app too
just go to visuals tab in settings
u can choose materials, colors etc
appreciate you bro
Is using 107,2 edpi too low or bad for health while playing games such as cs2 or valorant?
Cm/360°
121.855
quite low for both of those games
Mods get his balls
holy
Holy hell i tried strattera and instead of doing anything it made me really tired
@empty pendant
My shoulder's actually hurting pretty bad rn
I've been playing a mix of things, but also a lot of static. But not hours per day
My posture is good. I'm sitting right next to the table, my elbow makes a natural 90* angle right by my side
What can I do? Played like 20 minutes of static rn and couldn't go past that
@tulip notch
is there like a reason for an uncomfy feeling around this area?
kinda like a random spot so like idek
any tips on better sleep 💔 been taking melatonin all my life and barely works anymore. Been laying in bed for 4 hours now and can’t fall asleep. Hate feeling sluggish and slow next day due to bad sleep.
try sports or smth that can get u tired, and dont eat idk 2 hrs before bed, try being off screens too before sleep.. make sure the room is dark and a bit cold thats what i always hear.
what works for me too is when falling asleep, waking up earlier like only sleeping 6 to 7 hrs and the next day going to sleep abit early.. u repeat that untill u fix ur sleep
Doctor
also sleep hygiene: go to be when you're tired, sleep at the same time, get out of bed when you are not sleeping, do not stay in bed for any other reason other than sleeping
If your rhythm is cooked, you could try waking a bit earlier than usually, not taking naps and then going to sleep early
have been to doctor sadly. I’ve tried most meds my insurance will cover. Ambien works great but lots of reports of sleep walking etc so i’m worried to use it again
@wheat charm
@rose vale my brain is cooked i scored the highest you can for adhd symptoms on the performance test
Even though amitriptyline is great for nerve pain and pain in general they also prescribe it for sleep i tried getting off of it and man i kept waking up like 10 times a night it's a good pill for sleep
i’ll look into it
It's a tricycle antidepressant your doctor probably tried the main sleeping meds but there's meds that can have heavy sedation to help with sleep the one i have for my nerve pain is one of them and if you deal with body pain you'll probably feel better on it cause the med boost the serotonin in your system
does it make you groggy next day? that’s another reason i stay away from ambien
For me it did because i was on a high dose but it's something that goes away and gets better for nerve pain they put you on a higher dose but it can be 10mg it might still be worth trying
It's like a med that you take 2 hours before sleeping like if you go to bed around 10-11 pm you take it 1-2 hours before
But i would say the groggy feeling for me is probably worse cause i have chronic fatigue
Real
Can people stop getting their accounts hacked
LMFAOOOOOOOO
You can't fix stupid sadly
Stop clicking on the free robux button
Well now least I'm 1 step closer to stimulants i just need my cardiologist clearance i had an echo done which came back perfectly normal just need the doctor to look at it and see if it's enough to clear without the holter monitor results I'm on 2 weeks so first week of march i have to mail it out and it'll take 2 weeks and that means I'll have to wait for beginning of april if he needs that first
I'm gonna try to get a med that works for like 10 hours for days i want to be productive and one that works for like 3-5 hours if i want to be productive but not all day cause i want to have off days and stuff so I'm not taking it everyday i think everyday would be way too much
my psychiatrist gave me adhd meds without checking anything outside of my blood work 🥀
and it doesnt even work
or maybe im expecting too much
idk
That's bad cause cautious pyschs make sure your heart can handle it i had to change my pysch cause the first one only really wanted to do non stimulants but with me being on amitriptyline only gives me 3 options and i exhausted 2 already the last one is blood pressure med that lowers it but i have perfect blood pressure so it doesn't make sense to take a pill that'll lower it
The thing is nowadays it's extremely easy to get adhd diagnosis that's why some places people will make you do more tests than other pyschiatrist or psychologist would everyone is different i have a friend who isn't even adhd and was given ritalin off label for depression and it made his anxiety worse and i was like wtf why would they give you that it's clearly abuse of writing scripts
Did you do any kind of test or was it questions that's related to adhd
This doesnt really happen in my country tho
i went to get diagnosed for smth else
and after i got diagnosed this thing
psychiatrist mentionned i probably have adhd
It's easy in the us but not everyone is willing to do testing or prescribe because how many people want or try to get on stimulant meds
then made me a "test" which was pretty much asking question to me and my mom
the other thing being autism
🥀
as far as i know this has a tendency to kinda change how adhd affects someone
I had to do a performance test even though i provided him the required documents under dsm5 cause if you have documents that shows the symptoms from age 12 and under they can be used but he wanted me to do that test
People can have both it's called audhd
i answered some questions about adhd from dsm5
didn't do any kind of performance test
I have autism lvl 2 which is moderate
ye i know
I want the stimulant cause I'm tired of always being fatigued and chronic brain fog my forehead always feels like it has a brick in it
tbh idk i might aswell be wrongly diagnosed since i tried basic ritalin and ritalin LA and now im on concerta
which doesn't change much
30mg aswell
so not a super low dosage
never heard of levels existing icl
Yea they changed how it is level 1 is basically what aspergers was
Have you tried adderall or vyvanse cause when it comes to stimulants it's like other pills some don't work while some do it also depends on the dose
Adderall is completely illegal for me
didn't try vyvanse
guess its what i will try next if concerta doesnt help
I'm gonna try for adderall first if the cardiologist clears me i want the xr one and the ir for days i want to be productive but for only little amount of time cause some days i just want to sleep
Is it just completely banned in your country?
yh
even ritalin is very strictly controlled
way more than stuff like xanax
which i find ridiculous
Damn so regulation is worse than the us cause stimulants are scheduled 2
What's weird is xanax is level 4 which is the 2nd lowest so stimulants are 2 levels higher
I had valium for a medical test to help my anxiety and the pharmacy didn't make me show my id to pick it up
I don't understand my country like if most of the world bans one thing why the fuck is it not banned here
🤷
Would you say you improved in general when it comes to games or the meds just flat out don't work for anything
hmm ritalin IR did felt like it made me slightly better
the rest didn't
tho i take the meds everyday
soooo
Damn i hope mine work if i do get cleared i wanna get back into hobbies and learn stuff but it's extremely difficult ik somewhere in between im gonna game with it in my system
I hope it works for u
like i said personally it didn't help me at all im still procrastinating my hobbies
- my work
even video games
get this feeling of wanting to play but end up not playing at all
Ik it's difficult but lowkey if that med works and it helps my brain fog so my creativity can come back i wanna learn how to make custom zombie maps for bo3
I procrastinate my aim training i do it about daily but the last month my time spent between resetting make sure I'm on a constant pace to be in the range i want or taking break when needed increase my 1 hour playlist into like 3 hours
congrats
Concerta goated
The 18mg ones were useless to me after like 5 days of using
54mg is really good and consistent whenever you grow the tolerance not to get massive headaches from that
you also have to develop the skill to start doing stuff
much easier on medication, but it's a skill nevertheless
for sure
You do but if you have low dopamine levels it's gonna be difficult to start things or be motivated and start something and finish it
@summer trout
I have annoying issue basically my thighs are very strained after gaming sessions
I hate you because You are only helping a few people the others ignore you
Concerta was worst thing I had now on elvanse I feel good
I felt super slow and heavy on concerta also had anxiett
no matter how much sleep i get i start to fall asleep when i aim train
help
@tired grail i wanted to know cause i was curious what was your vt rank before you started med treatment
@tulip notch
@velvet spindle
nova 😭
i haven't really played that much aim trainers since then
That's fire so yea the meds probably don't do much then
hey ive got an ergonomic related problem if anyone doesnt mind helping with some advice: i have a full time thats very tough on the wrists, then come home and do 1h aim training, 2-3h ranked/scrims.
i stretch properly but because of my work i still have a pretty beaten up wrist (electricians are notorious for wrist injury), which shakes pretty badly when im tracking to the right past the first little bit of my wrists' range of motion.
im no pro, but i participate in scrims and some low-rank tourneys with a team, so i would love to aim to my best ability and if theres ANYTHING that might help this issue (playing less, training smoothness more, stretching more, incresing sens),
i would be very open to giving it a try.
Ive also considered training again in the gym, and focusing on wrist strength more as a possible option.
For context, im a fox complete on viscose benchmarks, plat voltaic all @ roughly 30cm/360 (havent benchmarked it in a while though), so its not as simple an issue of being generally undertrained, this problem developed with my new jobs strain on my wrist in the last couple months.
Anyones input would be appreciated, thank you!
I would see if you have nerve pain and probably get on a med for it
didn't consider that actually thank you! i'll book an appointment.
Does it feel like it's burning and numb?
i wouldn't say that, it's more like a pinching when i'm over a certain range of motion that makes me shake a ton but i can still track.
maybe i'll pick up some deadlifts and bench make it a full gym thing.
specifically targetting your wrists i mean
I mean it wouldn't hurt to get it examined cause you can develop stuff like carpal tunnel in a job field like that
yeye got it, stuffs permanent without surgery i believe so def best to check😭
wrist curls and such? sounds like a good idea
yep
anyone know why my finger twitches when i use my mouse
@empty pendant W kai
@tulip notch
pinky tense during control tracking and stuff involving tension
anybody got mental advice? i feel like a suffer a lot from my inner voice telling me i play like ass 😭
Tell yourself that you rock
With your outside voice
does this work
it's mostly just a really bad loop i got going on
I do bad > i tell myself im bad > i do even worse
Take a confident pose
Stand up
Flex
And tell yourself that you’re good
And if you’re annoyed by not being good, practice until you are
CBT
Just keep telling yourself the truth (that you are good) and you will eventually start to internalize it
Like, do the opposite of this. You can see how effective this is at killing your confidence, so the opposite should be effective as well
good way to put, i appreciate the advice
hello does anyone know how to fix hand pain this recently started hurting like a bitch & is making me have too hop off the game/aim trainer because it hurts so bad
hey what should I be doing if my thumb of my aiming had is hurting from its joint?
my thumb hurts bro like the connecting part
ye same
just got the op1w 4k yesterday, put about 6-7 hours in and am noticing discomfort in the right side of my wrist that I didn't have when using my gpx2. Does this mean the mice might be too small for me?
Are there any exercises that make your reaction time faster so you can game better for eSports
I don't do much physical work or walk much
just being healthy
sleeping and walking
Just do 1hp stretches
Just do 1hp stretches
are there excersizes like workout
anyone got tips for a pain near the shoulderblade
specifically my mouse arm
a muscle pain to be specific
like I strained it maybe
Hey there, I've a weird thing going on, specifically only when i'm doing aim train, my eyes get quite watery and tired, it doesn't happen when I play or spend otherwise time on PC. I think it might be due to me not blinking as much, or barely blinking at all during the scenarios, but it's quite weird, and sometimes I mess up my scenarios because I quite literally start seeing "blurry" because of the "water"
Ive had this where playing aim trainers for a long time (4h a day) or games like osu my eyes would get blurry and watery and my pupils would also start shaking everytime i’d blink or look left or right
Solution: Pause from using your pc and phones for a week or as long as you need to
why do i get pain in my back on the right side when im playing kovaaks
i got that too
As an addition, pretty practical way to perform radial and ulnar wrist deviations, sitting right in front of the PC:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCzLPLEW0ag
hi guys, i'm looking for help concerning eye strain/burn (from dryness?)
i just started getting into aim training and after less than 10m my eyes start to wear down insanely fast during a task to the point where even blinking purposefully doesn't relieve the burn, idk wtf to do, i feel like a big poop because of it
^ what helped me as a depressed teenager that wouldnt leave his house needed to fix mental health and hit big weight on the bad side
not alot but a good starting point
for those who need it
yes mrbeast, i will pay you $60 to verify im a real person on ur 200+ fake gambling sites and then pay more money when i try withdrawing the free $2700 thank you!! 🕺
on a real note check ur pc for rats or infostealers
Hello hello, not so long ago i'va noticed that I have slow ass reflexes, on an average human benchmark i'm around 182ms, and in a good day while being really welle focused and feeling great, around 174, I don't think my setup is a thing, good pc, good screen, and good mouse with the dingle right ahead of the pad, so if you have tips to enhance this...
lower screen brightness/get monitor lamp/your screen has bad quality which makes it worse for your eyes others may not have that issue with same screen
whenever that happens to me its cuz of lack of sleep
maybe im just slow as hell but this is pretty fast no? average human reaction time is well above 200ms
hey thanks guys, i lowered brigthness by 1/4 and did the opposite of what people suggest by turning off all lights in my room (i had a white light to not play in the dark like i used to) and now its way better
Its because white led light is bad for your eyes, because sunlight has whole spectrum of colors compared to rgb which is only 3 colors, and dont ignore the fact that playing in dark room isnt also best for eyes, i would aquire monitor light if i were you.
I don't think so honestly, for the average humans yes it seems okay, but among the peoples who plays on a daily basis, I think the "good" ones are around 150/160
i mean im at around 170-180 avg like you and i dont ever really feel limited by my reaction time and im pretty competitive in the game i play
i'd say go for 60 brightness + 60 contrast in sufficient lighting
i got around 4-5 hours out of a session with that
if possible, set up ambient lighting behind the monitor
really ? between days where i'm at 174 and ones at 185 I feel an ENORMOUS difference in game, when i'm good with 172 i pull games with like 25/30 kills (cs2, faceit 5/6) and i feel to always shoot before the enemy, when i feel a bit tired and i'm at 190 +-, i end up doing 6 kills in the whole game and getting killed before even shooting a bullet, and when i play against higher ranked players like faceit 7/8/9, even when i'm fine i get destroyed on every duels because they shoot before me like they react really faster, with that as i'm super bad on tracking i looked up at some videos, and while comparing my own try on a task and a one with a good score, they seem to react really faster at a direction change of the target
(hope you understand my english isn't really good)
dont get me wrong, having faster reaction times helps a decent bit but theres tier 1 players with 175ms or slower reaction times
ho really ? good to hear ! then it means that the problem is probably just mechanical (counter straf, crosshair placement etc), and obviously i'm only talking about pure duels not the rank in itslef where gamesens and strategy are required (to not be misunderstood when talking about faceit ranks), well, thanks a lot dude, saved me some time to not worry about a problem that doesn't really exist !
yeah np, im not the best cs player at all so i may not be perfectly right but i see mechanics as a way to get you out of spots you shouldnt be in, like if you have perfect gamesense and positioning even with terrible mechanics you would be able to do well in 3k+ elo lobbies (i know people like this)
yeah exactly ! I also have friend that thinks exactly like this but eeerm, that's not my case, in my opinion raw skill really is more valuable than "compensative" strategy, you can setup a very good defensive setup on a site, if a guy in front of you can just run and hit HS on 3 of you, you'll still end up by loosing the round, and that's why i really want to have both, and train myself beside strategic views, to have as much raw skill as possible
as long as you dont build bad in game habits because you are overconfident in your mechanics this is a good idea
like, you can never have too good of aim in any game (donk)
the problem is that its so hard to get that good at aiming
haa bro, that's why i'm here, i feel like that my aim is "stuck" since 2 or 3 years, it's soooooo hard to improve
if you only care about cs and thats it then i would say just no life DM
if you play any other game then kovaaks/AL is really good
and getting better score on kovaaks is a things, but transfering it to games is another
yeah cs is actually my main game but I play many other fps, so i just need raw aim
I always thought that I had a pretty decent aim, but the benchmark is waking me up lmao
thats how i am tbh, im falling out of my love of cs so after this season im prob gonna stop sweating but now i play apex and other aim heavy games
yeah and apex have a totally different aim than cs
you might in cs specific stuff, like donk is prob only master in certain benchmarks but i wouldnt be surprised if hes nova+ in specific tasks
yeah for example on wide tracking like you only see in 360 games like apex, overwatch etc
that's the ones where I struggle the most as the 2 games that I played the most (and discovered fps with) are CS and R6, so i assume that it's probably the same for you
weirdly enough smooth tracking is my best category 🙁
i stink at pasu/micros
getting back into aim training after a year of playing cs DM so i think it got better but when i stopped my score sheet was 900 for smooth tracking and like 690 in dynamic
yeah one year of cs should have helped, then good luck for your training !
thanks! you too
also if you ever want some cs specific advice (macro positioning etc) feel free to ask me
ho, I would definitely need some ! i'm actually mid 5, but i just started faceit, and I honestly etimate my level around mid 6 (1000 hours in total, but since 2015 💀)
ur doing fine then lol, i prop got to level 4-7 around 1500hrs and stayed there for a long time haha
Hello, Could i get some Health tips to implement in my daily basis in order to be a better player overall?
Theres very well made guide on #resources chanell.
My right shoulder sits lower than my left shoulder and it’s also rolled forward. This is because I spent a lot of time reaching forward when aiming.
My arm and wrist have always been planted. Today I lifted my right shoulder and matched it to my left one, and my arm also lifted off the pad and my aim is more free. But I only end up with my wrist on the pad.
Should I keep doing it? I feel no pain from doing so in case that matters
Im gonna check it out
when im aim training for large time periods my left shoulder starts hurting even though im using my right arm to aim does anyone know how to fix this?
Train shoulders
Fair will do
I think being painless is a massive w
the methods were not "placebo", my reaction time improved significantly (awping clips to better illustrate the timing)
whats the method
see my previous messages
When aiming or just playing in general, should the elbow be pinned to the side of your body or moving with the arm?
hey whats the best posture? i feel like some postures heavily limit my movement and im just struggling to find something that feels good and fits
i hate my arm being stuck on the desk
adjust the height of the table and chair to be comfortable
Tried that and cant find a good spot..
Too high and way less movement
Too low and my shoulders start hurting and my aim is inconsistent and feels off
moving with the arm
not much tho
@nova pawn check out Ron Rambo Kim how your table and chair affect your aim on YouTube
depends, what game are you focusing
oblivity have vid on that
specific game, kovaaks or in general?
needs to be on table static I'd say from my coaching sessions
when u're moving it w arm, more stutters on aim
no?
yes
I think ive watched every vid on posture i found (not many on yt) and still have not been able to figure it out
Kovaaks val ow
check oblivity, lmao
I watched that video twice
Tried the ideal mouse and keyboard tilt and all
Gave me a 1 week confidence boost and thats all
Who told you this
wym
experience
Does anyone know, from personal experience or otherwise, if bouldering helps with/amplifies forearm muscle soreness after sessions?
Depends on intensity of bouldering and length of aiming sessions (if that's what you're asking). They both use some of the same muscles in the forearm, and bouldering is high intensity and aiming is seen as long duration
@summer trout
is there any exercise for my eyes that can help with aiming or even just seeing harder to see stuff like tiny animation changes that tell more than u would think?
@tulip notch logan paul being generous today
😭
im in the same position bro
nothing ever feels right and tutorials don't help at all
holy fuck can yall stop getting ur acc hacked
no
my left thumb muscle thing hurts from aim training (i use spacebar to shoot) is there smt i can do to help this or just aim train less?
press it with a different finger
or play aimbeast where you can have autofire
did u look for a doctor
triggerbot? 😭
an aim training doctor?
nah its an aim trainer
but it has an option where u can toggle autofire for scenarios
so u don't have to hold
oh holding isn't much of an issue
i've been mostly working on clicking scenarios and that has been what's doing it
but for holding yea i can just rest my hand on it or sum
but doesnt having to hold the click change the way u aim
so shouldnt u focus with what is most realistic to the games
wdym
i use spacebar to shoot
it doesn't change the way i aim bc it's not with the same hand anyway
ohhh
also kovaaks is my main game anyway

im pty sure its better to have it on mouse
cause then u don't have to coordinate both hands
just started aim training again after a few years and ive been at it for a week but ive noticed my eyes feel strained and i havent been playing well in-game on valorant is there any advice or should i just take a break from my screen?
coordinating both hands is NOT an issue tho 😭
just think about typing or smt
u have to coordinate both hands for that and typing is ez
because you have too many buttons for one hand hell one finger to handle
but why do you have to complicate it and not use index finger that isnt doing anything anyway
you are adding processes
where they don't have to be added
especially if you don't have an he board
then you add input delay cause of the switch
not really
again, coordination is such a non issue
and i do have an he board, so it's fine
in my eyes, putting primary fire on my mouse is what complicates things, because then i have to introduce tension sporadically throughout my runs
even if there were only 5 buttons, i would split it between two hands so i can have better fingers doing the work 😭 that is not the only reason to use two hands
besides, i type 200 wpm so again coordination is NOT an issue
but how about this
if i ever plateau then i will consider switching it to see what happens
but so far i've been p good
you're having health issues cause of it
yeah that's true
but also it's not just the tension thing that causes me to have spacebar as primary
it's way more optimal for cpvp since i can butterfly click right click and still spam left click to break crystals
but i think i'm gonna move to rdfg from esdf movement so i can have my thumb closer to the center of it and i'm gonna get o rings so the travel is less
@wild grove
just started getting pain near the back of my elbow after starting aim training again idk if my arm is cooked or if its just burn from not having played aim trainers in a while, hand doesnt seem weak but the slight pain im getting is distracting. I notice its worse if I dont lay my elbow on the pad and leave it floating/hanging on the edge of the table/pad
How high off the table are your arms?
Its angled a little bit downwards
does it seem like a muscular burning pain (like you have done low weight high reps at the gym) or more of a sharp, uncomfortable pain
How come I play a LOT better when I'm drunk? it feels like I shouldn't
