theres fortunately downtimes that make it somewhat bearable
it doesnt stay the whole time
just suddenly happens and goes
weird as hell
like now its suddenly like sort of gone but i think if i sit down at my pc itll be back
yeah laying down for now
I’m back my bad, nothing too major right now but I’ve always felt like I’ve had weak wrists. I shake a lot with wrist movements so I use my arm a lot more than I should
Even after 100 hours or so of smoothness and tracking training. I’ve found my own ways around it but after seeing matty talk about it I figured I should do something about my wrist weakness too
Thanks for the info
Also what mouse grip is best for gaming to prevent cts
And relieve it too
is the pain related to how far you’re breathing in at all
nop
i talked to a friend now and it could be cuz of my diet and some posture
cuz i dont have a proper routine or anything
yeah that can help with your body’s expectations
you said it doesn’t seem or feel like a stomach issue either right?
Love that you're being proactive! We've got some really solid exercises you can try; it's a lot more about endurance than about strenght, so make sure you're thinking of it as a marathon, not a sprint.
Try one of these and see what you think:

Wrist pain is by far the MOST common complaint I get when I work with pros and gamers. And the first thing they often encounter online are resources telling them to rest, brace, just do stretches! Sorry, that’s not going to help in the LONG run. Thes...
gotchu, thanks a ton mann :)
Technically, a vertical mouse is best for alleviating carpal tunnel, since that's the question you actually asked.
BUT in most cases, we find that folks have tendon issues, not nerve issues. You might be better off working on endurance. It's also worth considering the pros and cons of different types of grips. None of them make you more or less likely to get arthritis, for example; they just place different strains on different parts of the forearm/wrist/hand.
Palm = least precision and control, but most even distribution of muscle work
Claw = better mouse control compared to palm, but more extensor muscle use
Fingertip = most precision and control, but most forearm engagement (extensor muscles, flexor muscles, even a bit of brachialis/brachioradialis)
Ok
My carpal tunnel is in the pre stages so I think taking a break from the m and k will be the best option
So it doesn't get worse
Won't a vertical mouse but more pressure on the thumb?
So the thing about vertical mice is that they don't actually solve all problems. They just change where stress is distributed. And yes, it does tend to put more pressure on the thumb--which means it might alleviate carpal tunnel symptoms, but cause thumb issues unless you're doing some endurance work to prep your thumb muscles for that load.
Will endurance work be bad for cts or help it if you already have it and if it is good for cts then what are some exercises for endurance?
If you already have CTS, as in you've gotten a diagnosis, I'd recommend working with a physical therapist so that they can both help you with rehab and help you with an individualized maintenance/progress program.
That's something we offer virtually here:
https://1-hp.org/game-without-pain/
But I'd also be happy to help you find somebody in-person and local to you if you'd rather.
i havent gotten a diagnosis yet but i know for sure its carpal tunnel
so ive sorta diagnosed my self
I'd really recommend getting a diagnosis from a professional--carpal tunnel syndrome can look like a lot of other hand and wrist conditions, and the way that you treat them really varies depending on the actual cause.
Ok will do sometime
feels like i just did a workout but my wrist feels a lot looser now, thanks a ton @surreal orbit
what workouts did you do i want to do them
It's pretty crazy, right? We think of tightness as something that has to be stretched out, but a lot of times tightness indicates that something just needs movement and strengthening.

yeah its insane, i think i have a long way to go in terms of bullet proofing my wrist but if i keep up with them im sure my wrists will be feeling strong in no time
ive been trying to eat less, specifically not having breakfast, but having water on an empty stomach makes me very nauseous. is that normal/fine? will it stop eventually?
its definitely not normal, idk if its bad or not, if its persistent or gets worse definitely worth getting it checked out
it doesnt seem to have any other effect than being incredibly annoying
and it passes within 30 mins or so
if it doesnt change i think ill be fine with it
yeah understandably annoying, is your water room temperature?
probs a bit cooler
if its quite cold it be maybe effect it but if its just a bit cool it should be fine
but it could just be your body adjusting to new routine, if youre used to eating in the morning your body is probably producing stomach acid around that time
you can go pretty gentle with a rice bucket tbh
i def find it better personally than weights but im not trying to get jacked
just condition myself enough to game without pain
Rice bucket exercises are awesome for endurance, which is much more relevant for gaming for sure!
Are you sure it's your vein and not a tendon?
So tendons--and even veins--should move a little bit! That's what they're designed to do. Your body needs a degree of flexibility so that it can bend without breaking.
If it feels stiff or painful, though, or if it's interfering with your ability to play comfortably, it might be worth having a PT look at it. We do offer free screening consults, and if it turns out to be something that needs a more in-depth assessment, we can do that as well.
Should I still do the exercises even tho I think I overstretched a couple days ago. I noticed tingling happened after I stretched
I have been gradually getting back into exercises but I am unsure if I should
Exercises and stretches shouldn't make pain worse. Sometimes, you might have soreness (3/10 pain) while doing them, but if an exercise increases your pain, it's definitely worth being cautious about.
I'm convinced im picking up some injury but im not sure what it is, the tendon on my middle finger hurts a bit and it even feels there's slight tingling towards the tip of the finger, what could it be? My ring finger also feels like the joint locks whenever my finger is extended, is that a form of arthritis?
Ok
I also noticed tingling with it as well
So I have taken a break from gaming and will hopefully be able to return in a couple of days with moderation
So.. i legit forget that I'm hungry. I eat breakfast every day, even if i don't feel hungry. Then at some point during the day i'll notice that I feel hungry. When I am able to act on it right away its usually fine, but if I can't act on it (at work/in class), or i'm lazy or if i'm clicking dots while waiting for hot food to cool down then after like 10-15 minutes i forget that i was hungry, or i forget that i made food.
i do the exact same thing
same, sadly the only solution for me is to force myself to eat right then and there
sounds like you need better techniques to manage stress in your life
saying that in a genuine constructive way
still your hobbies shouldnt make you want to break things
better for your wallet sure
^ I agree with this @warm flax
You need a better way to manage stress than anger
Doing something to alleviate that before gaming could help a lot such as working out maybe?
Do you have water while you game?
doesnt glide well? what is preventing you from replacing whatever is causing issues
could it be your mousepad rather than mouse? I just dont see how breaking the mouse fixes anything right, thats why im saying its an unhealthy reaction
personally I’ve never heard anyone have issues with glide from bottom flexing? especially not across multiple mice, you say you press down so hard on the mice that they crack? I’m really not sure why youre applying any significant downward force onto the mouse while aiming, is your grip leading to these issues?
Perhaps doing something to calm your mental before and during; (ex: taking stretch break, walking off anger for a sec, beating fist in pillow, scream into pillow)
I personally feel like a new man after bullying my pillow for a few minutes
It’s a lot healthier than destroying your setup
no its not a proportional emotional response to a video game, if that is the simple answer you want
Video games are meant to release dopamine and serotonin
Not to destroy hundreds of dollars of equipment
Do you take your mental into account?
Actively doing things for your health in that area?
?
You’re having an physical reaction to an mental issue
if you want an informed expert opinion go to a professional?
The problem devises from your mental
Not from physical frustration
People can give opinion?
Not necessary to be rude
Can be ignored rather than an remark
Have you taken priority to your mental?
Do you prioritize your mental health
you can @ mention the clinical psychologist
@warm flax
I don’t know how to ask it otherwise
You take care of your physical by going to the gym
How do you take care of your mental? (Journal, meditate, etc)
maybe u need to buy a new mouse lol
why dont u get a new mouse?
? so maybe the mouse is fine?
wuts wrong with the mouse?
so its prolly not the mouse but either the skates or ur pad?
how to approach lowering tension, i feel a bit of pain in my fingers to the end of my runs mainly in static and dynamic i struggle with tension, any tips?
yes hold the mouse like you dont give a fuck it actually works
he means not caring about the end result and just focusing on improvement instead of scores etc
it does work
Hey, I just read the Lifestyle Guide in #resources and I saw mentions of a Fitaic 2.0 guide, is it out yet? I couldn't find it so I thought I'd ask
ty guys will try
How does overstretch pain in tendons and nerves feel like?
from my experience you'd be borderline on genuine pain, not just a nice stretch
I think I overstretched my tendons when doing a cts exercise
That happened about 3 or 4 days ago
I am worried I won't be able to play games for a while
It's prob cts but idk
so why does my back sweat like crazy
while i play games
like i can feel myself progressively get sweatier and sweatier only from my bavk
lower back
I keep waking myself up during the night multiple times. Sometimes I have a dream and after it ends I wake up and then it repeats. I feel pretty tired due to it. I don't lack sleep, it is just not continuous idk
Low sleep quality and not full sleep patterns
idk but whenever i do play kovaaks or aimlabs i have a pain behind my right shoulder always ,do these games cause this or should i go to the doctor any tips will be helpful
it only happens after 30 minutes of aim training
Hello, I am trying reduce my tension on my upper arm but sometimes it comes back and its hard to reduce it. And I am suffering from shoulder pain (right shoulder (mouse arm) )
If you're having it while doing aim training, I'm willing to bet it has something to do with how you're sitting, how much support you do/don't have, or how much you're using your shoulder while aiming.

Can I still play games even if I have an rsi and only game for 15 to 30 mins a day
Hi everyone,
I'm reaching out because I've been experiencing a recurring issue with my shoulder popping out of its socket more frequently than I'd like. It's becoming quite concerning and uncomfortable (also painful), and I'm hoping to gather some advice or insights from those who might have experienced something similar or have expertise in this area.
HI! A friend of mine (I'm asking for him because he doesn't understand english) suffers from random pain in his forearm from time to time. What could it be?, and how to prevent it?
If your shoulder is truly dislocating out of its socket regularly, that's something you need to see a doctor or physical therapist about in person. If you're in the US, in most states you can see a physical therapist without a prescription from a doctor for a certain period of time before they have to refer you.
If you want to find a physical therapist near you, there are two good options:
-
Use the Esports Health and Performance Institute's "find an expert" function. This is a directory of medical professionals who have experience with gaming/esports. https://ehpi.org/find-an-expert/
-
Use the American Physical Therapy Association's Find a PT function. This is a directory of physical therapists. They won't necessarily have gaming experience, but they'll still have all of the necessary orthopedic knowledge to treat you. https://aptaapps.apta.org/APTAPTDirectory/FindAPTDirectory.aspx
Unfortunately, that's a little too vague to give any good answers to. However, we do have a click-through guide that can help people narrow down the kind of pain they're experiencing, provide information about what muscles/tendons are in that area of the forearm, and suggest exercises and stretches that target those muscles!
Sadly im not from the US but i'll check it with a doc ^^
You might still be able to find someone on the EHPI page! We've got some international providers there, although it's still a little sparse--we're working on it.
kk thank u anyways, he is not very specific xD
Probably not unrelated! Good news is, thoracic outlet is very treatable with physical therapy. It's one of those conditions that's not super common in the general population, but among folks who spend a lot of times at desks/computers, it's more common.
1hp site has good videos
I would suggest looking into this first.
my left wrist always feels like it needs to crack and when i roll it around i hear little cracking noises any help with that>
Does it hurt when it cracks, or when it feels like it needs to crack?
I don't know if it's because of the grip, but my right middle finger doesn't work well and it hurts when I press it. Why is that?
try doing some of 1hp's hand/finger exercises see if that helps and try to press on it with a finger to see if there's a specific spot that hurts
I have a strange issue with my shoulder probably slept on it bad but it hurts for a week now, not constantly but some movements really fkin hurt to do, been trying to stretch and move it which is tolerable but it's been like a week now and idk if i should go to a doctor yet or not
its a specific spot only, like the front part of the shoulder
tried massaging it, stretching and giving it a few days
still nothin
could be the connecting point between pec minor and the shoulder, try stretching the pec minor specifically
and doing upper body mobility
I did some shoulder exercises at the gym and it didn't feel like much, not sure if it should help or not
if u mean overhead presses while standing then its good mobility but not really stretching the pec minor as a specific stretch for it
any specific stuff you know i can do while sitting
u can stretch it while sitting too
like door or wall stretches
lemme see if i can find something
saw some on google but requires like bending down and shit
https://mikereinold.com/pectoralis-minor-stretch/
from it:
There is some evidence behind stretching. A study by Borstad in JSES in 2006 compared three different techniques of stretching and found that they all produced changes in muscle length, but that the doorway stretch was superior:
The doorway stretch = +2.24 cm
A manual stretch in the sitting position = +0.77 cm
A supine manual stretch = +1.7 cm
so doorway is most effective
u have images of the stretches there too
dont think so
so like at the front?
I sleep on my side but dont have issues, but yeah try not put unnecessary weigjt on it or anything
tight/overused muscle can cause pain, the connecting point of the muscle is a tendon
i had problems with it too
now im not sure its 100% the minor but i think it is
my dumbass decided it was a good idea to carry a box with a fan inside ontop 3 sets of stairs last week as well on the bad shoulder
baddddddddd idea
be a bit mindful of the shoulder for some days and u will feel a lot better 👍
stretching and mobility
aiming is not a good idea i suppose
of whole upper body
😭
umm if it hurts then i guess not
it sux but if it hurts then i wouldnt aimtrain
i used to play with pain a lot
bad idea -.-
be very careful with stretching dont do anything that hurts
if a muscle is injured for overextension stretching will only worsen that
it doesn't necessarily hurt but it can if i do a wrong move
showering is the worst
i literally feel my shoulder freeze
in place
just go easy on it as much as you can
like week and a half or so
pain worsened over time or stayed relatively the same
the same i think
there was a time where it felt fine
until i decided to fk it again with putting weight on it
ye i would rest it as much as i can, eat and sleep well
wonder if 1hp has any more ideas, checking up with a doctor is good too
idk if it will work but its definitely worth trying if it can alleviate pain / accelerate recovery
so depends how u feel afterwards
mm ok
top top
how do i see if i have atrophy in my thumb
from an image i saw, u should be able to see a sunk in thumb muscle, the one that connects to the thumb and wrist base
why do u ask that? did u injure ur thumb / develop carpal tunnel syndrome?
yes i did i prob have early to slightly moderate cts i didnt injure thumb tho but i can see my tendons a little bit on palm side of thumb more on right but only a little bit just barely
the tendons arent popping out but i can see a vague otline of one of them
i think its normal
they are just slightly visble no big sinks in them
I dont know if u have that, i thought u checked for it already. Do u have pain?
And if so where exactly
Because its not necessarily cts
Ill link this vid for general info
Does gaming really cause carpal tunnel syndrome? You’ve probably heard of carpal tunnel syndrome and how it might have ended the careers of many gamers. But is it really carpal tunnel that is doing this? Dr. Google keeps telling us it might be, but today we wanted to settle this once and for all. THIS IS ESPORTS MYTHBUSTERS
We are going to use...
my pain is distributed in my hands and forearm but it dousnt happen all the time it stops and then the more i use hands it worsens
but dousnt get very very bad just uncomfortable
Sounds like overuse or nearing it, resting, mobilizing and strengthening might help
ok thats what i have been doing i also think i overstretched so how do i strengthen them
i have been resting but havent mobilized them or been doing much strengthening
1hp site has detailed guide depending on pain area with videos and routines to do
@topaz bolt
Google “1hp site”, they also have youtube, but use the site for more details
ok
whats a 5/10 pain and what do the others mean on a 1 to 10 scale?
wait i think the excersises might be helping i will check back in about 5 or so mins
the excersises didnt comepletely remove pain but they feel nice to do i shuld still be careful not to overstretch tho
you are very helpful i knew where the 1hp page was i just wanted a link to minimize clicking but thanks anyways
when should i be able to game again?
Idk, when u feel recovered
U dont want to aggravate the pain
ok
i have been gaming through the pain not good idea doing that but the pain dousnt get bad until like 15 to 30 minutes of playing cod warzone 2
Keep the routines everyday and when u feel pain dont play, wishing u a quick recovery
ok will do thanks
for all the help
i also rarely get a tickly feeling in my thumb had one in my left today
Its something to do with nerves
ok
Hopefully it will get better as time goes on and u do the routines
yeah
Make sure ur posture is good too, no forward neck or too forward hands, things like that
Alright good night man
ok thanks
how many hours should i get for val im 15 years old and myh normal sleep sched is 2-3 am and wake up at 9 normally
3 comp games a day sounds good to me
I've always had a slight trembling hands issue, not really sure what caused it but is there anyone here who has similar issue?
I'm not sure if just my aim is shaky or is this hand tremor thing affecting it, like not gonna give up aim training but at same time wonder how far I can get with this 🤷♂️
I dont have experience with it, but im guessing u can still improve your aim and smoothness. Try searching the discord u might find good tips
Does anyone else get higher scores after a drink or two?
Just doin my nightly aim training and got a high score on all my stuff so far
What did you drink
What do you mean?
You said does anyone get higher scores after an drink or 2
Well beer for me but I’d imagine there isn’t much difference
Ok I don't think that would necessarily help what was the score diff before and after
There were several but +10% on most of them besides the precision one
Well tomorrow we'll see if you aren't getting +10% also was the score going up in time
Idk what you mean by score going up in time?
As time went on the next aim train after the other
Well I have a routine and do 3 of each thing, so there wasn’t much on the same exercise
But each exercise I got a pb
Ok
im glad creatine cheap cause this stuff taste bad anyone have one they like?
I heard alcohol makes the hand jitter less, it might be it
But dont start doing it consistently 😄
vodka toghether?
😄
Definitely not Im too broke
The more I try to sit correctly the more pain I get in my shoulder neck and back
if u have scapulae pain, and im assuming its probably the mouse hand side, strengthening the serratus anterior, and doing full upper body mobilization exercises, in addition to making sure the neck is in good position all the time (no super slouching of the neck while in bed watching videos etc)
will probably help
I mix mine typically with coffee. I get it unflavored cuz there is no point in a flavored creatine.
its good to incorporate because as u work on ur muscles they become tighter
u dont want ur range of motion to be smaller because of right muscles
tight
ur body will become more resilient if u work out consistently, so yes
what do u mean by strain
muscle activation or pain
oh
hmm
well, even cats when they sit for too long they stretch their body to amazing range of motion lol, so doing upper body mobility, even for 2 minutes a day, is beneficial for all and especially if u have upper back pain
tbh when i smoke i tend to get better scores on centering stuff
always better sober though
elbow literally killing me. what does one do?
i beleive its something related to ulnar nerve
Hey! It could be the ulnar nerve, it could be "golfers" elbow, it will probably take an evaluation to determine the source of the pain and the best way to treat it.
I'd reccomend checking out to book a consult https://1-hp.org/game-without-pain/
Hey it's important to keep moving and get up every 45 minutes to stretch / walk around. also strengthening your back at the gym will help!
Hey all we made a new splash page for gamers looking for resources! https://1-hp.org/fix-gaming-pain-archive/
Hello, I was wondering is there a good time to eat a meal before playing a competition or something, to have the "energy peak" when we play or just to avoid having a fatigue during the game
Probably not? There is a time of day where you'll feel most energized and clear in your head and that varies per person and variabels like sleep, nutrition and exercise change that time period a bit I believe. There's some people that are more clear and energized at 3 am while some are demons at 2pm. Just eating the food and drinking water would help. I'm sure there's a couple other things that help you get a more consistent energy level but those I'm not educated enough to know.
@plucky haven
It'll depend on what time of day you want peak performance and if your day to day routine and sleep are consistent or not. However, generally, for a competition scenario, we'd want to eat a full high quality meal about 3-4 hrs before to allow time for digestion. If you need it, a small snack 30-90 minutes before is also ok. There is a bit of a postprandial dip that occurs when blood is forced to rush to your intestines after eating (at the expense of the rest of your body), meaning eating anything to excess (even if healthy and appropriate for cognitive support) shortly before will compromise performance.
Wow, that's actually a thing?
Interesting, assumed it was as simple as eat food, drink water and exercise
it's perfect thank you a lot
Today I just tested it, I ate healthy and not too much and it was perfect
I felt way better overall in my day
Love to hear that
There's all sorts of fun things you can leverage with your nutrition for cognitive support and energy levels and such!
Glad to hear it! Feel free to ping me or dm me if you have any other questions relating to nutrition/supplements/hydration specifically!
I feel like my wrist is squezd, can someeone recommend stretching/warming up routine for pre and post gaming?
like i feel like my muscles are really thight
if that make sense
Yeah, I always stretch my arms, back, legs very hard but due to my hypermobility sometimes I can get relief and other times I can't. I usually fully extend them, then pull them back and repeat until I feel better, sometimes I'll go further.
I don't know the exact names of the stretches, but I do move my wrist to the full side and rotate it around until it feels better, might just be a hypermobility thing. But if you try it, stop it if it hurts or makes it worse. Also, I'd look earlier on in the chat, I'm sure a playlist has been sent for the wrist recently.
working out (any activity) will help any activity u do almost, be it mental or physical
did u see matty while he aims? his shoulder movements are sharp, i dont see weak people do that
Is using a backrest bad for posture?
i had a backrest that had a neck pillow that made the neck go forward, thats definitely not good lol
lower/mid back help is good tho, if u dont workout u can remove the backrest from time to time to get some work on ur lowback if u want
What does "sharp" mean in this sense? Would it mean quick, pinpoint movements?
i was picturing mainly his backward/forward shoulder movements, which seemed snappy and pinpoint ye
on the redbull tournament
same english is not my first one
Well that makes it worse, English is the only language I know lol, I only know a few words in other languages, not even enough to ask how someone is doing.
hahaha dw vocab is way less important than the heart ❤️
Hello, I would like some advice to remove tension and tremor in the wrist, I feel like, I have a hard time tracking, flicking and microadjusting.
This isn't necessarily video game related, but does anyone here have any advice for working out while taking Vyvanse? I find when I train intensely my heart rate feels crazy (despite being pretty normal for a heavy set at 180) but my extremities feel tingly like I've just finished a long run.
Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated
Hey everyone - for anyone who has followed the gaming wrist pain guide article ⬇️
https://1-hp.org/gaming-wrist-pain/
We were curious on how it has helped you over a certain length of time. Has it helped you improve your symptoms? What are you feeling now vs. before?
yo what to do if i have pinky cramps from playing (on keyboard hand) coz its in the air constantly
i have nowhere to rest it
Hello, i would need recomendations for stretching
Or warming up joints
I suffer pain after working out anything that involve biceps and forearms
Please
Can't you rest it on your ctrl or shift key?
well i cant press them
oh, so like you can't rest ur finger there cause you'll click it on accident? what keyboard
60he
doing those well and you're way ahead of most people tho
what type of pain and where specifically
joints?
Maybe try tweaking the settings to make it less sensitive
I have a sensitive keyboard but i cant tweak mine, its annoying sometimes
no its not about sens of key its just pressing down if i rest on it
The same pain that someone has after wotking out
Idk how to describe a pain
Ive never did that
lactic acid?
It last days
Do you strain your wrist with aim?
u can.
strengthening, mobilizing and stretching can help prevent it or reduce pain
like the routines on 1hp site
taking mini breaks and not aimtraining for too many hours can help too
Can wrist hurt because of this?
Hey guys, anyone here has experience with "zoning out" or really hard concentration issues ? I have this problem for quite a few years now sometimes stronger and sometimes weaker, right now it's so strong that basically when I start shooting at an enemy I unconsciously just start staring "through" my monitor.
I hope someone can give me advice in DM's or here.
do u get your daily 8 hours of sleep ?
In this video, CBUM or Chris Bumstead tried sprinting. We were curious to see how it would go if a bodybuilder tried sprinting. After all bodybuilding isn't about health. While athletes area bout it.
Well Cbum or Chris Bumstead tried sprinting and it didn't go well... at all.
Watch as we take on the challenge of sprinting and athletic performanc...
Daily reminder that lifting for mass is a cope and will not make you aim better
Plyometrics can decrease your reaction time though so try that instead if you're doing this for predominantly health and aiming
ATHLETES don't do this! In this video, I'm teaching you how to do plyometrics properly so you can become a better athlete and improve your vertical and sprint speed.
Plyometrics are a great way to improve your strength and speed, but if you do them incorrectly, you will make no gym progress from your plyometric workout. In this video, I'm going ...
ofc
Only up to 2 hours of low intensity like walking a day
And don't jog unless you have to
Bro you're not goggins
Ur just training slow twitch
U don't wanna recompose Ur muscle into being predominantly slow twitch because it fucks explosiveness and reaction time
i jog to the park now do calisthenics there jog back that does the trick
Did u change form and do u use barefoot shoes now
i did it with chest light inclined to the front
Do plyometric callisthenics like squat jumps lunge jumps explosuve split squat
Plyometric push up
When you do it fast and force yourself off the ground
Kinda like clap push ups
Actually exactly like clap push ups
yh i have those aswell in my push days
It is decent for shoulder but u get bad rom because Ur heads in the way
i do pseudo planche push ups and lift my feet at the end of the rep and hold for 2sec
Ur shoulder endurance is insane
yh been doin it a while
Thenx enjoyer here
I'll try to add more explosive moves to my workout
been doing too much strenght based and hold time based stuff
Make sure it's at the start of the workout though

I did tried to get to the level 10 push up he did on his push up video
hardstuck 8 can't hold with arms locked out and push yet
Because he's a villain
Didn't his gf break up with him that's the whole reason why he started calisthenics
yh and I think he had a kid with her too
Lamborghini did you get gold from axitrack Or pilltrack
Is that aimlab
Yes
yh it is
I got gold on kovaaks equivalent of both
Brubrubr
But I hit plat halfway to diamond on pill today
They r too hard for me
The pill is easier
I just got gold in pasu thinking of getting gold rank
Altho only 147 energy in total lmao
I'm gonna try to get another pasi high score and then start training for other tasks
I started gold so idk how to get there with aim trainers
Are you gold on reactive track
Do the whole benchmarks 2 or 3 times
You will get gold complete
Or at least get close
Wtf
But I also realised it's not how much you are doing the task but how you are doing
Are you hard grinding benchmarks?
I just had to change one thing and got gold pasu
Nope
Just pasu pasu pasu
Cus its fun
Yes most of it is technique
Do different variations
Do different harder versions or something
I thinking of that
And then do the benchmark
Wur rank r u rn
yh harder is better
Don't just do the benchmark 200 times in a row lol
Plat
Nice
What does it do
Makes your training more efficient
At the cost of your scores
Rarely but that can't be the only thing right
sleep is the main thing
not the only one
but the most important for sure
when I zone out when I'm aim training I litteraly stop aimtraining and go sleep
what you eat is a big factor
if you are under stress it also divides your attention

make sure u get deep sleep
Ill try kinda hard tho
Where does the difficulty lie in? Is there a task in the process of sleep that is creating a rut of sorts?
u can take a lil break and ease into it next time, like doing 70 and getting used to that then increasing a bit more
on pinned u have some stretches and mobilization to ease the pain
easing into it because the tendon/muscle needs to be strengthened before u can spam 100cm movements
also make sure u arent gripping too hard with it
I just have so much to do I work full time then i have Valorant team prac + individual training I play football and I need to cook plus the stuff that comes with it. I can't manage it
That’s probably it
I was doing smoothness on 45 and just jumped to 90cm speed flicking
you should stop playing 1w6t TE
I just play to build speed in static
Like fuglaapressure voxts static click raim
Alla that stuff
Ok, so then part of it is finding ways to optimize your week. I am in no way saying you are making excuses, I am just saying from my experience working with players, this is a common thing I find. Can you cook multiple meals/leftovers over the course of a day (lets say Sunday)?
Why can i sleep during the day and not during the night 💀
Few days ago i stayed up all night slept through the entire day. Yesterday i slept at 11pm woke up at 2 then went to sleep then waking up on intervals of 30 min each
Helps with matching target speed
Sounds like you've thrown off your circadian rhythm a bit! It can be a little tough to normalize, but there are definitely some things you can do to help with that. What's your goal bedtime/waking time?
My mouse hand is stiff, its been that way for months and even when i take a break I get an ache in my hand
Goal Bedtime: 12pm
Goal waking time: 8am
Probably yes, I was thinking of making a notion to be more productive but it's so complicated
Time Optimization
I sent this at 3 am for me, 2 hours later still cant sleep. Most likely because i accidentally fell asleep at around 6pm when there was a valorant game on.
Using my phone screen time, and some logic, i slept around 10 hours during the day as my alarm went off, and my mom came in turned it off before i fully woke up letting me sleep more 😭
So there's an app called Timeshifter that I've used (with a lot of success) to prevent jet lag while traveling to different time zones. You might be able to use it to gradually move to the kind of sleep schedule you actually want, and it even gives you options for whether you want to use caffeine/melatonin or not. I'd really highly recommend it.
In terms of things you can do right now to help, you can use light and food to really help set your circadian rhythm. When you first get up, you want to get light--preferably real sunlight, but a SAD lamp or even just a bright overhead light is fine--within the first 10 minutes of waking up. You could consider an alarm clock that has a built in lamp, I know Philips makes one.
You also want to get some kind of activity during the day. Even if it's just a 10 minute walk, exercise is shown to really help improve sleep quality and quantity. It's not something you'll want to do close to bedtime--in fact, it's better to do in the morning or early afternoon, especially if you end up doing something more strenuous than just walking.
Use your mealtimes to help your body get a sense of schedule. If you're aiming to be awake by 8, that probably means you'd be doing 9/noon/6 PM or so for your meals, if you were doing 3 meals in a day. Totally fine if you're not, but consider a few useful things:
- Try to wait 90 minutes after waking for your first caffeinated beverage, if you're going to have one. It helps with cortisol regulation.
- Your last caffeinated beverage of the day should be at least 4 hours before you're planning to sleep. Given how much difficulty you're having getting to sleep when you want to, I'd suggest 6 hours minimum.
- Stay. Hydrated. Seriously, hydration plays a huge role in daytime sleepiness/fatigue.
- Eat magnesium-rich foods like almonds, spinach, peanuts, and oats. Magnesium helps regulate melatonin production.

LETS TALK...
The AMA in particular is great, it was one we did for Voltaic with our sleep behavioral specialist, Daniel Bonnar. He's a psychologist who specializes in sleep.
hey this might be a dumb question, but - i have been aim training for the past 7 days and within those first 5 days were caffeine-free and now the last two days i have had stuff like cola or coffee and i noticed that my performance was getting much worse now, is it just a coincidence and i just got "weak days" rn, or could it actually have some effect on my aiming?
6:00 AM-7:00 AM = Workout
7:30 AM-1:30 PM = Class,Study
1:30 PM-2:30 PM = Shower, Eat
2:30 PM-3:30 PM = Learn Chinese
3:30 PM-4:00 PM = Learn 2 Code
4:00 PM - 9:00 PM = Study
9:00 PM - 9:30 PM = Aim Train (Hollow X Voltaic Apex Legend 30cm/360, Valorant Ramp Warmup 42cm/360)
9:30 PM - 11:00 PM = Play Games (FPS mostly)
11:00 PM - 11:30 PM = Eat + Watch Youtube
11:30 PM - 6:00 AM = Sleep
What do you guys think?
there's 5 min break after every task
forgot to include it
Looks good but depends on your goals imo
V balanced
idk about the eat + watch youtube part before sleep, but i aint an expert lol
Not at all a dumb question! It's definitely possible the caffeine is affecting your performance. It's also definitely possible the caffeine isn't affecting your performance. Let's talk about both options.
Some folks have a paradoxical response to caffeine where they don't get the energy/focus benefits. Some folks have a really strong response to caffeine and end up jittery. You might try something like green tea, which also has L-theanine, which helps mitigate some of the jittery effects.
It's also entirely possible that the issue isn't caffeine, but that the caffeine intake is a symptom. For example, if you got poor sleep or were low-energy due to poor nutrition/hydration, the caffeine can only make up for so much.
I think you're putting yourself on a really tight timeline there, and something is likely to get dropped.
For example, if you're sleeping until 6, you're not going to wake up and immediately be ready to work out for an hour. I also really wouldn't recommend eating and watching youtube right before going to bed--your body needs time to digest food, and watching bright screens + interactive/interesting things right before bed stimulates your brain and inhibits melatonin production, which makes it harder to fall asleep.
Also, depending on your age, that really might not be enough sleep. How old are you?
thanks for the answer, i am definitely one of the folks that don't get the energy/focus benefits lol, i have also thought about it being an issue with my sleep, since i have tried going to sleep earlier these past few days, but the thing is that my performance became poor a while AFTER i changed up the sleep schedule, could it also be some weird effect that just randomly popped up later on?
Nope! Just sometimes, when you're changing your sleep schedule, your body takes a little time to adjust.
thanks for the answer, i am 16.
So this chart shows when certain functions are at their best and worst. This is based on a 10-6 AM schedule, obviously things shift if you're sleeping at different times
yeah, 10-6 am is what i am looking for atm, since i am trying to get used to it before school starts up again for me
Ok! So your brain is in a REALLY crucial development stage, and when it's in that stage, you actually need more sleep than most adults. Like 8-10 hours for optimal function both in the short and long term. I'd revise that schedule and really try to get more sleep time built in.
thanks.
While you're shifting, things can definitely be a little off in terms of hormone and neurotransmitter production and regulation. Give yourself a little time to adjust, and maybe check out that Timeshifter app I mentioned further up in the channel.
Also if you want to know more about sleep generally: https://1-hp.org/blog/hpforgamers/sleep-better-to-play-better-sleep-and-gaming-performance-part-1/
thank you, i'll check both of them out
For a person like me
That procrastinate a bit to much
Seems to be good
Hey, I know it's not good to look at a screen before sleeping, so I wanna ask - I like to read novels before sleeping, but the thing is that I don't have physical copies, they're all in Kindle or other stuff, would anti bluelight glasses be a good decision to get to counter that?
Not a expert, but it'd be better than nothing + coupled with a nightlight feature on said device (if it's an option) would probably be the best combo. I'd still recommend you probably space it still 30 minutes before seriously trying to sleep.
Yes, I use the nightlight feature already 😄
i have hand pain all the time when i play and i tested so many mices how can i get off from this pains?
If you were describing it to a doctor, you'd call it your scapular region. There are bunch of muscles that attach there, including some of your rotator cuff muscles. But you can also get referred pain there from muscles in your mid/upper back, and also tightness in the upper back muscles can pull on it in a way that creates pain on the lower part of the scapula.
It's really hard to say without knowing more about what you're experiencing. Generally speaking, a lot of esports injuries tend to be tendon-related, and working on muscle endurance can help.
We do have a whole playlist of videos on different kinds of pain and exercises to help prevent them--you can check them out here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcfMAtSMnESfTusR3S0ZH13rwktAK5ZvX
Anti-bluelight glasses aren't the worst idea, but there's some research that suggests the issue is less blue light exposure and more just exposure to mentally-stimulating things like games or videos. The Kindle is also a lot less disruptive than, say, a phone screen or a TV screen.
When ever I make a palm then grab my pinky with my thumb then bend my wrist inward it hurts in the middle of my wrist and down to mid of the forearm could this be due to the median nerve?
how to remove bandage that got stuck to a wound
wtf is this 2023 ppl still don't know how to heal wounds
why there is no bandage not made from textile but from without holes material so that it doesn't get stuck to wound that its healing then u need to remove it and dmg the wound
what is this stupid process
thank you 🙂
@surreal orbit do you mind if I DM you? I have no idea how to start fixing my posture, or where it's bad
Try either spritzing or gently patting it with a saline solution to moisten the bandage
But make sure you wash your hands first, obviously

i submerged my hand into clean warm water until it came off
i just bought special idk like plaster but for bigger wounds
Adhesive Wound Dressings

what type of wound
if u want u can send me a pic in dm and I can tell you how to take care of it appropriately
i took care of it its fine
anyone know how to get faster reaction speed
Im assuming you are referring to in-game?
yes
Have you used an aim trainer?
yes
What are the things it tells you to work on?
my tracking
maybe im thinking its my reaction speed
but im trying to get to a reaction time of 200
Do you have your DPI set properly?
yes its 800
question if i start like going outside and start like exercising will it improve my reaction time
It most certainly can. What is your current experience with exercise?
i mean i used to exercise before the pandemic but i gained some weight because i had nothing to do
Oh ok, the context was to figure out that we need to start back at square 1
yes so should i start exercising for my health and for games
Correct. I would start pretty light. Myself and Dr. Hwu had a seminar on Friday and the VOD will be posted. I would say try to watch that video to get a better understanding of the concepts and from there we can most certainly chat further about it!
thank you
will it be posted here?
It should be, I will be confirming tomorrow if that is alright.
Thank you very much
My pleasure! We want to make sure that things are done properly so that way you are safe and can have a much more enjoyable gaming experience.
hey, is there a reccomended way to add excersising into a daily routine along side gaming and school?
Great question we will have a VOD from our seminar soon. I will be putting a program together.
okay
Where can we see the program if its done ?
question i have been feeling a little bit of weird feeling in my arm when im not doing good in aimlabs and it feels uncomfortable anyone know what it means
Can you describe that a bit more?
That happens when I’m unfamiliar with the scenario or it’s just too hard which is probably a sign that you’re not ready for it
i do it with most scenario that i play on a daily basis it usually happens when i do tracking and moving my arm
the feeling happens when i track bots and moving my arm to track up and down left and right
probably lack of smoothness, which will feel better as ur mouse control improves
do the fundamental routine based on your rank and keep the consistency
relaxing the hand
and watching technique videos
like riddbtw's crash course
over time it will be better
Yall barber fucked up the back of my head what do i do?
damn i messed up we gotta go bald
does anyone know why after i aim train for a while or play 2 much i feel like im sideways in my seat but im sitting str8? (like i feel slanted and it mentally throws off my aim)
time to rest
also is there any fix beside going to the doctor for this one
That one bottom right corner of my back hurts
Hello, It's about wrist stretching, should I static stretch before sleep or after aim training?
I always dynamic stretch before aim training and it helped me a lot, but I don't know when I should static stretch
How do I heal a blister on my thumb? (The part of my thumb that touches the mouse… so it keeps getting pressed in lol)
Should I dump some stuff on it like petroleum jelly or smth or just leave it be?
Would always reccomend getting checked out by a doctor just to rule out internal organ stuff but often times back pain comes from decreased core strength. Check out this article though https://1-hp.org/blog/hpforgamers/sit-like-this-easy-exercises-for-gamers-to-fix-low-back-pain-1hp-exercise-of-the-week/
if you are dynamic stretching you don't need to be static stretching as well!
would reccomend getting a little donut pad like this to offset the pressure on the blister https://www.walmart.com/ip/108-Pieces-Callus-Pads-Soft-Foam-Corn-Cushions-Toe-Foot-Protectors-Thick-Pads-Waterproof-Rubbing-Shoes-Reduce-Heel-Pain/795540442?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=3554&adid=22222222227795540442_3554_145942337685_18606165339&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=652712846062&wl4=aud-1651068664506:pla-1997927411646&wl5=1013587&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=114501607&wl11=online&wl12=795540442_3554&veh=sem&gclid=Cj0KCQjw3JanBhCPARIsAJpXTx7ta7p8mOdp7YT42yW5fp5hjdoAeUxAAE3yANMCyvTX2mKniVzJPz4aAhiLEALw_wcB
got it, thank you!
can this help if when i lay down on my back i have pain there?
Im experiencing an odd feeling in my wrist and fingers when aiming. Struggling to pin down wether it is a grip issue or not. It feels very tight and leads me to shake when trying to make small movements.
Can anyone help me?
i have same issues lol

i've been doing a lot of training on my microadjustments for static, and spent about 5 hours yesterday working on it
but this morning i realised i now have tennis elbow and havent been able to do any kovaaks due to it
i'm a static/target switch main but ive never felt any soreness or pain until today, but i was wondering if theres any way i could reduce the risk of getting it again in the future? and also if there are any excercises/stretches that could help get rid of it entirely too
I have chronic dry eyes any tips to manage it while playing Val and aim training
There's a multitude of reasons that are a bit outside my scope, but at least on the nutrition side there's two major risk factors:
-Hydration: If you're not well hydrated, this increases risk for dry eyes
-Lutein + Zeaxanthin: Found in yellow/orange foods (cantaloupe, corn, carrots, bell peppers, fish, eggs) as well as green leafy veg; diets low in these are at increased risk for nearly all eye conditions, including dry eyes
I'd look to improve those if they aren't in a good place!
Me 2
anyone know why i feel a tingling sensetion when i ever miss a shot and tracking bad like it does not work but it just feels weird
where
and how
if in the wrist you should get a break because ur muscles(ur movement is affected by lots of them) might be a bit tired, worst case (if pain/weakness as well) carpal tunnel
or if in "guts" just might be mental issue and I have no clue about fix/anything besides that
Hydration, eye drops but before them I suggest u checking a doctor since they'll know and if u r in europe, doctor's free
I’m using a fingertip grip on a fk2b, which is about 80 grams and my finger, being 19.5cm long, is 0.5cm longer than it’s highest recommended length of hand. I don’t know if it’s due to the two points about the mouse i just talked about, or my habit of not using too much of my pinky to doing anything in the aiming process, that resulted pain in my ring finger everytime I after playing for about an hour. It turns red and kind of ruins my performance. How should I optimize my grip?
its like the whole arm it' does not hurt i think its mental issue because it only happenes when im doing bad in aimlabs
if its whole arm, I really advise u to check the doctor. The carpal tunnel radiates up to shoulder* and it's symtomps are weakness, tingling, numbness and pain. Wait for a specialist to say something because all I know is a bit about carpal tunnel since I know couple of peoples for a long time that struggles with it and I was thinking I might have it(or it's starting to form or sth) but it was my muscles being fucked
question why does it only happen when i do tracking but it happens like very rarely is it a sign of carpal tunnel
I might say something BS there so don't take it at face value, Not a doctor so I can only give u wikipedia definition (if I even remember it correctly), might be though, if your grip is tight and wrist flexing so it might be
thank you
any advice on wrist pain in long session?
Take more breaks and idk if ur stretching already but yea do that
visit 1hp site to train ur wrist, making it stronger and more endurant will help
the mobilization exercises can help as dynamic stretching too
My hands can't stop shaking since this morning, what should I do?
If u feel the desk is too high u can put a hard pillow or something below u
Did u eat or do something differently lately? Is it only while gaming or always?
I came back from vacation and it happens while I concentrate
Shaking when ur playing or just in general
just when I play
U might be death gripping without knowing it
what is death gripping
Like gripping super hard
Try to be more relaxed, move the mouse smoothly, probably not used to smoothly moving the mouse (smoothness skill) after the vacation
Keep training it will be better
Why do u think its too high?
Numbness and tingling is often a sign of nerve compression. The nerve could be getting compressed either in the wrist, forearm, shoulder or neck. It's hard to say without a more thorough discussion. I'd reccomend doing the free consult. https://1-hp.org/game-without-pain/
I'd look into getting a donut pad like this where you finger is making uncomfortable contact with the mouse, you can cut it to be smaller if needed https://www.walmart.com/ip/108-Pieces-Callus-Pads-Soft-Foam-Corn-Cushions-Toe-Foot-Protectors-Thick-Pads-Waterproof-Rubbing-Shoes-Reduce-Heel-Pain/795540442?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=3554&adid=22222222227795540442_3554_145942337685_18606165339&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=652712846062&wl4=aud-1651068664266:pla-1997927411646&wl5=1013587&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=114501607&wl11=online&wl12=795540442_3554&veh=sem&gclid=Cj0KCQjwi7GnBhDXARIsAFLvH4nWDV8fM_g6uKhtlTVIMcvStf4AvngZP3IhkLsF5EWnEOEwH_owCZkaAo3BEALw_wcB

Depending on where you feel the pain but often times wrist pain is due to overuse and underpreperation and could mean you have tendinities. Check out these guides https://1-hp.org/gaming-wrist-pain/
Does anyone else go to the gym and aim train? I want to use my gym again but whenever I do I notice my arm gets heavier and more sluggish to move
i'm currently on a relatively higher sens, 40cm, and after playing aim labs for around an hour of scenarios that heavily use wrist there becomes a little wrist pain on the right side above the ball on my forearm. should i switch to lower sens to use more arm to aim?
my hand shakes whenever trying to track something, especially in tense situations, what can i do to fix this?
This is likely just the initial couple weeks of getting used to the gym , after a couple weeks of consistent training you shouldn't notice this anymore. And the gym actually has a ton of brain benefits that make you better in the long run.
You should build up the endurance of your wrists! Follow the guide here that matches where your pain is! https://1-hp.org/gaming-wrist-pain/
I would work on some deep breathing exercises. And maybe if you are ingesting a lot of caffeine cut back, seems like you are just getting too keyed up during the match
any tips for finger pain, after using fingertip/claw for such a long time, the pain now is like all the time any exercise i should be doing?
they also started cracking a lot
Any tips for palm pain on the keyboard hand? I use my keyboard at an angle while gaming, which is probably the culprit. But should I try to find a way to extend my arms such that I don’t have to bend my wrist or should i just try to find a position that makes my keyboard hand as straight as possible
any chair recommendations under 150?
depends on where the finger pain is but sounds like early tendonitis which is an overuse and underpreperation issue of the muscles and tendons. I'd follow the guides here https://1-hp.org/gaming-wrist-pain/
depends if the pain is coming from playing or from the pressure of the keyboard on your palm?
i don’t feel any pain while playing. But whenever I try to grip something in a certain way the thumb part of my palm starts to hurt.
@pearl nimbus I would do this routine. https://1-hp.org/thumb-flexor-protocol/
Hey, do you have any advice for cubital tunnel symptoms? I've been having this problem for years now and would have to take many breaks. It seems after those many breaks, the symptoms would come back faster each time I would come back and play. The pain is mainly on the right side of my wrist along with my pinky. At it's worst when moving my hand to the right, my hand shakes/stutters in that direction. Thanks
sometimes while aiming and when im on the target my hand just jitters, its pretty inconsistent but noticable should i talk to my doctor or is it something i can deal with by just doing some wrist exercises?
Oftentimes times the muscles surrounding the cubital tunnel (flexor digitorum longus / brevis) get tight from overuse, especially from long art sessions which compresses the nerve causing the pain. Bracing, rest, ice all have minimal impact on reducing the symptoms associated with nerve compression because they don't address the underlying endurance deficit. Surgery should be a last resort after doing proper conservative treatment. Would be happy to provide you with a free consult to learn more about the source of the pain. https://1-hp.org/game-without-pain/
would definitly try the wrist exercises but will never discourage somebody from talking to their doctor as it could always be a systemic issue
I actually signed up for a consult a couple of hours ago. Does that mean stretching doesn't work for that issue?
Stretching is a great start but only a small part of the treatment for cubital tunnel!
Somebody should be contacting you in the next day
Awesome! Btw, when paying monthly for a plan, are cancellations possible?
in case I no longer have issues
there's a money back guarantee if you're not satisfied but the subscription is a package for the whole year. we sell individual evaluations as well if that's the route you want to go down.
Ok great! The reason I was asking is because on the site it said you could pay for the year plan with monthly payments via paypal
Yup paypal does have that feature! But that ends up essentially being a payment plan between you and paypal we can't stop the payment process after a certain time unless we refund the entire purchase.
Hmm I see, thanks for the info!
shoulder aches when playing static any idea why? i like to think my posture is good when playing i sit upstraight
im getting hand cramp
neither am i deadgripping nor playing too much aim trainers
uuhhhhh
also this is my first time getting a hand cramp in 100 ish hours of aim training
ill try
ty
brb
im still getting that blood flowing feeling in 2 fingers
uhhhhhhhhh time for more stretching
How would you describe your posture when gaming?
I sit with a straight back so sitting straight up ?
Chair is quite high I suppose
So forearm is gliding?? Not resting
It only aches when I’m near the end of a static scenario I guess when flicking/ going faster?
Are your feet resting on the floor/a small platform?
Not fully I rest it on the chair legs sometime
But my toes can touch the floor just not the ball of my feet
Good to know. I would definitely make sure that your feet are resting on the floor or some sort of little platform especially if let’s say you have shorter legs.
Alright thanks I’ll give that a try
Of course.
hey I'm extremely new to aim training and all that fun jazz but i'm noticing my hand and arm begins to get sore when i try to use aimlabs or kovaaks. is that normal? it isnt a sharp pain or anything.
Hello guys, I am in a little disturbing situation, I have shoulder / neck / higher back pain due to playing / being a software developper spending like 10h a day on a computer, do you guys have any tips that made a situation similar to mine better ?
I am aware of my position not being perfect and I try to correct it every now and then when I think about it !
But it feels like whatever I do, the pain won't go away and now it is getting harder to enjoy playing, and concentrate working...
@ me so I can see your replies thank you so much in advance ❤️
u can try fixing ur posture/changing chairs
i also spend 10+ hrs a day on the pc but i hardly get any pain beside my wrist
And yes the pain will not go away immediately
u will have to make a habit of sitting with the right posture
like always
So changing chair is the best way of improving my posture ? I was hoping to fix my health without having to invest in new stuff yet !
A good chair will DEFINITELY help improve your posture or at the very least make it easier for you to sit correctly naturally, though if you wish to do other stuff that doesn't require money I would recommend looking into stretches that target the back/shoulders and possibly core area to help correct that naturally as well. Exercise in general if done right will also help you build a more correct posture. I'm fairly sure the core would be the most beneficial area for posture as that's where most of your support/stability comes from. (Not sure though so a professional can correct me on this).
Also make sure your desk and chair height are consistent and comfortable while your feet are touching the floor and you're not applying a bunch of pressure down when using a mouse etc.
i mean sitting with the right posture and maintain it will be hard at first
Because we will fall back to our old and bad posture,
Id like to think that chairs are means of maintenance device that will help us keep the form
But u can still fix your posture and maintain it without a very good chair tho
Hello ! I have started stretches ! And restarted skateboarding which implies having mobility and core muscles ! So I hope it will get me back on track ! For the desk and chair height I got the 90 degrees rule applied !
@soft ridge @violet swan this is the chair I sit on when I play ! As I understood the way it is designed is not the best for our posture ! What do you think ?
My osteopaths said I could use a Swiss ball / Gym ball every now and then (maybe not daily) to force myself to use core muscles to sit properly !
When you guys say « a good chair » what do you have in mind ?
Thank you very much for the time you are giving me ! ❤️
do you feel any discomfort when u sit in that chair
i dont really see why that chair is bad
You see the edge on the top part are "rounded" so when I sit back in the chair, my back against the top part, my shoulders follow the curve
So if I try to put my shoulders not rounded / bring them backwards, I hit the side of the top part of the chair and since I can't have my shoulders straight
compared to a chair like this for exemple
The edges curving inwards make your shoulders also move inwards which isn't the best for good posture, I have a chair the same way and it makes it very uncomfortable at times.
A good chair is just any good ergonomic style chair worth its weight. Even the one you pictured is more ergonomic than your current one (while definitely not as comfortable).
The biggest thing to look for in whatever chair you're buying is that lumbar support and then making sure you can have your shoulders straight and not compressed :)
Not a professional so may be slightly wrong here but I'm still pretty sure that's what aspects you want from a chair.
@soft ridge Not a professional either but it makes sense ! I just need to find money now ! Gonna struggle a bit as a student lol
Thanks for the advice guys
No problem, and don't stress too much about the chair it'll be fine for now until your situation is better and you have the free money. I genuinely believe just the stretches and exercises will be enough at least short to medium term
how to deal with pain in the palm of the hand while training?
I've been aim training for almost 1 year now and yesterday I decided to use the voltaic routine which is a lot harder and a lot longer than my usual aim training routine and I noticed that after about 30 mins I started to feel like throwing up
If anyone has any tips/ideas on how to avoid this please let me know
Small note the sick feeling was very light
hmm i have soo much tension when I only do static tasks, not even switching makes my arm have that much discomfort
just lots of discomfort
i try to relax my arm and idk it just does not
but it basically affects my static gameplay, cuz i would have to have a 4 min break between plays, I used to try to just play through it thinking I was just bad and i ended up playing a task more then 300 times without any improvement, So i think its some muscle issue/ tightness
im having problems with my thumb. When i hold my mouse for longer gaming sessions it usually hurts. Can anyone help?
dont press down so much
youre applying too much pressure on the thumb imo
Should I take painkillers to maximize the time I can aim train?
this one going in hall of shame
Hey buddy, I need guidance to get cracked mechanics as fast and efficiently as possible, I don't care how long would that take.
I might be braindead, but i'm also dedicated.
cracked tendons more like
In 5 years i'm either dead or the best aimer in the world.
mattyow will kill you within 5 years
Not if I kill him first 😈
Jokes aside, I'm renaming myself on Aimlabs to "CrackedTendons". You will shit bricks after realizing that I'm actually climbing up the ladder.
you will quit within 2 weeks
will climbing make my aim worse
if anything itll make u better
my aim feels worse the day after is there a way to prevent that
rest for longer than a day
you're just tired
anyone know how to help soreness after playing sports like when i woke up today i felt sore because of yesterday
my hand, arm and shoulder feels sore
You could try marine magnesium !
what is that?
I know it helps with the body and muscle system to recover on a daily
thank you imma search it up
Im sorry im french so i dont master english but it is a pill
that you take everyday
no worries its fine and thank you for the info
sorry if this question is very absurd but smoking weed after training and before bed will negatively impact my aim?
well first of all how old are you? Weed affects minors (<22) differently than adults. But 'id imagine it could certainly effect your brains ability to process the training
i am 21
well, thank you so much for the info
thanks for answering anyway. I thought the effects of marijuana would be similar to the effects of depressant drugs over time
Do yall shrug ur shoulders a little when sitting down
I feel like having the shoulders all the way down/relaxed is making me have this shoulder/neck issues that go through my arm and eventually cause tingling on my forearm
Posture tips any1?
I need posture tips aswell I get pain in my shoulder blade when sitting for long periods
I started putting a pillow behind me and when I can rest on that I have no pain
But instant I lean up a little I get pain
What exercises or stretches should I do to help with this
And what’s a good stretching routine to follow between matches and what not
Hey yall, super informal, Im not a medical expert, but I did ask my chiropractor how I should be sitting for gaming. She recommended sitting so that your chair/table height have your arms bent at 90 degrees, shoulders relaxed, elbow hanging off the table, but have your arm mostly on the table, and have your feet be lightly touching the ground with your knees also in a 90 degree angle. It helped me with sitting neck pain/migraines a lot. I dont do that exactly Im a bit more reclined than 90 degrees in my current chair as it doesnt really have a good sitting up straight form, but the rest helped my neck pain a lot.
every 1/2 week i get pain in this two areas, what it can be? i work 8h a day at pc and almost daily gaming for 2-3h. I stretch everytime i can in session
Check this out
this can also be my pain i think
I would highly suggest checking it out then. I hope this helps and points you in the right direction.

Hi!
How long will it take to regain full usage of my right hand after the cast, which has been on for 6 weeks, is removed tomorrow due to a V. Metacarpus bone fracture?
Anyone know m
?
Where is the tension that you are talking about?
I would say wrist mostly but a little bit of forearm
Try this I would say over the next few days and then check back in to see how you are feeling @somber falcon.

anyone know why my mouse hand feels cold and almost numb at times after playing a bit?
Besides somehow cutting off circulation to your hand, I have no idea!
wack
it could. I've felt more alert on days I run early
Try some stretches or run your hand under warm water
Numb, makes me think about tendons. Is ur posture good usually throughout the day?
Especially upper back, neck and shoulders
Youtube “1hp forearm wrist”
Hi i am having problems with aiming after a hard workouts my forearms are stiff af is there a solution ? Or you will eventually get used to it
Are there any mental tricks for separating my mood and self perception from immediate results?
Stretch after workout and then take a break, ur aiming will feel weird if u play after weight training cuz the muscles are exhausted
I dont think there’s instant tricks, its changing ur thinking by realizing that every high level person in literally anything, took a lot of time and hardships to reach that level
Or did i understand the question wrong
If u mean for example getting mad after losing a fight, try slowly overtime to shift ur mindset to outcome independence, having the goal to win but not letting the fear of losing get u stressed, also not putting such high importance on winning ranked games. Basically caring a bit less
Asking urself “what can i do next to try and fix it” instead of staying with the loss in ur head
Basically thinking long term, accepting that losing is a normal thing, and trying to learn from that with positive mindset
Especially with the fact that competitive ranked mmr literally wants u to lose half the time
Its programmed that way
Have something else in your life, so doing badly in aim training/game isn’t the end of the world. Ex: gym, a relationship
been working on it but its not perfect especially on the school chairs i kinda just lean back on the chair the whole time
also just now i was just on my phone and i felt my right pinky and ring finger get that numb web feeling idk
hey guys i currently have wrist tendonitis and am recovering slowly but if anyone has experienced this do you know if i should do exercises or not because my doctor didnt tell me to but ive seen people on youtube showcasing various exercises and such
go to gym
Can anyone please tell me if my wrist should me touching the mouse bad when aiming or not
Resting my palm on the back hunch of my mouse feels better for aiming but is it healthy?
It's fine and healthy :)
definitely common occurrence with tendon issues, not saying its a serious issue, but it needs attention
read on which tendon is responsible for pinky and ring finger (its origins from both end points) and do mobilization, stretching and strengthening, as well as resting a bit from things that aggravate it
the 1hp site is useful (has good info and routines for specific issues)
Does Cortizone impacts my gaming perfomance ? i have crohns disease and i get Humira and Cortizone(Budecol)
ik health is the most important but i want to know : D
ooo sorry for the late response I will start doing it this today
My keyboard hand's ring finger is having tumors time to time for 2-3 days is it normal?
Should I see a doctor
tumor or tremors
Probably overexertion - rest ur mouse hand for 2 days / until u feel better
Stretch and mobilize
And after u come back to gaming do it gradually with mini breaks every now and then
Can this be the reason for wrist pain?
I hold my mouse like this
Hmm.. idk, maybe
Try resting a bit
I mean resting the wrist when playing
Except the resting for now to heal
I'm trying to do the claw while testing my wrist on desk and it's uncomfortable but I think i can do it
My aim is worse too now but i think can stop better now
Doesnt need to be fully anchored to desk yeah? Just touching a bit is enough to feel a change(and for testing)
Yes, I'm making sure my wrist and grip is relaxed.
Did a 1010 in angleshot but wave shot is a little difficult but I can do my average easy still, I think anchoring will also help with static.
Nice, wave shot has diff pattern, just need to play it more
ive heard having your wrist raised is bad for your health, ill try to find the west proter video on it
i can't find the video but basically you are putting a lot of emphasis/pressure on your wrist to do a lot of your range of motion
instead of laying ur wrist flat and being able to glide ur forearm across ur mousepad
which would relieve pressure from ur wrist to your entire arm/forearm
My table is a little higher so that's impossible to do
Nd I don't have pain today in my wrist, i kept my wrist on the desk yesterday whole day, very very uncomfortable and it was hard to grip my mouse but no pain.
Thats good
Try a pillow / hard pillow below u
Hahaha my mom will kill me
U can't put something under your butt which you put under your head in my home 🤣
I'm loving the new grip it's unstable right now but I did a 1000+ in angelshots imma grind this grip out then go to lilac's playlist
Why do i feel my hand or fingers like they are rusty
Like a rust hinge
Do u drink enough water? How’s ur nutrition?
okay, but this is about health, it's really up to u how u want to prioritize your health
finding a solution to something "impossible" is better for longevity
I drink something like a tea like 3 times a day
And i think I am eating well
Tbh i dont think 3 tea cups are enough
But idk if thats the cause
For ur rusty hinge feeling
Is ur posture good usually?
3 half-liter cups of mate cocido (boiled mate) a day. If that's not enough, dang
And I do have a slightly stooped posture, but I've been trying to fix it for months now.
Seems enough then, those are some big cups 😄
Tendons might be a bit irritated
From posture and overuse
Try reducing time from things that aggravate the feeling and adding mobilization routine (few minutes) and trying to fix posture
1hp has good info
Links in pinned comments
My posture is terrible and I get the worst cramps and aches but I just for the life of me just can't fix it
Not like, I just prefer to slouch or it's more comfortable, I just psych myself out. Like idk what "straight" is 😭
Am I sat up straight now? How ab now?
okay I definetly notice It being better for static, but for the wrist focused movements in the routine I get lots of cracking and popping and pulling @lofty edge
Also, I recently underwent scaphoid surgery, or rather was recently cleared by my surgeon from a scaphoid surgery, and haven't aim trained or played FPS games in maybe 6-8 months, was wondering what kind of stretches I could do to help make the area a little more flexible as I start to retrain my aim
It was schapoid debridement, if that's relevant at all, and one problem I have noticed is that I have limited thumb extension
Idk if it's as a cause of the surgery and/or recovery, but the range of motion in my right thumb is probably about 60% of that of my left thumb in extension
Abduction, flexion, and opposition are all perfectly fine and there's no noticeable difference, it's just that really limited range in extension
@open ivy
Do these pills actually work ?
I have been having energy problems and yeah I am losing weight, but idk what else I should do to not lose soo much energy
I’ve been struggling with class and valorant no aim training, my arm is inflamed constantly and my bottom elbow always hurts
any suggestions besides stop
Yo, imma rest it for a few days and maybe a week but could this be anything other than just soreness?
I have what feels like general muscle tightness and soreness at the base of my thumb/ palm. I do stretches when I train and use my hands quite a fair bit (I make sushi as a job and train at the gym 4x a week). I also sometimes get pain in my pinky finger knuckle, but very rarely
Might be overworking that specific tendon, is that only on ur mouse arm?
When u make sushi, do u mainly work with the mouse arm or both kinda equally
Both arms
Im guessing the overall volume + pc usage is what it is
Rest -> mobilization routine -> slowly increasing volume will probably help
That's what I'm thinking too. Alright sounds good, I was gonna do stretches while resting it anyway but I'll add the mobility stuff too!
Ye mainly upper body including mid back up to neck, shoulders arms and fingers, they are all connected in one way or another
Thanks, I appreciate it!
I'm a jack of all trades know wood work so I will just make my table a bit shorter
Thanks for all the help guys!
Why am i always exhausted , i have a good sleep schedule , eat enough , drink enough , barely any caffeine regular exercise
anyone know what part of my mose grip can cause pain in my thumb knuckle region im not gripping my mouse tight
Might be overuse, in that case it needs rest, mobilization, and then strengthening. Posture can make it flare up too, if its bad consistently
For example neck and shoulders
@pallid mural you are truely a blessing u have an answer to all of my questions and everyone elses
fr
i got my arm sleeve last night and its really cool but i just remembered that people use these for medical reasons and i was wondering if its gonna cause any side effects if i wear it for hours while gaming
it supposedly improves bloodflow when exercising but what is that like when im just sitting still gaming
i just dont wanna cause any issues
I've been using one for months and never had any issues. I like it cuz it keeps my pads clean.

Hey you should 100% be working with a hand therapist post surgery so they can be doing the passive range of motion necessary to make sure you don't end up with scar tissue that can permanently limit your function in the thumb and wrist! These are some gentle exercises you can start doing on your own though https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qaZyefgHbo8&ab_channel=1HP
This is a 4-minute physical warm-up for console or controller gamers. The hand and finger exercises in this video help to improve your finger control & wrist stability while you are gaming.
This is a routine you should be doing before you begin any of your mechanical skills warm-up. It can also be used for PC players who have thumb binds - Tha...
@plucky haven
Hey we would need to identify what is causing the inflammation. Likely it's an overuse tendinopathy but it could also be a thing like bursitis. Fill out this form for a free phone consult with a physical therapist. https://1-hp.org/game-without-pain/
Sounds like an endurance issue of the fingers. I'd reccomend following this routine. https://1-hp.org/wrist-extensor-protocol/
this sounds like an overuse injury of multiple tendons in the wrist. Totally fixable but we'd have to identify which ones are actually causing the problems. I'd fill out a free consult to talk to one of our physical therapists https://1-hp.org/game-without-pain/
thanks man!
Calorie deficits and weight loss pretty consistently do cause lack of energy. If your deficit is too extreme you might consider dialing it back a bit. If you have been dieting for too long, you may need a diet break.
Sleep, dehydration, inconsistent caffeine use, sedentary patterns, and inconsistent scheduling can also lead to low energy and should be considered as well.
Regarding the pills, b vitamins will help partially restore some lost energy IF they are correcting for a deficiency. Otherwise they don't do too much.
Ok the diet side, I'd look to make sure you're getting some protein with each meal, and about 25-30g in the morning. You shouldn't be skimping on veg and fruits - subclinical deficiencies can also lead to lack of energy. You can add in some strategic caffeine use if needed for key tasks as well.
On the diet side, poor diet quality could be contributing. However, I would encourage you to potentially get some bloodwork and maybe a sleep study to make sure everything is working properly under the hood! If you dm me I'm happy to run a check on your food intake to see if anything seems off about it.
Yeah I am losing weight
But yeah I lost soo much energy
Thank you very much ❤️
And not to worry, I do have physiotherapy as part of my rehab I was just curious on specific things I can do before aiming
If you're that low energy that it's an active concern, and not even caffeine can help temporarily, you definitely should check in with your doc, shit don't sound healthy at all
As to, "is there any other stuff" - Yes.
Sleep, dehydration, inconsistent caffeine use, sedentary patterns, and inconsistent scheduling can also lead to low energy and should be considered as well.
This stuff
The best solutions often come through lifestyle changes, and not supplements or medication
If all of them are in check and within healthy ranges then perhaps
If you have been dieting for too long, you may need a diet break.
And forgive the abrasive tone for a moment, but, if people go out of their way and spend their time giving you advice that you requested, at least give them the decency of reading their advice, instead of just looking for the advice that you wanted them to give you. You may have wanted them to say "Eat these pills and you're good", but, sometimes that just aint the case
Yeah I have been dieting idk how many calories exactly but just cut alot of food out
Yeah it's a weird thing cuz when I do try to gain a lot I can only sleep 5-6 hours
Or even maintain weight I sleep way less
Probably because you don't need as much sleep
But not that I am losing weight I sleep 8 hours
Yeah that time I do get really tired
Especially from 12-3
When I am at school
But now I am losing weight I have been getting more sleep suddenly I Been feeling so tired
I'm aware of the issues, you stated them 3 times
Okay
Some lifestyle changes have been provided for you to try out to try and fix these problems
I would heavily recommend trying to implement them
If that is unsatisfactory then I would recommend seeing your doctor about it
Oh sleep I do get for hydration I drink lots of water mostly because been having a water drinking urge a lot
I always sleep at 9-10
Sedentary patterns M
It's not about getting a lot of sleep, but having healthy sleep habits
Sleeping 10 hours isn't necesarrily healthy
Yeah
Try your best to ensure that the sleep you are getting is restful, fulfilling sleep, and try not to oversleep
Try to have a regular schedule for your sleep, either when you go to bed or when you wake up, either is fine
And in general try not to sleep over 9 hours, as it can affect your immune system, mental health and a bunch of other bad stuff
How you get good sleep is down to sleep hygeine, which you can find resources for below

God bless Caitlin, she out here doing work
Hope that is helpful, other than that, try and make sure all the other parts of your lifestyle are healthy as outlined by the actual professional earlier, and if you are still finding you have low energy, then as the professional recommended, consider taking a diet break
If you still wish to diet however after that, perhaps consider talking to a dietician/nutritionist before dieting again to make sure you are doing so in a healthy manner
Okay I will read these
But I think you are right that it is my diet then anything else
Cuz overall my schedule and everything has been very similar for a while
Don't credit me, I am just emphasising the points in the original reply from Casey
I am in by no means a professional, simply trying to urge you to listen to the professional that responded
I will dial my diet back a little then.
My current diet is
Breakfest
1cup egg whites
1 cup oat milk
1 cup berries
2 scoops of protein.
Lunch I have
1 cup egg whites
1 cup oat milk
1 cup berries
1 scoop of protein powder. Then I eat some nuts maybe 250 calories of it. After I eat a kiwi and banana at home, Then I eat 4 Oz fish 1 cup carrots 1 cup broccoli and 8 small potatoes.
But recently I have been falling to urges so sometimes drinking another smoothie
That is a very restrictive diet if you are following that every day
Yeah I have been following it for a very long time
Well maybe 1 year but I had the same type of smoothie and dinner for maybe 3 years
I thought it was good tho
It's impossible for me to say honestly I have no idea
Ahh okay
It would depend on what kind of proteins and nuts and berries etc
Oh just usually protein powder
For berries I use mixed and for nuts I also get mixed ones
Like it's all very specific to the exact things you're eating, but in general the best way to fix this is having a varied diet
I meant more, what kind of protein powder
Oh plant based
Oh Damm I will check next time I see the powder
It don't do much else
I think pea protein has a lot of amino acids that you need but
I'd say in general, the takaway is try to have a varied diet
Varied
If you eat the same things every day, no matter what they are you're bound to run into deficinies somewhere or other and it's hard to pinpoint
Okay I will try to vary it
Ahh I thought it was good tbh
But yeah I will try to vary it
Hell maybe it is maybe I'm talking outta my ass
But yeah, try to cut back on the diet a little, give yourself a little room for different types of food
And add some varience into your diet for sure
Changing what kind of fruits you eat for example, changing the grains you eat, definitely have a different meal for lunch than breakfast, that'll allow you to get a lot more types of food in your diet
Even changing the milks you have can help, soy/oat/almond milk will all have different nutritional value
Vary the fish you eat, you can change it for some red/white meats if appropriate for your diet, but if you're pescatarian then even varying the fish can help
Okay I will try these tips changing fruits protein and all that stuff
Having some flaky white fillet of plaice will be far different from a tuna steak, for example
For sure, glad to hear it
And also as mentioned, give yourself some leniency in your diet and dial it back a little just to help you find your footing and give you a little more leeway whilst you regain your energy
But again, just for clarification, I am in by no means a professional or a dietician, so take my advice with a pinch of salt until someone more qualified can verify, clarify or nullify what I've said
Yeah I will add more variety change some meats and sources
Eat a little bit more
Thanks for the help
@Maff thanks for the support with your messages!
Regarding this particular diet - there are several issues I see from the eye test. I can do a detailed analysis for you if you DM on the side, but here's some notes:
-Too little fat: prolonged underconsumption of fat will tank your hormones [you're getting a smidge from your nuts and maybe the fish depending on type, but still very low on the day; try to have at least 1g/kg/d, if you need to pinch calories, try 1g/kg FFM/d]
-Love that you are eating decent ish fruits/veg
-Protein is a bit inadequate and unvaried - it's mostly protein powder (which may also do a number on your gut in the long term), and then a small dose of fish (which is great and probably the highest value protein you can pick, depending on type)
-Calorie split is a bit awkward and may be contributing - you have pretty low kcals in the morning/lunch and then bigger meal in the evening; your body is better able to process foods earlier in the day and this weans as the day goes on, so if you flip flopped this you might notice a change
-Depending on how active/big you are, the total daily calorie amount seems a bit low; you could test a 1x week diet break (just go up to maintenance kcals) and if your energy doesn't come back, then the low energy may be related to some other factors
-If you are only eating those foods, you may be a bit low on iron, potentially anemic, another big low energy contributor
Okay I will take these tips
I can add oats to my smoothies
And maybe I should eat fish right when I get home
I think that may only partially help with a couple of the things I noted (iron, low early kcals), I would definitely take a look at overall daily fat content, especially if you've been at this pattern for a while! It'd help if you got some bloodwork done as well to check under the hood and see if anything is amiss.
Oh no I just started losing weight
I ate way more before
But now I am currently losing weight/trying
But when I was doing a maintaining diet I did have good blood work the doctor told me but yeah. I only been doing this diet for 13 days
So should I eat more nuts
I eat 260
Idk what I should do about the fruits tho
But I thought that was enough protein cuz it's 140 grams for 130 pound person
Unvaried is true but I don't know how to vary it without basically eating above maintainence
Lol this is too complicated for me
I will try to find someone to make a diet for Me
For the fats, you could swap your egg whites for whole eggs, keep eating your nuts, make sure the fish you eat is fatty. Maybe work in some avocados.
For the protein, if you are hitting 140g that is definitely enough! Different protein powders have varying content so wasn't sure. That being said, the amino acid profile could be off due to most of it coming from powders.
Figuring out what to eat to be optimal is more confusing and challenging than it should be. There's a lot of misinformation out there. Happy to continue to do what I can to help. Feel free to DM me!
Okay switching to whole eggs I will try
