Different fabric, otsu is faster but apparently doesn’t have a lot less stopping power (like the hien does vs the zero) and assuming the fabric is similar to the hien (which evidence seems to indicate) it should last longer (hiens are supposed to last for very long assuming you clean them well)

I have both, although my Hayate is the Kou. Hayate is stiffer, more rubberized/plastic texture making it feeler slicker for a cloth pad. Obviously Hayate is faster and less stopping power, although still nice feeling. Zero is much more coarse. Hayate is less symmetrical stitching, though the Kou has very asymmetrical stitching which is my least favorite thing about it. The edge stiching is much thicker wider on the Zero. Both are pretty consistent and have little humidity issues. Both the same size. Hayate's rubber base is grippier, at least for me. I say the Zero is superior overall.
