having intermediate scopes is the same concept
except you dont have to go through the extra, meaningless steps.
the perceived advantage of intermediate scopes is negligible when you consider the fact that 99% of players can comfortably use acog while being barrel stuffed
at the end of the day, more options, variety, etc is good for casuals and has the potential to add more depth to comp
or the effects will be entirely unnoticeable, which is realistically what will happen
