Ty for the reply, I do both of those things quite a lot and I have played the game since launch week I just feel like recently I've been losing a lot of fights I shouldn't have bc of what I explained, most of my issue is with knowledge of drones and or a shaiiko peak so maybe it's a little bit of visibility issues and something else.

Talking from my personal experience, but as long as your crosshair placement is on point, you should be fine. Of course there will be times when people are not in default positions, but if you are swinging without intel, you have to take some risks (by risks I mean leaving some spots unchecked, so you have a higher chance of killing people in the spots you checked).
And yes, sometimes uniforms might be hard to see, but you cant really do anything about that, so I'd advise you to focus on ch placement and smoothnes so you can clear angles better

That is actually quite the disparity. Normally your visual rank is somewhat close to your actual hidden mmr, and you start around gold with it. But to have a hidden mmr of around gold and a visual rank of emerald you would need to be really lucky and grind it out hard lmao. Maybe they did queue with one or more people who were way lower ranked?

Really doesn't matter. Most aim training is not specific situations that happen in game (excep for stuff like shooting c4 that gets thrown at you or those rail shooter scenarios). It is about how you control your mouse instead, and if you train the basic fundamentals, you will get better at that. You can focus on more game relevant mouse control skills by playing the Valorant benchmarks and you might want to supplement your training with some scenarios that are bigger but faster, since most of Siege's combat has you fighting close range against fast strafing enemies
Just do the benchmarks, look what areas you struggle with (if you mostly played tac fps games before, your rank will probably be quite low, don't be discouraged), then come back and ask for specific scenarios or train with something like VDIM
You can also emulate the claustophobic aspect of using higher scopes by reducing your fov in the settings

You can, but you don't need to. Why? Because again, you are learning to control your mouse and improve hand eye coordination. You don't learn specific flicking distances relating to specific mouse distances. It generally is advised to actually play with a faster sens/lower cm/360 because it forces you to put the effort into control. And if you can control it, you should also do fine with higher cm/360. Just find one where you can both use your arms to flick and wrist to micro adjust and train with that.
The exception would be if you have a very aggressive style where you are out of ads for most of the game and just aim in as you flick, for that you might need to find something for complex to train with

Yeah that's what I did, I'm emulating the fov and sens of ADS in siege since that's what I want to focus at, so for now I'll stick to that cause like everything I'll probably get a big boost if I start aim training now and after a while when I start improving less I'll change the sens around to target different muscles and probably start broadening my playlists for more specific exercises 🤔

Won’t lie siege is in the best state balance wise rn than it’s ever been, and I don’t wanna insult ur experience too much because you clearly enjoyed it but that era of siege you say is peak was lowkey trash and full of awful mechanics like lean spamming and dolphin diving. Chimera for example had an awful meta that rendered defending impossible and forced you to play one way or you lost
Right now the maps are very balanced imo, even outback isn’t awful to play. The operators themselves are very diverse on attack and defense from my experiences in ranked and teams are able to have strategic and run and gun strategies in a balanced mix or as balanced as they have ever been at least

And while some decisions are dumb, generally the team does have write ups on why they make decisions, which is better communication then most developers. well, the fact that most unanimously reccommend stuff like the HD800s for competitive gaming if asked does stem from the fact they assume soundstage is beneficial
and sure, in terms of being able to spot the precise direction of sound it might help but when playing competitive shooters you don't need to be able to tell precisely since you can rely on map knowledge and interpret that audio
so what ends up mattering is isolation and a frequency response that helps hear footsteps (or at least a headphone that responds well enough to EQing to achieve said FR)
