r6 does run better on amd cards vs nvidia (same tier-wise, as in 6800 XT vs 3080), you can drop everything to low except shadows (medium for player shadows) and run 25% render scale

lower settings -> simpler textures -> easier to see targets as they should be more uniform

higher settings -> more elaborate textures -> easier to see targets as they don't blend in as much

honestly, I just tried those settings since someone told me those were spoit's and decided to give it a try

they maximize performance at least

The new system works COMPLETELY different than before. So just forget about the ranks as you know it!

In some words:
Rank you see is just a label, doesnt define your skill. Your actual skill-value is hidden, you dont see it. You get matched against players in your (invisible) skill-level and NOT by your shown rank!

So, you might be copper V but have the skill of Dia, so you get matched against Dia. Well, not exactly, it depends what your teammates are, but atleast it will be more or less in this skill area.

The rank you can see, is just a grind at this point, as long as you win more than losing and play alot, you will make it to Champion eventually...

No, pc/console has no crossplay.

Only pc/stadia with mouse input and PS/xbox/stadia with controller afaik

R6 has no aimassist on console, so controller-players would getrekt against PC most of the time. Wouldnt be fair for the majority of players.

R6 hasnt changed its Ranked system at all. The "Hidden skill level" is just the old MMR that previously defined the ranks. Now they just hide it and make the ranks grindable for basically everyone.

I dont think they are able (or willing) to invent a completely new "algorithm" that in some magical and mysterious way determines your skill level. Thats also the reason why they make a secret out of it.

Matchmaking is EXACTLY the same as ever, just the diplayed ranks changed.

yes, i have an older Zowe esports monitor with motion blur reduction. Image gets darker quite a bit, but you wont notice, just adjust ingame-brightness and look up the calibrated color values. I wont play withanything else than moion blur on.

Next monitor will be a Zowie again, very happy with it, for "comp" games.

I guess servers are shite. I was complaining bout the same yesterday 🤣 was loosing against ghosts, no enemy in the frame before i died, multiple times. Pings in lobbies are often around 100 now…

Copper isnt copper anymore. Copper rank displayed could mean you play against plat and above. Depends on your „skill level“, which is the old mmr working in the background.

the reality is you're still getting the same games you had by the end of last season for the most part

the only real change is that RP is given out based on how far your RP and MMR are from each other instead of based on how good or bad your enemies were

so you'll get the same RP if you played a match that would've been a +25 last season or if you played one that would've been a +100 as long as you're far enough from your last season's rank
