controller has aim assist which is pretty insane when you really master it. Lots of preds and masters players on controller so it's possible to compete at the highest levels on either MNK or Controller. The tradeoff is leading targets at distance is much harder as the aim assist does not really help with that. You are most effective at specific ranges on controller. Menuing is more difficult and you cant tap strafe.
Overall the skill ceiling is higher on MNK and imo game feels much better. If you played the game previously on controller and were good then stick with that, if you are just starting than go with MNK
