you aim and shoot while aiming down sights in game, so it would make sense to use same sensitivity on kovaaks, the only gun i hipfire in apex is the pk and some other guns if im up close, but 90% of my fights are in ads range

I think you are overthinking it, yes your ads sens isnt The same as your hipfire kovaak sens, but neither is the fov. Kovaaks is just to Get good mousecontrol and you should be able play with any sens, not to get 1on1 ratios ingame

Currently ranked games for me will be like "Find other 2 guys(with good coms) on LFG discord (who dont care about rank and who have enough people with 30/40k kills on character on pubs) and later on enjoy "pushing everything thats moving" on low ranked games and start destroying fun other people from being killed by us... - it shouldn't works in that way but for many people who just dont enjoy sit down and wait 15min for fight ranked will start looking like that ( who dont care about rank and dont have time to climb 8/9k points for at least diamond (when each game is 15min of "playing passive") ) But we will see how it will looks like 🙂

Anyone have advice for 1v1 vs good controller player? The IGL for my squad is on roller and I can't beat him in firing range 1v1 lol. Don't get me wrong, he's a cracked player, it's not just the roller but fighting him feels weird and different to 1v1 vs the other m&k player in the squad who is also very good.

@wintry cypress Totally relate, the movement is weird. It's like he stops for a little bit before changing strafe direction and it's hella confusing. His strafe is also very asymmetrical compared to m&k teammate. He also just doesn't miss much. Only way to win is to get the first big beam or wingman heady then ape fast.

@charred plank Oh wow, that is indeed a very small and very fast strafe. Much smaller and faster than I even imagined originally. I've actually come across opponents strafing like this and it's pretty annoying to deal with on a mouse as well 🧐

Really didn't mean to start up the old roller vs mouse thing again... I simply got my ass kicked 1v1 in range against my squads IGL (he plays roller) and was looking for counters to roller. I also specifically said it's not just the aim assist and that he is a very good player. He himself acknowledged the power of AA in some contexts and the point of all my posting was just to ask if anyone had advice for countering good controller players within certain ranges as the whole point of the 1v1 in range is for me to practice against roller up close... blah blah blah very boring case closed the end

I mean, ping is only one part of the equation. Jitter, packet loss, enemy player ping, etc all contribute on top of the tickrate which we already know is poor, and contributes to the issue of high ping advantages.
