i could improve on everything thats why ive been doing whole fundamentals playlist, probably mouse control though most important

thats why i lowered to 1.1 in game but kept 1.5 in kovaak so it is harder mouse control in kovaak

but maybe lowering in apex was a mistake

i only really lowered it to get more mouse control right off the switch

How do you evaluate your gameplay? what rank or stats do you have and how do you like to play? the game can be pretty flick heavy in cqc and then have higher tracking demands at longer distances

i am diamond 4 ab to be dia 3, not sure how to evaluate gameplay too much but i have my most recent voltaic benchmarks from 6 days ago

playstyle is definitley medium-close range cqc

i feel like maybe i would be a little bit more of a consistent aimer if i just played on 1.5 on apex since i kovaak train on 1.5 for fastest noticeable improvement in ranked

The simplest answer is what works for you. Beyond that it’s tough for an outside party to determine what is best. However, gameplay can help somewhat in showing effects of different sens.

at high sens you just have to be really relaxed, keep your mouse constantly centered and focus on making very small movements. If you come from like 47 cm or 55 cm from cs/val then you're instinct is always going to be wrong for a while. Takes a good 10-20 days to fully adjust. I would just keep your kovaak and in game sens and fov the same.

cqc is more comfortable yes and I love how the movement feels at 24cm and 110fov, it's so smooth to play. Looting is a breeze. The game is more 'relaxed' at a higher sensitivity for me.

Lots of incredible aimers play around 24-28 cm/360, both in apex and other games. In fact lots of quake pros play at this speed and to be honest apex reminds me of quake in many respects. Not quite as fast but there is a lot of mobility and verticality and crazy situations that require lots from the mouse arm

For me, on higher sens I also prefer a slightly heavier mouse and more of a control setup.

So 72 gram mouse is nice for me around there and zowie gsr pad

I play CSGO ESEA rank A at around your current settings and in valorant I made it to immortal on like 60 cm/360. TBH I think those are way too slow to comfortably handle everything apex throws at you. Playing apex at like 60cm my shoulder is on fire lmao.

Also one last note, I remembered one more thing. I wanted to switch down from 1.5 to 1.1 in apex because of shaky mouse control, but also because of what i thought is precision for instance missing lots of peacekeeper shots up close and i guess staticy targets long range

however, my tracking going from 34cm (1.5) down to 47cm (1.1) my tracking takes a substantial hit, especially on a reactivity stand point when enemies start strafing

so in all, I sacrificed tracking & quicker reactivity in exchange for hopefully more easy mouse control, better precision, and more arm aiming since I've heard its more consistent?!

first clip 1) at :12 look at crosshair position, you are looking at a wall instead of pre-aiming corner or a place enemy is likely to be meaning you have to flick and wait to fire. 2) you have no stock or barrel mod which means you are fighting the horizontal and vertical recoil on the r301 which is difficult enough. If you want to get better at managing that recoil go into range and practice spray control with no barrel mod or stock.

second clip, you are firing before you are ready, sometimes slowing down a little bit makes all the difference. You are trying to fire the peacekeeper as fast as possible before getting your shot centered. Just play calm and take your time, hitting 1 shot is better than missing 2.

Since you have a lower fov when you zoom in doesn't that affect your aim training/aim, cause when I aim train on aimlab you use your hipfire sens, and not ADS.

Yeah I'd say average is probably around Diamond. Apex high level is so much more about rotations, timings, positioning, playing off each other, comms, composition and abilities, etc.

Look for the mechanical gods for higher aim, but the top tier of apex pros are likely dia-jade, and average pro is gold/plat, the game is much more about strafe aim and positioning than raw aim, though it does require good precision

Same thing happened when they put Alternator in care package, it just increased the amount of RE45s and P2020s I was dropping on early.

So now your light options will be P2020, shitty R99 (RE45), shitty CAR (R99), and Alternator, so a lot of guns with more or less the same functionality and utility but just weaker versions of each other.

With Flatty and Spitfire both being ground loot again, it's definitely going to be Heavy ammo meta.

i was thinking about high sens in apex and i realised you can pretty much "ignore" arc star slowing effect if you play high sens + large mousepad

if your mousepad is big enough and your sens is high enough then you can just swipe further to ignore it

but you have to pretty high to what would be considered abnormal for apex

i could make a 180 on 3200 edpi quite easily while slowed

skittlecakes plays higher than that IIRC too, lol

i'm wondering if high sens is better for anything else too like armour swaps but idk

buuut i noticed skittle isn't playing high sens to avoid arc star slows because he plays on a small qck

You don't need DPI for swaps, you can just adjust the windows cursor speed to do that.

Yeah, menu is the only time your mouse isn't raw input. When people were adjusting their DPIs around the time people saw "improvement" in increasing their DPI but wanted the same menu speed they just adjusted the cursor speed to get it closer to the original feel.

My personal opinion is that it also isn't really worth increasing your overall sensitivity for a fringe situation though. Like there's nothing wrong in having a higher sens if that's what works for you, but changing it just for one reason seems like it isn't worthwhile.
