A good strat is just
Kill a squad early (2-3 easy kp if you win) -> chill out and rotate and try to avoid fights unless it’s absolutely free or necessary -> get rest of kp from the end game

so the second we make contact i start circling to the left or the right and shoot at them from a different angle and get close but ready to bail if 2 people push me
i guess the hardest thing so far is knowing when to push, i try to make it a rule to go in if 2 or more get cracked or all 3 took like 60-70 damage, but instead of playing to kill them i should get as close as i can to set up a flank and wait for my team instead
because the are usually healed up by the time i get over there, i find i push after cracking 2, i peek them to finish them off but im the first person there so its 1v3
or 1v2 and i either die or take a lot of damage and now my team has to fight 2v3 as i bail

ping ≠ lag. i play dallas servers from australia and get 220 ping. that means that the average human can react to me peeking before i can even see them. on the contrary, someone could be playing on 7 ping with mcdonalds wifi and enough EM sound to literally be audible and have 30 packet loss. basically, ping ≠ packet loss. packet loss and an unstable connection causes teleporting. ping and a stable, wired connection results in the player being 200 milliseconds behind everyone else
apex handles ping well. i shouldnt have to track in front of the target just to play on higher ping. also, the number of times i have died because my hit doesnt register before i get downed due to my enemy having 200 more ms to live than me is so high that a compilation of them would be classified in the sublime genre because it captures the infinite

Yes, but everything that comes into the equation can't even be measured by any one aspect. However, it all still stems from the design philosophy at Respawn where they don't want to improve the gameplay loop because they want "everyone" to be happy.

i agree and disagree. i agree with the statement about their design philosophy; i dont agree with the statement about how they handle ping. if they really wanted to make things "fair" in terms of ping (not actually fair; just respawn's definition of fair), they would give me x more milliseconds to shoot and damage enemies before i go down because i am delayed by x milliseconds and on my screen, i would be hitting them for those milliseconds, despite being down according to the servers. they shouldnt, however, just that would be an example of an unfair "fair" management of high ping

you dont get any more ping because youre playing someone on high ping. someone on if im on 0ms ping and youre on 10000ms (10 seconds) ping, you will appear on my screen 10 seconds before i appear on yours. my ping can only give you an advantage. there are sydney servers i can play on, but that gives me a 15 minute queue.
im dont want to try to explain this any more. here you go. hopefully this explains it

And yes, if a player has a high ping with client based detection, then their ping adds to the entire communication between the server and two clients.
That's part of the reason getting shot around cover is exacerbated in low tickrate games.
