ive been running hipfire Havoc (no attachments most of the time) as my go to close range weapon, its been pretty successful because the ammo clip, damage and relatively slow rof ensure that you kill them in 1 clip, is this a crutch weapon or am i better of using a car or something

havoc is definitely not a crutch weapon, but the better enemies you get the more likely you are to get blasted by someone using a car

however, using havoc primarily for close range is not optimal at all

Hot dropping is knowing what has better odds, but also where everyone else is dropping so you know where to rotate next in case you get shafted. That's why randoms often fuck their teams over because they clump up and fight each other for loot.
