For me, a clip isn't just my own execution but also the variables surrounding it. Did the enemy catch me off guard, did I require good movement to avoid taking fire, were there multiple enemies forcing me to use cover better, etc.
But that also entirely depends on your level and what you can appreciate. I ask more out of myself because I know what I'm capable of doing, so a clean beam just isn't impressive enough for me to want to showcase.
