Well from what I understand shotgun aim is like 90% crosshair placement and then you just do a micro flick so maybe train your micros. Unless they catch you off guard but then you just do a normal flick. You also have to lead your shots a bit, especially if they're further away. Or at least thats what I would practice
But there are wayy better aimers here than me so correct me if I'm wrong
Also I'm pretty sure I sent in a few aimlab scenarios for this someone asked but its basically just small flicks

they could but they would need to change the code. a lot of games have a layer between input and game mechanics where say spacebar is assigned to TryJump(), then TryJump will check things like what state are you in, for apex: on ground, in air, in trident, zipline, climbing, etc. then do functionality based on that so usually in air would be no jump but for ash it would try to dash.
Assuming its all set up how i assume, and i was right about zipline superjumps so it probably is,
making it an ability would mean theyd need to make functionality for a 3rd ability on that input level, i cant think of anyone that has 3 separate things they can do, ballistics sling is the only thing i can think of but ive never played him, idk if its a aeparate keypress. Throwing it in jump is the way faster way to implement it and it would just work with the netcode, it also just makes the most sense initially if they only want you to be able to use it in the air.

, theyve done this before, its directly related to how important placement is vs elims. i hope they get rid of the forced drop spots because every match feels the same now. They removed the biggest variable: where people can be, so everything is completely normalized. Some spots are just so fuckin bad too, and all the fights happen between pois now or on the outskirts, whats the point of the huge cool poi with interesting cover layouts with this system.

bruh every game the first rotation is the same for each poi, especially ones on the edge of the map. You loot, you go towards ring, you see adjacent squad across the open field, you have some dumb ass poke battle till someone gets impatient and gets knocked trying to force something. Or youre forced to run to a poi that has crazy high ground or loop around a way that takes 5x longer, and the squad at said poi knows this so they hold it. The early decisions become so simplified because everyone knows the state of the game. Its way more interesting when another squad is contesting your drop spot, and the state of the rest of the map is somewhat unknown.

in the past 2 years respawn has fenced in the action windows of the game so that you have less to capitalize on at longer ranges, support and controller buffs. And less room to outplay at disadvantage close range, assault buffs, skirmisher, ash ult and dash, ballistic q, etc. Poking is insanely drawn out and annoying now, but in cqc one squad snowballs with abilities and movespeed and passives. The whole game is so setup and flowchart based now it makes me sad. 😔
