ngl i prefer concistent mid placement + high kp games over trying to play "smart" its way more fun and we barely ever had a -65 loss often times more like -20 if it was a early death

Main issue for climbing fast is the current system is very placement heavy with the kp soft cap. IIRC 15 kp at 8th is +150 ish but 3rd place and 8kp is +200
