well if i compare my fresh key 83 mid to my slightly used hien mid
it realy depends on the orientation due to the key 83 having a realy smooth y axis wich i precive as faster especially regarding static friction (micro corrections out of a stand still mouse)
so if u rotate a key 83 90 degrees for me it turns into a better hien due to smootger texture and easier micro corrections

as you can see the weave isnt fully unidirectional and for what ever reason my skates have less static friction in the other axies of those lines you see so left right
