Xdefiant was such a miss. They had like a year worth of input and let the biggest issues remain unchanged for launch.

It's a shame because the core stuff felt OK but the desync and certain abilities needed to be dealt with before they released it. Definitely feels like a game that had no real direction until the last two years of dev time given the early play tests.

i feel like it would be challenging to consistently land the silence tho if the NC or lifeline is playing separate from the knock

if you wait for them to go to the knock they'll press E before you silence

on paper it sounds strong but he seems really high risk since if the silence doesn't go off he's basically useless

part of why he was super reliable before was that he had utility against already knocked players specifically since they aren't able to reposition to get away from focus of attention

and even if you silence the newcastle, you also have to silence the lifeline or the gibby

or the other support will just stick instead

i think i can see situations where running seer feels really good, and situations where it just does nothing at all
