Their PC can def handle 8k polling. Apex usually stutters/has other issues above 2k polling though. It's not everybody's rig, but you kinda just gotta play the PC lottery even if it's a monster to get above 2k polling

There was a similar issue a while back with rollers and overclocking them specifically for Apex(unsure if those issues still exist or not)

It doesn't probably help either that Apex is on 20t servers still, so a lot of things probably get stuffed down that terrible bottleneck

DX12 fixes some people's issues. And even then, it's spotty on what it may or may not fix. This game is very unstable and may not run 1 - 1 on PC's with the exact same specs

fps arent that much impacted by os optimizations but 1%fps lows, stutters and latency are greatly improved

Default PS4/5 rollers are 250hz polling rate and 11ms input delay. With overclocking you can bring those numbers up to 1000hz polling and 1ms of delay. Official xbox controllers you can't overclock(other than sometimes going from 7ms to 5ms), but 3rd party ones are similar to PS controllers iirc(been a while, so info might be slightly off)

It's minimal gains tbh. Sometimes you can notice less aim assist breaks above 190(which were mostly fixed a while ago), but other than that it's mostly just a mental boost unless you're like a top 1%+ player

making the characters that don't have target access stronger makes more reasons not to pick the characters with burst options

i'm glad they're making these more vulnerable and stubby characters beefy and hard to displace

and strong when it comes to warding off incomplete pushes

this increases the skill gap for mobility characters by making them work harder to abuse their target access to close and finish fights

the meta is good when mobility characters are slightly under tuned on WR; it means that their high skill floor is working correctly
