The numbers I said aren't end all be alls, but I think it also depends on what level of the game you want to play. Wattson has some of the most insane game sense already as you said, so it makes sense why he would say that

If aim was the end all be all factor we'd probably be in a 100% controller meta instead of 70-80%(look at dead af hyperscape). You can have demon level aim in this game, but if you're stuck in-between 3 teams that all want your spot you're usually pretty toast(or having to rotate edge into 3+ teams through the open). Last split I held Apex Predator 100% Solo Queue. I am one of the only people to ever do this on PC. Here's my advice:

The game starts as soon as the queue pops. Do NOT afk character select and or the drop ship. Politely ask your teammates for jump master and DO NOT land on 2+

Depends on your goals tbh. Generally I'd say no, and just play MnK on other games until you get really good/comfortable at it. Controller is still overall stronger than MnK right now and switching now could lead to a lot of frustration if you aren't ready

I would definitely recommend using DX12, for most people it'll up your overall FPS/Frametime average, but if you're on 1080p or lower you should definitely be getting a higher frame rate if your monitor allows for it. It's definitely settings/optimizations if that's the case(apex is kinda picky).
