The only benefit is if you plan to buy out a collection event in the future. If you get 4 'Premium' Battlepasses for 40$ you are short 2300 coins for an heirloom in a collection event. Meaning you can get heirloom in 4 Passes + 20$ or 5-6 Passes depending on your currency leftovers. Which is 100$ cheaper then buying the event directly.

But yeah at the end you are paying upfront for the chance for a cool event so probably still not worth it.
