Are you guys familiar with CRU? My monitor has 165 hz refreshrate. I used CRU to get stretch res. Once I went from native to 1920x1080 to 1728x1080 my refresh rate went to 120 fps. My monitor has setting where it shows refresh rate on yellow color on top of screen when I am in like Google chrome window it shows 165 hz but once I open Apex the yellow color changes to 144?

I wonder why?
I have used Nividia control panel to do it before and didn’t lose fps but CRU is more accurate or something.

I am happy with 144 too but the in game performance thingy shows it fluctuating like 130 140 120. But it’s mostly 143 144 150 165 120

Does anyone know if Apex uses some kind of monitor coefficient setting in config files? Or maybe the FOV scale is affecting the feel? I normally play at 35cm/360 in all games, but in apex it feels like 27cm/360 feels like 35, and 35cm/360 actually feels like 40+ in apex.

Question friends, When doing smooth scenarios i find my aim is shaky on slow movements. Should i focus more on being smooth or more staying on target? I get far better scores when staying on target (I know score isnt everything) but im worried im enforcing my bad habit.

Ok, so what might help is raising your sensitivity a bit and practicing with that. That's not because you are lagging behind, but because it will make the shakiness more apparent and you can focus more on smoothing it out.

If you are on, say, 40cm, play at 30-35 and that'll help train smoothness a bit better.

If you watch replay from top players, like Matty, you'll see they do a small, quick flick-like movement to get to center of target before tracking smoothly again. It's not quite a flick but that technique will help with the issue of you trailing behind

So use that motion to get on target, then focus on smoothly tracking by matching velocity as best you can

It's not quite a flick, more of a microadjust. You just want to make sure you don't overcorrect and end up ping-ponging back and forth. Unlike a flick, you don't want any tension in it at all, since it'll usually be too short of a distance for a real flick. It does look like a flick when you watch matty or other aimers, though.

Judging from this it seems you lack smoothness, idk if u do any aimtraining or what your sens is, but first thing id recommend atm is just focusing on making smooth and straight tracking using your arm etc both in kovaaks and LTM modes or even in the firing range
