yea the thing about roller is you'll never out aim them

it's literally just not possible on raw input

but you can make yourself consistent and then focus on your positioning and decision making and beat them like that

and don't try to rely on movement, either. Cus aa is the counter to movement techs.

one thing that really helps in cqc though, if you can circle around the 4-3 bots. Like literally just do a full circle around them and go in one direction

if you adad or change direction they can track it perfeclty, won't miss a shot

but if you get in their face and strafe in the same direction in a circle around them they can't keep up if you are close enough

not that I'm telling you to intentionally get in their face ofc cus they are rollers, just if you find yourself in that situation

It's worth learning 100%. Absolutely.

But just understand that using it isn't going to make a controller player who has a bead on you start missing

it's very useful in certain situations to get to/behind cover or to maneuver and make yourself hard to keep track of, but in the end shiv has the best playstyle against controllers in that he doesn't use fancy movement and focuses on FPS fundamentals and positioning

fancy zipline tricks and fancy movetechs are great for pubstomping but generally won't help against good players, especially not on controller

damn. There's a couple of clips I really wish I saved in the past to post anytime this discussion comes up 😦

Youre stacking the momentum of a ground jump and a zipjump when you do it, so if your ground jump is fatigued you dont go as high

jitter aiming uses recoil smoothing, that's why it works

the tl;dr is if you are smoothly turning your camera over a certain threshold, you just don't have recoil

since controllers are using sticks, it applies a constant velocity, which means recoil smoothing is active at all times if they are holding the stick stationary at any non-neutral position

for mnk, you have to learn to smoothly track the target, if you do small flicks instead of a smooth track you will have recoil

I would recommend focusing on counterstrafing and smooth tracking until you can see it in action, and learn how/when to use it

it's not hard to do once you know to do it, if you have relatively smooth aim

Mine likes to fuck up when I cap over it, takes a few mins in the firing range to smooth out, then game is good

It takes like 1 or 2 mins at 144fps with horrible stuttering, then smoothes out, then after 2 ish hours of playing usually it starts to stutter like a maniac

Try toggling on and off the Nvidia reflex thing, might get it to reset itself

I've been getting some weird stutters after update, not sure what's causing it yet

Make sure your texture streaming is like half of what your card has, that's helped in the past

Making sure reflex isn't on +boost has stopped stutters in the past

Sometimes when you tab in and out, reflex fucks up, and reflex does have something to do with frame processing and refreshing, so it can in some cases

Reflex replaced the old “Low latency” mode in the gpu settings, which did something with frame times and such I can’t remember the exact specifics
