Yeah the downfall isn't really the addition or change of anything as much as it's just been the same stale experience with the same massively glaring issues that never get addressed and people are finally burning out (and more options are available).
The game won't ever really "die" in the traditional sense as much as all the content creators and competitive players will spend considerably less/no time with the game. The average controller player with an extra five bucks in their pocket is still convinced it's "the best BR ever" so until something gets their attention otherwise it'll stay afloat and make money.

And I didn't say anything about what caused it. Just there's a correlation. Release of class system (only major change in S16) -> Player base declines by ~65% over the next year, after 3 years of continuous growth prior.
I'm not stating an opinion or anything with this either. The game has lost roughly 65% of it's average and peak players since they released s16, and when I look at the patch notes I don't see anything I consider to be major changes other than the class system. S16 ranked had slight adjustments to S15 (not s17 for sure), there were some minor bug patches, and some other small tweaks to map rotations and such. There weren't any competing games released that would lead to an extended decline, there's not been any major other changes that boosted the decline (although the rev rework seemed to turn it around for a short while). The only correlation I see is that they released the s16 patch, and the game started to fall off.

in apex, good positioning and being able to 1v3 means you'll climb. in this games ranked mode, you really need to be able to 1v6 or you can just get bullied off cashouts

how do you guys practice 110 fov? I'm mid diamond on 90 fov, but on 110 I'm getting way worse scores, usually in plat or lower for some scen. Not sure if I should just keep doing what I'm doing, or if there's a playlist or something to get more used to 110 fov, it sucks having aim that's 10-15% worse due to the fov change
