Because the steal takes a good amount of time to interact, so you need extremely good timing. Plus a third team in the mix can really throw wrenches into shit.
If you play passively waiting for the other team to do something and they're not impactful, then you aren't necessarily guaranteed to make a move. Plus medium class revive is fast enough to reset defensively.
Also some areas are very much detached and force you to be in proximity if you want to even attempt moving in later.
There's some deposit areas that either move or have a lot of height.

The missing bit would be how people are understating how effective that close range is. Like this isn't someone with experience with the input and they're still getting insanely good close range exchanges with no effort. But as you can see from the comments people are just focusing on "see he said it's bad at range M&K better!"
It also should go into how to make the input better so it wouldn't feel clunky, ways to improve the design instead of requiring that kind of assist (though we know capitalism is entirely the reason it exists in this modern form)
