I'd say it's less skill ceiling and more just less allocated resources allowing you to focus better. In actuality roller is still a lower skill ceiling because it inherently raises the skill floor and reduces fatigue.
In professional play it's often who makes less critical mistakes, and when everyone becomes considerably more consistent because of controller those differences feel more critical because how infrequently they occur.

It's definitely better to err on the side of under than over, because smoother mouse movement makes it easier to read the target. If someone is spamming short strafes and you're overcompensating you can quickly get into the habit of blurring your vision having to try to flick back and forth onto target and lose sight of them.

yeah the download was borked and was missing audio files so the game wouldnt load, then there was the bug where you would get stuck on the "click to continue" page forever, on top of that the game would hard crash anytime the server you were on was rebooted
was a bit of a mess but it is a mod afterall so we cant expect it to be flawless, unlike those creatures on the R5 disc who where crying and complaining about it not working
