Something I definitely noticed, I don't know what the major contributing factor is but it's crazy how different modern FPS players will play shit like TDM.

Part of it is a larger, more casual playerbase, but it also seems like no matter the style of shooter or game of choice it's prevalent.

Maybe I'm a boomer, but I never understood why head cameras also being the origin of the shots is still the primary design for FPS. It was pretty nice when they adjusted the cover and weapon model origins in BF4. You could still play cover, but at least you couldn't see and shoot while only exposing a mere pixel.

It's frustrating trying to play around defensive headglitches, even moreso when games seem to give you non-headshot hitmarkers when you are fortunate enough to hit them.

When I played I only used recoil control for basically long range at decent magnification. Anything 1/2x you have plenty of strafe speed to offset most ranges to accompany it with recoil smoothing.

At least knowing the rough vertical jump and the general left vs right horizontal movement between light and heavy for some bursting might not be bad either, in cases where a target is moving away and attempting to get to cover.
