Apex isn't exactly the best environment to help you determine improvement honestly. And yes, Kovaaks helps with a lot of aspects but you do need individual game mechanics and experience as well.

Getting a feel for movement, recoil control, how the game informs you to make better decisions via audio and visuals, etc.

Not to mention individual mechanics like the wide array of lurch Apex offers.
