I actually bumped it up to 1.5, then 1.8 for a while. But I think 1.8 is too fast, so I'm going back down to 1.5 for now
I think 1.8 makes you use your wrist too much, and you end up not using your arm properly
1.2-1.5 seems to be ideal, you are using your arm for tracking/aim smoothing but it's not so slow you feel like you have lazy aim
especially for movement heavy playstyles like I have, I try to do a lot of wallbounces and tap strafes and stuff

Make sure you are overclocking both your CPU and your GPU(For CPU, done in bios, for GPU, use MSI Afterburner), and that your RAM has it's XMP profile active and set correctly(done in bios).
Make sure everything in your nvidia controller panel is set correctly, to performance, and ingame settings are on lowest. There's more specific tunes you can do but the above are the mandatory ones that have to happen first.
double check ofc your monitor is set to the correct refresh rate and minimize everything on your other monitors while you play, discord included. Make sure you are using fullscreen exclusive at all times, no exceptions(DX12 doesn't have that though)

You should be able to get some performance boost out of it, even if minor. But yes, make sure your OC is stable, how high you can go will depend on how good your cooling is.
If it's unstable, undervolting or using stock is ok. Each system is unique and each processor has it's own threshholds.
some mobos can do it for you automatically as well, with great results, others you have to do it manually. So impossible to give a specific guideline imo. But good luck either way, there's a lot you can do to squeeze extra performance out of your hardware
