Yeah, playing around the pill was definitely the better solution there. Havoc/Devo are really bad for jiggle peeking because of the charge up, and the Mozam excells on playing cover to avoid damage in between shots.
Even if you landed your shots initially I don't think you'd still want to race a devo with no cover in an aim duel.

So I'm suggesting changes in a way that can keep the muzzle flash effect, but in a way that pevents it from encroaching towards the crosshair/middle of screen
which is really what's important, in the end. As annoying as the muzzle flash is, if we can get them to keep our crosshairs clear, that's already a thousand times better. I also suggest reducing the brightness so in 3pp fights the muzzle flash isn't as severe in cqc, both things which are much more likely to be seen as acceptable other than "just disable it"

I tried it, put some good effort into it, but it doesn't help. The issue with audio isn't that footsteps aren't loud enough, it's that if the audio is too busy, the footstep(and other audio) cues don't play at all
even if you manage to set your equalizer perfectly so that all other sounds besides footsteps are at like -10db and footsteps are +30db, you still won't hear them in those situations
it's an engine limitation. Likely, though, respawn will utilize a more modern engine going forward(with future games) instead of their customized version of source. Would be surprised to see them keep using it with all the unfixable issues it has in Apex

in task manager you can see this by going to more details > performance > memory > in use (compressed)
then seeing the number in the parentheses thats the amount of ram in compression if its a lot it can slow down performance

not 100% sure, that happened after a driver crash for me. I'm sure there's a way to force it, it happened while I was messing with my nvidia settings, but I haven't put in effort to figure which setting forced that.
it won't improve your FPS though unless you are specifically throttled by VRAM, which is virtually never the bottleneck for FPS
nearly all cards/setups will have the exact same FPS on high quality textures as low quality textures, it's really rare you'll have an improvement by lowering textures

Yea, you'd have to have a really scuffed setup for this to give you any improvement. I think the only instance I can think of is if you're on an integrated GPU and have grossly inadequate ram to support it
but that sort of setup basically doesn't exist in modern day PCs or even laptops. Doing this would basically only be because you like the clay look(i love it personally) or because you're trying to get an advantage in games where you can see through objects you normally couldn't, which imo would be cheating

Other one is that because streaming is so huge, it can make your game look like complete shit when there was a lot of time and effort put into making the game look a certain way, which can hurt marketability of your game towards more casual players, who tend to care about those kind of things more than gameplay a lot of time.
More competitive players tend to really chase performance which can dramatically impact visuals to the point where nearly every streamer will play with settings shit enough to give the impression to casuals that's how the game looks, especially when the games primary money making model is selling cosmetics, which are ruined/useless on those low ass settings

if you want to make clips from your favorite games i recommend medal or overwolf
easy archive to not have them on your pc

1v1 with more / better people who can provide you constructive feedback after the 1v1 (or have someone watch you live while you do it)
recording VODs and having someone review it helps a lot too

i came from a smallish apex community and aside from kvks, they recommend 1v1s — and i can be wrong on that
but i think 1v1s help improve your movement, awareness, and help build confidence too as a low-mid elo player
high elo — im not rlly sure how useful it is cuz like what Genosis said, Apex is rarely down to 1v1s
