I really just hope that it's toned down in general in the future. Like halo inf was legit unplayable, the aim assist was so strong that no MNK players could compete at all. The top 100 players had roughly equal accuracy to median controller players. The aim gap in that situation is just unbreachable by skill, and humans cannot match the consistency that level of aim assist grants controllers

and call of duty is the same, almost no MNK players because the rotational aim assist just beats everyone but the top 0.1% of aimers. raw input is just non-competitive at that point

They're just as accurate and precise as MNK, even without aim assist, and with flick stick controls, can be just as fast, if not faster. for me, it was some legacy setting they used to have that had a line in my config file. They updated the game's UI and settings so it was no longer something you could change, but the line in my config file never got deleted. So even when I re installed and did everything else, it didn't fix it

I happened to find it by chance in one of the cfgs when I was looking for something else and suddenly it all made sense. Fixing it got it working again immediately

anyway, there used to be a setting to disable ranked voice chat in gameplay options. That's no longer there, but in the cfg that was still there and set to 1. So I couldn't change anything in game to fix it since there's no UI tied to that line anymore, so until I stumbled on it by chance and fixed it I was just screwed. Those don't get deleted even if you uninstall the game

one thing I'd recommend for you is to take more advantage of recoil smoothing, a good example is that first kill. Instead of sitting still and trying to control recoil, you can strafe and smoothly move your camera in the opposite direction to get recoil smoothing, aka no recoil. It's especially good on SMGs since they strafe faster than ARs

it takes a bit of practice to be able to do it while changing directions and stay on target, especially if they're moving or adading, but it's worth the practice. It's better to do longer strafes w/ bias in Apex, anyway, as it's better vs aim assist, so you can practice them in tandem

Like every shot has a tracer, then on top of it, there's an aftereffect, like smoke trail. For the eva it's just 8 tracers + smoke trails every shot. If anything touches the ground or a wall, god help you because you've suddenly got plumes of dust big enough to cover the target completely

When in doubt. Find a way out.
A 3v3 can turn into a 3v3v3. Which you don't want to be in most scenarios

AA in some semblance is needed. Slowdown and some -slight- magnetism on ADS (with CD to reduce ADS spam) to help with microadjusting I think is perfectly fine. The problem is rotational, which doesn't exist to deal with controller issues as much as it's just to hurt skill gaps in attempts to make more money.

Even strictly console vs console I don't think rotational should ever be a thing. It just does too much to hurt skill gaps and stigmatizes legitimately good controller players.

depends, in pubs or in ranked? In ranked there's no point in trying to fight right off the bat unless you get a good starting kit, better to take fights when you have a useable kits, blue shields, and maybe a bat or two.

In pubs, yea. Only time I won't fight early is if I get like a p2020 on octane with white shields, because that gun is simply unuseable with his Q active due to the recoil jumping up and blocking the entire screen for some reason

imo trying to 50/50 in ranked when you have a white shield and shit kits is dumb, it minimizes your skill impact and relies more on luck, which I don't like. But none of that matters in pubs

ok tbf that is actually hard, because you can't see behind you to know if your ally is using you or not. So that's something you need to comm

if you know they are far back it's easy to make decision but usually if an enemy is that close to you it's a cqc brawl and you can't afford to turn around and look where your ally is. If he's using your shield and you drop it he'll get fried

What I find that ticks me off more is when we're in that situation and my ally ISN'T using my knockdown shield at all. Then they get melted by a controller player ofc

I've won so many clutches because of using the KD shield, but then my allies are just like, completely oblivious and stand next to me in the open, a foot to my left, trading shot for shot with a controller. Why?!
