Sadly Respawn will never work towards better matches. They only care about speed first and foremost.

Ranked system may have problems but a lot of them stem from things like unaddressed matchmaking.

All they've needed to do for the last three years is have a separate queue for squad vs solos, and slightly elongate ranked matches to better represent the rank spread.

Doesn't make sense for some gold lobby kid joining a server and getting smoked by a diamond three stack just because they don't want diamond queues to be more than five seconds.
