If the killer is occupied with chasing another survivor across the map. It may be best to try and get someone off the hook faster so they can be healed without interruption.

But to answer the question simply. Fixated (Nancy) increases walking speed, and Urban Evasion (Nea) Increases your crouched walking speed. If you are set on being ‘sneaky’

In terms of unhooking, you can’t really ‘speed up’ the unhook process, but you can speed up the healing after unhooking. “We’ll Make It” gives 100% healing speed after unhooking

In terms of gens, you have a lot of perks that increase repair times. A popular combo is “HyperFocus” (Rebeca) and “StakeOut” (Tapp). As well as other perks like “Prove Thy Self” (Dwight) to increase coop repair speed or “Deja Vu” that will highlight the closest gens to one another and give a speed increase on those gens

Don't take the game too seriously, take your time to learn things and have fun.

Don't let the content overwhelm you, focus on the default stuff you have (or DLCs if you got the game with some) and expand your horizons slowly while figuring out the playstyle you enjoy.

Don't be afraid to ask questions, there is a lot to get into but a lot of people here willing to help and ease into it

I always recommend either Wraith or Legion to play first for characters that are easy to understand and play on the killer side.

Leon's perks aren't very worth at all but if you enjoy Resident Evil or Leon as a character, go for it. All survivors are the exact same aside from the perks they initially start with (you can get these perks on any survivor)

Ghostface is considered on the weaker end, but all killers are capable of winning games and getting good results consistently with enough practice. Most opinions are more about the ease of getting 4 kills more than if they're capable

Coordinated teams can make Ghostface feel much much worse, but early on in the game you will have plenty of opportunity. Overall just play who you enjoy!

His schtick is that he can stealth around the map and "stalk" survivors. If he stalks a survivor enough they become "marked" and he can instantly down them in a single hit for a period of time.

He also has a variety of addons (modifiers basically) which can mess around with this simply ability further

Ghost Face isnt bad by any means hes just not partjcularly amazing. Hes one of the most popular killers in the game regardless.

He's a fun killer with an extremely cool theme and a super well-done power. I think he's one of the best designed killers in the game. He's weak but that only matters as much as you let it. This game is literally a joke when it comes to balancing. Blight can win every game on autopilot, a weak killer can get zero stages if good survivors bring 4 syringes and broken perks. None of it matters unless you decide in your head that it does 😭

Deerstalkers gotta go, if you’re going to use Pop, maybe try pairing it with “Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance” or “Erruption” to give added benefit from down/ hooks.

Corrupt is already to slow down the early game. But lethal pursuer is useless after the first 7 seconds unless paired with another aura perk.

I don’t know what perks you have available, but maybe trying perks to complement each other would help. For example :

Hmmm, Trial and Dragon’s synergize well as well as the exposure from DG and DH. Although if you wanted to lean into a more risky approach if you feel confident in your chase and patrolling.

Something like :
Hex : Devour Hope
Hex : Plaything
Hex : Pentimento
Scourge Hook : Gift of Pain

That way you can be stealthy, force slowdown hopefully capitalize off of Devour and make them have a rougher time while healing which in-advertantly give you your power more often.

Alien’s “Rapid Brutality” would go good on Wesker. And Sadako’s “Scourge Hook: Floods of Rage” would go good on most killers.

Past that in terms of just straight up what killer would be fun to play. Vecna, Sadako, Pig and Ghost Face are all enjoyable. Just depends on play style

Ghostface and Pig are both stealth kilers which apply pressure in different ways. Sadako is a unorthadox killer that cant really be summarized briefly. Vecna can switch between different spells which do different things on the fly durring chase, which leads to an interesting skill curve. Alien can move quickly across the map using underground tunnels and if it does it gains its second ability which is a deadly long ranged tail attack comparable to nem's whipe but more precise like a Slinger shot. Demo can set up portals he can teleport between and has the ability to charge a leaping forward attack similar to dracula's wolf form but he can do it whenever he wants as many times as he wants.

They are both basic attacks and not at the same time. In terms of satisfying a perk condition, anything applied from a ‘basic attack’ should apply during power. But haven’t played them in a min so idk if its been changed or whatnot

General tips would be think about survivor movements when trying to snipe with your ground slash.

Perks that can complement this are things like “Lethal Pursuer” and “I’m All Ears” or things of that nature to directly give aura reading to make snipes easier.

In terms of power. Putting Sphagetti on the floor in high traffic areas as you patrol is essential to punish survivors for moving normally, which in turn makes them take longer to get to objectives.

Also if you have survivors infected (forget the word for it). Dont send them to a cage until they’ve been hooked twice, so you can mori them instead.

It’s not a bad build, highly depends on your chase, patrol and search skill honestly.

Corrupt Intervention is good for early game, eruption is good for holding a tight 3/4 gen setup, sloppy is good on oni because we love blood and A Nurses Calling is good but a few perk swaps could be beneficial in terms of overall play.

If you're struggling with blight flicks it helps to keep in mind that they have 2 components. You can turn your camera ~50 degrees before you swing, and another 50 degrees after you swing. If you turn and then swing or swing and then turn, you won't be able to do a sharp ~90 degree flick. You have to swing in the middle of flicking your mouse to the side, so you max out the pre-swing look angle and the post-swing look angle. prob not the best way of describing it but hopefully it makes sense

He can even use something like trail of torment or unforseen if you like those perks

ok, heres a situation for you, three survivors remain, the last gen has popped, in this situation youre most likely gonna get a 2k unless the survivors really mess up, but with no way out, you might have enough time to down and hook one survivior, and if theyre on death hook you might find a third survivor, chase and hook them then either camp them till death or find the fourth survivor, that turns a 2k into a 3 or even 4k if youre lucky

Although bbq and dms are really good on her to basically guarantee the dms triggering since you will see where the survivors are. Later you will not need this since you will learn to remember survivor positions which makes bbq less valuable. but in the beginning bbq is really good

Yes you're playing against newer/decent players. The more you win, which btw a 3k or more counts as a win for killer. 2k is a draw, 1k is a loss. 3k will make you gain mmr, 4k will make you gain even more mmr. 2k makes you stay at the same amount, and 1k you will lose some mmr. But when you reach a certain "soft-cap" you can not go under that mmr again. And also if you have super high mmr on one killer, you will retain some of it when you play someone else. For example you can not be a super blight main and then go play trapper and face noobs. you will still play decent people as trapper since you have high mmr on blight

Keep in mind that the second addon you have there will significantly reduce your stalk range, so you cant really do the stay hidden and farm stalk from a far with that addon. But if that works for you, it works

If you have a 3 Gen set up it makes the game way harder for Survivors

it can be, depends what killer you're playing too. If you're playing a territorial killer like Trapper, Hag or Singularity, it can be really good to lock down an area. If you're playing a high mobility killer like billy, blight or kaneki, it gives you more freedom since you can get back to that area very fast.

When aiming a hatchet, don't follow your camera back and forth with a survivor that's dodging, keep your camera still and release the hatchet when the survivor's hitbox is lined up in front of you.

When survivors vault windows or pallets, they lock into the animation. When they do that, the item in their hand disappears. Pay attention to the survivor's items when they attempt to vault something so you know whether you guarantee the hit or if they'll try to dodge it.

Lastly, try to aim at the survivor's butt since it's the easiest way to hit a hatchet and if the survivor tries to crouch to dodge a throw, it won't work.

With shack and long tall loops, the most you can do is win the pallet 50/50s or precharge your hatchet before you turn a corner to maybe eke out a hit

Charging a hatchet before turning a corner is very useful at shack too if you combine that with the vault trick if you see their item disappear. You can also wait until a survivor is bottlenecked (stuck in between two things where they can't dodge a hatchet as easily) so you almost guarantee the hit

Oh thought you meant actually high walls. For short walls, learning to aim over/through them is just something that comes with practice. If survivors over-dodge while you're looping with a hatchet out, you'll just walk around it normally and hit them without having to aim through/over something

It can be, but most of your downs and injures should come from hatchets

If a survivor is close up and easy to m1, use a hatchet so you have a shorter cooldown, lose less distance, and the survivor makes less distance since they're most likely going to be trying to dodge, wasting their speed boost

Oh, you can hit between the shelves but it takes a lot of practice. For stuff like this, just loop straightforward and only try to aim when you get close so you can force the pallet. On this particular loop you can pre-aim around corners if you're close enough

You can’t do generators, go for unhooks, cleanse hexes. They all fall under conspicuous actions. With the 80 second OTR it honestly hurt more than it helped. (Unless you’re coordinated of course)
