@ancient arch fixated helps bc it depends on where ur standing by the vault on which way u jump over it. i’ve been in chase before and barely got to the vault while sprinting and went over it slow/climbed over it instead of the quick jump. walking towards it with that little haste can make it easier to get the smooth vault

I dont if someone answered it or not yet, but if he is in Tier III, with either the purple Tombstone piece or the Iri Tombstone, he can mori injured or healthy survivors. With the purple piece he exits Tier III after the animation with the Iri he can do as long as he is in Tier III. However if you are in an animation, such as vaulting, repairing, healing, opening gates, cleansing, or lifting pallets, he cant mori you. The most common way is to hop in a locker if you suspect it. While he can grab you, it is better to be hooked than just dead off the bat

Okay so this is a pretty weird build but I run with a map and the add on which every survivor can see the detectives perk I forgot the name of which like whenever a gen is completed the aura of chests and totems will be shown to you and then you run any boon perk like the healing one and then run dramaturgy and hardened (you need to bless/cleanse a totem and open a chest for this to work) which whenever you do those 2 tasks everytime you scream you reveal the killers aura and dramaturgy can make you scream sometimes it’s a pretty goofy build but it helps against killers who have like 48473 hexs and allows you to use ur boon

The Tombstone, piece or iri, does make him take longer to get to tier III but if someone is paying attention he can get there quick. Again the best option is to force a locker pull because being down a teammate that early is hard on the team

NTH is great in general, but the best thing abt nth is that the aura reading range follows the killer for the duration its active, which means nurse's blink will carry nth after kicking for a bit, helping you find survivors or even get silly hits on your second blink

For killer:

My general recommendation for new killers is to primarily play wraith. He’s an m1 killer that will help you learn the basics of chase, while also having high mobility and an easy to use stealth/power that will see much success in the newer lobbies you’ll presumably find yourself in.

In terms of general gameplay and strategies, 1) don’t over commit to a chase, sometimes you have to be fine with just getting an injure or removing a strong pallet in the game, then moving elsewhere. Wraith is actually incredibly good at this. 2) it’s alright if one, two, or even 3 gens pop in your first chase. You want to keep your 3 gen somewhere in your strategy, but even then it’s not that important. The game will get much easier once there are fewer gens to patrol and you have constant pressure with a person on the hook, a person that needs to be healed, and perhaps even a person in chase. 3) watch videos on looping. Even survivor sided ones. This will give you a better idea of the thought process on both sides, give you more exposure to the game itself, and help ingrain mindgames in your head. 4) always mindgame! Windows of opportunity is a very popular perk that often leads survivors to beeline to every resource. If you play into their game and just take the time to break every pallet, then you’re gonna end up on a 5 gen chase montage. For survivor:

Basically you want to loop, which is to hug obstacles tightly, to make it more difficult for the killer to catch up to you, and mindgame, which in the dbd community is anything that involves your decision making around resources like pallets and windows, where you can feint using them or condition the killer into thinking you don’t use resources right before you commit to a pallet or window, causing the killer to waste a lot of time.

The killer will always catch up to you at some point, the idea is to waste as much time with as little resources as possible. That’s not to say never use resources, you just want to be mindful for your teammates

I wouldnt say you're necessarily using it wrong. it could simply be the survivors you're matched with.

Perk builds are NOT an exact science. your personal gameplay will always have a greater impact on the match, and builds can always be some combination of perks that universally work well. The only time you really have variety is when you're intentionally playing a niche build for fun, otherwise the main conditions for making a build are 1) does your killer need help in chase 2) is your killer a special attack or basic attack user and 3) do you want to use info or not

outside of animations the killer can just look up or down and completely avoid being blinded. the only time you want to try flashlight saves is when the killer is in the animation of picking your teammate up. That gif displays the timing of a flashlight save. Its actually much easier since the gif is a bit outdated and you can start much earlier in the animation, but if you're TOO early or TOO late, even if you get the blind, it wont do anything

The best you can do for the first hit is to break line of sight and try to delay it as best you can. The first hit is almost always gonna be unavoidable.

For the rest of the chase, don't overextend and hold W where you can't, look for nearby pallets and windows you can chain together if he happens to break a pallet (breaking a pallet when he hasn't used any leaps will put him on a cooldown so you can make a little distance.)

Also don't be afraid to play pallets more safely, don't greed them too much and drop them after 1-2 loops. If you don't think you can make another run around, then don't risk it

From not mending, specifically. That is when you are in deep wound and see the yellow bar under your portrait and on the screen. It ticks down when not running or actively mending and will down you if you let it expire.

Just to clear things up, I was responding to someone asking about why people suddenly appear to be going down. Not sure if you chimed in to that or wanted to know about FTD giving you notifications in particular . Either way, downed survivors will also scream from perks like Infectious Fright. So it makes sense for FTD to do the same.

For your first perk, Corrupt Intervention should be on almost every Pig build.

From there, you can decide whether you wish to have a bit more of a proactive, or passive approach with your perks. Both approaches work fine, it just depends on how you like to play.

For a more proactive approach, I recommend Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance, Hex: Fortune's Fool and Grim Embrace. All three of these perks provide solid slowdown and overwhelm the average team of Survivors very easily in conjuction with the Reverse Bear Traps. Despite Pig being considered a weaker Killer, I find this build to be very strong and performing admirably.

Some of these perks might be a little inconsistent sometimes, though. If you like a more straightforward approach, pair Corrupt Intervention with No Holds Barred and No Way Out. These perks give you passive slowdown without you doing much in return. You can pair these three perks with Grim Embrace, or a chase perk like Enduring, Bamboozle or Coup de Grâce. The first of those three being my favourite.

Leverage and Gift of Pain are guaranteed value if you hook someone on a scourge hook, though. Whereas Coulrophobia is terror-radius based and Onryo has a lot of Undetectable going on, which makes that perk less useful.

Deathslinger has best perks and is one of the most satisfying to play as if you invest time into him. I'd argue his perks are the best set.

Dredge is not so great in comparison to the others, but he's not bad. A little fun if you like scaring people. I'd say his perks are middling between the other two.

Oni is the best of the three in terms of strength and enjoyment imo. High skill ceiling but very rewarding. But his perks set are arguably the worst of the three.

Yes indeed. THere's a codelist you can search up online "DBD codes" (idk the website) that has all the valid codes. They give bloodpoints, iri shards, and cosmetics/charms

And you could also be probably reported for spawning 4 meters away from someone. Because sometimes when people spawn in front of me but are looking away when they spawn, it pisses me off enough that I wish the worst on them.

On all seriousness, to avoid getting penalised by BHVR through a report. Just don't do obvious things like use cheats, exploits (If you see a tech online that's not been patched for years, it's most likely not considered an exploit yet by BHVR, use at your own volition), or being a piece of shit (tunneling, slugging, camping, returning to hook is not being a piece of shit) you should be fine.
