it feels like a combination of both. i largely lack map pressure on Springtrap so for the duration of a chase, 1-2 gens will pop per chase. it feels like i have to let go of chases after 1 hit in order to hit gens which leads to no hooks. people will also immediately sprint burst/dramaturgy whenever i approach their gen, making chasing them far too costly

chases are also taking way too long on him because if i throw my fireaxe to catch up to them, they'll W-key to a strong tile/loop. if i then reclaim my fireaxe to try and anti-loop them with it (which isn't too strong of an anti-loop power in the first place) they'll leave the tile in favor of a stronger one. it ends up being an endless loop until they make a major misplay or mistake

Springtrap is hurt by holding W and exhaustion perks, when you hook someone you can either try to down someone else before they are unhooked or possibly do a trade/tunnel or whatnot

Early game is important, you wanna chase multiple survivors at the start of the game, if gens start flying try to get someone dead and protect a 3 gen if possible, watching killer gameplay helps a lot too

agitation reduces the time spent hooking survivors, furtive chase reduces the time spent reaching doors after hooking, mindbreaker should prevent sprint bursting off of gens and ruin is passive slowdown while i harass survivors

True, my personal favorite build for Springtrap that works every time is furitive chase friends till the end/nemesis trail of torment and eruption

so far i've experienced complete failure with springtrap due to my inability to pressure gens/end chases quick enough so i'm trying to make a build that makes up for my weaknesses on him. i love the killer and i love fnaf and his power is fun but i just can't play him if i keep losing as much as i do on him

crowd control is automatic bamb triggered by survs and nwo is must-take for endgame builds. 60 seconds of stall is crazy. + you can do starstruck mad grit

Use grim or dms to get them off gens no matter what don’t be afraid to drop chase with him since his portals are 2 inches away from gens

do you have any advice? i've already spent 5 million bloodpoints on him and bought glitchtrap (because of my love for fnaf, not the weird p2w stuff) and so far i've had no success on him at all. i tried all sorts of perks and addons and i still find myself losing constantly. i'm not bad with his fireaxes (i hit them most of the time) and i've mained killer since 2018

If that’s who you normally play then it makes sense why you’re struggling with Springtrap, he plays different than all of them
