A check spot is a location within a loop while you're playing as survivor. You stand there to stop and see what direction the killer is coming from. The position is placed in such a way that you'll see them coming and still have enough time to get to a safe spot (pallet/vault)

That one is killer dependent and tough to directly answer. For some killers, throw ASAP, while others you want to hold onto it as long as possible.

I've heard someone even mention pre dropping them against some, is that correct? That seems like a waste of a potential stun.

Singularity is the #1 suspect for that. Overclock makes him immune to stuns, so you almost never want to try for it.

Other examples are killers that can hit you over pallets, like Nemesis and Xenomorph. They EXPECT you to throw the pallet and stun them, so they stop short of the pallet and wind up their power to hit you AS you drop it.

Actually, for ranged weapons, it's better to restrain from throwing them until you're VERY confident the killer is NOT going to use their power to hit you.

Killers slow down when they ready/miss their power. If they expect you to throw the pallet, but you don't and dodge the hit instead, this buys you enough time for another loop.

2 types of pallets, safe and unsafe. An unsafe pallet (like a car loop) can be mindgamed so even if you drop the pallet and vault to the wrong side or too slow the killer gets a hit. A safe pallet (like shack) can't really be avoided for the killer so they have to break it. You should rarely predrop unsafe pallets and instead play for the pallet drop stun.

The broad answer here is because the MMR system said this was the best match available.

Note that prestige and playtime does not factor into MMR.

When in chase don't stop at a loop. Keep running around and "looping" the object tightly until the killer is close (often just 1 or 2 times depending on size of object). When the killer is close drop the pallet, try to go for the stun, then run to a new loop because that loop with the now dropped pallet now is relatively unsafe.

the key is to keep moving and making distance. Don't stay at an unsafe loop. If you cross it to get someplace else good.

You can still get hit, but you can never be grabbed off a fast pallet vault.

On indoor maps, just try your best to keep a mental note of every one you run across is located. Try to focus on areas that don't have completed gens when scouting.

The 3rd time you fast vault the same window in the same chase, it gets blocked.
There are also killer perks that block the window early under different conditions.

that is "the entity" blocking future survivor vaults. Survivors can only vault the same window 3 times in chase then it gets blocked and the prompt goes away. Other killer perks can also block the window. The most common is bamboozle from leatherface. the killer vaults windows faster and the blocks them for 20 seconds afterwards.

They don't always tell the full story though. If you were a hero and looped the killer for 10 minutes, your altruistic emblems are going to still be low.

Yes, naturally you can only gain 40k BP per game due to the 1k cap/4 categories (not counting bonuses and extra stuff like event BP or challenges)

Some challenges may ask you to interact with an object which awards BP. In these cases, the BP goes to a separate hidden 5th "bonus" category

The premium rift is entirely cosmetics, meaning it's really down to your personal taste.

Worth noting if you complete the rift, it "refunds" itself and you get 1000 auric cells back in pieces.

Charms for the most part are gone, but there's a weekly rotation in the shop to pick up older ones for a small amount of cells.

As for character cosmetics themselves, some may be seasonal like christmas/halloween, or some may just not have gotten back into the shop yet after leaving the rift.

The bloodweb is the only method. You'll naturally accumulate way more items/addons/offerings than you can use if you spend your points on 1 specific character. Some people have literally thousands of copies of addons.

there are 4 emblems, you need them gold or higher to pip generally. you can read how to get higher ranks on them on the after match screen or try googling, see if the wiki has a page on them

there are 2 ways to remove a hook for a temporary amount of time, the amount of time the hook is gone is dependant on the perk used or addons on the toolbox. its not permanent but there are builds based around removing hooks while the killer is trying to get tot hem

It seemed to have been disabled for a really long time either way. The first time I wiggled off, the second time they brought me back they still couldn't use it so they stored my body on the floor and shook their head at me before picking me back up and bringing me somewhere else, it was the funniest thing.

the nurse places a sort of beacon, that keeps moving forward until you release or it hits max range. most people dont know if you look down you can shorten the range when people try to move towards you to bait it out, the second blink is a limited time frame so people will generally panic and go right to where they think you'll be, so unique pathing is effective when they dont have line of sight
