Clown is usually universally the right choice because he has Bam and Pop, which are some of the strongest in the game. I personally really enjoy using coup, and I use it on all my m1 killers (clown, ghostface, dredge, etc) but twins perks aren't as good overall. Oppresssion is okay. I'd start with clown

I'd add that watching how to loop tiles video really help. You also need need to get used to check spots and camera angle, when to look back and when it's time to look in front.

When he's in night shroud, he is undectable and can stalk you, and if he does so for a total of 5 seconds (not necessarily 5 seconds straight), he can expose you. what they can do is almost fully stalk you, and then when you are out in the open, immediately complete the stalk and expose you on the spot.

You can reveal him somewhat consistently by placing him in the top middle of your screen, you may have to shift it around a little for it to activate but once you do it'll but night shroud into cooldown.

Here's the thing, ghostface doesn't have a chase power so while he can down you in one shot, he has no special tools to help him do so. play it safe and you'll be fine.

• Undetectable: When active, The Ghostface loses his Terror Radius and red stain, making him harder to spot.
• Stalking: While in Night Shroud, The Ghostface can stalk survivors within a 40-meter radius, filling their "Stalk Meter".
• Marking: Once a survivor's Stalk Meter is full, The Ghostface can mark them, leaving them in the Exposed status effect, making them vulnerable to a one-hit down.

To counter Ghostface, listen to his costume "ruffling" sound, you can hear the tissue through the wind if you pay attention.
It makes a distinct sound and allows you to hear him coming while undetectable.

Also looking at him to break him out of stealth but you need to see most of his body.

Learning what perks are good and bad just come from playing. If you have a question about a specific perk, we can share. For example, mad grit is generally bad because the benefit of Iron Grasp is it lets y ou reach further away hooks. Mad grit requires hitting a survivor while carrying to get value, while iron grasp will help you if survivors take hits AND to reach further hooks, if you get sabo'd for example

Agitation is generally considered the 'best' carry perk because speed lets you get hits on survivors that are at the edge of your attack range and reach hooks faster and further, but its a trapper perk. Thus second place is iron grasp

Artist and Clown. Artist has grim embrace and pain ress, some of the best perks in the game. Clown has pop and bamboozle, also some of the best perks in the game.

Well most builds are hitting a few different categories. Lets take my Trickster build. I use pain res and grim embrace because they are both easy to use and very strong regression (pain res) and slowdown (grim embrace). I also use bamboozle to aid in chases, and then usually Fire Up just to help a few different things. When I play, say, Clown my build is different because I need something different. I'm confidant in my map pressure with clown, but I like to keep chases short with Coup, Bam, and Brutal, and so only use Pain Res to slow the game down.

Generally you don't need "one of everything"- Aura, regression, slowdown, info, buffs, whatever. You just need to either play into your strengths, or cover up a shortcoming in either you or your character

If you ask for builds, generally you can expect to see the same few "meta" perks. Most people will run either Pain Res or Pop. They're simply that good and the regression is super strong. Then you'll usually see a slowdown. Maybe Deadlock, maybe DMS, maybe Grim. The last 2 perks usually depend on the killer. Pig for example gets value out of Face the Darkness because screaming interrupts box searches. Some killers suffer at windows and so take Bam. Some take Brutal because predropping pallets slows them down too much, whatever

Some killers require setup like Trapper and so take Corrupt Intervention

Is 2 gen regression perks generally worth running? I see alot of killers playing with 2 and j wonder if its worth running it instead of an aura reading / slowdown perk

So looking at the perks: dark arrogance (faster vaults but longer pallet stuns), languid touch (exhaustion if a survivor scares a crow near you) and weave attunement (when item is used up it's dropped, survivors in 12m of items on the ground have aura revealed and if they pick up an item they get oblivious)
Kinda a mixed bag, prob would be perks to toss into more dedicated builds surrounding them.
Magic hand negates some of dark arrogance with holding pallets and the other two perks are little bonuses.
Let's focus on building up your power as that will be the main thing to go for
Sphere good for some tracking and disabling their magic items, magic hand good for making it so they cannot use pallets (don't lift pallets up they can just drop them back down again), skellies are good for slowing down survivors or catching them behind cover, and fly is great for catching up to them
Add-ons I'd recommend would be ring of spell storing for good uptime on spamming your spells, and any of these to pair with it (lantern of revealing, boots of speed, or iri book I don't think this is really needed as you have faster vaults anyway)
I'd run ring of spell storing and boots of speed and bring a dead dawg map offering

Depends really if you're lacking in gen pressure because they are flying even if you have fast chases or your chases are taking a little longer
Go for gen perks in the first case and more chase/aura/etc that will help with your hooks

The last survivor always just refuses to go near the basement even if it means guaranteed death. I've been doing trapper with iron grasp, noed, agitation, and monstrous shrine. I can always get one, most of the time get 2 or 3, never get the fourth.

The perks Iron Grasp and Agitation can greatly help with this, along with sending yourself to a map with the basement reliably in the center, like Coldwind.

Remember, the first 2 hooks on a survivor don't need to be in the basement. Only the last one does.

In my experience plot twist has always been sketchy on activation. Just make sure you’re crouched, not inputting any directional movement, and spam the plot twist button

So what killer you are up against is hidden from the survivors before the match and the beginning of the match until you yourself verify it. But sometimes the game spoils the killer you are going up against with a tip in the loading screen. Why is this?

Ill be honest, this game is so diverse with perks, just gotta try out some perks and see how they feel on certain killers. For instance, using Trail of Tormant on Bubba and Billy is amaaaazing. Coup De Gras on killers like Myers and Ghostface, is also hilarious. If you want a traditional, standard build you can use on ANY killer, a decent regular can be Corrupt Intervention, Pain Resonance, Discordance, and Pop Goes the Weasle. They all come from oroginal killers too and dont need any DLC killers

-> Dance with Me (requires a fast vault)
-> Deception (fakes going into a locker and removes scratch marks)
-> Poised (removes scratch marks when a gen is completed)
-> Boon: Shadow Step (removes auras and scratch marks in its range)
-> Distortion (suppresses scratch marks when triggered)

theres a few things to learn with pyramid head, but functions well with the base understanding of killers
