#They should not allow foodstands to play non-dnb music.

I mean it’s a nice change of pace tbh. You can listen to DnB literally everywhere else at the festival
To each their own I guess, for me it really disrupted the vibe. But good to hear that there are other perspectives who did like it
I think it was a good change of pace. If the opinion is you don’t want any non-dnb then say goodbye to most Nebula sets lmaoo
The volume wasn’t too bad with it in my opinion
I feel like nebula is very different as it is a tiny stage which if you don't like it can just skip. I think nebula is a blast, and an active choice to listen to something else. The food queues imo is different
i think it's totally fine to play very different music at the food places but honestly the music that was played was between extremely odd and just plain bad. and many songs overstayed their welcome by minutes.
i'd suggest some disco or some good mood music but maybe not the top tracks that could get people into opening their own dancefloor there.
I loved the 80s hit tracks at the camping shop when walking back to my tent! 😇
Solution: we should book this guy
felt the same, perhaps not as strongly as the OP but some food tents sounded a bit off and the problem is not as much that it's playing as it is that you can't escape it, unless you are willing to sacrifice food altogether
also thought of a potential solution: plenty of hobby bedroom DJs bring their decks and speakers and play off their tent just for fun (I did that too). and the biggest problem with that is speaker batteries (they tend to die). food stalls on the other hand have power and relatively good speakers. so why not connect them? relatively straighforward to facilitate (public Calendly link so that anyone who wants can book a slot) => more turnover for the stall + some exposure for beginner DJs.
people would open their own dancefloors around the food area and i think that's why they're not playing D&B in the first place.
