really depends on the weather, but you're probably better off looking for a way to deal with the stuffy heat

it's most likely going to be an extremely hot summer

but for the coldness, if it get's below 10 degrees that's insanely cold for NL summers, so a regular summer sleeping bag will do more than fine. No special air mattress needed

IMO, what is best to bring is a decent sleeping bag and a good mattress. Those do a lot for you. The matress itself is a big layer of insulation (cuz theres no better thermal insulator than air) and the sleeping bag keeps you nice and cozy

here's a question - is there good way to lock/protect your belongings in a kartent when camping? just had the irrational thought of losing my stuff when I come over (I'm not planning on bringing lots of expensive shit with me don't worry I just don't want anything to go missing because that would be very upsetting )

Kartents are pretty hard to get into but you cant really lock them i think? theres like a clamp at the front you can use to tie the door flap to the ground and that sits in there pretty good
